'Lets waste time chasing cars
Hello, my name is [Shane]. I have hugged [18] horses. I would like to board my horse here please, here at Pinewood Stables.
My horses registered name is [Rubik's Cube] .
I just call him [Rubik] .
Here is [Rubik]'s information.
* Breed of horse: mustang
* Age of horse: 3
* Height of horse: 15 hh
* Gender of horse: gelding
* Markings/coloring: caramel bay & star
* Discipline: n/a
& Personality: Being a mustang, and a young one at that, Rubik certainly has his moments where he is anything but the model horse and has been known to cause quite the ruckus around the stables on a regular basis. He is most happy when he is out in the pasture without restraints, but due to his wild nature, he has to spend most of his time in the stall to avoid him escaping when no one is around. He is definitely attached to Shane, and although he can certainly be controlled by anyone with a good understanding of horses, he is best behaved when it is Shane handling him. He's not a very large horse, and in no way pushy or mean to the other horses, and is perfectly safe to be pastured with other animals. He can get a little territorial and possessive because of his instinct to be that way, but he is never overly aggressive.
History: "Born free, as free as the wind blows" is certainly the very definition of how Rubik's life started out. He was born a wild mustang on federal reserve ground, and therefore government protected. His life, as was for all mustangs, was a hard one. Little to no food in the winter, always running the risk of being caught by a predator, and facing all sorts of wind and weather. Not much is known about Rubik except that when he was rounded up as a two year old, he was as wild and unwilling to e touched by a human as any wild horse would be. Because of that, he was nearly impossible to auction off. He would throw such tantrums in the corrals at the auctions that no one wanted to buy him, and he spent the majority of his second year of life in a holding yard.
Just after he turned three, Shane discovered him, and for whatever reason, decided the mustang was the horse for him. It took a while to convince his parents, but when he finally played the "you sold my last horse... he wasn't just a horse, he was my only friend" card, they gave in, and shortly after, the trailer containing the riled up mustang pulled into Rebecca Farm's driveway, and out came the little horse with a big bang. For the first month, Rubik was just as unmanageable as he was at the stock yards. The stable staff dreaded trying to do anything with him. About halfway through the second month, he started to mellow out a little bit, and started letting Shane get closer to him. By the third month, Shane had him eating out of his hand. By the fourth he was willing to obey the pull of a lead rope. By the fifth month he was letting Shane get up on his back, and by the sixth month, he had learned Shane's improvised hand signals for what normally would have been words with "normal" people, and could be moved about with just the aid of leg pressure. He still has a long way to come yet, but with the amount of progress he's made in 6 months, he'll be the model citizen horse in no time at all.
My horse would make a fine boarder in Pinewood Stables,
--Shane Martin.
