» Rock and Roll, Baby.;
I am so tall 5'7"
And I Weigh 110 lbs.
Ive Bee Ninked And Pierced Ears pierced. That's all.
They always say I look like
Claire has a slender, curvy body. Her legs are long, despite her being rather short. She has a 'nice rear end', as most guys will tell her. She's always been skinny, but never anorexic or anything, just with a nice body. She's never been all that tall either, looking at her height now. But, she doesn't care, because either way she knows she's beautiful. She has no tattooes, which turns off some people, but she doesn't care. Her legs are amazing, and she has average sized thighs - not too fat, not too skinny. Her knees sort of stick out a little bit more than she'd like them to when she stands up straight, so that's one thing she doesn't like. She has small, dainty feet, and she likes to know that she doesn't have to wear humoungous shoes like her mom or dad, so she loves her dainty little feet. Her skin is very soft and clear, and rarely does she breakout, because she keeps her face clean, washing it every morning and night. Soft skin is another thing she and most others love about her.
She's truly a gorgeous girl. Her hair is naturally straight, but sometimes she curls it just because. Her hair is a beautiful brunette color that goes down a couple of inches below her shoulders. Claire's eyes are a bright blue that can make anyone's jaw drop. She has arched eyebrows that make her have a sexy, even more beautiful look. Her eyelashes are gorgeously curled and jet black, making her eyes stand out even more than they already do. She also wears eyeliner to make them really pop. Her head is somewhat heart-shaped, and she has a medium sized nosed that sort of slopes at the end. Pearly white, almost perfectly straight teeth show when she smiles her beautiful smile.
Claire most likes to wear tight-fitting jeans and t-shirts that are also rather tight-fitting. Her favorite clothes come from Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollster, and Aeropostale. Her favorite colors are lime green, purple, and light blue, so those are usually the color shirts she has on. For shoes, usually either new balance or nike tennis shoes or flats. Sometimes, she'll wear heels, but usually only when she goes out. Claire keeps her hair down most of the time, and likes it better straight, as it naturally is. She'll curl it for special occassions, but rarely.
This Is What Makes Me Stand Out
Definitely her eyes. She has the most amazing, bright blue eyes, with solid black, nicely curled eyelashes and a little bit of black eyeliner, they really stand out.

I am
Claire is a really sweet girl. She hates seeing people sad or depressed, and usually tries to help as much as she can. Claire loves to give advice, because to her, it feels good when you know your advice helped someone else achieve something. But, her advice doesn't always help, and it makes her feel a little bad when it doesn't, knowing that she said something that only made someone's problems worse. Sometimes, she'll get so caught up in helping other people with their issues, she gets overwhelmed with her own and will just break down. It's something she tries to keep hidden from others, and so far she's succeeded. One of the things she hates most is crying in front of people.
Claire is very shy when she first meets someone. After awhile though, she's actually really outgoing. She loves to be goofy and have fun, but won't show it until she knows someone well enough. Despite being goofy and fun around her friends and family, when it comes to riding - Dressage in particular - she's very serious and professional. Riding is her whole life, her passion, and so she takes it quite seriously. Calire hates lying, but sometimes she does because she gets so overwhelmed she doesn't quite know what to do. Because Claire likes to be independent, she doesn't enjoy help from others with her problems, or things she has to do herself. She likes doing things herself because it makes her feel proud of herself afterwards. But, if she breaks down crying in front of someone, then you know she needs a little encouragement.
Because she's rather shy, you don't see a meaner side of Claire often. So when she's mad, you know you must've really screwed up. Having her heart broken is one of the things she fears, and when it comes to boyfriends, she likes serious relationships better. If she gets lied to, you had better watch out, because she'll be going after someone. Claire doesn't take well to dishonesty, and won't tolerate it. But, just to sum it all up, Claire is sweet, goofy, fun to be around, shy at first, serious about riding, very trustworthy and honest, helpful, caring, sometimes over-dramamtic, she can sometimes be overwhelmed, hates being lied to, prefers serious relationships, has a lot of friends back home, is a great person once you get to know her, but if you screw up, see you at your funeral.

This Is Who I was
On the morning of February 17, 1990, at 3:49 a.m., a little baby girl was born. It was in Louisville, Kentucky on a clear, but chilli, late winter morning. Her mother and father decided to name her Claire Armelle Channing. Claire meaning "illustrious", and Armelle meaning "princess". They left the hospital a week later, and little Claire saw the house she'd grow up in for the first time.
When she was five years old, her older sister ten years old, Claire got the chicken pox. Her older sister and mother cared for her while her father took care of his newly founded racing stable, 'Channing Thoroughbred Racing'. After two weeks of resisting the urge to scratch, and eating ice cream and soup to make her feel better, Claire's chicken pox healed. Her older sister, Elizabeth, didn't have to worry about gettingnit, because she'd had them already as well. Claire also had her first boyfriend a couple of years later, when she turned seven. Elizabeth was a little bit meaner these days to her younger sister, seeing how she would be a teenager soon.
On her thirteenth birthday, Claire got her first horse. Even though she'd been riding for years, with the instruction and kind help of her father, she'd never had a horse. It was an off-the-track, jet black Thoroughbred gelding. He was five years old at the time of retireing from racing, due to a lack of wins. He was the sweetest horse Claire had ever had, and he's who got her started in wanting to raise and train warmbloods, Thoroughbreds in particular.
On February 17, four years ago, a tradgedy occured that would change Claire's life forever. It was her fifteenth birthday, and her twenty year old sister was driving to get a late birthday cake in the pouring rain. A drunk driver plowed into her car and the impact was so forceful, that it broke Elizabeth's back, and she died immediately. Claire does still blame herself for this event, being that it was her birthday and her sister was going to get her a present. But, she hates talking about it, and really can't even enjoy her birthday anymore.
This Is Who I am She resides in the beautiful West Virginia near Pinewood Stables.

I Am Awesome
Claire walked into the huge barn with a smile on her face. She took in all of the mingled scents of the barn. Leather, hay, fly spray, horse shampoo. It was all so soothing to her. So familiar. She walked on and scanned the stall doors for the brass nameplate that said Asthore on it. Tody was her first day riding Asthore, and the eigth day Asthore had been here. When she finally spotted her horse's name, she went to the half door and clicked her tongue. Asthore was a 16.2 hand, dark bay Trakehner mare that Claire was working with for the stable. She was a clown in the barn, but a dream in the ring. She had a white stripe that stretched all the way down her face, and ended under her bottom lip. She had long, sturdy legs and a silky mane and tail that was combed thoroughly every day by Claire. Claire stroked her head as Asthore rubbed her head on Claire's arm. Claire admired the beautiful mare for a few more minutes before she decided it was time to tack her up.
She rubbed the purple rubber curry comb in small circles all over Asthore's body, bringing up the dirt and dead hair from the mare's glossy coat. It took about four minutes to brush her out thoroughly with just the curry comb, but when she finished, Claire pulled out a body brush and brushed off the loose hair and dirt from Asthore's coat. She did it over and over again, even though she knew it was done. When she decided to stop brushing the mare, she pulled out her hoof pick and tapped on Asthore's right front foot with it while clicking her tongue, telling her to lift her foot up. When the big bay mare finally gave in, Claire picked out almost every bit of dirt out of the horse's hoof. She did the same with the other hooves, then ran a brush about 20 times through the mare's mane and tail.
She situated the white saddle pad onto Asthore's back, and then took a blue, english saddle shaped saddle pad and put it on top of the white one. Claire walked over to the small rack where she had put the black, freshly-polished dressage saddle and grabbed the saddle. After she had settled it into position on Asthore's back, she flipped the girth off of the saddle and brought it under the mare's chest. Securing it tightly, but not overly so, she patted the mare's neck and walked off to get the bridle. She was surprised at how easily Asthore took the bit, and and rubbed the mare's nose in praise. She quickly buckled the cavesson and then the throatlatch, then threw the reins over the bay's neck, making sure the rested on the saddle. Claire decided she'd see how Asthore did with leg wraps, so she got into her bag of horse stuff, and pulled out four white leg wraps. She wrapped them onto the mare's legs, and double checked them before she unbuckled the halter from Asthore's neck and led her out of the barn.
Claire brought the huge bay over to the mounting block, and placed her left foot in the left stirrup, then swung her right leg over and settled herself into the saddle. She checked her helmet again, and then had to adjust her stirrups before asking Asthore into a smooth walk. She did a couple of wide circles with the mare, testing how sensitive she was to the bit. It turned out that Asthore was very obedient and willing. The second time she came to the far right corner of the ring, she pushed Asthore into an extended trot, posting as she went along. Claire hated sitting trots, they were so bouncy and uncomfortable, so Claire usually always did a posting trot unless asked to do a sitting trot. She did some wide circles on seperate sides of the ring every so often, keeping Asthore keen to her commands. She brought her into a collected trot, and slow her posting rhythm to match the rhythm of Asthore's steps.
Claire figured it'd give her good practice to do some sitting trots, so she put most of weight in the back of the saddle and tightened her legs enough to keep a good seat, but not enough to make Asthore go faster. After once around the arena, Claire went back to posting, but felt proud that she'd done so well at a sitting trot. She turned Asthore to the inside and changed direction, keeping her at a steady collected trot. She went about three times around, then pushed her into a canter. Claire looked over the mare's shoulders to check her lead, and had to change it. She was surprised at how obedient this mare was; it was an immediate indication of superb training. She went one and a half laps around the arena, then slowed the mare to a walk, letting her cool off some before she started a trot again.
