Bai is taller than some other girls at five foot seven. Her legs are long and lanky, but at the same they are toned from years of riding horses. She can sometimes be called too skinny, but it is almost impossible for her gain weight. She can eat anything and stay fit. Her arms are like her legs, small but strong, and her hands are long and delicate, perfect for playing the piano.
Her eyes and hair are both a caramel brown in color. There is always a hint of sadness in her face from either the loss of her mother or from her ex-boyfriend. She has high cheekbones and full lips, her upper one more full than her lower one giving her an unconventional beauty. Her eyes are long and almond shaped, always outlined in blue or black eyeliner. Her hair is normally worn down, falling well past her shoulders, but if she is doing anything physical it is swept back into a ponytail or a messy bun.
On any normal day Bai changes at least twice. Once from her riding clothes and once into something comfortable for later that night. Her riding clothes are simple tan breeches and some kind of polo shirt with tall black boots. Her during the day clothes are normally jeans and some sort of t-shirt, and sometimes she wears fancier shirts. Then, at night she degrades to sweat pants and a loose shirt with slippers. Not the most form flattering, but comfy.
This Is What Makes Me Stand Out Her eyes and hair are almost the same color.

Bailey has evolved in character over the years starting from when she was tiny. When she was small her goal in life was to be like her sister. She would dress up in her clothes, put on her make-up and walk around in her shoes. She tried to hang around her sister as much as she could, but with the five year gap that never happened. This was where she learned her sense of independence. She learned that being a follower was no good, and that being her own self was better. From then on she was one in a million.
Then as life wore on Bailey discovered her musical talent. This took her places, places of maturity that others of her age would never get to, and made her responsible. Even though she was the youngest she was more adult like than her brother who was her nine year senior. She liked reading to dolls and playing the piano over playing with friends. It was not that she had no friends. It was just that she liked reading, and as she soon found out, horses, better.
Then everything came crashing down around her when she met Kevin. He was king and loving, and in the end abusive. All her talents and dreams and hopes and that spark that lit her eyes went behind a curtain. They were hidden behind a veil of fear. Fear of tomorrow. She was then shy and self critical. She berated herself for every mistake and soon was a little bit bitter. That is why she is here now, looking for that inner sense of self again. She is looking to become that loyal, trusting, happy, talented, and smart girl she once was again.

I Come From
Pine Level, NC
But I Live Here Now Not Sure Yet
This Is Who I was
Bailey Anne Jenssen was born on January 27, 1989 in the small town of Pine Level, NC. The quaint little town welcomed their new addition with open arms and loving hearts. The small girl with the huge brown eyes had everyone eating out of her hand from the moment she arrived home for the first time. In the Jenssen family there were already two other children. The eldest was a boy by the name of Jake was the rowdy one, romping about the yard playing soldier and terrorizing his sisters. The second was a girl named Lilly and she was the outgoing one who everyone wanted and who everyone strived to befriend, and as tiny Bailey grew older she was known as the sweet, quiet one.
Then, only two years into little Bai's existance, her mother left. It was a scandal, the mother of three and the wife in a content marriage leaving. But more than scandal was heartbreak. Life in the Jenssen home was no longer light and happy. It was darker and stricter and more sheltered. Jake was no longer the one that went out and played. He was the one who concentrated on school. Lilly was no longer so outgoing, staying more to herself. The only one not affected was Bai, and even she knew something was wrong.
Eventually, life got back to a more normal state, and when Bailey finally entered high school her siblings were back to being themselves. Lilly had been the girl that others envied, the blonde haired blue eyed beauty. Jake had been the valedictorian and the star of the baseball team. Naturally, Bailey was expected to live up to their standards, but she knew she never would. Then something happened that boosted her up to her family's expectations.
The high school football captain had taken an interest in her, and soon the two were the most talked about couple in school, and in the town. They were perfect, everyone said. Both popular, both nice, both good looking. To top that they were sweet to watch. Soon the relationship got to be too much for Bai though, and she wanted out. It had been a year and that was enough for her. Kevin, her boyfriend had other ideas.
When she went to break it off he said that he loved her, that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. When she said that was not what she wanted he told her she had to deal with it. When she tried to run he grabbed her and said what he was going to do was for her own good. When she tried to scream he just hit her harder. For another year she was silent about her situation, afraid that he would kill her. In public they were like any other time, but privately it was a different story. He hit her on her back, on her upper arms, and on her stomach so no one would see the bruises. He was smart, but it was in the middle of this beating ritual that they were discovered.
Kevin was sent to jail and Bai was saved from a terrible fate. She was not the same after that, her self esteem shattered. She hated talking to new people and men made her flinch. She shied away from physical contact, even from her family. When it was at the point that she would not hug her own father her family decided it was time for her to start over. She had always been a good rider and had always wanted a horse of her own, so when they discovered Pinewood they decided that was the place she would go. They bought her a house and a horse and moved her in, and after tense farewells they left her on her own.
This Is Who I am When life throws a curve ball, Bai gets out of the way.

I Am Awesome Taking a morning ride was not lady-like.
Taking a morning ride in men’s breeches was even worse.
Taking a morning ride in breeches and riding astride instead of sidesaddle was positively scandalous.
And frankly, Andria Hurst could care less. It was how she started every day.
At first the rides had been about attention, daring her father to call her out. She figured the silence could only last so long and that this was a good way to get him to break that silence, but even as she walked past his office door every morning all she got was a disapproving glare and silence, cold and unwavering.
Then came Edith, the new Marchioness of Ravencrest, who refused to shut her mouth. Constant lectures about the propriety, elegance, and the improper behavior of young women spouted from the old woman’s mouth and then went in one of Andria’s ears and out the other. There was no way in the world that she was going to listen to someone who thought she was her new mother, especially not Edith.
So now she went out early, most of the time before the sun began to rise, and made her way down to the stables. This was her escape from both silence and sound and it was a convenient way to defy her step-mother.
The barn was a big stone building built to match the house to perfection. Creeping ivy covered most of the front of the barn while small hedges created a sort of privacy fence to separate it from the rest of the estate. This was a familiar sight, and now with the fall colors spotting the trees along the drive from the house to the stables it was beautiful.
Reaching the big double doors she entered quietly. She was immediately enveloped in the crisp, clean scent of leather and the sweet clingy smell of fresh hay. There were soft murmurs from the stable hands that were on duty at this time in the morning and there was shuffling from the horses that filled the stalls. Stepping softly, not wanting to ruin the serenity of the moment, Andria walked to the farthest stall from where she had entered.
Peering over the half-door her eyes fell upon a small grey mare. The horse, upon seeing Andria, made her way over to the girl.
“Good morning Bojo,” Andria said quietly, stretching her hand out to stroke the horse’s nose.
The name Bojo seemed strange to many. It was what Andria had named the horse when she had been five years old. It was a pet name from her childhood. She had named everything she owned Bojo from her teddy bear to her favorite doll, so it figured that when she got her own horse that it was to be named the same. It also brought back some of the few good memories that she still held. There was a flash of her father smiling at her and brief glimpses of her mother telling her stories as a small girl. To Andria this name meant happiness and the horse that stood before her still managed to bring her that.
“Want to go for a ride?”
And in no time the duo was headed out to a secluded meadow at the back of Hyde Park.
