Hayley had really lost it, ever since she had been involved in drugs. She wasn’t the same anymore, she didn’t even sound the same. Stardom was supposed to be hard; no one ever said it was easy. But then again no one ever said you have to get involved with drugs and alcohol too. There were plenty successful singers that weren’t into that stuff that was presently successful. Take Hannah Montana for instance. Take Jordan sparks as another example Taylor swift, and Carrie Underwood. Unfortunately, Hayley had been provoked to try some cocaine by other celebrities. Her boyfriend known as ‘Taylor made’ from I love New York and Amy lee had tired to get her in the drugs and Hayley had gave in. Of course they left her after, so Hayley didn’t help herself by smoking more to kill the heart pain.
But today she had paid for those sins. It was the worst day, and possibly would get worse. Hayley had to watch her own baby while her friends where out doing god knows what. I mean it was awful. With the crying, and diaper changing drove her mad, the burping after milk made her more insane. When Hayley wanted Cody to go to sleep, the 2 month old baby would cry his longs out. Hayley tried to sing to him, but he didn’t take a liking to misery business apparently, the baby didn’t know what a whore was. If he did, Hayley was sure he would laugh. ‘Once a whore you’re nothing more’. That was pretty funny don’t you think? Yea. It was hysterical. It wasn’t enough for little Cody to give Hayley a big headache but for him to throw up all over her brand new shirt. It was the worst, and the stain would not come out. This is one of those days, where Hayley wished she could have used protection. Should have used protection, to Hayley he was a mistake.
It was late in the evening, about 5:00 or so and Megan and the rest of her freaking posse was still out of the house. That is until Megan came barging in, then Alex, then Hannah. They all seemed mad, but not at each other. At Hayley. Hayley seemed quit frightened, and she was. You could not believe how scared this nineteen year old was, to the point where she was shaking. You would be to if all the people you lived with her taller than you, (except for the expectation of Alex) and you where only five foot two. The teenagers gathered around Hayley and all tapped their foot in unison. Hayley tried not to laugh, but she let out a giggle anyway. Megan was her first to open her mouth. “First off where’s Cody”? Megan asked obviously concerned about Cody. “He’s upstairs sleeping.” Hayley replied. Megan looked relived but it didn’t ease tension out of her face. It was so tense you could whack it with a steak knife, or stab it because whacking someone with a knife isn’t very nice. Next it was Hannah’s turn to speak, little did she know it would change her life, Hannah’s words would touch her that much.
“Hayley, we love you. What we don’t like is the new Hayley. You used to be so fun to hang out with; you used to be my friend. I used to know where you where, what your doing. I used to care where you where and what you where doing. But you have changed. The Hayley Williams I knew was loving, even if she did have a baby she would never in the world say it was a mistake. Now I always know where you are. You either are at the club getting laid, at the concert all getting high, or at the loft drinking. I don’t really care where you are anymore because your never sober. You told all of us you where going to quit, but we found like 7 packs of crack in the car, and bottles of vodka. Hayley you need help. I’m not asking you to go to rehab; I’m not asking you to get any medical help. I’m not asking for you to turn yourself in for drug use. I’m asking you to go leave the house for at least a night and think things over. Take Cody with you.” Hannah spoke fluently with breaths in between sentences. She felt the need to stay strong for Hayley, but tears came down like rain anyway.
The silence was more awkward this time. Hayley spent a few moments silent, thinking about what Hannah said. She took so much information in her head. Paramore’s singer felt a sudden rush of betrayal within her. Even though her friends where only helping, Hayley was so lost she didn’t really think so. She got up from the teal coach and pushed Hannah on the ground. Hannah threw a punch at Hayley when she stood up, but Alex stopped his friend and whispered words of kindness in Hannah’s ear. Hannah agreed Hayley wasn’t in her right mind so stopped the small fight right then and there. Megan went up stairs to get a diaper bag for Cody, and Hayley’s night bag so she could spend the night in the stable. Hayley didn’t notice Megan’s abstinence. Hannah went with Alex into the kitchen to get Hayley some food, and Hayley was left on the coach blackheart feelings felt within her. She was alone now, and the silence returned. Solitude was defiantly not golden.
Megan grabbed Hayley’s cloths (A skull animal shit and yellow pants) and threw them in the bag. She also grabbed her large makeup case and added that too, in the large black trash bag like tote. Hayley’s brush as also added along with a movie, a journal, a pen, and old photographs of Hayley and her friends. Megan wanted Hayley to spend at least a day and half there in the stable’s loft, to do some deep thinking. But Megan was Hayley’s best friend and wanted her to be entertained as well. Next was the diaper bag (which contained the normal) and found something that Hayley would want as well. She slipped the brown acoustic guitar into the bag as well (by this time is was halfway fool) and realized it would look stupid to take a trash bag. Megan transferred the crap into a black backpack and smiled when it was finished. The diaper bag fit in with Hayley’s high school back pack she wouldn’t have to carry to many things. Megan grabbed Cody next, he wasn’t sleeping like Hayley said and put him on her shoulder. Megan couldn’t carry the bag, the musical instrument, and the baby so she grabbed the baby holder that you put on your back. Megan trotted down stairs, and saw that Alex had a small bag of food for Hayley. Megan grabbed the food and threw it in with the rest of the stuff and walked back to Hayley.
“Come on Hayley” Megan said. Hayley followed Megan into the truck. Megan set the baby in the car seat, and handed Hayley the keys. “Hayley come back when you’re ready. I sure hope you go to the stable, but if we never see you again, we’ll miss you.” Megan walked back into the house, leaving Hayley to set the junk in the car. She did so, and then drove off into the some what violent and cool weather. Hayley let out a few tears, as she smelt the drugs in the back of the car. She wasn’t going to smoke or drink tonight. Hayley spoke to Cody about what they where doing as they pulled into the stable’s parking lot. Hayley grabbed the back pack like device and set Cody it, and put it around her back. Then she grabbed the guitar and backpack and ran to the loft. The storm was pretty bad, and the wind was rattling.
Hayley had set a blanket down away from the band’s equipment (Paramore let the stuff in the loft) and watched as Cody crawled around on it playing with his little baby toys. Hayley been watching sponge bob on the TV that was fairly new, covered up in a blanket herself. She decided to close the wooden door, the horses where getting annoying. Hayley noticed a full body mirror behind the door. She found herself lost in it, and her reflection. Hayley’s hair had died out, therefore it was brown again and it was fairly long. She hadn’t any make up on, nor had she brushed her hair. There were dark circles around her eyes, and they seemed to bring out little freckles on Hayley’s cheeks as well because of the shading. Hayley looked awful. She was still pretty, I mean her usual body was in tact. But she wasn’t as ‘Hayley’ us usual. The big, white sweat shirt that read ‘Phoenix’ didn’t flatter her. Nor did the blue plaid sweatpants that where to big for her as well, that showed her belly button and part of her stomach. Hayley would be utterly embarrassed if anyone saw her like this.
Hayley noticed Cody was crying, and rushed to pick him up. She stopped crying when he saw mommy, and let out a giggle. Hayley laughed too as she sat on the coach with her baby. They where bonding for once. Hayley kissed him on his blond little head and whispered some words she had never whispered to him before. “I love you.”

The front door slammed. Tanner Brinkley stepped in off the porch, tracking mud across the stone tiling. Miranda looked up exasperatedly from her position on the floor. ||Tanner!|| she yelled. ||I just finished washing the floor. Take your shoes off!|| her thirteen-year-old brother shot her a dirty look. Miranda sighed.
Just then their mom Christi stepped in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dishrag. ||Tanner, have you done your homework?|| she asked. ||La-de-friggin'-da, what do you care?|| Tanner snapped back. Miranda felt her spine stiffen. Uh-oh. ||Tanner Brinkley, don't you dare talk to me like that,|| Christi said, sparks flying in her sapphire eyes. Tanner's brown eyes sparked back. Miranda resisted the urge to go hide under her bed. ||I am your mother, and you will treat me with respect.||||Yeah, well, I don't care! You never spend any time with us before, don't bother to start caring now.|| ||Tanner, I do care. I love you kids.|| even though she'd heard the words a million times, Miranda felt tears spring to her eyes as she listened to Christi's pleas. ||Sometimes I wish you were dead!|| Tanner yelled. Miranda couldn't stay silent any longer. ||Tanner, stop!|| she screamed. ||Why do you do this to us? We're supposed to be a family, but you don't even care!|| She scrambled to her feet and rushed out the door. She brushed past Will on the sidewalk coming home from work and she could hear her mother calling, but she didn't care. She got into her car and started driving. She had to get away. Miranda pulled her beat-up car into the Pinewood parking lot and turned off the old Toyota's engine. It sputtered once, then she heard the familiar clicking as the engine cooled. She rested her head on the steering wheel and sniffled. She was seventeen, for crying out loud, she thought everything was supposed to get better when you got more freedom. Still crying, she got out of the car and headed towards the stable. She didn't really want to go see her horse right now, he had a way of cheering her up and she didn't need cheer right now. She wanted to sulk, feel sorry for herself. So she climbed up to the loft. But the last thing she expected to find there was a teenager with a baby. ||Oh my gosh, what are you doing here? It's like, night for crying out loud. Shouldn't you be at home or something?||

Cheyenne show me what it's like to be the last one standing;;
----------
My keys jingled as I pulled them from the ignition and opened the truck door. Hopping out, I shivered. Boy, it was getting cold out. I jogged up to the house and quickly shoved my key into the lock and turned it with click. I couldn't help but smile as the sound of my mutt whining from the other side of the wooden contraption. mad it to my ears. Swinging the door open, I quickly stepped in and slammed it shut, immediately feeling the warmth of the heated house surround me. My relaxation was very short lived as soon dog claws could be felt on my leg. "Down Dellah" I scolded, eyeing the black wagging tailed young pup. My face softened and I leaned down to greet her affectionately, letting her wet licks engulf my face as she disobeyed her orders and jumped up. I let it slide, and pushed her off as I stood up straight again.
"Hey Alex" I crooned, scratching behind the old dog's ears. His tail thumped slowly against the padded floor as he got up from his napping position long enough to lick my hand in welcome. Throwing my purse on the coffee table, I walked over to my phone and saw a blinking red light, indicating that I had a message. Plopping down on the couch comfortably, I leaned over and pressed "Review". A beep emmited from the machine as it began to play the message. I froze when I heard the voice. Dad? My hearts skipped a beat and my stomach flipped as the message continued. "Uh... hey, it's me. I uh, well. We haven't talked in a while, and I just... I just wanted to see how you were doing. Well, I mean- look, do you think you... would you meet me at the diner tomorrow at one o'clock? You know, in town. I just, I want to talk to you... I understand if you don't come, but-" Tears were in my eyes now as he continued. "Well, I hope you will" it finished with a sigh and another beep. Leaning back against the couch, I closed my eyes to keep the tears from coming as I allowed a sigh to come from my lungs. "Gosh Chey, you're such a crybaby" I told myself. But why had he called? It had been 3 years since she had heard from him. He sounded so sincere, but yet there was something wrong. Why had he called me now? What did he want? Questions raced through my mind at a hundred miles an hour. One side of me wanted so badly to see him, to feel his once loving embrace again. I wanted what we had before the accident... But the other side told me no way. He had blamed for everything that happened that night. He hated me! Hot tears ran down my cheeks despite myself. What could I do? I let my gaze settle on the answering machine. His message seemed to echo through my mind. "I just want to talk to you". Another tear rolled down my cheek. I missed him so much, but yet... I also hated him for blaming me; for pushing me away, for not caring... I shook my head as if the action would clear my mind. But it didn't. I needed to get away, I had to think. Grabbing my purse again, I ran out the door and flung it open. The freezing cold wind hit my face like a thousand bee stings, but I bared my head down, snuggling closer into my coat as I ran to the truck. Jumping inside, I slammed the door shut and sat up against the seat for a minute. The sound of the fierce wind outside was muffled by the metal enclosure as I leaned up against the seat for a minute and closed my eyes. I needed to see Shadow. Just being at the stable calmed my nerves. Maybe it would help me decide what to do... I debated wither or not to stay there for the night. All I knew was that I needed to be away. Opening my eyes, I shoved the keys into the ignition again and started the truck with a loud rumble as I placed it in gear and backed out of my driveway. Forgetting all about my hate for driving in the dark, I sped down the road at full speed. Maybe I could loose all the thoughts that were jumbled up in my head right now... I knew it was nonsense, but nothing seemed real right now. Was the message a dream? Was this even happening? I didn't know, and right now I wasn't anywhere near being able to answer that question. My destination finally appeared in the dark distance. Pinewood; my escape. The sight of the familiar building had never been so welcoming to my weary eyes as I pulled into the gravel parking lot. I either didn't notice the other vehicles parked there, or I didn't care. Hopping out of the truck, I rushed inside, closing the large doors behind me. The warmth of the stable surrounded me, and I took a deep, shuddering breath; filling my lungs with the sweet smelling air. I already started to feel better. Making my way to Shadow's stall, the grey gelding peeked his head out and nudged me as I approached. His ears were perked as I opened the stall door and slipped inside. "Hey Boy" I managed to say before tenderly running my fingers along his sleek neck. Tears were afresh in my eyes as he nickered. It seemed to warm the very depths of my heart at that moment, and I threw my arms around his neck. I felt his head come around to nudge my leg as I buried my head in his coat. Taking a deep breath, I leaned my arms across his back and stroked his neck. "What am I gonna do boy?" I asked, my voice barely over a whisper. His soft brown eyes met mine, and seemed to say 'what's wrong? are you okay?' I smiled as I took his nose in my hand as I hugged it. Before I knew it I told him everything. "I want to see him so bad, but at the same time I don't" I finished after a few minutes, shaking my head and letting myself rest on his flank. I wasn't cold any more, despite the freezing wind outside that was pounding on the walls in a demand to come in. Shadow's warmth engulfed my inside and out, and I began to feel a little better. Taking another deep breath, I let a small smile cross my features for a moment. Shadow had always been there to listen, and could always make me feel better. Stroking his neck for another few minutes, I watched as the gelding's eyes slowly began to droop, his head hanging lower and lower. Giving him a quick kiss on the nose, I whispered in his ear before slipping out of the stall. "Goodnight boy". Now standing in the hallway, I realized how tired I was. My eyelids felt like they were a hundred pounds, and my feet ached from tiredness. My mind made up to stay here for the night, after all: it would be too dangerous to drive home this tired, in the dark. My light footsteps tapped along the cement floor as I made my way to the loft, a yawn emmiting from my mouth. Reaching the large wooden door, I stopped and looked in. My eyes caught Hayley, and another girl I had not met before. I was a little surprised, and wondered why they were here so late. For a second I felt almost annoyed; I wanted to be alone. but I quickly shook the thought. Just because I was tired didn't mean I had more of a right to be here than anyone. My gaze shifted to the small child that was playing on the floor. Cody. I let another small smile grace my features. I opened the door and walked in slowly, knowing I must have looked like a tired mess. "Hi Hayley..." I said, finally finding words. My stomach growled suddenly and I realized how hungry I was. Walking over to the fridge, I kept my hazel eyes on the two girls. "What are you guys doing here so late?" I asked, my eyes still drooping with every blink. Opening up the small fridge, I pulled out a fruit snack bar and quickly opened it, stuffing a bite into my mouth as I walked over to the second couch and plopped down. I resisted the urge to lay down flat across the couch and go to sleep for the sake of politeness as I awaited their reply. ((OOC: Woop, woop, I found some muse! haha))

&& Lani -It takes years to build t.r.u.s.t, and just a word to d.e.s.t.r.o.y it-
& A cold winter wind whistled about in the open land, pushing against the large white snow drifts that pushed against the edge of the arena fences. The white power covered the whole ground in such a Virginia winter, making everything appear white and beautiful. Though it was only a light layer of snow that had fallen upon us from the heavens above. The scene was common for the people living in the area, something they had been used to for years now and grew to expect and hope for. The peaceful, beautiful terra firma was just the thing to melt anyone heart with cold degree weather. Suddenly the tranquil place and interrupted as a door opened. The first thing anyone could notice was snow falling from the frame and in front the young girl¡¯s feet. Lani just looked down at it for a second before letting her green colored orbs gaze up at the scene of newly fallen snow. Squinting as the sunlight reflected off the snow and into her eyes she just shook her head and started back forward, pushing the heavy wooden door close again behind him.
& À Hands gloved in thin gloves to keep warm, the same gloves she used to ride her horse with, were firmly pushed into the pockets of a black coat for even more coverage. Slowly she made her way out to one of the side barns, head kept down while the dark sandy mob on top of her head was pushed playfully around in the wind. It was early, the moon raised and the night¡¯s animals scurrying around looking for food before day broke out. Lani wasn¡¯t even sure if she was allowed out this late, but that was of little concern to her. New friends had been made, that was for sure. Some friends she had at Pinewood were some what of a bad influence and some just the opposite. Yet Lani related to all of them some way and kept close to them. Her Dad free from jail, her mother broke, living with her Aunt and Uncle¡¦ life was hard, what else is there to say? Lani had come here to get thoughts off her head. She had felt terrible about smoking and drugs, but she was now so used to them that she didn¡¯t realize it.
& À Finally reaching the barn door, she pushed the heavy blockage open easily and slipped inside before letting it close behind her by will of the wind. Making her wince at the loud bang and quickly looked down the barn aisle to make sure none of the horses spooked at such a noise and to her thanking only one unnatural noise could be heard above the screeching wind, and that was a sound he knew all too well. A slight smile appeared upon her features, Lani made her way down the rows of stalls, not looking either direction. Optics were glued to the ground at her feet, the concrete floor covered with hay that needed to be cleaned off and watching the snow that had attached to her boots coming off with every step she took. Suddenly the red haired girl stopped, seemingly not paying any attention to where she was going, but her mind knew well otherwise. She had walked this same path more times then she had ever wanted to and knew it like her own house: how many steps were taken, how the floor looked and even the lighting pattern were drilled into her head as if it were the sound of her own voice.
& À Cranium tilting upwards, Lani looked into the stall she stood next to. This was the only one where the upper portion of the door had been open because Lani hadn¡¯t been there earlier to close it. Inside the noise of a hoof hitting the wooden siding could be easily heard over everything else. Shaking her head slowly the young girl too a step forward and looked into the stall door before she let a low, calming whistle come from her soft pink lips. The dapple grey pelt suddenly stopped all movements for a second before quickly pacing over to the stall door and put her nose to the metal bars. ¡°Hey boy,¡± Lani¡¯s voice held a low, just awoken tone before she reached up and gently petted the gelding¡¯s muzzle with a gloved hand. Zane threw his head upwards quickly, just causing the girl to scoff. ¡°Yeah, yeah I¡¯ll get it Zane, I am sorry if you were asleep.¡± The red haired girl took a single step back and over, cautiously making slow movements as Lani leaned down to a garbage can by the side of the box stall the rampaging gelding was in. Hurriedly the green eyed girl dug her way through the bail before filling up a bucket with the sweet feed it held inside. Then, throwing the lid back on she rushed back over to the stall door for her big teddy bear, Zane.
& À One hand pushed the top portion of the door open before she did the same with the bottom and let herself in, making sure to close the door behind her once again. She had some close calls in the past with his mighty head and didn¡¯t want risk injury by the hoof of her friend. It wasn¡¯t long after she was inside before Zane was pushing up by her, sticking his muzzle into the bucket Lani held in her hand. Quickly jerking the food away, Lani pushed at the steed¡¯s cheek. ¡°Ahh,¡± she said firmly. Zane still had a little problem with using his proper manners. Lani watched as her horse backed away, a very annoyed look accompanying such a movement. Lani moved swiftly over and hung the bucket on the side of the stall. For a second she stood there, staring at Zane with careful eyes, before stepping back. Once she was at the side of the stall the gelding moved forward and quickly started to lip up the food, Lani just giggled seeing her horse happy.
& À Stepping out of Zane¡¯s stall she looked back tears filled in her eyes. Since she had been on cocaine she had massive mood swings and seeing her horse for some reason bothered her. Right now the truth was deep down in a black ditch inside of her stomach while she ignored it. Ever since she started smoking she felt guilt for not coming to ride and see her horse as offend. Lani loved Zane with all her heart, no doubt about it, but nothing made sense anymore to her¡¦ she just gave up life you could say. Suddenly the young girl wanted her drug, to make her emotions pay for what they are doing to her. Taking a cocaine cigarette and pulled the wood door open a tiny bit just enough for her to fit through. Fiddling through her pockets she found her lighter and quickly lighted it, like she had done it many times. Pulling it to her mouth she drew a mouth and took a drag before blowing it back out into the coldness. The wind had no mercy and hit her face like a million bullets, each stinging in different spots, having no control where they went. Lani¡¯s eyes half closed though feeling the drug kick in. Once again the harsh wind blew making her shiver so she dropped the cigarette after a few more drags and stomped on it until it was no longer lit. Sliding back inside she decided to head up toward the loft since she couldn¡¯t go back home with the smell of smoke on her. What would her parents think? Little did she know anyone else was in the loft this late. Since Lani hadn¡¯t taken in to much of the drug, she understood what was going on around her but her thoughts weren¡¯t completely straight.
& Opening the door she saw hayley on the couch and Cody sitting on a blanket on the floor. Then Chey and Miranda who looked like they had just arrived too. Lani let her optics shift around the room not noticing the smell of smoke on her as she walked farther into the room. The girl's thoughts were jumbled in her mind so it took a minute for her to start speaking. Why are you bugs here so late? Realizing she said something wrong she shook her head and let out a small chuckle and corrected herself, I meant guys not bugs. It was obvious she was acting weird, and the smell on her coat didn't help. Slipping off her jacket she threw it so it landed in a bean bag and looked around with a blank expression on her face like she was clueless, but really just waiting for an answer.
((That took my muse right outa me!^^))

Cody’s little eyes focused on the drum set, and his hands reached for it. Hayley’s arms constantly kept reaching for the infant, warning Cody to keep away from the fun, but hazardous equipment. Hayley was greatly board with what was on T.V and stood up. She made her way to the television and pressed the black, large button. The button made the TV turn of instantly, but thankfully Cody didn’t make happy of the silent sound and cried. The crying was growing quit immense so Hayley gave up. She rolled her eyes, and bam. The television turned on. Hayley found the remote from under the TV’s drawer and flipped the channels. She stopped when she saw her music video (or her bands) on MTV. It was Misery Business and it seemed to just have begun. Hayley blasted the music up loudly, and ignored the horses noise when they began spooking. Cody was used to this; his mom blasted music comely, and clapped. It was quit cute really. Hayley took a seat on the couch and sang with the music. Cody contained himself by playing with a pillow.
Her moment was over when a un familiar girl came running in the loft. To Hayley, she too looked mortified. Hayley let out a laugh before speaking to the face. Lifting up her arm, she pointed at the TV. She looked at herself for a moment or two, and then opened her mouth. “It’s a normal day when you see yourself singing to TV, to a music video that gave you fame. Anyway I am Hayley. The baby from hell over there playing with a brown pillow, he’s mine. His name is Cody. I’m his mother. Want to know why I am here eh? If you really want to know for once I am not going to lie to someone. Make sure to mark your calendar bitch.” Now normally Hayley didn’t go around calling random girls a bitch, but like I said. It wasn’t her. It was the drugs, and all that she put herself through. “My family, or friends kicked me out of the house. Why? I’m a crack head. There you said it. I’m nineteen though. You would think I would have a choice to take drugs and not pay for it. “Hayley rolled her eyes, and patted the couch signaling the girl to sit next to her. “Your turn. Why are you here? Heroin addict? Life’s mistake? Because if you want to commit suicide I have a knife in my truck.”
Finishing Hayley’s little rant, she finally calmed down. That is until she saw Chey. One person seeing her a mess was fine. But this was someone she knew, someone other than a kid that looked to still be in school. “Oh my gosh” she screamed at the top of the rock stars lungs. “Not you too.” Hayley stood up, using hand motions as she spoke. “You’re here to. What the hell is wrong with everybody today. You know what I am this close to going in my truck and getting high. So high I can touch the sky man! I am such a mess right now. My hair is down, my eyes are red and quit frankly I miss the yellow in them; I have a hole in my nose from snorting cocaine. I get bloody noses for that reason now comely. My arms have holes in them when smoking doesn’t work. I also have no make up on chey.” Hayley said rambling about. She calmed down, and sat back on the couch. “I also got this girl into drugs. Her name is Lanie or something like that.” Hayley took aeep breath. She felt bad. “So anyway Chey why are you here dear?”
Just as she spoke she smelt the smell of sweet coke “Someone’s high. It ain’t me. “ Hayley saw Lanie, and heard her word mistake. Hayleys mood swings got the better of her, and she lunged towered Lanie. Hayley tried to punch her face. “You idiot”

&&Lani -only the strongest can s.u.r.v.i.v.e-
&&Lani itched the top of her head looking around the room, but not taking in anything she saw. Hayley had gotten her to try a cigarette and then cocaine and when Lani wasn't high she wasn't sure what to think. Really she never thought about it, only now and then. Her eyes glued to Cody watching him play on the little blanket Hayley had spread out. Lani plopped down in a chair that was across from the couch Hayley was laying on and waved to them, like they were farther away then they were. The red haired girl knew who these people were, she knew Hayley, Chey, and Miranda... the drug hadn't effected her to much since she only took a little bit. Then Lani felt the sudden urge for something to eat so she slowly got up and stumbled backward back into her chair and started laughing in a weird way. Standing back she waddled over to the small cub board and reached for a snack bar but missed the first time. Getting frustrated Lani narrowed her eyes and said, "I want that stupid duck!" of course she meant bar, not duck, but know the drug was having more effect on her. Finally after a few more times she got her bar and stumbled back over to the chair sitting down in it more carefully. Pealing back the wrapper she attempted to put the snack bar into her mouth but missed smacking her chin with it. "Ow!" The red haired girl called out for a moment staring at the bar and started crying. Fake tears drizzled down her face and she through the bar across the room sending it into the wall. "Take that, duck!"
&&Lani looked pleased with herself then she glanced around the room and couldn't remember who any of these people were. "Ah! Don't hurt me!"She wasn't even trying to think anymore things just started popping through her mind which made her even more freaked out about everything that was surrounding her. Pushing backward scared to death of these people standing around her the chair flipped over taking Lani with it. She got up her eyes still wide but she had another mood swing and calmed down a little, not thinking about how they were strangers anymore. Walking over to another seat next to the girl with red hair and sat down and giggled at herself for falling over. Her mind was black and blank as she stared into a space that is until she heard Hayley call her an idiot. Lani whipped to face her which was even worse seeing a fist flying at her face. Since she was high her reflexes acted like they weren't even there. The girl tried to duck down but she wasn't even close to not getting hit. Her fist went right on her eye, making it turn a black purple color. Lani first shrieked and started crying letting a stream of tears fall down her cheeks, "Your a-a- meany girl!!!" Lani screamed in Hayley's face about an inch away but then had another mood set upon her. She started laughing so hard it hurt her ribs! The red haired girl finally had some sense knocked back into her though when she looked at Chey. Her eyes half closed trying to tell what was going on but not thinking about what she was doing once again.
&&Her red haired was like a rag since she hadn't brushed it out in days because she has been high the last couple mornings and was to tired to brush it at night. During the day she was out riding, the only time anything ever made sense to her. Rubbing her eyes like it was normal she stared at Hayley was big round eyes, that punch made her realize a few things she didn't realize before... it put her mind straight for a few seconds. "At least I'm not a slut!" She was still screaming everything she said not aware of how loud she was being. First Lani was going to jump on to Hayley but she had the sudden urge to do something else. her mind was all clouded and she felt confused turning around she saw Chey. Standing on top of the chair she leaped at Chey. Lani had no idea what she was doing...

Cheyenne >>and I'll take you for who you are, if you take me for e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g<< - - - - - - - - -
I was wide awake now, shocked at Hayley's sudden outburst. I didn't know what to say., I was speechless. But I had never known a rockstar, and this was much different than I had expected... she was, human. I suddenly realized that I cared about her as a friend... I never even thought of her as a rockstar... I shook my head, trying to clear my thought. Why was I so confused today? First dad, and then this... I tried to remain level headed, but I couldn't deny the fact that I wanted to just break down. I had so stay strong though, I mean, Hayley was going through so much more than me right now, who was I to be selfish? I watched in awe as she calmed herself and sat down, asking a casual question.
I stared blankly for a moment before answering, still shocked at what had just happened. "Oh, I just had to get away from home right now... I needed to clear my head" What else could I say? How could I pour out my petty troubles to her when she was like this? I watched as Lani walked in, noting her weird behavior... bugs? I let my gaze linger on her a moment before looking back to the couch where Hayley and another girl now sat. I heard Hayley's comment and followed her gaze, landing on Lani. My nose barely picked up the strong, almost sweet smelling odor. Hayley had gotten her into drugs? I felt mixed emotions raise up in me. Anger, disappointment, shock... I wasn't sure what I felt right now.
Before I could blink, Hayley had throw a punch at Lani. I wanted to scream, but my mouth just opened, no sound came out. I rushed over and grabbed Hayley by the arm, but not roughly; just enough to keep her from throwing another punch. The last thing we needed was a huge fight. I stepped back when I realized Lani was laughing, I was so confused, was this all a dream? I wanted to close my eyes and go to sleep, but I couldn't... I watched as Lani screamed at Hayley, braced to step in and stop the fight that might emerge, but I just watched in awe, wondering what would happen. Suddenly and without warning, Lani jumped at me. I managed to shriek, falling to the ground as I threw my hands up to shield my face. "Lani, what are you doing?!" I screamed, scared despite myself. She was high, and I didn't know what she was capable of...

Miranda >>Baby don’t look down, it’s a l.o.n.g w a y…<< It will find you at the bottom of a bottle It will find you at the needle’s end It will find you when you beg & steal & borrow It will follow you into a stranger’s bed It was like one of those stories where nothing ever goes right or a dream where your problems just keep coming after you. Miranda had fled her house seeking solace and found herself in the midst of a conflict that made her home life seem like peanuts. This was Pinewood, for goodness’ sakes! It was a small town—things like this weren’t supposed to happen here. Yet she listened to Hayley’s probably drunken ramblings and watched Lani stumble across the room, so stoned that she’d called them “bugs”. It made her want to sit down with Cody and cry. The smell of smoke from Lani’s clothes made her cough. At least Chey was here, red-eyed but sober. Miranda shot her a “can’t you please fix this” look and then glanced over at Lani, who was slamming something against the counter.
It will find when they serve you with the papers It will find you when the locks are changed again It will find you when you’ve called in all your favors It will meet you at the bridge’s highest ledge
Had Hayley asked her a question? Yeah, something about why she was here. That was a good question, and she couldn’t think of the answer. She coughed again. ||Why am I here?|| she asked. She was totally bewildered, for a moment she wondered if she’d gotten a high from the Pledge can she’d been using on the furniture. ||I don’t know,|| she said, coughing. She covered her mouth with a sleeve that still smelled like cleaning solution. Then she remembered Tanner’s angry face and the harsh words they’d exchanged. ||I had a fight with my brother,|| she said. Her breathing was getting raspy and her voice sounded hoarse, but she continued. ||I think I said I hated him,|| she sobbed. ||I don’t hate him.|| She was sobbing now but it didn’t seem like anyone was paying attention. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Hayley punch Lani and she shrieked and coughed as Chey grabbed the rock star’s arm. She had to lean over to catch her breath and when she stood back up again, she saw Lani leaping towards Chey. Miranda gave a shout of surprise and jumped up to try to restrain the younger girl. So baby don’t look down, it’s a long way The sun will come around to a new day||Chey, are you okay?|| she asked, releasing her grip on Lani with disgust and reaching out to offer the brunette a lift off the floor. She glared at the redhead, at the same time realizing that Lani probably wasn’t even cognizant. The thought of what the poor girl was doing to her brain cells made her features soften, pity replacing the anger than furrowed her brow. ||It’s okay, Lani,|| she said, coughing, much in the same tone she would use with an injured animal. For a moment she was worried that the drug-laden girl might turn on her, but then she dispelled her fears as she looked into Lani’s sad eyes. She looked at the fifteen-year-old girl with so many problems and she knew that she wanted to help. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words would come out, only that horrible, familiar wheezing. The cold air outside and the smoke from Lani's clothes were making her have another asthma attack. Miranda could feel her throat constricting again and she coughed, fighting to catch her breath. ||Oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no,|| she tried to say, but she could only mouth the words as her fingers moved to her throat. She turned to Chey with desperation in her eyes. ||Help me…||Hold on, ‘cause love will find you Hold on, it’s right behind you now Just turn around Love will find you Word count: 600-something Lyrics: "Hold on" by Nichole Nordeman

Cheyenne >>wake up to a sunny day, not a cloud up in the sky; and then it starts to rain... ---- I pushed Lani off, eying Miranda's outstretched hand. I noticed her tear streaked face, but I couldn't do anything about it. I took her hand, pulling myself up. I looked over to Lani and then to Hayley. What would they do next? I couldn't believe this is happening. Pinewood used to be my fortress, my safe haven. I pushed the selfish thought aside. This wasn't about me. I looked over to Miranda, about to say thank you, but then I noticed her wheezing and gasping for help. I rushed over, taking her gently by the shoulders. I started to panic, my eyes darting back and forth over her face, searching for an sign of an answer. "What's wrong?" I almost shouted, trying to keep the panic out of my tone. Suddenly it clicked. She had Asthma, that's why she was coughing. And I knew it was the because of the smell of drugs on Lani, wasn't it? I quickly dropped her shoulders and rushed over to her purse, shouting over my shoulder. "Do you have an inhaler? Miranda, do you have an inhaler?" I repeated, glancing at her quickly before grabbing up her purse and beginning to quickly sort through it. Suddenly my eyes caught the small white device. Taking up, I ran over to Miranda and handed it to her. "Is this it?" I asked, trying to slow my breathing. I hopped Lani and Hayley wouldn't give anymore trouble... it was the last thing an exhausted soul needed. ---- >>my defenses hit the ground and they shatter all around; so open and exposed... ((OOC: Sorry, it's kinnda short compared to your guy's xD))

& Lani & -building t.r.u.s.t, is building h.o.p.e-
&&Lani felt hands grip on her and pull her back making her fall to the ground when she had been leaping at Chey. What the?! The red haired girl thought whipping to face the girl who had grabbed her. First Lani wanted to cry but she didn't... instead she held her hands out and curled her fingers slightly like they were cat claws and made a hissing noise. "No one messes with the elephant!" She screamed on the top of her lungs giving herself a head ache, though that could also be a side effect from the drugs. She was still laying the ground seeing Chey had fallen to the ground already when Lani had lunged toward her and still Lani was on the ground from Miranda blocking her from landing on top of Chey.
&&A few seconds she stayed where she was to confused to move. Then carefully standing up she looked around and noticed some eyes on her but simply ignored it with a huge smile on her face like everything was just peachy. Walking a few steps away she almost fell back down feeling wobbly as she walked. Turning back toward Miranda she saw her holding her throat. "Oh, oh! I love charade's!!" Lani sounded like a pathetic little child, but of course how would she know that. "Your-your- a moose! Yeah! A big moose with feathers!" The young high girl exclaimed eyes getting wide then quickly lost interest and saw a counter with coffee on it. Lani licked her lips thinking it was hot chocolate and darted over going at a crocked pace.Lani poured some into a plastic bowl that was thankfully clean and started chugging it down like it was a beer drinking contest. When she's on drugs that already make her crazy and then she drinks a bowl full of cofee?... bad news... for you.
&&The red head dropped the bowl and let out a long burp having no idea what so ever of what was going on. For goodness sake! A girl in the same room as her was having an Asama attack and she stood their like a monkey. Lani looked around the room for a second and hopefully the coffee wouldn't kick in for another couple of minutes. Though... it did. Lani's eyes became wider then they already were and her pupils got twice the size they were and Lani just wanted to run... yeah, just run. Lifting her foot up she placed it back down and continued to do that a few more steps before she broke into a flat down run around the loft. The young girl started laughing so hard her optics started to water. Seeing the girl who was still having her hands to her throat she thought it would be fun to have a pig pile on her. Lani was so high at the moment she didn't realize that her hands were even at her throat, for all she knew her hands were tied behind her back.
&&First one foot left the ground then the other. Hands reached out she screamed, "raccoon pile!" even though she meant pig pile. Who knew when Lani was going to come to her senses... it was hard to tell. The only thing she did wrong though was she was trying to jump on Miranda from the other side of the room. Lani started ended up on the small coffee table and sat up stunned to be on the small table. Then the girl's mouth started to water for a cigarette. Quickly reaching into her pocket she found a camel cigarette and pulled the lighter out of her other pocket. Lani lit it and took a small drag not even looking around to see if anyone was giving her a funny expression.
