It was a beautiful day at pinewood stables even if it was fall. It was one of those days to let the horses run around in the pasture and the perfect day to sit and watch. That how ever never seemed to be the case, someone always had to prove a challenge even though she knew each horse had a better side then they sometimes showed. The stable its self was peaceful for the most part and few horses remained inside but most had been brought out to enjoy the day, Alia walked down the aisle three lead ropes hung loosely over her arm as she hummed softly to herself, she had just gotten off her flight only an hour ago, her job had taken her all around the world and then some and now she just wanted to surround herself with her horses and relax. The first horse was her mare she never had to worry about her unless there was a pail near by. The bay mare was a sight to see in that simply kind of way, her coat was always shinny and her mane and tail looked like a midnight sky.
Hello girl Alia spoke as she clipped the lead onto the mares purple halter. She led the mare out patting her neck, has she felt the suns warm ray upon her skin. Manhattan kept her head leveled has they made there way towards the pasture. She stopped and Manhattan also stopped squaring herself as she waited for her owner to open the gate, Both woman and horse slipped into the pasture. Undoing the buckle she slipped the halter off the mares nose, instead of the horse taking off she trotted elegantly away from her owner and looked at her. Alia shook her head and walked out of the pasture shutting the gate behind her. Next horse was im so into myself my owner can sometimes hardly stand me.
Making her way back to the stable she looked in the stall that held Whisper, he was all the way in the back, ears somewhat flat against his head, so the choice has been made that we are not going to behave today. Shaking her had she opened the stall door made quick work of clipping the lead rope and began the impossible task of getting him to the pasture. Giving a gentle tug she tried to get him to leave his stall but he only budged at most a step, come on boy its nice outside and what about all those mares who you could show off to? The dark bays ears pricked forward, nearly leaping out of the stall and pulling her down the aisle Whisper wanted to get outside like there was no tomorrow well that worked. Pulling back gentle she slowed him just enough to get him to the pasture safely.
The last horse was another stallion, whom she just got in. he was a chestnut stud who looked like copper, when he was clean. Running her hand down his muscled neck she clipped the lead and led him out, into the aisle. She had not really gotten the chance to ride him yet, seeing her busy schedule kept her from seeing her horses sometimes. Just then her phone rang she answered it, hello? Yes that’s fine, Friday at eleven ok got it. Clicking the phone off she stuck it in her pocket and proceeded to forget the conversation for now and focus on her horse, walking him out to the pasture he was the only one who took off when released from his halter. Sitting on the fence she watched the stallion race around the pasture enjoying his freedom, he trotted over and rested his head upon her lap, goofy boy you are suppose to be having fun. She smiled and stroked his face enjoying the day even more.

Simon Foxx took a deep breath, feeling the light autumn breeze on his face and bare arms. It was another beautiful day at Pinewood Stables, and he intended to spend it's entirety around the horses. The sun was high in the sky, warming everything it touched. The brightness of it made him squint, and he wished for sunglasses under his breath. These were the days that he could get used to; warm, happy days that in no way reminded him of life in England, where it was overcast and dark most of the time. These were the days that made his move from his homeland seem worth it.
That morning Simon had walked to the stables, just for the sake of enjoying the weather, though he had to admit that he was avoiding driving. It had taken several driver's tests before he could get his American license; getting used to driving on the opposite side of the road had been more difficult than he anticipated. He had bought himself a worn old truck that had probably seen better days, but walking still seemed like the better option.
As soon as he entered the stable, he felt the temperature drop. The sun was probably the only thing keeping the outside warm so late in the season. He had seen almost all of the horses outside, which made him feel guilty for not coming to take his horse out sooner. Radio Flyer would probably be pacing the stall by now. Simon was never in the mood to mess with an angry mare.
When he reached Radio's stall, the tall Thoroughbred mare nickered, pawing at the door with one hoof. A rare smile stretched across Simon's face, and he reached up to stroke her nose. Radio was a beautiful mare; dappled grey (or as he liked to think of it, silver), with a shiny pewter mane and tail. She hadn't always been so beautiful. He could remember how thin and dirty she was at the auction where he first laid eyes on her. With a lot of grain and patience, she filled out and learned to trust him.
"Sorry I'm late girl," he kept his voice at a low whisper, "I brought you a treat. Maybe you'll forgive me." From his pocket he produced two mints, which the mare eagerly snatched from his hand. He chuckled to himself knowingly before picking up the halter hanging outside of her stall. It took less than a minute to buckle it in place and snap on the lead rope. As soon as he opened the stall door, Radio pushed her way out, brushing Simon aside and leading him down the barn aisle. That was the way that she worked. When Simon was riding, he was in control. On the ground however, the mare was the boss of everyone and everything. He knew that it wasn't good to let her be in charge, but in his mind it only seemed fair. She willingly jumped over obstacles for him, no questions asked. He felt obligated to give her some sort of "say" in their relationship.
Once they were outside, Simon felt his skin warm up again. Radio pranced alongside him, visibly excited to be outside. She was just like him in so many ways. Both horse and man hated the indoors and much preferred the outdoors any day. Radio was the leader, dragging her owner toward her pasture.
"Okay darling, I'll let you go." He opened the gate, leading her inside and unbuckling her halter, "Now go!" His English accent rang across the pasture, and as if on command, Radio took off at a full-speed gallop across the field. He laughed to himself, shaking his head. He knew his horse so well.
Once the gate was closed behind him, he hung the halter on the fence. Turning around, he froze up completely. There was a girl, a beautiful girl at that, sitting on the fence of the adjoining pasture. She was watching the horses in the pasture playing together. He hadn't even seen her when he was letting Radio loose. Simon leaned against the fence.
"Hello," He managed to say. Even to him, it sounded cold. Who would care? He wasn't a people person by any means, and what this girl thought of him shouldn't really matter. But the cold way he had said it was bothering him. He sounded like his father; easily the darkest man he knew, and a man he didn't want to be. Swallowing his pride, he stuttered out a new greeting, "Lovely day, isn't it?"

She continued to stroke Swags face and then she looked at him, all right boy go have some fun. She laughed and then gave him a push, he pushed back almost knocking her off the fence. She laughed, he snorted and cantered to the other side. She watched as he trotted up and down the fence line showing off. His coat was catching the suns warm rays causing his coat to look lighter then it really was. Alia sighed and looked around not really seeing any one here, which was quite all right with her seeing she really did not feel like talking to any one right now. She was more unless tired but she did not feel like going home yet. She yawned closing her eyes she caught the sound of hooves coming towards the opposite pasture. Opening her eyes she saw the weirdest thing.
At first she thought she was seeing things but, she quickly noted she was not. The horse was leading the guy to the pasture and he was allowing it but it was cute. She smiled as he let the horse go calling her darling, then she noted her own horse running full out towards him. He reached the edge of the pasture, his ears flattened against his head, pawing he snorted and allowed himself to go into a rear. Alia whistled and Swag came over ears still flattened, Im sorry about that he’s a tad protective, yes it is a lovely day oh im Alia and this is Swag. She smiled and looked at him before jumping into the pasture and walking over to the corner, Swag still behind her, So who might you be and what Is this beautiful mares name?
Hearing the sounds of hoof beats behind her, she turned around to see dark horse coming toward her, she smiled and watched as he slowed to a trot and then a walk. What’s wrong pretty boy? Are the Mares not being very nice today? She smiled again and turned to face the guy on the other side, I guess I forgot to mention the other two horses I have this is Whisper and the mare over there is Manhattan. Whispers head hung over her shoulder trying to get a look at what was going on the other side. When neither got very far they moved on to better things. Alia just rolled her eyes and sat back on the fence. Sometimes they are just a pain but I guess that’s what makes them loveable. Sorry I talk a lot but it just happens when you barely have time to have a social life. She smiled and shook her head it was true, all she saw was the inside of cars, planes and so forth. The only people she talked to were the designers or other models who were with her but that got boring most the time. She sighed and realized she still had the halter in her hand, she reached over and hung it on the fence post before sitting up and stretching. Alright she had to stand she had only been on a plane an hour ago and she was still a little stiff. Sighing and stretching again she looked at him and waited.
NoTeS: This sucks sorry, I have also had a bit of a crazy start to my week lol!

Simon watched, awe as a stunning chestnut stallion in the opposite pasture charged toward him. He was a gorgeous horse, even if he looked ready to kill. The stud stopped at the fenceline, his ears pinned back, pawing at the ground and tossing his head like a war horse. Simon wasn't the least bit intimidated by the show of testosterone. Over the years he had dealt with the meanest of the mean horses, even though he still refused to call any horse "mean". A word like that didn't seem suiting to an animal as amazing as a horse. The stallion reared up, pawing at the air, before a shrill whistle pierced the air. As if on cue, the copper-colored stud trotted over to his owner, though his ears were still flat back. She had him wrapped around her little finger.
I'm sorry about that; he’s a tad protective. Yes, it is a lovely day. Oh, I'm Alia and this is Swag. Simon's attention turned from "Swag", to his beautiful owner. She looked like some sort of movie star, or at least the kind of person that you would find in a shampoo ad. Alia. He had never heard that name before, but it was nearly as pretty as she was. He found himself feeling awkward again; what was he doing talking to a gorgeous girl with a gorgeous stallion? He was absolutely out of place. She smiled at him and jumped off of the fence, moving closer, "So who might you be and what is this beautiful mare's name?"
Radio was on the other side of the pasture? How could this girl possibly see her from here? "Huh, wha-" Before the words got out of his mouth, he felt hot breath at the back of his neck. Simon turned to see Radio standing behind him, her head hanging over the gate. How had she managed to sneak up behind him? He quickly turned back to Alia, "My name is Simon Foxx, and this stunning lady is Radio Flyer" His thick English accent could've been cut with a knife. He felt his face growing red; he always felt like the foreigner.
Two more horses appeared behind Alia; both beautiful mares. They looked curiously at Radio and Simon, I guess I forgot to mention the other two horses I have this is Whisper and the mare over there is Manhattan. Sometimes they are just a pain but I guess that’s what makes them loveable." Her words almost made him smile. It was so true. Radio was a royal pain, but that was why he loved her. The reason he had purchased her in the first place was because of her fight and spirit.
"You speak the truth, Ms. Alia." Simon had the terrible habit of adding "Ms." or "Mr." to names, especially when he was nervous. And boy, was he nervous. She could probably see it etched all over his face. "Sorry I talk a lot but it just happens when you barely have time to have a social life." No social life? Was she serious? A poster-perfect girl with no social life? How was that even possible? She had to have guys fighting for her, and parties to go to every night. Wasn't that what beautiful American people did? Maybe not. "You don't talk a lot," he frowned, "Er, well, I mean," His mind blanked, and he was panicking inside. What to say?
"I'd like to hear more about your horses. They're stunning." There. Horses. Back to a subject he was completely comfortable with.

Alia grabbed the purple halter deciding that she was going to take Manhattan on a trail ride after all it was a beautiful day. When she reached the mares gate she was already there waiting, she was the type of horse to be there first to greet you, just like she was always ready to work. Sliding the purple halter over her nose and securing it she opened the gate and the mare walked out, she tied her up on the outside of the boys pasture. She smiled as he spoke his name and that of his horse, well its very nice to meet you Simon and you horse is truly beautiful. She did not ask him about his accent but it was quite charming she felt as though asking him might make him un comfortable. Alia checked the mares hooves and then turned to Simon I will be right back. Walking back into the stable she grabbed Manhattans saddle, bridle and black saddle pad then she walked back to Manhattan putting everything on the fence.
She laughed well that’s a first but thank you. My horses I don’t know what to really say lets see, she put the saddle pad on Manhattans back and then rested the saddle upon her back before speaking, well they all do Eventing even though Whisper is stronger in dressage, Manhattan here is the curious one and will find her own means to entertain herself, Whisper is all into himself but a good boy non the less the worse he dishes out is not moving and Swag is a tad protective but you could stick a beginner on him. She smiled and slipped the bridle over Manhattans face, Checking the saddle was snug she hopped up and looked down at Simon, Would you like to join? She was just going to go on a nice trail ride, nothing more.
Manhattan pawed the ground and Alia touched her sides gently and she took off at a walk, she walked her around in circle, she could tell Manhattan was a tad hot so she patted her neck and cooed softly at her, easy girl we will get moving soon enough. She smiled as the mare settled a little underneath her, Alia stopped her and looked at Simon, come on its not going to do you any harm and besides im not planning on racing you or anything all though I might go fast. She laughed and nudged Manhattans side again and started walking away from Simon, stopping at the entrance of the trial but then she turned around trotting Manhattan back, which allowed her to relax even more. Reaching Simon She stopped Manhattan and looked down at him, simply waiting for an answer.
Notes: Sorry it took so long things have gotten a bit crazy! lol
