There isn't much in this world that impresses Phoenix Zima, and it's usually quite difficult to figure out what those few things that actually do are. First and foremost is horses. Anyone that rides a friesian instantly impresses her... a little. Anyone who rides well impresses her a little more. A tall man, no shorter than 5'11", generally dark, clean shaven, and up kept is her preference as far as male's go.
However, there has yet to be a man who would impress her enough to stay with her. I wouldn't go so far as to say she's girly, she's just very picky... and on top of that she doesn't want to let anyone in to her life because she's afraid of being abandoned again... but shhh you didn't hear that from me. Any man who wanted to have a chance at winning her heart would have to be one hell of a guy, and he'd have to be willing to put up with someone who would most likely come off as uncaring towards him in public. After all, she's quite proud of her reputation as a "heinous bitch" and she's like to keep that up.
Anyway... on to the plotting.
Recently, she was in a bad riding accident in a cross-country meet when her horse attempted to avoid running over a stray child and ended up jumping too soon, causing him to hit the jump with hist chest and topple over it. Phoenix was unhurt, but the horse was in tough shape. Unable to afford the surgery to fix the horse, Phoenix opted for euthanasia. Unfortunately, she couldn't bring herself to sign the paper and so, asked the only person she trusted, who was rather like an older brother to her... Parker Townsend... to do it for her. He promised her he would take care of it and left. Only thing was, he didn't have the horse put down, but paid off the vet bill and had the horse fixed up for her and surprised her with him a few weeks later when the horse was brought back to the stable.
So... Phoenix hasn't been jumping anything big lately, and has been staying away from cross country because she's too afraid of getting her horse hurt again. Now I was thinking maybe she goes out on a trail ride and attempts to jump her other horse over a log of sorts, but because she's all nervous, the horse is nervous, and instead of going over the log, he stops and sends her over his head, then takes off for home without her. Anyway... walking back, I was thinking something could happen... maybe a big storm rolls in and she gets caught in it and sort of gets herself a bit lost.
I'm sure you know where I'm going from here... but she needs a hero. Like maybe someone sees her horse come running back to the stable without a rider from the trail as the storm hits and goes out to find the rider, and eventually finds her. Of course Phoenix probably wouldn't outwardly show any gratitude to him initially because it's just not in her nature, but maybe she starts eventually getting along with him or something like that. (keep in mind that "getting along" for Phoenix isn't the typical "getting along" that people generally think of).
And that's about the extent of how far the sugar high from the ice cream got me... so if you like that idea, or have any other ideas, or anything to add/change... please say so! Phe Phe needs plots.
Also keep in mind that Phoenix is extremely picky about who she affiliates with, so unless someone fits her standard, odds are they wouldn't be the right guy for the job. Think tall, dark, handsome, clean cut, well dressed, not dirty... and not afraid to take a roll on the hay with the devil herself.
