obsessive compulsive? perhaps, the truth is madison is very concerned with how she looks. not that the teenager really cares what others think of her, though its the way she views herself that makes or breaks the day. as a young chubby girl she made one promise to herself, to always be in control of how she looked... always. to this day the small and unfortunately short madison maintains a very slim figure. petite in every way she was meant to be short much to her dismay, small figure towers but 5ft3 inches tall. long hair often changes shades though at the moment reflects her natural tone, deep brunette of course. long and naturally wavy, its a thick unmanageable burden though when tamed it works like a western pleasure horse smooth and eye catching.
behind the thick often unruly bangs peer her piercing eyes, they can hold the coldest of glares in their deep shade of emerald, often mixed with brown truthfully they are an earthy hazel. large though framed with stubby lashes, she never leaves the house without mascara. makeup isn't something she puts on daily, she was blessed with smooth skin. in the center of her small round face is the petite nose which is slightly crooked from a riding accident yes, a flaw of course though not overly noticeable. her small lips a a natural pink shade and proportioned for her body and face, small they tend to crack easily and along with mascara she caries blistex.
madison's small frame is athletic, not anorexic though perhaps slightly delicate looking she always wished her naturally paler legs were longer and bronzed. moving down to her feet which like the rest of her are indeed small, she wears a size five womens shoe, which is often hard to find in anything pretty. shopping is a necessary evil in the young ladies life, yes she likes to try clothes on a spend her hard earned money though she is very particular about what she wears and how it makes her look. though her wardrobe is mainly jeans and shirts of some sort she is in the simplest essence of the word a tomboy. not afraid to get dirty, not worried about what others thing of her she has a small bit of country in her. madison does know how to look nice, though doesn't dress like a fancy uptown girl unless the occasion is special.
This Is What Makes Me Stand Out
Well its hard not to notice how short madison is, though small bone structure makes the propotion realistic. Her face is lite up with the most wonderful smile, braces for a few years certainly helped that. Her eyes are large and an earthy hazel, but can warm a cold room. The things madison notices the most would certainly be her Physical Flaws: her crooked nose [it was broken riding at a young age], she is certain her ears are off angle hence the lack of piercings and secretly hates her legs.

concentration is her greatest talent though fiercest foe. with the ability to worry about one thing for so long, she often forgets the bigger picture... perhaps what really matters. a bit of a drama queen, yes she is a victim of gossip an average woman if you will. she lives off her cell phone and i-pod, school was never the thing for her. not that shes not smart, she just wasn't really made for it. growing up on a working farm made her strong on the inside and out, she is the average teenage girl with her basic needs but really has those country roots down deep.
she isn't a flat out hick and does like to try to fit in amongst the classy english riders but sometimes she can't help it. madison is sophisticated and classy but thinks about things differently, when something needs to be done she is in there like a dirty shirt. she spends most of her days at the stables working her horses to keep her clothes on her back and food on her table. very independent she doesn't need everyones help, perhaps its another flaw as she keeps a smile on at all times.
emotions are kept and hidden, true feelings pushed aside she really puts everyone before herself, she usually ends up run down or hurt in order to help a friend. really quite sweet she doesn't hate anyone for very long, grudges aren't her thing. madison is pretty happy go free, she has her focus's and is very work oriented but is most willing to pull her weight and then some in any situation. just mind some things around her, she is a little country!

ONLY CHILD.
I Come From Huston Texas
But I Live Here Now In the town - alone.
This Is Who I was
madison's story is nothing special, an only child into a well off working farm family. hard working parents, both working the farm she was victim to their hectic schedule as a child and often spent time alone. though her neighbors were horse fanatics, and when their daughter started looking after madison the bug was passed on. it was all madison ever spoke about out loud to her parents as a small girl, she had always been quiet. as a baby madi didn't talk till she was 1 and a half, never spoke a word. perhaps not cause she couldn't, though more like the fact she had no interest. though the sudden chatter from their four year old daughter alerted mom and dad to satisfy her new found desire. for her fifth birthday lessons were started, originally she rode western and mastered the three gaits within a year. show bound the following summer her father had been a horse man though kept only cow horses on his working farm. madison rode them daily, but it was when her own pony came into the picture that things really got stirred up.
madison was soon bored by working the cows and running the barrels, western really wasn't a thrill anymore when she rode it 7 days a week. instead she rode bareback and launched her pony over logs, parents weren't to pleased with this one but decided to spoil their only child anyways. she always had a horse, a hunter or eventer stayed in the farm with the chunky quarter horses she still did her daily chores on. soon came her trailer and show circuit was started, arabians made their way into her heart along the way. nationals and the maclay were done showed with the assistance of a trainer of course. madison was soon caught up in her showing world, farm chores were pushed aside and her parents picked up the slack. it was when her father broke his hip and oil was found on the farm's land. in an instant it sold for millions her parents ready to retire, madison resented them for not consulting her. they argued her never being around, and having no other choice with their financial situation. nothing was ever the same between madi and her folks, she really wanted her kids to grow up on the place like she had.
it was at sixteen she dropped school, moved out and tried to make it on her own. she searched out at job at local stables and made her own fortune, though upon her parents insistence she accepted funds from them as well to keep herself off the streets.its been two years since madison lived at home, and she has yet to regret a day of it. to be away from the parents she loved so much was at first foreign though soon wore on her. the independence and freedom the new found life brought the sixteen year old was well awing. she had worked really hard to start, making a saving account she knew one day soon enough she would have to get out of that small town. at seventeen she packed up her truck and horse and drove out of that small town full of bittersweet memories. For weeks to months she wandered around looking for the right place to settle, the right place to call home.
EXTRA - madi grew up on a working farm, she was never really out there until the age of three. at that time she was interested in nothing but the horses, which she was allowed to have rides on some days but they were working ranch horses not pony rides. when she got her own quarter pony she worked cows and ran the barrels, she was the gymkanna high pointed two years in a row on little old misty. though her love for western is strong it wasn't as rushing as it used to be. cross country lead to the jumper ring which lead to hunters then arabians. her knowledge is vast but she is by no means a trainer, she has always had at least green started horses. madison has nice form though does tend to let her reings get too long, and look down at her horses frame. she is very perticular about how her horse looks, eq classes not exactly her thing. madison is always learning has her own bad habbits and weakness's as any rider. her worst is probably the fact that she likes to ride in her arriat baby pro ropers in jeans and no helmet, even when schooling over fences or dressage. anything but a cowboy hat when riding feels funny...
This Is Who I am
Its odd this state shes in, happy but not truely. Stuck she can't seem to go forward or back, she really doesn't want to go through the embarrasment of being seen taking highschool. she isn't slow or stupid and has all the potential to hit college she just needs her graduation certificate. Madison has been hitting up some courses online and is slowley working at piecing things togeather. She is desperatly seeking a job and a new horse, she would really love to work with horses. New in town is always hard, she plans on keeping her head down and trying to blend in she is hoping that no-one will take offense or great notice to her cowgal roots.

the morning was no different, no different at all. she woke with hate filled in her usually warm hazel eyes, she hit the alarm clock with way to much force and then felt bad. after checking to make sure the thing still functioned she managed to pull herself from bed. muscles cramped and ached, they hated her for yesterday. she had done a two hour work out at the gym, started light though really pushed herself in hopes of being in good shape come show season. the truth being she wasn't over weight just demanded more muscle mass, when she had been working on the farm at home it was like a built in gym. haying and lifting bales, mucking and roping cows weren't the same workout she got taking care of sailor. the heaviest thing she had picked up in the past few weeks was her western saddle, so last night the 40 reps of 20 pounds had been a bit extreme. now as she pulled herself from the once made bed she sighed, riding wasn't really something she was in the mood for today. she truthfully just wanted to go back to sleep, curl up and never be woken once more. the wish was even more great as she pulled back her curtains, oh great it was a freaking winter wonderland out there how nice.
to her closet she stumbled, hoping desperately that she would find some clean comfy jeans. eyes were instead met by a pile of dirty clothes at the bottom of the closet, she grumbled as laundry was her least favorite chore but of course it had to be done. not really worried she grabbed a pair of Lu Lu lemon sweats and pulled them on, they fit her perfectly and were quite flattering on her small frame but it wasn't really what she was concerned about. over her bra she pulled on a long sleeve in a light powder shade of blue, and over that her deeper blue sweater it was nice and soft so warm. socks were placed on her small boots and she headed to the bathroom, washing her face with warm water she didn't bother with anything other than mascara not that she needed anything else it was just a habit, unless going out she didn't really wear make-up. she had showered last night but not dealt with her hair, it was in its natural curled state long and loose curls she dolled it up with some hair spray and shoved in a head band before putting on her tuke.
the car ride over was cold to start, but by the time she stopped for drive through coffee and made it to the farm she didn't want to leave the trucks warm seat. bracing herself for the few seconds in the winters cold she grabbed her bag and coffee and kicked open the door. leaping down with ease she used her hip to shut the door and then walked rather briskly to the barns door. forcing it open she was fast to close it behind her, for a moment she was still just taking in the warm familiar scent. eyes were opened and she strode down the isle, to her horse she was headed her boots were light on the floor. eyes of hazel finally cheery as she sipped on her warm coffee. sailors whicker was almost sincere while truthfully he just wanted the coffee cup madison had she dropped a kiss on his nose. bag was left on the tack box out side his stall, coffee placed down for safe keeping as well. removing her winter coat she knew how spoiled the farm was to be heated all over, it wasn't as warm as her bed had been but was better than the great outdoors.
sailor followed her with ease into the isle, she shoved him into cross ties and set to work. his tail wrapped up and braided was her challenge today, it had started to come out last weekend so she had promised herself to do it as soon as she had a spare day. carefully she cut the vet wrap and dropped it on the ground, as she pulled the long braid out she was pleased. dropping it for a moment smile erupted as it hit the ground, his tail was getting so long and the thickness was filling out as well. humming to herself as she worked to un braid the long white tassels she didn't even notice the boy in the stall to her left until sailor whipped his tail from her hands. she gasped and gave him a slap on the rump, simmering down some the gelding was still once more. though as madison looked up to keep an eye on him she noticed the boy grooming his horse, smiling she dared speak her slight western drawl was evident in each word.
morning there,
its a lovely day out there ain't it?
had she seriously just brought up the weather? holly cow, she watched the boy for a moment. he was good looking but the gelding he groomed really caught her eye, she had heard great things about him. his name was rickie, and he had been alley's horse or at least thats what madison had understood. returning her attention to sailor whom was oddly still she finished undoing the braid and worked some mane and tail into the milky mess of hair. his tail was a bit long and she would have to trim it some actually, though for now she was just slightly focused on getting the tangles out of the thing.
Thanks Isa for helping =]
