Welcome to Pinewood Stables!
Please read these rules carefully.

General Behavior
1.) Do not harass other players. This involves sexual harassment, racial harassment, ect. If you violate this rule, you will be given a warning and a temporary ban. A second offense will result in a more sever punishment. We really don't want to ban anyone, but this is not acceptable and we would like this site to be safe and fun for everyone. Please report any violations to this rule to an admin.
2.) Respect the admins and moderator's authority. Challenging it will result in a warning. A second or third offense will end in a ban. The severity of the ban depends on the situation.
3.) No stolen material or inappropriate content will EVER be posted here. If this content is found or reported, it will be taken down. We can't deal with copyright infringement or anything of the like, so please do your part and make sure you own or have the rights to whatever you post. Thank you.
4.) Please no fighting. I can't stress this enough. It's not worth it, and we want to keep this site fun. If a disagreement does arise, please be responsible about it and keep it between yourselves or in PMs. If the disagreement involves the site, or you think the other member's behavior violates any of the rules, please report it to an admin and we'll do our bests to resolve it.
5.) You must follow the forms that will be provided when registering a character, a horse, ect. It won't be accepted otherwise.
6.) Use common sense and don't give out personal information on here like your address, your phone number, ect. Just like anything over the internet, you can never be too sure of who you are talking to. Obviously, this means not planning real life meetings if you don't already know this person, ect. We want to keep this place safe.
Roleplaying
1.) As a semi-literate rpg, we do require a minimum of 2 paragraphs and 300 words. We don't believe this is asking too much. Short posts can get annoying and hard to reply to. If you have trouble with reaching 300 words, PM an admin and we'd be happy to help you out and give you a few tips, but there can be no exceptions made. Note: This is a fairly new rule, but we do intend to enforce it. Thank you.
2.) Correct spelling and grammar is an absolute must. We understand typos and spelling issues sometimes, but please put some effort into spelling and grammar. We will not tolerate any chat speak in your posts. If you are found using chat speak (example: r for are, u for you, ect.), you will be sent a warning. Chatspeak in the C-box is fine, but don't overuse it as it can get annoying and hard to read.
3.) No power-playing shall be tolerated. It's never fun to have someone play your character for you, so remember to only write your own character thoughts, actions, ect.
Example:
Tolerated: "He pushed Billy, hoping he would fall over."
Not tolerated: "He pushed Billy and laughed as he fell and broke every bone in his body."
That's not very fun if you're playing Billy now is it? So no power playing. If you still do not know what this means, PM an admin and they will give you more examples.
4.) No God-moding. No one is perfect, and neither should your character. Be sure to include flaws, bad habits, personality issues, trials, ect. in your character's bio, personality, and posts. It's never fun to rp with someone who has a perfect character...
5.) ALL posts must be written in third person (including your character application). No first or second person posting is allowed.
Example:
Acceptable: "She went to the stable for her riding lesson"
Unacceptable: "I went to the stable for my riding lesson"
On that same note, please make sure everything is written in past tense ('said' instead of 'says'). Tenses are very important. Note: this, along with the minimum word requirement, is a fairly new rule, but we do intend to start enforcing it. Thank you.
6.) Please understand that this is a PG-13 site. That means no explicit R rated content will be tolerated. If we think a post is getting out-of-hand, you will be notified immediately and asked to either edit it or remove the thread and keep it to PMs. If you do not respond in a reasonable amount of time, we have the right to edit it ourselves or remove and lock the thread. If you have a question regarding what we consider PG-13, please PM the main administrator.
After you sign up
1.) The first thing to do is register your character by using the "Female Application" or "Male Application" forms. All character application threads should be placed in the "Pending Applications" sub-board and wait to be looked over and accepted by an admin or mod before you begin rping. You may NOT start an rp thread until your character has been accepted.
a.) You may only have one character on each account. This is a must. One character is defined by one human, meaning that your human may have multiple horses on the same account. The password is dude. If you wish to have more than one human, please make them on a separate account. On that same note, each character should have one signature and one avatar.
b.) Once your registered character is accepted, you must change your display name ("profile" and then "modify profile" at the top of the page) to your character's name. (If you need help with this, message an admin and we will be happy to do this for you)
2.) Next you may register your character's horse or request to lease a Pinewood Stables horse from the Pinewood Horse List. As always, please remember to follow the form provided when both creating and/or leasing a horse.
Thank you for reading, if you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to PM an admin. After all, that's what we're here for is it not? :] We hope you have fun and enjoy the site!
