They always say I look like

Corey's pretty good looking, to say the least. But let's break it down head to toe. We'll start with his hair. His hair changes a lot... most of the time it's dark brown with lighter brown highlights (all natural, if you're asking), but when he's in the right light, or has been in the sun it'll change to a lighter brown, almost dirty blond color. He keeps it styled pretty simple, mostly just spiked or mused. He doesn't put much time into it though... it's not really worth it. When he has it long it hangs down just above his ear, curling up slightly at the tips.

His complexion is pretty even, not too tan and not too fair. His warm eyes are the color of melted chocolate and easy to get lost in. They seem to light up when he smiles and if you know him well enough, the twinkle in his eyes will give him away if he's joking or teasing. His bright smile is enough to make anyone's day, dimpling his cheeks and brightening his whole face. He truly is handsome, and yes, he knows it. He also knows very well the effect he has on girls, but somehow that only makes him more adorable.

His body... well, yes, it's to die for. He works out almost every day, and playing sports doesn't hurt anything either. His muscles are something he take pride in, inwardly. Nah, he doesn't get too thingyy about it, but you can tell he put some effort into working out. He stand about 6' even, so he's not particularity short, nor is he extremely tall. Almost nothing about Corey is too over to top, except for maybe some aspects of his personality, but we'll save that for later. On with the show!

Corey certainly is a character. People's first impression of him seems to be carefree, sort of immature. But he goes deeper than that, you just have to get to know him. Sure, he likes to have fun, go to parties, ect. the whole bit. But who doesn't? Hey, it helps him get away from reality. He could really care less about his well-being, as long as can live life to the fullest, ya know? That's a dangerous philosophy, but that's Corey for you. Always laughing in the face of danger. Fearless, so to speak.

Corey will take any dare you give him, stupid or not. He's not afraid to get hurt. Heck, he's dealt with worse than just a few broken bones. Corey is also very stubborn. Once he starts something, he finishes it. End of story. He's not afraid to start fights, so don't think he'll go easy on you out of modesty. But he knows when to stop too. Corey is strong willed and opinionated. He has a hard time admitting he's wrong. He could really care less what other people think of him though, and he doesn't conform to the ideals of others. He is what he is, simple as that.

And now we'll go to the deeper Corey... the one only very few people have the privileged of knowing. He's a good listener, and loyal to the end. Once he befriends you, that's it. He'll be there just as long as you want him there. But he doesn't tolerate betrayal... we'll leave it at that. He's good at keeping secrets, good or bad. Corey enjoys a few good jokes every now and then, maybe even a few pranks, but it's all in good fun. As far as he's concerned, if you take offense then it's your problem. Corey does have a deep sense of feeling though, and guilt is the only thing he can't take.

This Is Who I was

Corey was born in Houston Texas to Jeffry and Caroline Black. Jeffry was a workaholic from the start, leaving Caroline to run the household and raise little Corey. As he go older, his father and mother's relationship began to strain, to say the least. Caroline tried her best to keep it from Corey, but it was obvious. His father would come home late, sometimes drunk. Core would stay up late at night, unable to go to sleep, just listening to his parent's scream at each other. And then the next day they would act like nothing happened. Yeah right. Corey knew better, but he kept it to himself and played along with their little games.

But by the time Corey was 15 things started escalating. Corey started sneaking out at nights, hanging with the wrong crowd. Drinking, smoking... yeah, even a joint or two. Anything to get away from it all. One day he woke up to find out his 'father' had left. Yeah, he was mad. But also hurt, even if he wouldn't admit it. He promised himself right there that he would never give up on anything. Ever. He wouldn't just walk away like his father had. For a while he gave up the party life, but then his mom met someone. After only a few months they up and got engaged. Needless to say, Corey didn't exactly get along with his mother's new fiance... maybe it was because he still held bitter feelings towards his father.

Either way, he went back to his reckless lifestyle. The new 'happy couple' didn't seem to need him anyway. Right before graduation, Corey and his 'buddies' were caught vandalizing the school. He spent a month in Juvi, mellowing him out just a bit. But his mom was still worried about him. Then they moved to Pinewood West Virginia for his step-dad's job. It wasn't too bad, it wasn't like he really wanted to be here either. After a month or so of solitude, which wasn't usually like Corey, his mom told him he would either have to find a new hobby or be kicked out. He wouldn't have minded being kicked out, but he didn't exactly have anywhere to go. So he took the smart move, with a little resentment, and began to search for anything that sounded even the most remotely interesting to him.

That task proved to be harder than it sounds, especially in a town like this. Well, finally he found Pinewood Stables. Might as well give it a shot, right? And so here he is, determined to make the best of it.
