It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and...it was freaking cold. The small boy wrapped his coat more firmly around himself as he ran. Not even the burning ache in his legs or the fire that scorched his throat could keep him from shivering. His breath came in short, foggy gasps and small beads of sweat rolled down his cheeks; his cue to stop. He threw his arms over his head and walked to cool off. It wouldn't do to get hypothermia now would it? Kaylev let out a quiet chuckle. Even though it was a very cold winter day he still ran. Crazy right? Maybe, but it made him feel alive. That was incentive enough to ignore the looks he got. Besides, its not like people didn't already stare at him for his clothes anyways. Looking down he shook his head ans rolled his eyes. It was way to hard to find decent clothes, pants especially, in his size. Like now, he wore a pair of Grey sweat pants that hung low on his hips because they were almost two sizes to big and a green and black stripped sweat shirt that looked like an extra, extra large on him. Sometimes he hated the stares, like he didn't care about his looks...not that he really did, but anyway, its not like it was his fault he was so small. Being malnourished and all that jazz tends to stunt ones growth quiet a bit. Of course, people didn't know that about him so he couldn't really blame them, not that it really did bother him, right? Whatever. A small smile played at the corner of his lips as he sat down on long wooden park bench. He didn't care if it was slightly damp from the snow or that the wind seemed that much colder now that he wasn't moving, he just wanted to sit for a while. The park was pretty empty and even though he liked to have some company most of the time he found the unusual silence kind of comforting.

You're all alone Running out of ways to
x...It was rough; going from a well respected man in one place- a bit of a legend even-to this. a nobody in a town where you had to be somebody. It was hard to fall into a place where you had to land with your feet. And unfortunately; that was exactly what Ashleigh Blaze Solorre did only a few days before. Oh he'd done it before- but never so drasticly, and even then he'd had his brother to help him cope. This was the first time that he would really have to fend for himself- and already he was completely exausted. The boy wearily walked down the path, his normally lively brown eyes rather bleary from lack of sleep and a half awake look on his face. He wasn't sure what had struck him to go walking, he'd never been much of a walker, but something had made him do it, and after thirty minutes of walking he'd found himself here. At a park of all places. Casting a gaze over the almost deserted place, he didn't think much before making his way over to one of the benches and sitting down. Every day that he'd been here so far, he'd kept himself busy. Settling his fiery colt into his new home, looking for some sort of work, trying to figure out a way to afford a place to live. So far he'd been sleeping in the tiny room of his trailer, but that was beginning to wear on him. It was only just now that he really stopped, and really only just now that the doubts began to lick at his mind. Why was he here anyways? To prove that himself that he wasn't just a burden. To show everyone he could get along by himself. Yes. But why here, why so far away from home? Why did he have to start over this new? He leaned his head back to look at the fridged blue sky. And why somewhere so cold? He shivered slightly, drawing his shirt closer to himself. All that he had were these rather thin longsleeve shirts, no hoodies or jackets, no hat except for his grey stetson. But atleast he wasn't hungry. Atleast he had his trailer to stay in. Atleast. Be grateful. The boy's thoughts drifted into the abys and he looked around again, this time with a bit clearer of a mind. Sky, mulch, grass fleked with snow- and there, on a bench opposite of him- sat a young man probably a few years younger than him, scrawny and clothed in what looked to be two times to big for him. Blaze looked at him for a moment, trying to decide whether or not to test his luck and greet this boy. So far everyone he'd met was rather...cold. Just like this weather. But still- he had to find his place here sooner or later. He inhaled then plastering a smile to his face- he tipped his head to the young man. "Mornin' he called in a meek voice, much unlike his usual surely tone; and just hoped for the best. Hold on to hope And it always slips away
NOTE:well its not much good but I didn't have a lot to go on xD I'm used to a bit longer of posts to reply to.

Kaylev's head shot up and he stared at the man with wide eyes. Was he talking to him? Oh, what to do? Um, maybe if he's ignored he will go away? No, thats rude. Kaylev's gaze fluttered around nervously. When all other ideas run out go the cute route and hope for the best! So he attempted a small and so adorably shy smile but he wasn't used to being put on the spot which is how he felt since there was no one else around to take some of weight. A pink tongue darted out to wet suddenly dry lips and his right leg started to shake lightly, staving off some of the extra adrenaline. He couldn't stand how nervous he got sometimes. Mostly he shrugged it off and went with the flow, so to speak, but right now was a time that he hated it. It really didn't make sense to him. His therapists said it was normal for someone with his past to be uneasy around other people, especially males, but it was ridiculous! He could understand the fear of sudden movements and small spaces. He could understand his tendency to be over protective about his food and couldn't blame himself when he tried to rip the hand off of who ever tried to take something from his plate. He could not, however, understand the fear of people who didn't even look anywhere near similar to his father. It was just plain stupid. Yet, here he was cowering on a park bench and trying to think of an escape plan from one person at least six feet away. Slowly, as if afraid to provoke the man, Kaylev brought his legs up on to the bench and wrapped his arms around them locking them in place. He was the human ball and somehow he felt just a bit better about the current situation now that he had some weird, mostly mental, form of protection. Just as slowly as he moved his legs he slid his startling green eyes back to the man. "Uh," He cleared his throat nervously and averted his eyes to his suddenly very interesting knees. "Um, H...hi." He stuttered lamely. Ever so articulate. He applauded himself for his stupidity. Congratulations, you're an idiot.

He shouldn't really of ever expected anything in life to be easy. There was no reason on earth for fate to be kind to him; and he knew it. He'd always just been the average lonesome one, from birth until now. No friends- but only because he'd never gone out of his way to make one, and now no one to call family either. With his father's death less than three years ago, and having never even known his mother- he was truely alone now. Just a cowboy from Arizona with no clue what to do.
You know, everyone no matter who they are or what they've been through- how they grew up or how they act, has at some point and time felt out of place and rejected. Blaze had known this to be true for as long as he could remember. First the rejection of the other kids around him, then slowly his brothers- and later in life at the ranch outside of Pheonix where he took shelter. It hadn't been so bad there though, for he had slowly been able to gain the trust, and then even the respect of the other hands working alongside him. His ability to work with animals won him a right to be alive. And it had been good.
Why he had ever left the shelter and friendship of his home, no one ever really understood. Blaze wasn't even sure that he understood. It was just something that he had done- and something that he would have to stick with to the end. He couldn't turn back now even if he wanted to.
With the slightest of frowns Blaze watched the other male from behind glassy blue-green eyes- the second of two things that he had been told- were like his mother's. The one thing that differed him from the other boys of his family. What proved strikingly that he was not a full blooded native. The boy across from his was in a most obvious display- rather afraid. For what reason, it was unknown, but Blaze felt a twang of sympathy for him. He knew fear.
The boy watched him with wide, terrorized eyes for a moment- and Blaze was content to wait. He dropped his own gaze in hopes of seeming less intimidating and took to studying the dry, snow covered grass before him. He did not look up again until he heard the boy speak. "Uh," his voice was as timid as his looks; nervouse. Blaze glanced up slowly to see that the boy had taken to sitting in a curled up position. The same position that Blaze had found himself in countless times not so long ago. "Um, H...hi." The Arizona cowboy allowed himself to form a small smile at the boy before nodding slightly in greeting in hopes of not overweilming him. After this he was silent for a while, unsure of what to do.
Instead of getting warmer, the day seemed to be getting colder by the minute. Curse Virginia and its's weather. Blaze shivered slightly. "Is it always this cold here?[/b]
took a while. not used to small posts x] sorry
