The lights, the crowds of fans, the instruments, the excitement in the air, all of it. This was what life was...or at least that was the life of Enrique Iglesias. He had more to his life, but that part of his life belonged to Aaron Torres, dad and horseman, not Enrique Iglesias, Spanish pop singer. For tonight though, he was Enrique, and there was only one person in the world who would be there tonight who knew who the other side of him was, and she just happened to be about to sing with him. From back stage he could hear the "announcer" starting his whole speel to get the crowd pumped up. It always worked...even though they said basically the same thing every time. It usually wasn't anything to be excited about. The normal introduction consisted of "Hello pinewood" followed by screaming from the audience. He never understood why that got the crowd excited, but whatever worked worked. The guy probably could have said something along the lines of "there's no such thing as Santa Clause" and they would have gone wild. The introduction finished, and the stage lights dimmed, his cue to walk out on stage. As he stepped out onto the stage, the piano started playing quietly, and his song started. When the music swelled, the blinding lights were turned on him and the crowd went wild. Out in the audience he could see cell phones raised as people took pictures or videos or just raised their phones in an attempt to be cool. Do you know Do you know
Do you know what it feels like loving someone that’s in a rush to throw you away. Do you know what it feels like to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed.
If birds flying south is a sign of changes At least you can predict this every year. Love, you never know the minute it ends suddenly I can’t get it to speak Maybe finding all the things it took to save us I could fix the pain that bleeds inside of me Look in your eyes to see something about me I’m standing on the edge and I don’t know what else to give.
Do you know what it feels like loving someone that’s in a rush to throw you away. Do you know what it feels like to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed.
How can I love you How can I love you How can I love you How can I love you . . . .
If you just don’t talk to me, babe.
I flow through my act The question is she needed And decide all the man I can ever be. Looking at the last 3 years like I did, I could never see us ending like this. Seeing your face no more on my pillow Is a scene that’s never happened to me. But after this episode I don’t see, you could never tell the next thing life could be
Do you know what it feels like loving someone that’s in a rush to throw you away. Do you know what it feels like to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed.
Do you know what it feels like loving someone that’s in a rush to throw you away. Do you know what it feels like to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed.
Do you know, Do you know, Do you know,
Do you know what it feels like loving someone that’s in a rush to throw you away. Do you know what it feels like to be the last one to know the lock on the door has changed. The music cut out and the lights went dark. The darkness lasted for only a moment before coming back on, still focused on him. Buenas noches Pinewood! he said, then paused for the screaming that he knew would follow. When it subsided, he continued. You guys are incredible, I think they could probably hear you all the way down in Bella Vista. Another cheer interrupted him and he once more waited for silence to ensue. But I think, if you were excited for me... I LOVE YOU ENRIQUE!! There was an unexpected interruption from somewhere in the crowd. There was a bit of laughter from the audience, as he just stood there, looking like he didn't know what to say. Of course, this happened quite often, and the long pause was entirely intentional. Unbelievable... He said finally shaking his head, I love you too...what's your name? Katie! The girl screamed excitedly waving at him as if he hadn't seen her before. Right, Katie. Come up here Katie. The girl hurriedly made her way up to the stage and stopped at the base of it. Enrique extended his hand to her to help her up on the stage. She hardly knew what to do and it took her a moment to actually take it. Once she was on the stage, he put his arms around her in a hug as if he'd known her his whole life. Now she really didn't know what to do. It seemed all she could think of was to do the little girl scream and hop up and down. It hardly lasted a few seconds, but she didn't seem to care. Hey Pedro! He said to the drummer...whose name was actually Mike but Enrique had given all of the band members Spanish names just for the fun of it. It was sort of like his personal nick-names and no one outside the band knew them. You wanna... "Pedro" chucked a CD, the album that was going to be released in two days, at him before he could even finish. Enrique caught it and laughed. He knows me too well. He then turned to Katie and handed it to her, and then helped her back down off the stage. Now, on with the introduction. As I was saying, if you guys were excited for me, I think China's going to be wondering what is going on when I introduce to you my friend who will also be preforming for you tonight. He paused to let the excitement build up again, not that it really needed to. Please welcome Shakira! He stepped back out of center stage as the spot light leapt to the stage entrance where Shakira would be coming out and the crowd screamed and cheered in a deafening roar. The two had only just actually met, although they had both known who the other was for a long time. Their managers apparently though knew one another and had come to the conclusion that they should to a concert at Pinewood to boost their number of fans in that area of the country. Enrique didn't know why they thought that was needed, but whatever, it couldn't hurt right?

For the first while, Shakira sat back stage and watched everything fall into place. She started to dream what it would've been like being at Pinewood without anyone she really knew that well. She would've felt like an outcast and an outsider. She came from Colombia and took a break from her tour. Although her fans didn't paticularly like it, she didn't care. She didn't want to do things she didn't feel like, just for the fans. She did love her fans, but she needed a break from the long and strenuous tour life. She spoke spanish when she could and now that she was in America, there would be a lot less chances to do that. With Aaron though, she could confide in him secretly in the unknown language around the barn. They could laugh, hang out, and spend time together to know each other better. Who knows, maybe the could do a complete tour together, showcasing some of their hit songs together and writing a few together.
Anything could happen and Shakira was ready for a slower life. One that she could enjoy more. One where her whole life wasn't focused around just touring. As much as she loved her music life, she wanted to be like a normal person and have some down time, something she didn't have much of anymore. She turned her head and watched the crowd as they went for Enrique as the announcer introduced him. She watched him quietly jog out onto the stage and greet his fans. She was already starting to get pumped up for the time when she would go out, which would be much later. She could feel the surge of energy created by the crazed fans, who didn't know that she was guest starring. She smile brightly as she heard his sweet voice. The thoughts of her life swirled in her head, especially when she met Aaron, right now, known as Enrique. She started to daydream and his sweet smile along with his voice on stage filled her mind. She was starting to like him. They had just met and she didn't want to rush things, but slowly she seemed to like him more and more.
His lyrics struck at her heart and started to play with them. She sighed happily, pleased that she was just able to listen to him before going out on stage. As most other lyrics were, they had meaning like a cute or gloomy poem. Whether the fans got any of the message he was conveying, she wasn't sure, but was thing was, they really like this song. She was so lucky to have met him face to face for the first time. She had seen him around concerts and events and what not, but she hadn't actually gotten the chance to really talk to him or get to know him and so far, he seemed nice and level headed, like herself, especially for singers like themselves. In so many ways, they were a like. They disliked the same parts of their lives and they both wanted to learn more about horses. Her thoughts were interrupted by the crowd cheering even louder and a younger girl yelling that she loved Enrique. Shakira had to laugh a little bit as she was stunned when Enrique invited her up on stage. Shakira had gotten an idea and would follow through with it once she got on stage. She had heard the girl's name and had noted it in her mind.
Soon, Enrique was making an introduction for her appearance. She smiled brightly at him and then when she heard her name and the lights shine her way, that was her cue. She walked briskly onto the stage and waving. The crowd went even more wild when she walked on. As if one star wasn't enough, but now two. She gave a quick bow and then took a mic. Bienvenidos Pinewood y que una buena noche todas las personas! [Welcome Pinewood and what Good Night everyone!] She smiled and then took the CD from behind her back. Before Enrique and I get started, I'd like to as Katie back up to the stage for a moment. Katie's eyes were very expressive at this point and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She walked up to the stage, sort of surprised. Shakira helped her up and then handed her the CD. I figured that I might as well give you one of my CDs too. Shakira gave her a quick hug. So far, Katie had had the best night. She was all smiles when Shakira helped her back down. Now, let's get this concert started!
Shakira and Aaron had planned what they would sing out. They would sing one of his duo songs, called You're my number 1. She would sing with him when it was her turn and also on the chorus. After Aaron had sung the first part of the song she joined in with Aaron in the chorus. After she sang the chorus, she sang her solo.
You bring me up when I'm feeling down You touch me deep you touch you me right You do the things I've never done You make me wicked you make me wild 'Cause baby, your my # 1
(Solo) I've sailed in a perfect dream I've seen the sun make love to the see I've kissed the moon a million times Danced with angels in the sky I've even seen miracles I've seen the tears diappear But still haven't seen anything That amazes me quite like you do
After she had sung her solo, she smiled at Aaron and then really started to look into his eyes. She once again sang with the chorus and then looked back out to the fans. She could feel she was getting closer to him with every waking minute she was near him. She hadn't really felt anything like it before, but one thing's for sure...she liked it. (truthfully, I like this post a lot better than the one I made earlier and lost.)

Enrique watched Shakira come out onto the stage, peering through the darkness that was now around him as the lights focused on her. When her initial introduction was finished, another light popped on, bringing him back into the spotlight along with her. It took him a moment to actually be able to see anyone or anything, but he could hear it. The crowd couldn't have been more excited to have the two Spanish speaking stars on stage together. When Shakira called Katie back up onto the stage, Enrique looked at Shakira with an entertaining expression of "disbelief." I don believe this. He said in a pretend upset tone, She's stealing my fans...Unbelievable. The audience laughed yet again, knowing that he wasn't serious at all. He was well known for being a rather humorous performer, something that all too many stars lacked. Not that it mattered though, the fans didn't care what you did live, just so long as you kept doing what you did best. On with the concert. Just as she said. Their first song was going to be a duet that he had written, why his songs always had to be first he didn't know, he just did what his manager told him to do otherwise there would be another one of those ridiculous arguments that always ended in Enrique giving in simply because he was sick of arguing. Now he just did what he was told and avoided the arguments altogether. It worked out much better that way...as long as his manager didn't ask him to do something stupid or something that he would never dream of doing that is. I've kissed the moon a million times Danced with angels in the sky I've seen snowfall in the summertime Felt the healing of the powers above
I've seen the world from he highest mountain Tasted love from the purest fountain I've seen lips that spark desire Felt the butterflies a hundred times
I've even seen miracles I've felt the pain disappear But still haven't seen anything That amazes me quite like you do Normally, Enrique sang more to the fans than anyone else, even in duets. Yeah, he would look at the person he was singing with, but what he said was to the fans. The lyrics did mean something to him...sort of. He hoped that some day he would find someone who he could honestly say that to, but when he sang it was just to entertain the fans. This time though, he was finding things quite a bit different than normal. When Shakira had first walked out on stage he had been quite taken away by the way she looked. He actually hadn't had a chance to see her before the concert as they would be coming in on opposite sides and his manager and all those people had about ten billion things to say to him right up until the very moment he walked out. She really did look beautiful. The spotlight seemed to bounce off of her in a radiant glow that he hadn't ever seen on anyone else. He'd had plenty of concerts with other people, other women, but he hadn't ever really noticed them the way he noticed Shakira. She was stunning and he was just...well, like I said before, blown away by her. Lucky for him, even when he was blown away he could keep his wits about him and sing without messing things up. Good thing he knew this song like the back of his hand, otherwise he might have forgotten the words and made himself look like an idiot in front of pretty much the whole world...sort of. Before he knew it, the first song was already over, and he realized that he had been looking at Shakira for basically the entire time, and not only that, but he'd also been singing to her as well. It was true, he'd seen a lot of things in his life, good and bad, but he hadn't seen anything that amazed him quite like Shakira did. Of course, he couldn't make it look like he was currently sort of maybe a little bit obsessed with her. A few minutes after the song faded and some time of silence had passed, he broke the spell by interjecting with his next lines. He did have a script that he was sort of supposed to stick to, but once he got out there, there wasn't a thing anyone could do to make him follow it, so he was going to go impromptu. He liked that much better than a strict outline. So, I was thinking, He said turning towards the crowd and directly addressing them, Shakira looks great doesn't she? another deafening roar as the focus turned to Shakira, as if they had all forgotten what she looked like in the past twenty seconds. I feel under dressed. he added somewhat truthfully. He didn't really, but his jeans and t-shirt were nothing compared to Shakira. Then again, she was a girl, he was a guy. Girls usually ended up looking more spectacular for these things than guys did. If they wanted him to get dressed up beyond casual, they'd better have a wedding or something similar planned, otherwise, jeans and t-shirt it was. Enrique couldn't help but look at Shakira standing quite close to him. It wasn't a creepy stare like looking, or an awkward checking out sort of looking, it was just a "she's hot and there's not a guy out there who could honestly deny that they thought so too" sort of look combined with, an "I'm talking about you so I should be looking at you" sort of look. He hoped it wasn't strange, or at all revealing about the way he was currently starting to feel towards her. He'd only just met her, there was no way he was going to publicize the possibility that he was attracted to her. Yes, it was true, but still... A though hit him right then and there. If anything was to happen between them relationship-wise, how in the world was he going to work that into both of his lives? Two men who looked identical couldn't possibly be in a relationship with the same women. There came the terrible twist on his life that he knew would happen sooner or later. Juggling two lives was not an easy thing, and it may have just gotten harder. Ah well, right now, he was rather willing to deal with it and make things work if he had to. He wasn't going to let his "second life" get in the way of his real life. If he absolutely had to, he would give up and let the world know who he was. Of course, it would take a while for any relationship to become that pressing, but if and when the time came, he would do it.

Lexi had been there a while now and when she got word that Enrique Iglesias was playing at the Pinewood hall she couldn't help but take the night off to go and see him. She even splurdged and managed to get herself a backstage pass. She wasn't going to go all out but her favorite high heeled boots and some nice jeans and green low cut top with a brown leather jacket. She snatched up her keys and picked up chloe her adorable mini chocolate poodle. "Hello there sweety wanna come with me?" She walked out and locked the door behind her. Her hair flowed down and she slide into the driver seat of her corvette. What could she say she was only a bit spoiled by her parents. She placed Chloe in the seat next to her and she barked and curled into a little ball and feel asleep in the car.
After a moment or so she pulled into the parking of the concert hall. She left Chloe sleeping in the car and made her way down the stairs finding a spot in the corner in the front row. She had her ways of getting things she wanted. She watched happily as the crowds barreled in. The lights went around and finally it all dimmed as the announcer introduced Enrique and laughed as the crowd of girls and a few guys went nutts. It was amusing seeing them all go crazy because they love the music. Sure they would have gone nutts no matter what the announcer said which makes it all the more funny. Being from pretty much all over she had seen her fair share of concerts but never once had she loved the artist so much that she would scream her head off unless it was a joke and she felt outgoing. She only felt that way around friends though and tonight she was alone.
Enrique came out onto the stage and his first song started. It was one of her personal favorites and reminded her of when she was little. She smiled up at the pop star filled with memories of her childhood. She had grown up in england from when she was 1 till she was about 12 then they moved to spain. She lived there till she was 16 then they moved back to england then she moved to america and moved all around the united states till finally landing here in Pinewood. She loved spain and spoke spanish fluently though she was a bit rusty from not speaking it in a while. It was nice hearing his accent. She swayed to the music and then the song ended. He started to talk when he was interupted by some girl named Katie and she laughed as he invited her on stage he was such a nice funny guy not in a million years would you find another like him. She had never seen any other singer invite a fan on stage and hug them like they were best friends then give her a cd. Once he finished with that he introduced Shakira which was a pleasant surprise. Then she passed the same girl a cd it was all funny and had all the other girls in the crowd jealous.
They started their duet it was a beautiful song and she loved it. She watched the chemistry between Enrique and Shakira. She had seen Enrique at his concerts several times attempting to catch everyone she could. And she noticed something that no one else could Enrique was always very passionate about waht he did but he sung ot the audience when he sang duets and solo. Never once had she see him actually sing to the other person he was on stage with. Sure he would look at them to help them flow better but there wasn't anything between them. But this time was different. There was a little more something there he was actually singing to her or at least a little bit. A qoi smile spread over her face. She hummed along and when it was over his pleasant sense of humer came out yet again. Complimenting Shakira on her good looks. It was true though she looked great. And he in his usual Jeans and a t shirt but hey she prefered dressing that way herself.
She smirked and decided to head backstage. Even if they weren't done yet she would watch from the side of the stage. Sure backstage passes didn't permit that but she would get herself in she had her ways and usually everyone knew who she was even if they were horse people they would know her her parents were. So an autograph for the daughter or neice and she was in. Yes she did use her fame to get what she wanted but only if it was a good thing it wasn't as if she used it for anything bad such as getting out of a ticket or anything. Although it has happened once or twice before. So she walked up the stairs and flashed her pass. She made her way to the door that lead to the side of the stage and smiled sweetly. They guards stopped her and she showed her pass. They looked her up and down and both recongnizing her smiled and moved out of the way. She waited to see if they would sing more songs or if they would head back stage. If they did she would move out and wait in the back for them. No she wasn't an obssessed fan but she wanted to talk with someone from the place she had grown up.

Shakira had looked over at Aaron as he started to talk to his fans...his fans of his dual life. She smiled when he made it sound like he care about what she had given Katie. She laughed a little and playfully hit his shoulder. She couldn't get over just how funny and playful he was...something she likes in guys. She didn't mind having some fun now and then because it spiced up life when it got dull. There were never any dull moments and you always had something to talk about. Enrique had something that most performers didn't have around crowds, charisma. He was willing to make jokes and make fun of Shakira to keep the crowd happy and laughing. Shakira didn't mind either, it was actually quite fun to have him around and joking. As time went on, She was falling for Enrique or Aaron, whichever Aaron would prefer, more and more. They seemed so a like and so perfect for each other, but their famous lives would get in the way too. Paparazzi following them everywhere and tracking them their every step. She wouldn't think about that aspect though, only that she knew there might be possible chemistry between them. She was thinking hard, but never let it reveal itself on stage. She could multitask and that's what she would do. As she was thinking deeply, she displayed normal emotions show no sign of deep and complex thoughts running through her mind. As she continued to sing with Enrique, she started to notice that he too wasn't really looking away from her. She smiled lightly and then when she could no longer take it, she looked out onto the crowd. She had never really felt like this before, it was something new and wasn't quiet as comfortable as she thought. Especially in front of fans, even if they did or didn't notice. Her shy side had temporarily popped out during the performance and had made her slightly turn away. It wasn't that she was trying to be rude, but she just wasn't comfortable yet with all of her new feelings towards Enrique. The song soon ended and there was a little bit of a silence as the background music faded away. It seemed awkward, but was soon interrupted by Enrique starting to talk with the crowd again. Shakira listened to Enrique and then smiled genuinely. As the roar of crowd applauses and screams filled the concert hall, Shakira laughed a little. She looked to Enrique and then said, Why thank you Enrique, but I think you're suited just well for the concert. Although, those pants do look pretty drabby. She laughed some. Of course she was kidding also. What was the fun in being too modest. She smiled to the crowd as they started to laugh some at her remarks. Shakira, Shakira, Shakira, Shakira. They started to chant wildly and then she started to speak again. Ok, so We've done two of his songs. Shakira looked Enrique up and down like he was some wierdo. Why not have some fun? Now, why don't we both sing some of mine? The crowd soon started to cheer even louder and soon Shakira got the band to start playing the music for Hips don't Lie. She waited for her cue, after Enrique would sing the introduction. Oh baby when you talk like that You make a woman go mad So be wise and keep on Reading the signs of my body
And I'm on tonight You know my hips don't lie And I'm starting to feel it's right All the attraction, the tension Don't you see baby, this is perfection
Oh I know I am on tonight my hips don't lie And I am starting to feel it's right All the attraction, the tension Don't you see baby, this is perfection Shakira, Shakira
Oh boy, I can see your body moving Half animal, half man I don't, don't really know what I'm doing But you seem to have a plan My will and self restraint Have come to fail now, fail now See, I am doing what I can, but I can't so you know That's a bit too hard to explain
Baila en la calle de noche Baila en la calle de día She continued on with the song, smoothly stopping to wait for Enrique to sing the parts that he was told to. It seemed that in this business you were told to do everything by your manager. Basically, you were just the star that sang and were done. No being able to use your own brain to figure things out. It was really quite overrated, but whatever worked worked. During the song, Shakira glanced over to the side of the stage. She saw someone over on the side just watching. She turned her attention back to the crowd, but quickly got a glance again. She didn't know that someone from the audience had a backstage pass. She'd be glad to meet them, but she never really got to talk to the fans. She was normally just rushed out of the concert area to her trailer. She shrugged the thought off secretly and then returned to singing. Soon Shakira remembered the second part of Enrique's life. How was that going to work out? If anything really did exist between them, it wouldn't be right for Shakira to bring his personal life out. She would change her name also, but it would be too wierd. Two people who look a lot like stars in the music world? People would certainly inquire and then possibly find out. That would be horrible. She pushed the thought aside and continued on with the concert, as if nothing had occurred to her.

Enrique crossed his arms, and took a step back, once again giving the appearance that he was displeased, which only added to the laughter. He shook his head, looking directly at her as the fans started chanting Shakira's name. What is this world coming to? He said over the chanting. She spoke again, this time making fun of him and his songs...an eye for an eye. He knew she wasn't serious, but he could play along, that was something he was quite good at. The music, started, and they hit the note where he was supposed to start singing. Nothing. The fans looked over at him, wondering if he had completely lost his mind and forgotten the lyrics to the song. The music stopped, and the expression on the faces of each member of the band almost matched those of the fans. In his ear piece, Enrique could hear his manager asking him "What the hell are you doing?" It was all he could do to keep from laughing. What did he care what he was doing? You know what, He said nodding slightly, a hint of a smile playing across his face as he spoke, I cannot do this. He started to walk away from center stage to the booing of the fans. No one knew what on earth he was doing. Those who knew him figured he wasn't serious, but what was he doing. He disappeared from the stage as the spotlight lost him, a few moments passing before he reappeared on the stage, looking like he had just been reproached. He took his place on the stage again, waiting a few moments before saying anything, just to let the wonder of the crowd increase. They threatened to let the press loose on me if I didn't finish this concert. He said, obviously not serious, still looking reproached. The fans finally caught on to the joke. Actually, the only words that had been said back stage had been those of the manager uttering every cuss word known to the human language before Enrique interrupted and told him to stop having a cow. He should have known by now that he would never walk out of a concert due to the "insults" of the other singer. The guy took him way too seriously. Enrique had a sense of humor, his manager had none. It was a bit of a problem. Still, he tried to look on the bright side, it was rather entertaining to watch his manager have a seizure every time he did something like this. Call it morbid humor, but if you got to see it, you'd laugh too. Still silence, he turned back to the band, Hey Pedro, He said, still keeping up the insulted composure, I cannot sing without music. Oh right, he was done now...Pedro laughed and struck up the beat to the music. This time when his cue came, he actually started singing like he was supposed to. There was absolutely nothing wrong with having fun on stage. If this was what he was going to do for a living he might as well enjoy it. I never really knew that she could dance like this She makes a man wants to speak Spanish Como se llama (si), bonita (si), mi casa (si, Shakira Shakira), su casa Shakira, Shakira He found it interesting that the man always got the introduction in songs. He'd never really thought about it before now, but it was true. Most of the time it was anyway. There were a few exceptions out there. Hey Girl, I can see your body moving And it's driving me crazy And I didn't have the slightest idea Until I saw you dancing
And when you walk up on the dance floor Nobody cannot ignore the way you move your body, girl And everything so unexpected - the way you right and left it So you can keep on shaking it
I never really knew that she could dance like this She makes a man want to speak Spanish Como se llama (si), bonita (si), mi casa (si, Shakira Shakira), su casa Shakira, Shakira The next male part of the song was sung by Enrique's back up singer. If there was one thing in music that he couldn't do it was even sort of rap decently. It really wasn't his thing. He was a singer, not a rapper. He'd made that absolutely clear in their "meeting." He wasn't going to make a fool out of himself by attempting to do something he already knew he couldn't. His manager, of course, had attempted to convince him to do it, but this was one argument that he wasn't going to give in on. Of course, even if he had ended up giving up on it, he would have probably secretly asked his back up singer to do it for him and there would have been nothing they could have done to stop it by the time it started. Either way, he wasn't going to do it. When the Shakira's last part of the song faded, he stayed silent. This was her song, she would have to be the one to say something next. He didn't know if what she was saying was scripted or not, but if it was supposed to be in response to his script, he'd messed that one up for them. He had a wonderful talent of doing that. So far it seemed that she was completely fine with it. Usually, the other singers had no idea what to do when he went off the script, and he would end up going back to it for their sakes, but Shakira was different. She didn't seem to mind actually enjoying the time out there.

Lexi couldn't help but laugh. Enrique sure had a way with the crowd she loved his sence of humor. She laughed and watched as the crowd stood and shock and started to boo. But he came back and fooled them all. When they finally did start singing there voices meshed perfectly. She admired there talent. She loved singing and dancing. This was definatly one of her favorite songs Shakira sang. She hoped her hips along to the beat course she couldn't move nearly as well as Shakira did but she presonally didn't know anyone who could. She was english dancing like this usually wasn't seen unless you really dug it up in what she called the "Underground clubs." But she learned quite a few moves when she was a teenager living in spain. She lossed her touch a bit since then though.
The song ended and she snapped her attention back to the two on stage. She couldn't believe how popular they both were it was incredible. She had a little taste of paparazzi from being one of the up and coming olympic riders but nothing nearly as bad as them. She hoped she never would have to deal with that either. It was stressful and something that now one should wish on there enemy. She watched them entertain the crowd. She herself loved their music but found herself far to serious to go nutts and such as they were doing. So she leaned up against the wall wear a huge smile. They seemed so happy but unlike a lot of singers they really were happy, not just because it was a job and they made good money, they really enjoyed themselves.
She caught the corner of shakira's eye but ignored it. Lexi wasn't some nutso fan that was going to tackle them as soon as they walked back there. She was a friend and was just coming as sort of a surprise. She and Enrique had grown up together and he was like family. She having lived in spain grew up in the exact same neighborhood. When she had heard that he was coming to sing here she just couldn't pass up the oportunity to see him. And who knew maybe he was living here now days. She'd like to get close again he was like her best friend back then and she hoped that the time that had past wasn't going to change anything. So that was why she splurdged on the backstage pass.
ooc: not finished i wanna make a good post and my muse is lacking since its like 1:30 am sowey i'll try and get the rest up tomorrow.

Shakira watched Enrique play around withe crowd and his manager. She kept composed, but was on the edge of breaking out laughing. She couldn't believe he would take something this far to have some fun. She tried to stay as serious as she could the whole time, but when he came back out and he started to talk again, her lips gave way to a smile. She laughed a little and then looked over at Enrique, nodding. Sort of like a "that's well planned," nod. As the music once again started, she sung when it was her time to.
They had planned this song out earlier and they had agreed that Enrique could have a backup singer for the rap part. Shakira didn't mind and she definitely didn't want to make Enrique sound bad or feel awkward. That was the last thing she wanted to do. This concert had mainly been just to get the experience with performing with one another and to have some fun. There wasn't any purpose, but to make some fans happy and get to know each other better. Shakira had found out that Enrique not only had a hilarious sense of humor, but took his jokes to new extremes too. Something that would never get old, but could be pretty hurtful when not knowing he was joking. Shakira picked up on the fact though that he had, in fact, been joking.
As the song slowly faded, Shakira came up with what she would say. She hated being scripted and often times went from her heart. She felt that being scripted was less personal. I mean, this was her fans here and was she just going to read or remember lines from earlier, no not at all. Besides, the whole joke would've messed the script up. So, on her own it was. Now that Enrique has had his fun and we've both almost had an equal amount of songs, It's time for me to perform one of my own. We all love you Enrique, but enough is enough. She said the last sentence with a bright smile. The crowd started to chant, cheer, and laugh. She waited for the crowd to settle down before saying, So, I shall perform one of my own, but I'm not letting you all know which, just yet. They all started to sigh, a little bit dissapointed. Let's give a round of applause for Enrique. Before she could get anymore out, the crowd started clapping wildly. She clapped for him also as she smiled over and nodded happily, sort of like a, "great job nod." He did a great job and probably gave his manager a heart attack. The crowd laughed and soon she was under way with her song. So, last song of the night and I hope you all have had a great time. Goodnight Pinewood! Shakira smiled and then bowed a little bit before having the band strike up the last tune of the night.
Shakira had decided early on that she was going to perform, "Whenever, Wherever." As the crowd started to recognize the song, they started to dance and sing a long.
Lucky you were born that far away so We could both make fun of distance Lucky that I love a foreign land for The lucky fact of your existenceBaby I would climb the Andes solely To count the freckles on your body Never could imagine there were only Ten Million ways to love somebody
Le ro lo le lo le, Le ro lo le lo le Can't you see I'm at your feet
Whenever, wherever We're meant to be together I'll be there and you'll be near And that's the deal my dear
Thereover, hereunder You'll never have to wonder We can always play by ear But that's the deal my dear
Lucky that my lips not only mumble They spill kisses like a fountain Lucky that my breasts are small and humble So you don't confuse them with mountains Lucky I have strong legs like my mother To run for cover when I need it And these two eyes that for no other The day you leave will cry a river
Le ro le le lo le, Le ro le le lo le At your feet I'm at your feet
Whenever, wherever We're meant to be together I'll be there and you'll be near And that's the deal my dear
Thereover, hereunder You'll never have to wonder We can always play by ear But that's the deal my dear
Le ro le le lo le, Le ro le le lo le Think out loud Say it again
Le ro lo le lo le lo le Tell me one more time That you'll live Lost in my eyes
Whenever, wherever We're meant to be together I'll be there and you'll be near And that's the deal my dear
Thereover, hereunder You've got me head over heels There's nothing left to fear If you really feel the way I feel
As she was singing the too well known song, she reflected on her lyrics. She hadn't thought of them the way she had until now. They applied for how she was starting to feel about Enrique. He was sweet, kind, very funny, and seemed to get along with the crowds well. They had a lot in common and could share the same life difficulties with each other. They both were starting to get into horses and could be around each other on tour or just in life, as long as they kept his family life secret. She would hate for him to have to have his personal life exposed. As the song came to a close, she bowed and then ran backstage, the lights had dimmed and you could not hear anything, but the crowd cheering for both performers. They had a great night, full of fun and laughter. Shakira had met Enrique and a friend backstage, the one who she saw earlier. She waited patiently for someone to introduce her.

Enrique only laughed at Shakira's comment about enough being enough. He'd had his fun for the night, he'd let her just go on to her song without some sort of interruption from him. He nodded gratefully, and stepped back out of the spotlight. Once he was no longer in the light, it shifted so that only Shakira could be seen up on the stage. He walked back behind the stage, pulling his ear piece and mic off of his head as he did so, and tossing them to his manager who still looked pretty ticked because of his going off script. Lighten up will ya? Enrique said as he walked by him. Have a little fun, it's not illegal.
One of the stage hands came up to him and told him that he had a guest waiting to meet him. Enrique rolled his eyes, expecting some obsessive fan that had gotten a backstage pass most likely through some call in contest on the radio. He sighed and shook his head. Better get it over with sooner than later. He said, Just point me in the right direction. The stage hand took hold of his shoulders and turned him in the direction of the person waiting for him. Thanks. he muttered and started forwards, forcing one of those "I love my fans" smiles to pull at the corners of his mouth. They always bought it.
As he neared though, he realized that he actually knew the person, but from where? The closer he got, the more familiar she looked...only older. Older...yes, that was it. He had to have known her in Spain, and really the only person he cared to remember from Spain was Lexi. Yes, that was who it was. His expression changed from a fake, "I'm happy to see you," to a "good lord I haven't seen you in ages!" sort of expression. It really had been a long time since he'd seen her. He'd left Spain at 18, and had been here for four years now, so it had been about that time, maybe more, since he had last seen her.
Lexi? He said almost cautiously, as if he couldn't believe he was actually seeing her here. She had been one of the few people that he'd known that had encouraged him to go and audition for the American agent. She'd been one of the few who actually believed that he could achieve that dream to become a musician. Even when his own family failed him, she'd still been there. Of course, she had known him as Aaron Torres, not Enrique Iglesias, but back here he had no "enemies." Almost all of them knew about his other life, and he wasn't worried about any of them going creepy stalker on him or exposing the other side of Enrique Iglesias.
He ducked under a beam type support thing and came up along side her. This was definitely the Lexi he knew, older yes, but still Lexi. At first he wasn't really sure what to do or how to react, but as always, it didn't take him long to make up his mind. He wasn't exactly what you would be prone to call a shy person...so why not? He came to a stop, and threw his arms around her. Call it a little forward, but what would you do it you were seeing one of your closest friends after four plus years?

Lexi stepped to the side and continued to listen to them chat and have their fun on stage. It was what they did. She listened as Shakira kicked him off the stage and let a chuckle escape her. It was funny. She waited patiently as he stepped of stage and exchanged words with his manager. She didn't care if he took his time she wanted to surprise him. For all he knew she could be some obssessed fan that was rich enough to buy a back stage pass. She couldn't wait to see his face when he saw her. Course she wasn't even sure if her remembered her but odds were he would. They were pretty close back then. How she missed it. They pulled plenty of stunts when they were younger. Most of them thought up by her. She was a trouble maker. But time had changed her. She wasn't a lost little girl who was forced to be proper british and such. She was a grown woman with a career set up before her. She was on her way to the olympics ready to take the callenge down one jump at a time.
She smiled sweetly as she saw him walk around the corner. He hadn't changed much appearance wise. Sure he was older then when she last saw him but he didn't look old old. Just lost a bit of that baby fat and he was slightly taller now too. He looked good though, happy, she was glad he went out and tried for what he wanted. She was supportive of him and pushed him to do this. She promised him she would always be there for him. As a friend of course. He was like her brother and she never felt that sort of attraction to him. Sure she knew he was attractive but she grew up with him being family and it would be just wrong to be attracted to your brother that way. She laughed as his face changed. She recognized that look he had and then how he switched it. She hadn't seen him in so long. Far too long. She was glad to bump into him.
He said her name almost questioningly and a wide grin spread over her face. "The one and only" She joked and let a laughed. God it was good to see him, especially this happy. She couldn't believe it had been so long. It seemed like just yesterday she was talking him into ditching school. Yeah that was her. They used to jump the back gate to the grape vines owned by the Triads. Some old man with something stuck up his butt. He was always growchy and they wouold constantly sneak through his vineyard to get to the big oak and creek on the outside of town. She could get there blind folded. But that was a long time ago. She hadn't seen that place in years and didn't even know if it was there. She looked him up and down. Man he looked good. She knew him as Aaron her best friend as kids. And now here he was Enrique world known singer that had like a million little girls hearts. It was crazy.
He came over and embraced her in a hug. It sort of caught her by surprise but deep down she expected it. He never was a shy person and with her well lets just say she was surprised herr didn't pick her up and kiss her on the cheek. This was a bit more mellow. But still to anyone else to would seem totally odd. She hugged him back nice and tight. "Gawd its good to see you." She missed him. Her best friend. She didn't have many due to moving all over and in spain not being the traditional girl that pranced around in flowy skirts she didn't fit in well with most the girls. She was the one who stole her fathers prized horses and took them on mad dashes through the vineyard over the creek through the woods and back. She didn't make it a habit though. She had only down that a few times. Mainly just because she had 3 of her own horses she didn't need to worry about steeling his but just for the rush she would. She got into the most trouble in spain with Aaron. But over all they were pretty good at not getting caught.
He was like the sibling she never had being an only child that is. She was the one all the other girls hated because she was rich had anything she wanted and was an only child. She never saw it that way. She was just a rough n dirty girl that didn't realise how spoiled she was because she didn't take it for granite. She didn't ask for 3 horses a huge house and both her parents attention and love. All she wanted to do was ride and be adventurous. She loved exploring and getting out into the world. But not society the actual world the untamed parts. But she didn't get much of that being forced into school and having a rep to keep up. Aaron was her escape of that. Her dad was very strict and her mother was proper but she just wanted to hang out and climb tree's and ride. Everyone may of thought her life was easy. But she didn't see it that way. She just took everything as it came and made it seem as if she had it easy. Being a very easy person to hang out with because she never complained. But only Aaron was the only one who actually had taken the time to understand her. He was her best friend. Now here they both grown up successful and living life. He was well known singer she was on her way to the Olympics. He was singing songs with Shakira and she was leaping over fences, like she always had done. Tonight was one she hoped would lead to a reconnected friendship.

Shakira had bowed before running off stage. The lights dimmed and the crowd was still cheering. She asked one of the stage crew where Enrique had gone and then pointed her in a general direction. She walked that way and then saw Enrique and a friend talking. She walked over next to Enrique and stood quietly while they greeted each other. They definitely seemed like really good old friends. Shakira laughed a little as Enrique was a little hesitant to do anything, but then embraced her into a huge hug. She watched and wished that some of her greatest friends were here to help her along the way of her fly away career, but most of them didn't want to have to change or learn a new language. She sighed a little bit, but then dropped the thoughts, not wanting to dampen the festive spirits of the two.
She did have her sister as a best friend, but she also didn't come. Shakira's sister thought of coming, but she was still in school and didn't want to have to come here to an american school. She would feel left out and scared with her big sister off singing and having a good time and herself being dragged out of bed to go to some foreign school. Anyway, they always used to play around and have a good time. Shakira was always the best roll model for her younger sister and her sister always wanted to look up to her. They weren't like most sisters who faught regularly. They always seemed to get a long and hang out with the same people no matter what the age difference was. Shakira was heart broken, but also excited when she found out she was coming here. She couldn't imagine life without her sister and best friend, but she overcame it and is now a big musical hit everywhere.
Shakira was happy that Enrique had found an old friend to hang with. She was even hoping that she could find a friend in the new girl. All three of them could hang around each other and maybe even help Enrique keep his second life a total secret. There were endless possibilities when it came to new friendships and Shakira was pleased at the opportunity of meeting someone new. She waited a few moments for the two to talk before putting out her hand for a hand shake. Hey, I'm Shakira. And you are? She asked curiously. She didn't want to be some stranger and just stand there, so she politely introduced herself. Shakira was usually shy around new people, but this time, she was still sort of in "performing" mode and wasn't afraid of being social.

After a minute, Enrique let go of Lexi and stepped back from her a bit. She'd changed a lot in the past four years, though she still looked the same. He could still hardly believe she was here...when he left Spain he had sort of figured he'd never see her again. She had always moved around a lot, and he had no idea where the music world would be taking him once he moved to the States. But now here she was, standing right in front of him. I didn't think I'd be seeing you here, He said after second or two, but man have I missed you! It did seem like only yesterday that they'd been running around and getting in trouble in Spain, but at the same time it felt like a million years.
He stepped to the side a bit as Shakira came up to them to allow the two to introduce each other. Now he really couldn't stop smiling. He had two great girls here with him, one of them already a good friend, and the other one very very close to becoming a good friend and more...or he hoped anyway. Shakira was sort of turning into a bit of a "love interest" for him, but he wasn't going to say anything about it yet. He didn't want to come off as too forward and scare her away. He knew better than that, so he was going to give it a bit of time and see if he could figure out what Shakira thought about him before saying a word along the lines of becoming more than friends.
He could hear the announcer listing off the names of his band members and the crowd screaming and cheering after each one. Shortly after, they all came jogging back stage like they usually did, and headed for him. There was "Pedro" the drummer, ""Javier" the guitarist, "Richie" on the keyboard/special effects, "Mario" the bass, and "Martin" the electric guitarist. The five of them all gathered around the little group, each of them glancing between Lexi and Enrique. They'd never seen him actually smile like that when he was around a fan. Who's your friend 'Rique? Javier asked, who, as everyone knew, was quite the "lady's man."
Enrique just looked at him and shook his head, Don't even think about it Javier, He said, obviously joking but serious at the same time. you touch her and I'll kill you. Javier and the other guys all just chuckled to them selves. They knew him well enough not to mess with anyone who actually was a friend of his. They'd been his band ever since he'd started out, so there wasn't much about him that they didn't already know. It was sort of a good thing for a band, for everyone to know about everyone else. They were sort of like a family, and they all got along just fine.

It was hard for Lexi to believe that she was actually seeing Aaron. They never spent a day apart when they were kids but then suddenly hadn't seen each other in several years and now it was as if nothing happened. Well it was obvious that she had missed a lot. But she still felt like she knew him and they were best friends. He looked happy. She always knew he had a gift but this was far more then even she could imagine. "Heck i never thought i'd be here!" She said back. It was true... She never thought she'd see him again after they both split... With as much as she moved around. And with him and his new career. "I missed you too. But i needn't ask how you've been." She looked around and smiled. He was obviously ok with his career choice.
She turned as Shakira walked up. She was a gorgeous girl and she noticed something that most people couldn't see. There was something there. But she would keep that to herself till she spoke with Aaron later. She smiled sweetly "Hi shakira i'm Lexi, a friend of Enrique's." Her british accent was totally obvious. She couldn't really hide it but when she was speaking spanish you would never know she was british. She was just gifted in language that way. She could speak fluently Spanish, English, German, and french. But she was rarely anywhere where she needed that. But occasionally she'll run across someone who will speak another language with her. It was fun to pretend to be a tourist.
Next think she knew The band was coming toward her. A few of the guys flashed her smiles but one was thingyy enough to ask Enrique who she was. She laughed at his response. Yeah he was like a very protective brother. "Hi Javier, I'm Enrique's friend Lexi.' Her accent was still defiant. She didn't mind being hit on she could fend for herself. And Aaron of all people would know that. She didn't take much crap. She was a horse girl and didn't take anything from anyone horse or human. But she knew it was all in good fun. She looked around the group.. never in a million years would she ever pictured herself in this group.
Now being here she was excited about the stories they could tell. She kind of hoped that they could all or just her and Aaron.. or whomever could go out and grab a bite to eat and chat. They all seemed so friendly and so comfortable around one another. She was glad she decided to to to this concert. But she also knew she had to get up early for her training session with Gemini. But she was used to staying up late and waking up early. This would be no different. It was amazing to see Aaron again. She didn't realise how much she missed him until she saw him. It had been far to long.

Shakira smiled and laughed as the two seemed to really need to catch up. She was happy for them and didn’t mind whatever they did in front of her. It didn’t seem that they really liked or loved each other, more of just a mutual friendship. It was something she didn’t have with very many people and maybe, just maybe she could join in on it. She would be glad to meet some other new people around the area that could help her and Aaron sneak around without his second life being exposed. It would be the only real way to get around without the press bugging about what Aaron or Enrique was hiding from them. As the girl looked around, Shakira smiled her way and then back at Aaron. Life was good right now and she didn’t want it to change.
As she heard Lexi introduce herself, she smiled. It was always good to know some of Aaron’s friends. Hi Lexi, Nice to meet you. Lexi seemed nice from what Shakira had experienced already. She could see a tighter relationship between then three possibly brew over the next few weeks. It seemed like it was just prone to happen if Lexi could help them get around without the press, something Shakira truly though she could do without for a while. They were always annoying celebrities just to get the inside scoop. Did they not get that the stars were people themselves and some of them actually had lives. Why didn't the press go pick on the stupid, rich, and annoying stars that wanted nothing but fame. It was honestly quite pointless.
Shakira watched content as some of the band members tried to flirt wtih Lexi. She laughed some when Aaron had been all protective and serious, but joking at the same time. He had the amazing ability to do that. He did it on stage as a part of his "prank" and he was doing now. It was one more thing that Shakira liked about him. He could be very serious when he needed and he could also be funny, but he could be both at the same time too. It was a priceless feature that not many guys had and it was worth it. Shakira had watched the band for a few moments more before returning to gaze to the conversation she had been having. She glanced over at Aaron and smiled slightly before turning her gaze back to Lexi. So, tell me...how long have you guys known each other. The conversation was kind of dead. So, Shakira wanted to find about just how long they went back. It was interesting to see how much of great friends they were. It wasn't even considered friendship, but more of a brother and sister relationship, like the one she had with her sister, but the other way around. She looked around the stage and remembered how great this performance was. It was special to her and always would be no matter what. She gained some new friends and got closer to a great guy...the perfect guy, she thought.
