Kriss never really likes to mess with her hair. Her mother always begged to let her play with it, put it up and such. A dark chocolate brown, it is thick and heavy, threaded through with black strands as thick and coarse as wire. She rarely straightens it because it takes too much time to do so. Mostly she runs a curling gel through it and then leaves it be. Her hairdressers ever since she was younger would beg her to let them do something different with her, though she politely and stubbornly refused. Sometimes she would get bangs, or dye her hair with streaks of red or blonde, though she never really cared enough to keep it up.
Her hair frames a pretty face, not extraordinarily beautiful, but attractive enough to attract some male attention, not that it's usually any guy she would ever want to date. Odd green blue eyes are framed by thick black lashes, and are under heavy dark eyebrows that she has to continually pluck and wax. Her lips are average shape, and a pretty pink shade. Hidden behind them are straight, white teeth, a gift of braces when she was younger. Her nose fits her features, but she never thought it did, thinking that it was too big with her face. She hates her profile, thinking it protrudes to far outwards, but in truth it is just fine.
And connected to her head is of course her body. Thin and wiry, Kriss is not particularly fit, though still thin. She likes to sprint, but only when she has to. She is too lazy to work out. Her arms are long and thin, with a bit of muscle and she is strong enough to do most things easily. Her legs are thicker, and seem to go on forever. Her torso is long, though her legs make up most of her height. her skin is smooth, with a bit of an ivory tint. Not quite white, but definitely not tan.
This Is What Makes Me Stand Out Her height definitely makes her stand out. Only two of her girlfriends were taller than her when she was in high school, and only one was her height. The rest were shorter, although her guy friends were always taller than her, besides one at least.
» Chances Taken, Hope Embraced;
I Adore Food, reading, history
I Abhor Spiders, overly preppy girls, people who act stupid
I Rock She has a very good vocabulary and is quite intelligent, though in school she just never tried
I Suck She sucks at singing, hands down.
I Do She often makes an odd high pitched whistling sound, or bounces her feet and knees, since she hates sitting still. Oh, and she is a little OCD
I Want Loser that she is, she just wants to become an expert on the histories that she studies continually. Oh, and make some money to have a nice house. Isn't that what everyone wants?
I Fear She is terrified of being alone, and spiders are not her favorite things ever
I Shut up She is sure she has an anxiety disorder, for sometimes she becomes so anxious her stomach becomes upset and an odd pain enters her hands
I am --
Kriss enjoys being alone. As an only child she was always just with her parents and her pets. Don't get me wrong, she enjoys company, and loves to be with her friends. But if a friend becomes too attached and wants to always hang out with her, she distances herself, for she likes time to herself. Hers is a very sarcastic nature. It comes from her dad. Reading takes up a lot of her time, mostly fantasy books and of course history. She knows how to control her emotions pretty well. She doesn't like confrontation, and mostly avoids it, though if someone gets on her nerves enough time, she will say something. It doesn't happen often, and so she goes on with pretty peaceful life, though sometimes it starts to really build within her, all those emotions she doesn't let out
She's very quite by nature, and will often just sit and listen to a conversation rather than be active within it herself. Sometimes she voices her opinion, and often if it is an intellectual debate, it has weight and meaning. She collects gossip, but not on purpose, for people tell her things knowing she can keep her mouth shut. And she does keep her mouth shut, unless it is something major that could harm the person it is about.
History is her favorite subject and her mind stores many useless bits of information about it that she freely shares with anyone who will listen, and even if they don't listen. She loves it. It makes sense to her, much more than math, science or English. While she reads a lot and has a good mind for writing, she doesn't enjoy English, for it tells her how to write and all the proper things about writing and reading. She doesn't like being told what to do and that just pushes that button. She can be very stubborn, but is very upfront with it. She prefers quiet rebellions, not doing what she is told right that moment, and only sometimes speaks about it and rejects it openly.
» I Know I Won't Be Home At All;
I Came From Her mother and father live in New England, her mother a secretary at a school and her father a computer technician. They are both in their 60s now
I Share My Dna With Only child
I Come From Boston
But I Live Here Now Meredith, NH
This Is Who I was
She was born and raised in Boston, so guess what, she has the typical Bostonian accent. But where she lives and where she usually visits, it's never a very extraordinary thing. Though once she travels outside of the New England area, it is highly noticeable. Comments, and snide remarks are made about it if she goes to Florida and other places.
Her father's family owns a cabin in the Lakes Region in New Hampshire on a little lake that rarely showed up on maps. She spent nearly every weekend of her summers growing up there, swimming during the day and playing manhunt through the woods and other cabins in the dark every night. Those are some of her favorite memories. Once she got a job, however, she wasn't able to go up there whenever she wanted, something that made her bitterly disappointed.
She always had a small circle of friends, and one of them has always been with her since second grade. She still keeps in touch with her, and they are great friends, almost the same person in a way sometimes. One always knows what the other is thinking when it comes to certain things. She, of course, has other friends, ones that she loves as well. When she was younger, she was quite tongue-tied when it came to talking to boys. But once she got to freshman year in high school, she got over that pretty quick after chumming up with some guys in one of her classes, who were always with her through her high school years.
And off she went to college, studying history of course. And anthropology, learning of different cultures, though her favorites were always past cultures such as the Greeks and Romans, spurring her to take Latin and Mythology, learning the myths by heart, able to repeat almost every Greek myth known. She made a couple friends, dated a guy or two, but was too focused on getting her degree to really have a relationship. And after graduating, she wandered the east coast, looking for a place where she could really settle down for a bit.
This Is Who I am Eh, just drifting a bit. But when did she ever not really drift places?

It as dark in the smaller gym, for it had no windows. The lights were out for a movie. Yeah, gym class, watching a movie. The rolled up mats had been pushed around the T.V. set, so that anyone who wanted to stretch out on them could. One could fit four people. On Kriss's, she was curled on her side, her best guy friend beside her. She was so tired. Her eyes kept drifting shut, despite the fact that it was a good movie. She could hear Ryan beside her, moving and talking to Tim and Austin, who were sharing the rolled mat with them. A hand suddenly grabbed her shoulder and she rolled over, looking at the culprit. Ryan merely grinned down at her, and she glared at him for a moment before speaking. What, loser. He laughed at her tone before replying. Nothin'. Just making sure you were still alive. She rolled her eyes and moved back into her original position, letting her eyes close and drift off the sleep.
The period was an hour and a half, just like all the others in the school day and she was asleep during it for at least half an hour. Ryan woke her up once more. Why? Because he is a jerk, of course. He leaned down to whisper something in her ear once he saw she was awake. Umm, I have something I need to tell you. She turned her head and sat up a bit so that when he spoke, it wouldn't seem like he was speaking to her like a lover. Yeah? she answered, curious because he looked serious. He looked quite uncomfortable also. Now her interest was piqued. He told her what she need to know, and her eyes narrowed in anger. Um, your boyfriend is cheating on you. I'm best friends with the other girl. All she could do was thank him at the moment.
Thanks Isa for helping =]
