Loco walked beside Alex like a perfect gentleman it almost kind of scared her. Obviously he was just putting on a show or he was just happy to get out of the stall. But she still wasn't giving any slack just in case he was just acting. She led him over and made him stop still keeping a safe grip on him in case he tried something. You could never be too careful around Loco. And as if to prove her right he yanked his head way up high and then came down and bit her on the shouldeer. She snapped the lead line twice and smacked him on his neck. She definately didn't let him walk all over her but i mean come on the horse weighs like 1,200lbs. at the least and she only ways a 110lbs. So if he really was determined to hurt her there wouldn't be a thing she could do.
He snorted and stamped his foot on the ground in protest as she punished him. But stood still then his eyes switched and focus on Anthony he just glared at him for a while like he was thinking of a way to hurt him or get away. After he had calmed back down she relaxed her body a bit but remained on alert. "Yeah well that kinda explains him excet he gets worse." She smirked and wiped her forehead. Her shoulder was gunna hurt later but for now she ignored it.

Ah the life of a horseman who works with crazy horses. He knew perfectly well what that was like. He'd ridden enough high strung thoroughbreds in his career as a jockey to understand the meaning of pain. Some people will complain about getting their finger smashed by a hammer, but until they get intentionally stepped on by a horse, they have no idea what pain meant. I mean really, two pound hammer, at least 1,000 pound horse...get my meaning?
"I understand how that goes." Anthony replied, a slight smile crossing his face. He knew the cunning of a horse, and he could see it in Loco, and didn't trust him for a minute. They were unpredictable animals, and the best way to avoid getting hurt by one was to keep a close eye on them. "What's he do?" He asked, wondering what sort of riding Loco was accustomed to...or would become accustomed to. He didn't know anything about him really, except that he looked like he was a huge handful.
King had "watched" the other horse and the girl returning, but wasn't really all that interested in them anymore. As long as he could hear Anthony close by him, he would be just fine with having strangers outside his stall. If they had been out on the track though, it would have been another story. Out there, he was a violent competitor, and the sound of any other horse just about drove him crazy.

Loco watched the guy in front of him intently as if he were going to lash out but he didn't he stood by Alex's side and didn't move. She held a loose grip on the lead line not because she trusted him but just incase he pulled his head up again that he wouldn't pull her arm out of its socket. She smirked at his response and nodded her head. They both had some mental cases on their hands. She loved working with loco because he was a challenge a HUGE challenge but despite that she still loved him.
She thought about his question for a moment before answering not that she didn't know but it was a little complicated. "Well Hmmmm he was a racer but he got to out of control and no one was able to train or even ride him so. His owner sold him and thats how i got him. But right now we haven't worked enough to decide if we are going to go back to racing or try something new." She was hoping he would be able to go back to racing because he was such and amazing runner. Well at least when he ran across the feild lept over the fence and took of for about 3 to 4 miles while they chased him in the car.

"He looks like he'd have some speed." Anthony commented, his focus on Alex, but keeping the horse in the corner of his eye. He'd been beat up enough by a horse for one day, he didn't need any more. Speaking of which, that cut on his arm was starting to ache. It wasn't a terrible pain, but he knew he'd have to account for it later if he didn't do anything about it. Oh well, right now it was just like a pesky fly would be to a horse. He wasn't too concerned about it.
For a moment he let his attention wander fully to the horse, looking him over with an experienced eye. He'd been riding since he was old enough to do so, horses were no mystery to him, and especially not thoroughbreds. To be honest he really didn't know anything about any other breed except thoroughbreds. His first horse had been a mixed breed that only did trails, but he'd started racing in Mexico at about the age of 15. Since then, his life revolved around the race horses, the demons of the track. They thrilled him to no end, and he was certain that the moment he was healed enough from the accident and could find a mount, he'd be back out there on the turf, guiding his horse home.

Lexi kept her eyes on Anthony but her full attention was on Loco making sure he wasn't going to try anything. She smiled "Oh he has plenty of speed. He just won't let anyone touch him beside me." She shook her head and looked at the stud sternly. He was such a beautiful horse when his ears weren't pinned. She eyed him before turning back to Anthony. Loco snorted and reached his nose for Anthony but didn't touch him or bit him just reached out. Alex didn't pull him back but didn't let him fully extend either.
She figured today they would work on backing him to see how he would react with her touched him and putting pressure on his back. He was ok being saddled and stuff but when ever they went to the round pens or to the track. Its almost like he thought it was going to swallow him up. She thougth it was funny but he hated it and would practically trample anyone who got in his way of excaping. It was funny thogh because he had never been abused or handled roughly and he wasn't blind but go figure.

"I wouldn't doubt it." Anthony said in response. Loco looked like the sort of horse who had one handler/rider, and one only. He was a good looking animal, which was rather deceiving. Most people thought that beautiful horses were the sort who galloped freely over the beaches and frolicked in the waves. The kind of horses that little kids could climb up on and ride without a bridle or saddle. Unfortunately, this generalization was far from true. More often than not, the big beautiful horses were the ones that couldn't be trusted around kids. Most of the time they were the sort of horses that, if let loose on a beach, would never be seen again.
He still kept his attention focused on Alex, though he could still see the horse out of the corner of his eye. If Loco tried anything, he would see it coming. In all his years as a jockey, peripheral vision was something of a requirement, as was the ability to pay attention to multiple things at once. It wasn't easy to ride a horse, keep him focused, and under control while at the same time listening to the trainer's instructions, as well as attempting to tune out the media reporters. Being a jockey required a lot of multi tasking, and he had developed that skill quite well over the past six years.

"Yeah but once i tap into his stuberness then we will be good to go." She looked at King from the corner of her eye he was such a pretty animal. She loved thoroughbreds they were her life. When she was younger and her parents had the farm she would always sneek into the barn at night to lay in their stalls of course she was never aloud in the stallion barn because of Diablo but that was ok she loved him even if he was a giant devil. He was a pretty Palomino Thoroughbred really rare but very pretty. Alex loved her parents farm but once she went to collage horses kind of fell out of her life but she went straight back to them once she graduated.
Loco was a nut but she loved him and knew she could turn him around with some patients and hard work. He was a headcase alright but could be the smartest horse you ever met sometimes. She turned her attention back to Anthony and smiled she couldn't wait till that evening to watch King run he was such a beautiful horse. And seeing what Anthony did with King would give her some inspiration with Loco.

As mentioned before, every horse has some little bit of a demon in him, but it wasn't mentioned that every horse has some little bit of respect and understanding in him also. There were no exceptions to this. Not even the most wild and disobedient horse is outside of this. So it was with both King and Loco. As Alex said, she had only been working with Loco for a little while, and yet he already stood quietly beside her, completely changed from the wild horse he'd been in the stall. For him and King it was the same way. If anyone so much as touched King, he would about go crazy, but when Anthony had the lead he was mostly a gentleman.
"I'm sure he'll learn quickly." Anthony commented, looking to her horse, "He looks like he's got the cunning of a fox and the brains to go along with it." He could see it in Loco. He wasn't a stupid animal. In fact, he was probably just about the opposite of that. The little spark of mischief that he was keeping restrained within him was proof enough of his being an exceedingly smart horse. Anthony's thoughts were interrupted though when King lurched sideways suddenly in his stall and knocked against his water bucket. He wheeled, as best he could in his stall and moved away from the bucket that had, in King's mind, attacked him. He lifted his head high and flared his nostrils wildly as he "looked" at the thing.

Alex nodded she agreed that Loco was very smart but sometimes his smarts could make him do really stupid things. In fact when she was young and had a mare that was extremely smart she would say that some horses could be so smart that they went full circle back to stupid. But this wasn't the cse with Loco he was smart and it showed but most the time he didn't put his smarts to good use and it only made him a raged beast. "Yeah he is really smart i just haven't figured out how to--" She was cut off by Kings sudden outburst. When she turned her head to see what was the matter. Loco reached out and bit Anthony in the arm. In doing so he pulled the lead line which caused Alex to get pulled and fall into loco. Which only mad him freak out and he reared letting go of Anthony's arm.
ooc; Sorry for such the short crappy post. Low muse. If you want i can change it.

The little disruption behind Anthony turned into a rather large one as Loco decided to take advantage of Alex's temporary distraction from him. Anthony saw the horse coming towards him, unfortunately, he wasn't quite quick enough to react, and felt the horse's teeth close on his arm. However, Loco let go quickly as Alex was pulled into him and he rose up into the air. The jockey could feel blood seeping out of where Loco's teeth had embedded into his arm, but like the other injuries he'd sustained, it would be a while before he actually felt the pain. He was so used to getting bitten by horses that it never really hurt all that much anymore anyway.
At the sound of more disruption outside of his stall, King just about panicked. He backed hastily away from the door and the commotion, pressing his hips into the corner and pawing at the floor. He reared up slightly and struck out at the other horse, though there was no possible way he could have reached him. To his ears it sounded like Loco was right in front of him. Wincing at King's terror, Anthony quickly opened, entered, and closed the stall door, leaving blood on the latch. He glanced quickly down at his hand to see that the blood had run down to his hand and was dripping slowly off his fingers. Great...he knew King would freak out at the scent of blood, meaning he would have to use his right hand to calm the horse. Normally that wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that his right arm was in fact, still broken.
With a quick motion he clipped the lead to King's halter, and threaded it through the rings over his muzzle. He tightened it quickly, which slightly restricted King's airways, forcing him to calm down in order to breathe easily. The thoroughbred knew this trick quite well, and didn't try to fight it. He knew Anthony, and Anthony knew him. They both knew it worked every time.

Loco was still high up when Anthony ducked into stall he lashed out with his forelegs and pinned his ears back flat against his head. He was pissed (excuse my French) and there wasn't anything that was going to stop him. He shrieked loudly and looked at the other horse with rage in his eyes. He then looked at Anthony who was bleeding and he almost looked pleased at his handy work though it was impossible.
Alex gripped the lead rope tight but trying to not send tension up the rope she remained calm as she balanced herself knowing that if she panicked he would continue his rampage. But when his reared it ripped through her fingers slightly and she grimaced in pain she still held on though but when Loco came down and jerked around it ripped all the way through her fingers tearing her skin causing an awful rope burn that burned like heck. She kept herself from screaming in pain but as you could imagine it hurt A LOT.
Noticing his sudden freedom Loco took off for the barn entrance and ran with the rope whipping in the wind behind him. Stumbling a bit from the jerk Alex looked up wide eyed and ran after him wiping away her hair from her face. She was embarrassed that she let him get away but wasn't going to just sit there ashamed she needed to catch him before he trampled someone or hurt himself. She didn't check to see if King or Anthony was OK right now her main concern was Loco. Her heart was pounding and she stopped in the yard and looked around still keeping her cool. She never really did have a temper and tried to take everything in stride. Now of course she was mad and a upset but she needed to focus on the task at hand. She looked around and saw him running toward the paddocks.

"Lord horse," Anthony said to King as he got the blind horse calmed down, "You're going to get someone killed one of these days, and when that happens, I'm going to be the one to get blamed." Now was one of those times when his patience was wearing thin. It had nothing to do with Loco or getting bitten, but just the fact that King seemed to have the perfect timing to ruin a conversation and did so quite regularly. "You're going to have to learn to at least pretend that you're not a nut case."
He unclipped the lead and stepped out of the stall. His broken arm was beginning to hurt like hell from using it too much. He still wasn't supposed to be using it at all for another three months at all, but he had never been one to follow doctor's orders...especially when he hadn't ever been in to see a doctor this time. Normally, he would have then gone to help Alex with catching Loco, but he had a feeling that his presence would only make things worse. So instead, he went to the tack room and took the first air kit out. Quickly wrapping the gash on his right arm from King's hooves earlier, and then moving on to the more recent injury from Loco's teeth. This one was a bit more serious than the other since it had been intentional, but still not much concern to him. He simply put a bit of disinfectant on it, and wrapped it with the white gauze bandage. That horse certainly knew how to get the most out of a single bite.
Anthony then returned to King's stall and wiped the blood off the latch of King's stall so that people wouldn't see it a start assuming things and then get rumors going around the stable. The last thing he needed was for people to go around assuming that King had attacked somebody...he had a bad enough reputation as it was, there was no need to go making it worse.

Alex took of for the paddocks worried for everyones saftery. She watched him gallop head strong straight for the fence and right on stride took the huge leap over the 6 foot fence. Her eyes widened in amazement she slowed her pace but kept going. Once she reached the pasture that he was in she leaned on the fence luckily there wasn't another horse in there or that could have been disaserous. She slipped through the rails quietly and stood watched the powerful creature slow himself to turn around. Her jaw dropped a little in aw of his beauty. How she wished she could be on him in that moment racing around the track. He ran straight for her at a pretty high speed but she stood still pressed up against the fence facing him. He slide to a stop with his face in hers breathing heavily and snorting.
With out letting a second go by she snatched up the lead rope and held him steady. She wasn't the least bit worried that he would run her over because he trusted her and no one else. She loved him. With out a pat or a stern no she un latched the gate and lead him out. He walked quietly beside her not throwing a fit of any sort. She knew he had way more Gusto in him but he was holding back. She couldn't wait to tap into that and run and light speed around a track.
She made it back up to the barn not much later and wipped her forehead and cleared away her curls. She looked down the hall and walked with him by her side to the end. She opened the stall and lead him in. Making him halt so she could check his legs for any injuries. Your lucky you didn't break anything in that jump mister. She shook her head in bewilderment. She knew better then to work him right now so she would wait till later that afternoon so he could catch his breath and so she didn't murderize him for acting the way he did. She unclipped him and slipped out of the stall. Glancing down the hall while she tied the rope to the hook to see if anthony was still there she hoped he was so she could appoligize for Loco's outburst on him.

King was still rather riled up from the outburst when Anthony returned to the stall, and was getting himself extremely worked up. He paced back and forth, tossing his big head, pawing at the floor, and pinning his ears at even the slightest sound. Some days, even the littlest thing would set him off and turn him into a complete grouch. This, was one of those days. It was getting near to four o' clock, which was when his next workout was, and the last thing Anthony needed was the horse wearing himself out before they even got to the track. So, he stepped inside the stall, and clipped the lead on him. There was nothing wrong with an early start.
He lead the blind horse out of the stall and to the cross-ties, making sure to clip the ties tight enough so that the horse couldn't move much. It was a needed precaution, a blind horse could be dangerous if he was left free to move about. With quick accuracy he lifted the light weight exercise saddle onto the horse's back, and tightened the cinch before the horse could blow himself up to keep the saddle from getting tight. King had a lost of tricks up his sleeve, most of which Anthony knew by now, and this was the most common of them, so he had forced himself to tighten it faster than the horse could blow up.
He then moved to his head and slipped the bit between his teeth with little fight. King had become so used to people messing with his head as doctors tried to figure out why he was blind that he never fought Anthony when he bridled him. After unclipping the cross-ties, he started King out towards the track. As the two of them headed down the aisle, he noticed Loco and Alex returning. So she'd caught him, and apparently without too much incident. The horse looked alright, a bit worked up, but not hurt. His attention was diverted back to King as the horse shied at another invisible enemy. Today was not a good day. Normally King was pretty calm when Anthony was leading him, but apparently he was worked up enough now that he was going to be a big pain in the neck.
"What is with you today?" he mumbled under his breath as they continued onwards. Moments after he finished that question, King stopped and stood dead still in the aisle of the barn, as if some menacing threat was coming towards him. "You're lucky I don't just abandon you and go find someone with fewer problems." He said, shaking his head, and giving the lead a jerk to get him going again. King followed, seeming to forget all about whatever had caused him to stop earlier. Life with a blind racehorse...it never ceased to be interesting.

Alex spotted him heading down the aisle left Loco to himself. The horse needed to chill for the rest of the night course she wasn't going to let him get away with that behavior but she didn't want to exhaust him so he would get his tomorrow morning. She walked slowely down the aisle as King stopped. She smiled swipped her hair out of her face. She didn't want to startle the horse so she tried to make noise so he knew she was there but without it being to loud so he spooked. She had already caused them enough trouble and didn't want to ruin there workout.
She cleared her throat not to grab attention but just because she needed to. And pulled up next to Anthony. She wanted to appologize. Plus she figured after everything he probably wanted to work alone without her watching. "Sorry for all the trouble we've caused. She smiled sheepishly. Loco was a pain but she still loved him even when he caused others pain or trouble. But in this case he had gone to far. Almost like he planned the whole thing.
She figured he would forgive her but she had only just met him and already ruined his day. It was a bad day but she promised herself she wouldn't let that ruin tomorrow. She hoped they could at least be friends and help each other out with their horses. But if not it wasn't going to crush her or hurt her feelings or whatever sometimes things just didn't work out the way you planned.
OOC; so should they like start dating? haha i know its like way out there but i'm just trying to grasp if she should be just friends or more idk....
