Within Waves

Mermaids have always been a hot topic within human legends and myths. They're everywhere from Peter Pan to The Odyssey as sirens. It makes some people wonder where these mythical creatures came to someone mind. The funny thing is, they never came to a person's mind. They have always existed, hidden away within the waves of the dead blue sea

Here within Cormorant Bay humans live the normal ocean side life within the growing town. There is always something to entertain you here within this sweet town. Window shop down main street, or lay upon the soft white sands of Cormorant's beaches, and of course, catch a boat out to sea for a relaxing ride. Things seem peaceful for the humans.

A few years back, the small Marlin Fishing Club had made a startling discovery during one trip out to sea. A young maiden was stranded within their long nets. The maiden turned to be the creature children and adults swooned over, a mermaid. The maiden escaped the grasp of the photo optic humans to flee back to the depths where she belonged. This small encounter shifted the thoughts of the fishers to hunters.

With the growing humans within Cormorant Bay and the rising number of hunters coming after the hidden species, how will the mermaids stay hidden from the world. Only time will tell if they will survive these rough times or if they will turn into the next big exhibit at the aquarium.
