Sebastian Johnnys daddy was taking him fishin When he was eight years old A little girl came through the front gate holdin a fishing pole His dad looked down and smiled, said we cant leave her behind
Sebastian has his fair share of secrets he kept from Charlie too... There were the ones that weren't his place to tell. Like the fact that he'd seen his dad pick up hookers down on 6th street... And the ones he didn't want him to know like when he'd screwed Charlie's cousin Denise... 6 times... While she was here visiting Charlie's sick grandma for a week last summer. Or that he and Charlie's "girlfriend" Sadie have had many, frequent encounters... That was until he started going out with Chey... Sadie was not impressed. But those were the ways of this little trio of partiers. Best friends with very little flaws in their friendship... A few skeletons in the closet, but what did that matter to a ten year friend ship, right? Sebastian wasn't exactly a secret keeper, he kept really nothing from Chey.... Except for the fact that he was scared to commit to a long term relationship, and the fact that he was inesxplicably and irrevocably, in love with her with all his heart... But those don't really count, because truth be told, he's keeping those from himself... He just wont believe it. Son I know you dont want her to go but someday youll change your mind And johnny said take jimmy johnson, take tommy thompson, take my best friend bo Take anybody that you want as long as she dont go Take any boy in the world Daddy please dont take the girl
Sebastian stood up, getting tired of sitting, he stood beside Chey his fingers intertwined loosely with her own. He was in clear view of Charlie who was downing his sixth beer. He shot him a look that said 'Thats enough, I said no getting drunk'. That was one of Sebastian's talents, to convey any emotion with just a look. To make himself very very clear by just connecting with your eyes, Charlie knew exactly what Sebastian was telling him and he smirked, tilting his head back and finishing off half a beer in one gulp. Sebastians grip around Cheys hand tightened. He was pissed... And so was Charlie, but a different kind of pissed.... Sebastian was known to get irritable and well... go after girls, when he got drunk but Charlie got pretty crazy. like going after guys twice his size and irritating them, or startinf fights over nothing. He of course got a lot of girls when he was drunk, he may not be as charming as Sebastian Kings, but he was very good at grabbing girls, he thought he was a ladies man, but everyone knew it was the curly hair.... Charlie's face darkened and he jumped down and stood beside Sebastian on the ground. Sebastian placed a hand protectivley on Chey's thigh. Same old boy Same sweet girl Ten years down the road He held her tight and kissed her lips In front of the picture show Stranger came and pulled a gun Grabbed her by the arm said if you do what I tell you to, there wont be any harm Sebastian turned away from Charlie, looking at Chey, trying not to irritate Charlie in anyway, or there would be a fight. But Charlie spoke, his voice a near growl; You'd better hurry up and make it up to her... [/s] Sebastian stiffened, where was he going with this? or you wont get her into bed tonight...[/s] he finished. Sebastian's voice trencended into a low growl Shut up Charlie... but he didn't And with one like her...[/s] Sebastian could feel Charlie's eyes sizing Chey up. Shut it Charlie! Seb snapped, or I'll shut it for you he warned, his voice still and angry snarl. But again, Charlie didn't listen You'd be missing out on a lot too[/s]he finished, but no sooner had he said those words had Seb whirled around. Sebastian's left fist conected with Charlie's temple while his right wound up and punched him as hard as he could in the gut.... A sickening crack echoed in the valley....[/blockquote] And johnny said take my money, take my wallet, take my credit cards Heres the watch that my grandpa gave me Heres the key to my car Mister give it a whirl But please dont take the girl

Normally, when Charlie and Sebastian got into fights, they came out of it in pretty good shape. They were friends, and didn't have a death wish for one another. Sure they had to go to the hospital for stitches every now and then when they got into it, but never anything worse. They could both do much more damage if they wanted to, and they were both lucky that the other hadn't ever wanted to do more damage. Of course, Charlie was no stranger to injuries. He'd fractured more bones than he cared to remember by getting himself into fights with other guys who were normally bigger than him. Not to mention in training...if you made it through the whole thing without several nice injuries, you had to be invincible.
This time was different though. Charlie had crossed the line, he had made Sebastian inconsolably angry, and he was going to pay for it. Of course, if Sebastian had taken a moment to think about it before acting, he would realize that Charlie was drunk and that there had to be something going on with him that would make him get drunk so quickly and that maybe talking about it was all he really needed. But, Charlie had pissed him off, and they were both "heat of the moment" kind of guys. Meaning, react first, then think about it. When you were as mad as Sebastian was right there, rationality went out the window.
Sebastian's fist struck out before Charlie could blink an eye and slammed into his temple and the other into abdomen. The blow to the head he could take, he had a thick skull, literally. But the one to the gut…normally, these sorts of hits landed in the soft part of the gut where the ribs had ended, but Sebastian was just a tad off, and his knuckles smashed into Charlie's lower ribs. There were two cracks, much like that of breaking branches, as the bones gave way to the force Sebastian applied to them. Totally caught off guard by the whole thing, Charlie acted purely on instinctive impulse, and swung his fist up to make contact with Sebastian's nose. Despite having just broken two ribs, he could still hit pretty hard.
He stumbled back from Sebastian, Chey and Anthony, struggling to breathe and totally engrossed by pain. Add all of that on top of being drunk, and Charlie was going down. His body was shutting off so that it could reset itself since Charlie had messed it up so bad. His legs gave way, and he fell to his knees then slumped forwards into the grass, out cold. Charlie had really done it this time, poor drunk stressed out kid. What were they going to do to fix this problem? They couldn't very well take him to the hospital, he was totally intoxicated and he would be charged with an MIP or something like that...and he couldn't afford that being in the academy.
------------------------------------------------
Anthony heard the crack of the ribs, and winced. He knew all about those, they hurt like hell. He'd been stepped on by horses down in Mexico after being pushed off his mount, enough times to know exactly how it felt to have broken ribs. But the way Charlie's fist connected with Sebastian's nose...he was guessing that Seb would have a broken nose when all was said and done. Needless to say, he was slightly shocked. It wasn't usually that bad when the two of them got into it. What was up with Charlie? It was so unlike him to say something like that to Sebastian with malice, even when he was drunk. There had to be something else going on.
As Charlie's knees hit the ground and he fell forwards, Anthony walked over to him to see if he was alright. He'd seen him passed out from getting drunk more than enough times, but this was a bit different. Yeah, he was concerned about Sebastian and his nose too...but Charlie was the one lying face down in the grass, Sebastian was still standing. He grabbed Charlie's shoulders, and pushed him over so that he was lying on his back instead of his stomach, to make breathing a bit easier and less painful for him, even though he was basically totally unconscious. Anthony glanced up at Sebastian and Chey, and sighed, Now what? He asked, meaning of course, what were they going to do with Charlie, and what were they going to do to take care of Sebastian's nose. Charlie had taken it too far, and Anthony didn't blame Sebastian for punching him at all.
Heck, if it'd been Anthony, he might have done the same exact thing. They were all friends here, even if they didn't always get along perfectly, but best friends shouldn't be afraid to knock some sense into you when you need it most. Sebastian, he certainly wasn't afraid to do that, not afraid to do that at all. If he was, Charlie wouldn't by lying on the ground at that very moment. No doubt after all of this, they would all laugh about it, but currently, none of it was all that amusing. Even Anthony couldn't come up with something to say to make the mood less...tense than it was.
Oh Charlie, what were they going to do with him? He was such a trouble maker, a problem causer. He seemed so out of place at the police academy...and he was so young too. Most guys were just starting training at Charlie's age, while Charlie was just finishing...hopefully. It would be harder now though, to make it through, since his commander hated him, and Charlie would now have to attempt all the impossible tasks with two broken ribs. Ah well, he would make it through, even if Sebastian had just broken his ribs, he still had Seb's support in all of this...they never stayed mad at each other for long.

Chey's eyes ran over the valley, trying to tune everyone out. That was the best way to just let things slide. Ignorance was bliss right? She was a little startled as Seb slid over next to her and placed his arm around her shoulders, breaking her from her thoughts. "Whats wrong babe?" She almost scoffed, but managed to keep it in. If he was really stupid enough not to know why she was upset then he didn't deserve to know in her opinion. Plus talking about it would probably only make her more upset, setting back her resolve to at least try to enjoy herself. She didn't pull away from him as he hugged her though, obviously trying to cheer her up. But she didn't give any kind of response either. Silence was probably a smart move right about now... she definitely didn't want to say anything she would regret later.
Chey eyed him coolly from the corner of her eye as he cracked open a new of beer. Was he planning on getting drunk?? She had seen him drunk before, and it wasn't exactly pretty. She looked away from him as his eyes found hers. It was so hard to stay mad at him with that playful little grin her had, but for all she knew that could just be the beer working. Sure, two wasn't too bad... but in Chey's opinion 1 was too many. She heard his warning to Charlie and suddenly she was aware of how many cans Charlie had gone through already. This was making her very uncomfortable. "Feeling better beautiful?" She heard Sebastian ask her, his lips pressed to her head. She bit her lip, trying to force a small smile, but she was pretty sure it had come out more like a grimace. Maybe he would take a hint...
She repositioned herself in the truck as Seb got up, his fingers still locked with hers. Suddenly Charlie was right next to her, standing right in front of Sebastian and looking rather furious. A drunken rage you could say. Chey found herself learning closer to Seb's protective arm, stiffening as Charlie spoke, or rather growled. " You'd better hurry up and make it up to her, or you won't get her into bed tonight" Chey shot Charlie a furious sort of look, feeling her face grow hot. How dare he! But Seb's words cut off her thoughts. "Shut up Charlie..." Chey could tell from the tone of his voice that he was pissed... Great, she could feel yet another fight coming on where she was in the middle... that was the last thing she wanted. And then Charlie was speaking again, his eyes running up and down Chey and making her very uncomfortable. "And with one like her..." Chey eyes him carefully, almost daring him to continue. Where was he going with this? Sebastian obviously wasn't going to allow it. Chey could tell he was already about to snap "Shut it Charlie! Or I'll shut it for you" He threatened.
Chey flinched as Charlie finished his sentence. "You'd be missing out on a lot too" Before Chey could even react Seb had already spun around and planted his fist right into Charlie's temple, the other fist flying into his guy. Chey let a strangled sort of scream escape her mouth, jumping up from where she sat, as a sickening crack seemed to echo through the valley. Charlie slumped over, still able to get one good swing at Smurf before stumbling back, struggling for breath. She could see the pain etched into his face, and then he fell to the ground, unconscious. Chey stood frozen for one second before rushing to his side, hardly aware that Anthony was already there. "Now what?" He seemed to calm about it, Chey lifted her horrified eyes up to Seb and Anthony, unable to find words. They had to get him to a hospital right? then she was reminded that he was going into the police academy, and if they found him drunk... Chey's gaze flickered back from Seb to Anthony to Charlie and back up to Seb, waiting for someone to answer. They couldn't just stay here and do nothing!

Sebastian At the ripe old age of nineteen i bought a short bed pick up chicks machine life ran on beer and gasoline a half a lap ahead of the law i had a fake i d that got me into "tuffies" love was a word i used to get lucky was a big time spender with that plastic money back when i knew it all On his way back, staggering from the velocity of Sebastians jab to the ribs, Charlie managed to catch him in the nose, with quite a bit of force I might add. Sebastian heard the sickening crack of his nose breaking... His hands instictivly covered it and came away stained with blood, a lot of blood. It didn't faze Sebastian... C.ocksucker broke my nose... again... he muttered. Yes again, Charlie had broken Sebastian's nose once before... And on top of that he'd had it broke on two other occaisons. Yes, this was the fourth time Sebastian's poor nose had been bent out of shape... But as you can imagine, he was pretty well accustomed to dealing with it... He ripped off his shirt quickly and painlessly as possible, revealing a very chiseled and defined chest and abs. Sebastian was not bothering to think whether it was a decent shirt or a barn shirt, the adrenaline had shut off his brain, thinking was not his speciality at times like these. He covered his still profusely bleeding nose with the grey cotton. Once it had almost stopped bleeding Sebastian walked behind the truck, he imagined that him re-breaking his nose back into place would be disturbing to some viewers... Another gut-wrenching crack and quite a few words that need not be mentioned later, Sebastian returned. Blood stained shirt in hand and his face covered in smears of bright red blood. Back when the world was flat and mama and daddy didn't have a clue that was back back when a pitcher of beer and a couple shots made me bulletproof back when god was a name i used in vain to get a point across when i got ticked off Lord i'm learning so much more than back when i knew it all Sebastian's heart was still pounding in his ears as he came back to the truck. The pain in his nose was killing him. He looked over at Charlie, Anthony and Chey. Now what? [/s] Anthony asked, apparently about as phased as Sebastian was about all of this. Chey looked horrified. Sebastian couldn't help but smile Don't look so worried, We'll both be fine he said making his way over to them in no hurry. He's passed out because he's drunk... I didn't hit him, that hard in the head... he rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down at Charlie at least I don't think I did... He turned around and strided towards the truck, grabbing his half a beer and bringing it back over... He would have drank it if he didn't need it for something else. He walked over to where Charlie's head lay on the grass and smirked. He held his arm out and tipped the can, letting the bubbly liquid pour out and splash on Charlie's bruised up face... He's really taken a beating today... And those ribs didn't look good... But he would wake up now... [/blockquote] I've done some growing up and i'm still growing up so i know i'll never be as smart as i once was that was back... Sebastian emptied out the can on Charlie's face and smirked. He'll be awake any second now... What we're gonna do with him then, I don't know... He said getting up and walking away a few steps. He turned back. Chey. Get away from him before he wakes up, I don't know how he's going to be when he comes to... he trailed off. Let Speed deal with him he said with a nod to Anthony. Anthony was the best at calming Charlie down, Sebastian was normally pretty good, but in this state it wasn't likely Charlie would be very happy with him. Sebastian was almost shaking with need for a cigarette after the stress of the day. He flicked open his lighter and the blue flame sparked. He drew smoke into his lungs and after a few seconds, let it seep out between his clenched teeth. After a few drags Sebastian's body finally relaxed out of it's rigid state. He sighed, his back and neck were killing him, his fists were bleeding from all the hitting he'd been doing. His nose was throbbing as all the blood rushed to it, preparing for a bitch if a bruise, and he was sure the kick to the gut he'd taken had caused some interal bleeding. He'd be fine... But it sure hurt like hell now... Back when the world was flat and mama and daddy didn't have a clue that was back back when a pitcher of beer and a couple shots made me bulletproof back when god was a name i used in vain to get a point across when i got ticked off Lord i'm learning so much more than back when i knew it all

Currently, Anthony was the only one out there not in immense pain or really ticked off. It was a miracle...not the ticked off part, but the hurt part. It was a very rare occasion indeed when Anthony went more than a week without hurting himself, and being as against doctors as he was...he never went to the hospital for them. They called him Speed...but at times a more appropriate nickname would be thingyroach. He just wouldn't die...of course, he didn't get beat up by people all that often, considering Sebastian and Charlie were the only ones he ever spent more than ten seconds at a time with, and they never really beat him up. Punched him a few times when his humorous "smart ass" mentality landed him in trouble...but never really beat up.
Although, it could be considered getting beat up by all the grief he took on the track. He'd had his jockey's license for a year now, but all of the other jockeys were far more seasoned than he was, making him the "bug." Because of that he did get pushed around a bit. Of course, he never said a word about it to Sebastian and Charlie because he knew there was no point...it would just be one more thing they could make fun of him for. What was the biggest thing they made fun of him for? Well, there were a lot. He was incredibly short...only 5'4" making a lot of girls taller than him, and he wasn't getting any taller ever. He had a Spanish accent, but looked totally American. His first name was Italian, and his last name was Hungarian. He still had the "V-card" while Charlie and Sebastian had disposed of theirs a long long time ago. He never finished first grade, and was basically terrible at any sort of stuff that you were supposed to learn in school. The list goes on, but I won't bore you with it.
Sebastian was right, they would be fine...Seb more so than Charlie, but they would be fine. Broken ribs wouldn't kill him. Heck, if broken ribs killed, Anthony would have never set foot in the United States, because he'd have been dead a long time before he even had a chance to think about it. Sebastian was also right in stepping away from Charlie after pouring the beer on his face and telling Chey to get away from him too. There was really no telling what he might do. Sometimes when he got drunk he'd forget everything, but sometimes he would remember and come to just as angry as he was before.
Anthony remained crouched down by Charlie, waiting for him to come to. It wouldn't be long now. Although Anthony may not have looked worried, he really was. Not about the injuries, or the fact that Charlie had just passed out from being drunk and in pain...but he was worried about him because he knew there was a reason he was drunk. It might sound crazy, but usually Charlie took his time in getting drunk, but today...it hardly took more than ten minutes. He'd downed those beers pretty quick too. Anthony was fairly sure that something was wrong to cause him to do that...and yeah, he was concerned...like any good friend who realized that would be too.
-----------------------------------------------
Passing out like that was a fairly normal thing for Charlie. He and Sebastian got themselves drunk all the time, and usually the both of them ended up passed out eventually. It wasn't the first time, and most likely wouldn't be the last. In a way, you could say passing out was a good thing...you didn't feel the pain, and you didn't do anything stupid that would get you into bigger trouble than you already were for drinking in the first place. At least...that was the way it worked for Charlie. He rarely got into the whole one night stand thing unless he was drunk. Sure, maybe he would "date" a girl for a week when he was sober...but the one night stands...it took getting him drunk to get one of those going. So if he passed out, that was avoided.
Suddenly, Charlie was dragged out of the world of nothingness by a cool liquid splashing down his face. The moment that happened, he remembered the pain...but not what it was from. He stirred slightly, and his senses started to come back to him. First his mind...wondering what on earth had happened...started functioning again, racing through all the possibilities as to why he was lying on the ground. Then the nerves, a roaring head ache, aching jaw, sore back, and slightly aching ribs...okay, so he must have gotten in a fight again...but why? He knew he'd fought those three guys with Sebastian...but he was pretty sure that hadn't been why he was passed out. Damn...that meant he'd gone and gotten himself drunk and must've passed out. Way to make a good impression on Chey.
He cracked his eyes open, winced and slowly brought his hand up to his head so shade his eyes from the light. That hurt like hell right there. He started to push himself up into a sitting position, but quickly changed his mind when terrible sickening pain charged up through his body from his ribs. He felt them shift beneath the skin, and knew they were broken. He hadn't ever broken his ribs before, but he'd broken plenty of other bones and knew better than to try to move unless he wanted to pass out again. He might not have a ton of common sense mixed in with the genius, but he had enough to know that much.
It took a moment for everything to come into focus again, but when it did, he could see Anthony crouched down next to him, and Sebastian and Chey standing a little distance from him. Now, most people in this situation would ask what happened...but Charlie knew better than that. Sebastian, Anthony and Chey were the only ones around...Chey couldn't ever hit hard enough to break a man's ribs...Anthony, he just wouldn't break a man's ribs, and that left only Sebastian. Since they didn't hate each other, Charlie knew instantly that he'd done something to piss Sebastian off really bad and that was how he got the broken ribs.
What'd I do? He asked painfully, squinting up at them. He didn't want to just lay there anymore and feel like a fool, so he slowly and carefully pushed himself into a sitting position, gritting his teeth against the pain the action caused. From the blood on Sebastian's face, he was guessing that he'd gotten a pretty good hit in there before he went down...maybe even broke his nose...again. Ah well, you couldn't hit Charlie Parker and not expect to get hurt somehow. His first reaction to pain was always to cause whatever had caused his pain some pain of their own. Being in the academy, training as a policeman, only increased that instinct. Sebastian probably knew that too...and if he didn't, well he sure did now.

Sebastian Three feet tall, five years old Starin' down to the bottom of Mountain Top road, Hands wrapped tight around those plastic handle grips I took off flying pickin' up speed The world was a blur of rocks and weeds It was all worth the pain of landing Getting my first three stitches Everyone said that I shouldn't do it Cut and bruised but I got through it I still got the scars to prove it Sebastian took Chey's hand as they headed back towards the truck. He pulled her close to him and touched his forehead to hers... His neck craned, looking down in her eyes and he whispered softly I'm sorry... he told her sincerly. He was truely sorry to scare her, bt if he'd have done it over he wouldn't have changed a thing. Charlie deserved what he got. Sebastian hesitated, but kissed her cheek with a feather light touch, lingering for a while before he slowly pulled away, all the while keeping his eyes locked warily on her. Yeah, Sebastian was putting the "sweet" stuff on her and layering it thick. But he didn;t exactly know how to fix this... Suddenly his head snapped in the direction of Charlie. he was struggling to get up. Sebastian's expression was hard. He was still pretty pissed at Charlie, but it would blow over quickly. Charlie finally eased himself into a sitting position and spoke in a quiet tone What'd I do? [/s] his voice was edged with pain and Sebastian softened slightly. Maybe he hit him a little too hard? [/blockquote] Life's like a big wheel keeps on turning Time runs away, every day I'm learning To roll with the punches, follow my hunches Loving the way it feels Just to be alive Getting the chance to ride on the big wheel As for Charlie's question Sebastian didn't even have to think about his answer. Oh you just proved you're incapable of holding your liquor, even around a lady. Sebastian's voice was sharp, stern but not angry. He walked forward and helped Charlie up. Speed? A little help here? he asked as he got Charlie to his feet. He'd need Anthony on the other side of him to help him to the back of the truck. Once they got there Sebastian glanced at Anthony. Definatly no more beer for him... he ordered, as if he needed to... Running a hand through his short hair Sebastian turned back to Chey. He looked over at the boys then back at her. Charlie could wait for a minute before they went home... He needed to talk to Chey. He needed to make things right with her... Even if it was on Charlie's expense. He owed him one anyway. He turned to Anthony, whom he knew would understand... He just would... I'll... I'll be right back... Dont let him move... Got it? he asked, his voice quiet but still a force to be reckoned with. I'm takin my share of dead end curves Had to steady my nerves and steal my courage Had a lot of hard landings but I ain't hanging up my wings Yeah I'm still rippin' down that hill Still hanging on with all my will Lookin' back now I still Wouldn't change a thing I've had a few lovers leave their mark I've broken my pride and I've broken my heart But I'm gonna live my life before it all goes dark
Sebastian turned back to Chey and walked towards her. His heartbeat quickened What the... This was wierd... Seb tried to ignore it and carried on, reaching Chey... Can I uh.. talk to you? he asked almost cautiously. Sebastian took Chey's hand adn walked down the slight embankment to a big oak tree. He leaned against it and began Im sorry... I'm sorry for being stupid and thinking I could get away with a day with all of my favourite people... But your not like other girls... You're definatly not the type I usually date... that sounded weird becasue Sebastian dated all types. Namely because you don't have a type... You're different... Unique... And I... I just don't know how to play you I guess. Sebastian chuckled nervously he could prbably 'play her' better than he thought but so far his charms had not been working very well... Will you... Can you forgive me? I can make it up to you... I can... Why don't we go back to my place? We can hang out there for a bit? Unless you want to go out... In which case we would do that and uh... Sorry I'm rambling.. I just... I want this to work out... between us... Even if I have to work a bit harder to do it... Life's like a big wheel keeps on turning Time runs away, every day I'm learning To roll with the punches, follow my hunches Loving the way it feels Just to be alive Getting the chance to ride on the big wheel

Charlie could tell that Sebastian was still mad at him when he responded and walked over. He felt really bad for whatever it was that he'd done...since Sebastian's answer didn't really tell him what he'd done. He wanted to apologize, but now didn't seem like the right time. If he apologized now, he would just get the whatever response, and Sebastian would still be mad at him. They knew each other all too well...which was to be expected for two guys who lived together in the same house and had known each other since they were kids. He sighed slightly, and turned his gaze down to the ground, feeling slightly uncomfortable with all eyes on him.
Then Sebastian was next to him pulling him up onto his feet. Pain swamped his bruised body, and he would have probably doubled over if it weren't for Sebastian holding onto him. He was in such pain that he didn't even hear Sebastian ask Anthony to come over and help him. His teeth were gritted tightly together to keep from groaning in pain, which would only demoralize him more than he already had been. It was hard for someone as arrogant and hot headed as Charlie to wake up lying in the grass in excruciating pain and struggling to breathe. It meant he'd been beaten...someone was better than he was. It was nearly humiliating.
Every step he took towards the truck made him feel more and more sick. It wasn't the alcohol either. No, Charlie couldn't remember the last time alcohol had made him sick. It was 100% the pain he was feeling that was making him want to be sick. It took all of his will power to keep it down. In the meantime, he was sort of almost holding his breath, to keep the ribs from moving any more than they already were. He could feel the broken edges of the bones grinding against each other, it was a terrible feeling. Bone pain was the worst pain there was, especially in the ribs since any movement you make will slightly adjust their positioning.
It seemed like forever before they closed the distance between them and the truck, and Charlie was incredibly grateful that they were finally there, and he wouldn't have to keep walking. Anthony helped him up into the back of the truck, and he leaned his back against the side of the truck bed. Needless to say, he was pretty miserable now. He felt sick, he was in incredible pain, and all of his problems were still very much on his mind...not to mention he now felt bad for whatever he did to make Sebastian so mad. He wished he had just told him what he'd done so he could apologize better for it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Anthony was glad that Charlie wasn't angry...although he had assumed that he wouldn't be. He glanced over to Sebastian as he answered Charlie's question. They would probably work this out later at home. Sebastian was obviously still pretty upset about it, and the two of them would probably end up arguing about it later. Charlie would say he was sorry. Sebastian would say he'd told Charlie not to get drunk when Chey was around. Charlie would say something along the lines of I couldn't help it. Sebastian would come back and say that he should have tried harder. Charlie would start to get frustrated and apologize again but a little irritably. Sebastian would have some sort of smart ass come back. Charlie would say Sebastian had no idea what he was going through right now. Then Sebastian would ask him what was going on, and Charlie would list off everything that was stressing him out. Sebastian would say that Charlie should have told him, and Charlie would say he didn't want to burden Sebastian with his problems. Then they would both go to bed on good terms.
Yes, this happened quite regularly, and yes, Anthony was always filled in later. But still, Anthony was worried about Charlie. He was a pretty calm person most of the time, self controlled and level headed. Sure, he got into fights all the time, beat people up and got beat up himself, but he was always very relaxed about it. He almost never looked like he was stressed or even worried about anything. He had an incredibly cool countenance and it was rare when you would get him to look anything other than completely at ease with absolutely everything going on around him. But now…now he looked stressed, and had obviously lost some self control back there.
Anthony stood up and went to Charlie’s other side as Sebastian requested, without even so much as a word. He was thinking…and as everyone knew, Anthony was not any good at multi tasking. He’d been trained to have a one track mind for racing. Once you got out there on the track, you had to focus on only one thing…the race. That state of mind required complete concentration on that one thing; you couldn’t even consider anything else. It didn’t matter if you were about to get married…you couldn’t think about your fiancé. It didn’t matter if your wife was pregnant and due to have the baby any day now, you couldn’t think about that either. It didn’t matter if you had terminal cancer, you couldn’t think about dying. The only thing that could enter your mind was the horse underneath you and the horses all around you battling for the lead.
That reflected in his regular everyday life too. Randomly, in the middle of a conversation, he would get this sort of distant look in his eye, and you would know he wasn’t hearing anything you were saying. Sebastian and Charlie usually took advantage of those moments, and would get his attention back in the most abrupt way possible, just so they could startle him out of his thoughts. If there was something about Anthony that you could make fun of or take advantage of, you could bet Charlie and Sebastian already had. He took it all well though, and never let it bother him…he was used to it by now.
Anthony nodded when Sebastian told him to not let Charlie drink anything more, even though they both knew Charlie wouldn’t drink anymore by his own choice. He was miserable enough as it was, he wouldn’t go making it worse. Although Anthony hadn’t ever had any relationships with a girl at this point in his life, he did understand when Sebastian said he would be right back. He knew exactly what he meant. Even if Sebastian and Charlie did their best to make him miserable, Anthony was still very understanding…because he knew they would be too when it came his turn to run into these issues.
He glanced over at Charlie when Sebastian left, concern etched on his face. You okay Charlie? He asked, no response. Stupid question…of course he wasn’t okay…he’d just had two ribs broken, was drunk as…well…he was drunk…and obviously had something going on that he wasn’t telling them about. What’s going on with you man? He asked, trying again. Charlie had seemed in such a light mood earlier…he would like to know what had changed it so suddenly. Maybe the neat of the moment and the adrenaline had distracted him from whatever it was for a moment or two, and once they got out here in the quiet of the valley it wore off and everything came back to him again. Well, whatever it was, it was obviously bothering him now, and Anthony was just trying to be a good friend and get Charlie to open up…so far, it wasn’t working.

Chey looked up as Seb mentioned Charlie breaking his nose but looked away quickly as her face drained of color, unable to stand the sight of the blood... or the sound of the sickening crack as he went back behind the truck to... put it back in place. She shuttered, suddenly feeling very sick. "Don't look so worried, We'll both be fine. Chey didn't open her eyes as he came back, trying to regain her composure. That last thing they needed was two people passed out. "He's passed out because he's drunk... I didn't hit him, that hard in the head... at least I don't think I did..." Chey opened her eyes, over her momentary sickness. She bit her lip, unconvinced, as she looked at Charlie's still body laying in the grass. But what were they going to do with him? Even if it was just the alcohol, he still wasn't looking too great...
And then Seb got that look in his eye... she watched suspiciously as he walked back around to the truck. Chey's mouth fell open as he came back, beer in hand and a small smile on his expression. How dare he drink another beer while his best friend, whom he had knocked out, was laying unconscious?? But then she saw what he was doing. It made sense, but he didn't have to get so much enjoyment out of it... The strong bubbly liquid splashed out onto Charlie's still face as Seb smirked, obviously enjoying himself. Chey rolled her eyes, but stood up watching closely for any sign of movement. "He'll be awake any second now... What we're gonna do with him then, I don't know..." Chey sighed, still waiting for him to get up. "Chey. Get away from him before he wakes up, I don't know how he's going to be when he comes to... Let Speed deal with him" She bit her lip, then turned to follow Seb.
She felt his hand find hers as they walked to the other side of the truck, and then he pulled her close, touching his forehead to hers. She tried not to show any emotion, just closing her eyes and sighing, feeling the wear and tear of all the stress. Great, always like her to stress out. She almost envied how Seb and Anthony could be so cool about everything... "I'm sorry..." She heard Seb say, making her open her eyes to meet his gaze and instantly saw the sincerity there. She almost regretted making him feel bad in the first place as his lips brushed her cheek ever so lightly. "Don't-" She was about to say, but Charlie's words interrupted her sentence. So he had waken up. Chey let a sigh of relief slip from her lips. "What'd I do?" He asked, obviously in pain. Chey gave him a sympathetic look, resisting the urge to shoot a look at Sebastian too... he really didn't need to hit him so hard. Of course Charlie probably did deserve it, she reasoned... but still.
"Oh you just proved you're incapable of holding your liquor, even around a lady" Seb answered coldly, but keeping his lingering anger in check. Chey was glad Seb was going easy on him anyway, as Charlie obviously didn't know what he was saying when he had said it. She let go of Seb's hand as he went over to help him up. She found it odd that one second they could be beating each other up, then the next just turn around and help them out. She would probably never get these three... She stood back, feeling rather helpless as the guys picked him up, with obvious pain from Charlie, and got him into the back of the truck. And then she noticed Seb was struggling with something. It was clear on his face, and the way he ran his hand through his hair... and then his eyes met with Chey's. "I'll... I'll be right back... Dont let him move... Got it?" He instructed softly as he moved towards her. Chey took a deep breath.
"Can I uh.. talk to you?" He asked, his voice strangely guarded... scared? Chey nodded silently and took his hand, following him to a huge oak tree. "Im sorry... " He started again, and Chey felt another twinge of guilt, although she really wasn't sure why. She couldn't even concentrate long enough to remember why she was ever mad at him in the first place. But then she remembered. It seemed sort of silly now... strange how he always seemed to keep her sane. Maybe they both kept each other sane... Her attention was brought back to Seb as he spoke again, sincerity drenching his words. "I'm sorry for being stupid and thinking I could get away with a day with all of my favourite people..." She cringed again. "But your not like other girls... You're definatly not the type I usually date..." Chey's brow furrowed slightly, finding it oddly flattering... in a way. "Namely because you don't have a type... You're different... Unique... And I... I just don't know how to play you I guess" Chey found herself a little confused. 'Play her?'. She flinched. Like she was some sort of game...
But that thought was quickly diminished as he laughed quietly. She knew he was being sincere about all of this, and obviously even a little scared. "Will you... Can you forgive me? I can make it up to you... I can... Why don't we go back to my place? We can hang out there for a bit? Unless you want to go out... In which case we would do that and uh... Sorry I'm rambling.. I just... I want this to work out... between us... Even if I have to work a bit harder to do it..." Chey listened, a little surprised, at his little ramble before silencing it by suddenly pressing her lips to his. She took a step closer to him and threw herself into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning against him as she ran her fingers through his hair. It was ridiculous, not to mention nearly impossible, to stay mad at him. She let the moment linger as long as she could, then pulled away with a small smile settled on her lips. "You're forgiven" she murmured, another smirk slipping across her face as she touched her lips to his again...

Sebastian My baby knows me better than I do Funny how a woman has that over a man I can do anything with her here beside me Leaning on her is where I make my stand Sebastian's pulse was still rapid and loud in his ears as he finished speaking. He had pulled the sweet card and it appeared to be working as he saw the slow smile spread on Chey's beautiful face. Sebastian was pleasantly suprised, more like pleasantly stunned as he felt Chey's velvet lip press softly against his own. Their kisses were electric, explosive, on fire all at once. Sebastian was shocked by it everytime they touched. It was electrifying, empowering and yet so very terrifying. Sebastian was sure there was nothing like it, anywhere in the world. What was so different about this girl? Alot actually, Chey had more self preserverance than any other girl Sebastian had met. Her self control was truely admirable, she could resist almost anything, the exception being Sebastian of course. Chey had pride and dignity without being haughty and vain. She was everything good, everything pure.... Sebastian froze, almost everything pure. He gulped as she pulled away, a smile on her face. Sebastian blinked, he ruined her perfect record... He had stolen her... her purity... Not that it mattered to him... But did it matter to her? Where would we be without the love of a woman Standing behind her man even when he's wrong The true pure undying love of a woman Makes a man a fool to think he can make it alone But Sebastian's thought drained from his head as he looked into her sparkling eyes. A slow, stupid grin spread across his face as her hands ran through his cropped short hair, her slender arms around him prevented him from even thinking clearly. Her scent was intoxicating. She broke away again and this time her smiling lips spoke, You're forgiven [/s] she cooed. Sebastian's eyes twinkled and his grin widened as she came back for more. He was at a loss for a witty remark so he settled for a low murmur, Mmmm he half-moaned through her lips. His muscular arm wrapped around her torso, low on her hips, his hand resting in the back pocket of her jeans. Sebastian's teeth pulled at her bottom lip gently, but possesivly. His other hand held her head, his fingers tangling themsleves in her chocolate locks. Breaking away for half a breath he murmured Oh he joined her lips again. My his lips carressed her jawline before breaking away once more God The current running between the two was unreal. Sebastian was overwhelmed by the feeling of jst being with her, he forgot all about Charlie and Anthony sitting just a few feet off. They could probably see the two of them sucking face, but did Sebastian seem like the modest type? I thought not... [/blockquote] A man goes crazy trying to catch his feelings Too much pride or maybe the words come out wrong But that's okay 'cause he's still her hero Steady as a rock, her love keeps rolling along Sebastian trailed sweet and sensual kisses down Chey's jaw and to her neck. He lingered in the crook of her neck, dragging his teeth against her baby soft skin gently. He left a hickey in his wake and traveled back up her neck to her cheek and from there he nibbled his way back to her lips. Sebastian's hand trailed up and down her side, bringing her shirt with it, exposing just a bit of her toned abdomen. His lips left hers unvolentarily and he grinned stupidly Wow Sebastian mumbled without thinking. He stole two more sweet kisses before running his hand through his hair and offering Chey a sideways grin... I think maybe the boys have had enough of watching us make out he said with a quiet laugh. He pressed his lips to her forehead affectionatly and took her hand. Walking back to the truck slowly, Sebastian looked over at Chey and grinned, looking back at the sunset. He had to get Charlie home and rested. They arrived back at the truck and he looked at Charlie, who was't looking so hot shit. Okay, Anthony, looks like you're riing solo... Lets get this clown in the cab he said, his grin only fading slightly. Sebastian, with the help of Speed, slowly manuvered Charlie into the passenger seat. It would be pretty crowded in the cab but they'd survive... Where would we be without the love of a woman Standing behind her man even when he's wrong The true pure undying love of a woman Makes a man a fool to think he can make it alone

After a few more futile attempts at getting Charlie to talk, Anthony gave up. It was all in vain anyways. Charlie had gone silent and from the looks of things, he wouldn't be saying anything any time soon. Anthony sighed and stared out across the valley, losing himself in his thoughts. He leaned against the truck as that distant and "I hear nothing you are saying right now" look came over his face. Talk about a day gone bad. They had all come out here to have some fun and just hang out for a while after their most recent near death experience. But Charlie just had to go and get himself drunk...and make Sebastian mad...and...well, you know the rest of the story.
It was funny really, how well these three got along. I mean really, if you looked at them, they were about the funniest group of guy friends in the whole world. They had so many differences that you could almost say that they were totally unalike. But at the same time they had so many similarities, they were practically the same person. Sure, none of them looked anything alike, except for Charlie and Sebastian being about the same height as each other. But they all acted so much alike that they could almost be mistaken for brothers...if Anthony didn't have that pronounced Spanish accent of his.
Sebastian was the oldest, two years a senior over Anthony and Charlie. He, like most guys, was more brawn than brain, but he got on just fine. Of course, a little bribery of the teaches and talking Charlie into practically doing his homework for him hadn't hurt him any during their high school years. He was incredibly intense in everything he did. Eventing, he was obviously going to great heights in that area. His pursuit of women...well, we won't go into details, but if we even just looked at the list of all the girls he'd charmed with that ridiculous stupid smile of his...well, we'd all be rather impressed. Anything he put his mind to, he could do, and do it well. Usually he did it better than most people too. And we wonder why he is so full of himself?
Then there was Charlie, he was a lot like Sebastian in some ways, but very unlike him in others. Anthony could see it now. All the parents bragging that "at 11 months Johnny said his first word-daddy" then Charlie's mom chimes in saying Charlie's first word was something like pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism. Okay, so that was an exaggeration, but Charlie was a pretty smart kid. He had the brawn factor in there too though. He'd downed two of those three guys pretty easily earlier there today, and Anthony was no stranger to Charlie's strength...he'd been the victim a time or two. So Charlie was an impressive combination of brains and brawn.
Then last but certainly...or so I hope..not least, was Anthony. He was kind of the odd one out of the bunch. He didn't really fit into any stereotype...at all. Anthony was his own stereotype all on his own. I mean really...he was Mexican...but you couldn't re racist against him because he was Caucasian and looked totally American. His last name was Hungarian...but his first was Italian. He had an incredibly strong Spanish accent, but technically had always been a legal resident of the United States. He never even finished first grade, and hadn't even had so much as a girlfriend at this point in his life. He never got into fights, he was level headed, completely calm, impossible to irritate, and incredibly laid back. Yes, he was the odd one out.
He glanced over towards Sebastian and Chey briefly, and instantly regretted it. They were in the middle of making out...still. He shook his head and looked back out across the valley again. They sure had a lot of fond memories out here...and most of them Anthony wouldn't trade for anything...well, maybe this one he would trade for something else, considering Charlie was totally miserable next to him, which sort of put a damper on this memory...although Anthony and Sebastian would probably make fun of him for this incident until the day he died...they had a lot of those sorts of things on each other.
---------------------------------------------------
Charlie heard Anthony's questions, but didn't say a word. Even if he had, it would have just been "I don't want to talk about it" so saying anything would have been totally pointless, not to mention painful. At that moment, all he wanted to do was go home and sleep...if that was even possible for how much pain he was in. He knew that the pain was only going to get worse, but he didn't care, he just wanted to get home. Sebastian really hadn't needed to say anything about the drinking, Charlie wasn't really all that stupid...the drinking had gotten him into this mess and it wasn't going to get him out again.
Charlie was facing in the direction that Chey and Sebastian had walked off, but he didn't even notice them. His eyes were glued to the ground, and it was quite obvious that he was internally shooting himself. His expression was a combination of pain, anger at himself, and feeling sick. Almost all of the color had drained from his face, and he looked totally exhausted like he'd been working non stop all day without even so much as a pause for a drink of water. Of course, the fact that his curly brown hair was sort of still wet from the beer Sebastian had poured on his face only added to the look of exhaustion since that was generally what his hair looked like when he was all sweaty.
Every breath he took hurt like none other, making for difficult breathing. He was just so mad at himself, he couldn't get over it. Next thing he knew, Sebastian was back at his side, saying something. He only caught the clown part of it though, and he wasn't at all amused. It wasn't like he was planning on getting his ribs broken by his best friend. Then Suddenly Anthony was on one side of him, Sebastian on the other, and they were moving him towards the cab of the truck. He was totally out of it by now, he was in so much pain, that he was numb. He didn't even feel it anymore it hurt so bad.
They got him into the passenger seat, and he didn't even move. He felt like he didn't have any energy or strength left in him. Misery was certainly the definition of how Charlie was feeling. Had he learned his lesson? Would he stop drinking, or at least getting drunk? Oh heck no...it wouldn't be long before he and Sebastian were out laughing and having a good time drinking and getting drunk. It would take more than broken ribs to drag Charlie down and force him to give up alcohol. Currently though, he looked like he was about to slip into that unconscious sleep that generally comes after some sort of traumatic injury like the one he had just sustained.
-----------------------------------------------
After helping Sebastian get Charlie into the cab, Anthony went around back, and lifted both of the coolers into the pickup bed, then got in himself, and settled in for the ride home. It had been a long day...and oh guess what...he still had evening works to do on the horses he was currently riding. Lovely. Maybe he could talk the trainer into giving him the evening off...Ha! That would be the day! The only time Anthony was ever going to get a whole evening off was when he worked for himself and had hurt himself so many times that he literally couldn't get up on a horse. That was a long ways off though, so he didn't need to worry about a thing.

C.heyenne }}
There was something about Sebastian that drew Chey to him with all the love in her heart. It was unreal actually. They were really almost complete opposites. Everyone told her that Seb was bad news, but every time he looked at her... it was indescribable. Like being under a spell. Her heart would always pick up and her stomach would flutter like a hundred butterflies. She had never experienced anything like it before. The first time he laughed she somehow just knew that he was who she wanted to be with... forever. Sure, that was pretty deep, but she hoped he felt the same way. She had never loved anyone like she loved Seb. Ever. Everything about him was perfect to her, even his imperfections. She loved that stupid little grin of his, the way he smirked, laughed, that twinkle in his eye, the way he ran his hand through his hair when he was nervous...
Chey lost all focus as he kissed back, throwing as much electricity and passion into it as she had. She forgot all about Charlie, and Anthony, and being upset with him. She didn't even know where they were, nor did she care. The feeling of his lips against hers, moving in synchronization, was amazing; the sensation so powerful... it was confusing, yet so right all at once. There were really no words that could describe it. But no words were even needed as she started into his bright, smiling face. Her heartbeat quickened as he pulled her even closer, his arms wrapped around her waist and resting in her jean pockets, until they were pressed against each other. She could feel the heat from his bare chest against her own body. His lips pulled at hers and she closed her eyes, letting him take her over. She didn't even have control of her actions anymore, it was all purely instincts I guess you could say. Either that or submission. She knew she was as good as putty in his hands... and the odd thing was, she didn't even care.
She was a little breathless as he pulled away for a second. Her eyes fluttered close as he kissed her again, pulling away only to murmmer "Oh... My... God" Chey smiled, jumping up into his arms and wrapping her legs around his waist as she got completely lost in it. Her hand found the side of his face, her other arm wrapped around his upper body. She felt goosebumps run down her skin as his breath on her neck, leaving little kisses down her neck. Her throat caught slightly as he ran his hand up and down her side, lifting her shirt ever so slightly. She smirked into the kiss and pulled away for a second, breathless again. She almost laughed as his little grin pulled across his face. "Wow" He said. She almost smirked. "I love you" she managed, her tone low, almost a whisper, before meeting his lips sweetly again, letting him run his hands through her hair. Then it was over.
"I think maybe the boys have had enough of watching us make out" Chey instantly felt her cheeks grow hot. "Oops" she let a small giggle escape before jumping down out of his arms and biting her lip. She smiled and looked up as he kissed her head and took her hand. The pair went off slowly back to the truck, Chey's knees still a little weak. She knew they had to get Charlie home. He would need rest to 'sleep off' those broken ribs. If that was even possible. Chey fought a shiver. Poor guy. She couldn't even imagine what pain he must have been in... She kept her eyes down as they came back to the truck, avoiding any possible glances they could have been getting from Anthony and Charlie "Okay, Anthony, looks like you're riding solo... Lets get this clown in the cab" Seb instructed. Chey let his hand go again as the boys got Charlie into the cab. "I can ride in the back if you guys need" She offered, placing her hands halfway into her back pockets. It would be pretty crowded in the can otherwise and Charlie didn't need to be squished.

Sebastian Some say love is not for sinners I believe that isn't true 'Cause when I was finished sinning Love came down and showed me you Sebastian was speechless when she said I love you [/s] They were three simple words... But they scared him to death. He was overwhelmed with relief as she pressed her lips to his... He didn't have to answer... I can tell you right now he loves this girl more than anything in the world... But for Sebastian, saying those three words is a big issue, a big, fat commitment issue... He has never, ever said those to anyone, except his family, but that is in a totally diferrent league... When Sebastian was dating Demi she'd said that to him, in the "heat of the moment" if you know what I mean... Sebastian froze and Demi looked at him, he rolled over and bit his lip... Thank You[/s] he said.... Wincing at his own idiocy... Demi stopped returning his calls... and since he was Sebastian Kings, he didn't chase after her, or call her house five times a day... he just moved on... A womanizer like himself couldn't be caught chasing after girls... they chased him... remember? But anyways back to the point. Sebastian never said "I love you" to Chey... at least not until he came home, two years later But shhhh he doesn't know he's leaving yet....[/blockquote] And you told me how to get there So I tried to find a way Then I ran into your garden But I tripped out the gate I tripped out the gate But we'll getback to the present here... Anthony is in the bed of the truck and everything is loaded. Sebastian walked around the back of the truck and grinned lopsidedly at Chey. She was standing there... looking embarrassed as ever with her hands behind her back. She looked adorable. Sebastian walked over and put his arms around her as she spoke I can ride in the back if you guys need [/s] Sebastian wouldn't have that of course... Not happening he said sweetly... There's enough room... a devilish grin pulled at the corners of Sebastian's mouth Besides, if its too squished, you can sit on my lap he offered, chuckling at his own joke... Of course he wouldn't be opposed to... nevermind. Sebastian scooped Chey up easily and set her down gently between Charlie and himself. He put his arm around her shoulders and left his other on the wheel, See, there's enough room this wasn't a lie, Charlie and Chey weren't quite touching, but Chey was mostly on Sebastian's side of the truck. [/blockquote] What are you doing to me? I'm so into you And the hardest part is knowing That I'll never follow through You're slowly killing me And I wish it wasn't true Cause I'm so into you The drive to Charlie and Sebastian's house was short. Along another dirt road that was practically inhabited, there was a back road to their apartment... Which wasn't really an apartment, ore like a suite. It was quite spacious actually, two floors, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a decent kitchen that the boys spent virtually no time in and a large living room. There was a huge patio taking up half of the second floor, this was probably Sebastian's favourite part of their home. They had virtually no nieghbors as their apartment was actually above the corner store. It was strange to have an apartment with no nieghtbors, but it suited the boys just fine. And rent was dirt cheap. Sebastian pulled his truck up beside Charlie's (i shall leave this blank untill jess informs me what Charlie drives) And turned off the ignition. He got out of the truck and helped Chey out as well. Anthony? Do you need a ride somewhere or what? he asked, leaning on the bed of the truck... He really wanted to get inside with Chey but if Anthony needed a ride to the stbales he had to take him... He glanced at the flight of stairs leading to the front door of his home and back at Charlie... First we need to get him inside.... Once Charlie was inside and Sebastian was nearly downed by his bullmastiff Ryder, he looked to Charlie Couch or your bed Bud? he asked, his voice not exactly angry, but not exactly apologetic either... Like a ton of bricks it hit me And woke me from this dream No matter how hard I tried to wash my hands I could never get 'em clean I could never get 'em clean

Charlie was so focused on not being sick and trying to quench the pain that he really didn't notice anything. His right arm was rested across his mid abdomen, his hand clutching at his side to keep himself from breathing too deeply and making the damage worse than it already was. Even when he barely inhaled any air and filled his lungs with it he could still feel the bones' jagged edges grinding against each other. He was so focused on all of that, so focused on what was going on inside his body, that he basically completely forgot about everything that was going on around him. He forgot about Chey and Sebastian and Anthony. He forgot about why he was in pain. He forgot about the fact that he was in Sebastian's truck.
His heart was pounding in his ears, blocking out any and all sound. He didn't notice when Chey and Sebastian got into the truck and they started forwards. Yes, he was completely out of it. The expression on his face was completely blank, you couldn't even read the pain on it anymore. His eyes weren't quite all the way open, and remained unfocused on anything, just directed slightly downwards towards the floor. His strong body was completely tensed, every muscle tightened to keep the pain in check. His breathing was shallow and painful and he was leaned slightly against the passenger side door.
Next thing he knew, they had stopped in their driveway next to Charlie's red Viper. Yes, expensive car, I know...but it had been his parents' graduation gift to him...lord knows they could afford it. That had been back when all of the problems between them started. Senior year was when Charlie proclaimed that his decision to join the police academy was final, and that there was nothing they could do to change his mind. In a way, going to the academy was Charlie's way of rebelling against them. They had told him right from the start that they wanted him to get a "respectable" non-dangerous job...and basically, this was exactly the opposite.
Charlie had a thing for the wild side of life...and sure, being a cop wasn't exactly wild, but it was dangerous, often life threatening, and incredibly thrilling. At first his parents tried things like the car to get him to change his mind, but he was dead set against doing what they wanted him to do. Then they tried bribery...like they would pay for all of his college, and his lodgings and basically anything else, but Charlie blew them off, just like he had before. Then they tried talking him out of it with the risks involved, but they soon figured out that Charlie wanted the risk that they were describing in great detail to him. Then they tried arguing...and that was where they were now. Parents pitted against son...an unfortunate end to what had formerly been the "perfect" family.
Little did Charlie know, he was the one who was the problem with the family. Chase adored Charlie like none other, he did practically everything his older brother did. His parents only wanted what was best for him, and his rebellion was killing them. He was too stuck in his own ways to notice that though. He was going to do things his own way, and if that meant he had to argue with his parents every time he saw them...so be it. Yes, he was an arrogant hot headed young kid...but really, he was still on the whole high school teenage rebellion. He had finished school so quickly, when he was only 16, and thrust himself out into the real world, that he didn't really have time to to get over that stage in his life.
Charlie didn't really hear Sebastian's question, but it somehow registered in his mind what was being said. He was in an incredibly bad mood at the moment, and it didn't matter what anyone said to him, he wasn't going to respond well. Heck, someone could have told him he was the best person in the world and that he was their hero, and he would have had some snappy reply for them that most likely would have greatly offended them and made them hate him. The couch was a lot closer than his room, but he had a feeling that Sebastian and Chey would much rather he go behind a closed door where he wouldn't be in their way.
He muttered something...not important what, no one could understand him anyway, and pulled away from Sebastian and Anthony. The going was slow and painful, but right now he just didn't want to be around anyone, and he could do this himself. He might have broken ribs, but he wasn't crippled. There it was again, that arrogance. Charlie had such a hard time letting anyone help him with anything. It was like if he could do it himself it meant he was something, like he had self worth. He was trying to prove something...he just didn't really know what exactly it was that he was trying to prove.
He got into his room and sat himself down on the edge of the bed, again letting his right hand drift to his left ribs. He pressed his fingers slightly against the area where he knew a huge black bruise had formed, and felt the bones move inward with the pressure. Very likely a complete break, all the way though. The pain again swarmed up through him, and he gritted his teeth together to keep from making any noise that might give away the pain he was in. It didn't quite work as well as it had earlier though, and he laid flat out on his back with a very quiet groan of pain. Almost the instant he had done so, that unconscious sleep caught up with him, and he was out like a light. He was going to have a hard time at the academy come morning.
--------------------------------------------
Although the ride over to Sebastian's house was short, Anthony managed to get a lot of thinking done in that time. He was trying not to think about Charlie and what was going on with him, because it would only worry him...and he didn't need to have stuff like that on his mind while he was riding. Mostly the things that crossed his mind were the memories the three of them had. Anthony had only been in the group for three years, but it sure felt like an eternity. He might have been the odd one out of that group, but in a way they needed him. Charlie and Sebastian were so intense...that they needed to relax a little and laugh sometimes...Anthony certainly provided them with laughs.
He could recal the first day at Pinewood. He was 16, as was Charlie, and Sebastian was 18. He and the trainer, Mr. Fently, had just finished Anthony's first ride at Pinewood, and he was putting the horse back in his stall. At this point, Anthony was still just an exercise rider, and was just barely 5'2". The horse he was with was a beast of an animal, towering over him, but he handled it quite nicely. He had just closed the stall door, and had mumbled something to the horse, when he heard Sebastian's "What's with the accent shorty?". Anthony just turned around with that lopsided grin of his and said, "I'm Mexican, can't you tell?"
He knew he didn't look Mexican, and he certainly got a kick out of it. Charlie and Sebastian hadn't believed him one bit, and Charlie vocalized that with a "yeah right." It took a bit of convincing, but they finally believed him. Now, I'd like to say that Anthony was instantly a member of the friendship, but I can't. It was several days before they even crossed paths again, and they didn't really even say anything to each other. It was probably about a month before they asked him to come along with them to one of their many parties. Anthony actually declined the offer at first, but they eventually talked him into it.
It was probably about a month after that before the duo became officially recognized as a trio. Charlie and Sebastian started dragging Anthony everywhere with them, and I won't say he was unwilling to go. Most people around here overlooked him because of his "low" status as an exercise rider, but Charlie and Sebastian didn't seem to care. Even happy-go-lucky guys like Anthony needed friends every once in a while. After that, their friendship quickly exploded into what it was today. Sebastian was the fearless leader, Charlie was the vital backup, and Anthony was the comical relief.
He was jerked out of his thoughts when the truck came to a stop. Sebastian came around to the back, and asked Anthony if he needed a ride somewhere, but Anthony could tell he didn't want to take him anywhere. Not letting on to the fact that he knew, Anthony nimbly jumped out of the back of the truck, landing easily from all the years of practice leaping off of horses. Nah, Fently lives only about a mile from here, I'll walk there.[ A little exercise'll do me good. Mr. Fently was the trainer of the horses Anthony rode, and was basically a father figure to him. He didn't live with him, but he spend a good amount of time with him...when he wasn't with Charlie and Sebastian.
He helped Sebastian get Anthony up into the house, which was a bit of a hassle. Charlie was no small guy. He wasn't large, by any means. He was just quite broad shouldered, and incredibly built, which made him a somewhat heavy load. Anthony could tell that Charlie still wasn't right...in more ways than one...and he couldn't help but be concerned. He didn't say anything though, knowing that if he did it would only get him on Charlie's bad side...which was very easy to get onto when he was in a bad mood. Sebastian asked Charlie where he wanted to go, and Anthony heard him mutter something that sounded like "out of your way" and pushed himself off of the two that were supporting him.
Anthony still remained silent as Charlie moved painfully away from them towards his room. Anthony sighed and shook his head, knowing that he and Sebastian would work it out later and Sebastian would then fill him in on it. He didn't want to pry into Charlie's life for fear of getting his head ripped off. He glanced over at Sebastian and Chey, and he could tell, quite easily that they wanted to be alone. So, he quickly switched back over to clueless and happy-go-lucky Anthony, and that boyish grin appeared again. I should get going, He said, honestly sounding like he had no idea that Seb and Chey wanted to be alone, or I'll show up and Fently'll be gone...and it's a long walk to the stables.
He stepped over towards the door, but paused before leaving. Do me a favor and find out what's bothering him before it kills him. He said, hoping that this whole thing between them would be resolved before they came to the stable so that they could have a relatively normal day without all the tension. He pulled the door open, and headed down the stairs for his walk out to Fently's. It would probably take him about 45 minutes to get there walking, which for someone in his physical condition was like a leisurely stroll down to the mail box.

C.heyenne }} "Not happening" Seb said in reply to her offer, placing his arms around her. "There's enough room... Besides, if its too squished, you can sit on my lap" He chuckled, that evil little grin pulling at his mouth. Chey smirked, but before she could think of some sort of witty remark, suddenly she was in his arms and moving towards she truck. She let out a tiny little shriek at the suddenness of loosing her footing, but then she let a grin slip across her face. As Seb put her down in the middle of the cab she could tell how much pain Charlie was in. He clutched his side in pain, but his face was expressionless. Numb? Chey wasn't sure, but she felt so much sympathy for him she could have hugged him. But of course she knew that would only make it worse, and he didn't exactly look to be in the best of moods right now... She brought her eyes back to Seb as he started the engine and spoke again. "See, there's enough room" Chey was a little surprised. She must have underestimated the size of the truck.
It wasn't a very long trip to the little loft like apartment where Charlie and Sebastian lived. Chey had been here many times before to hang out and whatnot, and it was actually a pretty nice place. Well, despite the mess. But hey, when you got two guys living together, what could you expect? Usually they cleaned it up a bit before Chey came over, which was nice. She could tell from the piles of junk throw into the empty room. Ah well, at least they tried... Seb pulled up next to Charlie's Viper and helped Chey out. It was such a funny contrast between Seb's rugged old truck and Charlie's brand new Viper... Chey ran ahead and opened the front door for the guys as they picked up Charlie to carry him in. Chey laughed as Ryder came at a sprint and nearly knocked her down. She pushed him off and tried to keep him off Seb as they came in with Charlie. "Couch or your bed bud?" Seb asked, but Charlie got up and somehow got to his room. Chey bit her lip. He obviously wasn't doing so well. But she knew he probably just needed rest. He'd be out in a few minutes.
She sighed, then turned back to where Anthony and Seb were talking. "I should get going," Anthony was saying. "or I'll show up and Fently'll be gone...and it's a long walk to the stables" Chey gave him a half smile. "Bye Anthony" It wasn't like Chey knew Charlie or Anthony too well, other than hanging out with Seb so much, you could expect to see a lot of his best friends. It was odd actually. She always felt like she was 'part of the gang' but yet she knew she wasn't. It was nice, in a way, to be accepted into their little group of friends... she watched Anthony leave then smiled and took Seb's hands in hers, facing him. "How's your nose?" She asked, biting her lip. She hated seeing him in any sort of pain, even though she knew very well he could handle it.
((OOC: grrr this is a crappy post, sorry xD))

Sebastian Girl you’ve never known no one like me Up there in your high society They might tell you I’m no good Girl they need to understand Just who I am I may be a real bad boy But baby I’m a real good man Sebastian's brow furrowed as he watched Charlie amble painfully into his room. Idiot he mumbled under his breath when Anthony spoke. Nah, Fently lives only about a mile from here, I'll walk, A little exercise'll do me good [/s] he drawled. Sebastian couldn't help but smile. You sure? but Anthony was already on his way out the door. Upon Anthony's last request, Sebastian nodded You can count on it he confirmed his friend as he left. See you later He called after him. Sebastian sighed softly and turned back to Chey Well now that they're gone He hurried over and gently pushed her against a wall. His bare chest pushed against her has he kissed her passionatly. His lips attacked hers heatedly. Nipping at her cheeks and neck. He smirked into the kiss... Knowing the affect he had on Chey. He pulled away and a stupid, lop-sided grin spread on his face... I was only kidding, sweetie he teased, laughing... [/blockquote] I may drink too much and play too loud Hang out with a rough and rowdy crowd That don’t mean I don’t respect My mama or my uncle sam Yes sir, yes ma’am I may be a real bad boy But baby I’m a real good man But seriously... Are you hungry? Thirsty? Uhhh what other needs do humans have.... he trailed off. A devilish smile worked it's way onto his face Regular people I mean... excluding myself he joked. Ahh teenage hormones... they always got the better of Sebastian... everytime... Sebastian went around the house, opening windows. It was a scorcher today. He slid open the glass door to the patio and Ryder loped outside, woofing stupidly. Sebastian rolled his eyes. Its hot eh? he asked casually, attempting to clean up the remnants of Charlie and Sebastian's chinese take out dinner from last night... The coffee table had already been raided my the huge, drooling mamoth that was Sebastian's dog... There was not a noodle to be found, just empty white boxes. He tossed all of Charlie's police academy books into a cardboard box in the corner, clearing the couch. Yeah, the boys were a little slobby, but Sebastian made an attempt a cleaning up before Chey came over, usually. I might have a reckless streak At least a country-mile wild If you’re gonna run with me It’s gonna be a wild ride When it comes to loving you I’ve got velvet hands I’ll show you how a real bad boy Can be a real good man Sebastian flopped back on the couch. He looked freaking cute in just his worn blue jeans I might add... But don't tell him... His head was already pretty big. Chey spoke finally How's your nose? [/s] she asked, sympathy drenching her words. Sebastian shrugged Im fine he said truthfully Its not like it hasn't happened before he chuckled. He leaned his head back against the couch, waiting for Chey to curl up beside him... I guess this is what they mean by the dog days of summer... It was really to hot to do anything... Well almost anything... Sebastian shook his head, sending his dirty blonde hair landing hap-hazardly across his forehead Are you okay babe? he asked, truely wondering what was going on with her. He pulled her down to him and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her just under her ear softly. His teeth pulled at her earlobe seductivly as he chuckled, in her ear. [/blockquote] I take all the good times I can get I’m too young for growing up just yet Ain’t much I can promise you ’cept to do the best I can I’ll be damned I may be a real bad boy But baby I’m a real good man ((posted here too... but its horrible and short xD sorry))
