A v r i l ~why don't you shove an argument down my throat as well~ A
vril was already in a hot rage when coming home from her concert where she had just sang the songs from her newest track 'The Best Damn Thing'. Her parents had showed up to take her home right in the middle of the concert because her grandpa was dying. Don't get her wrong, she loves her grandpa, but doesn't Love her parents running up on stage and screaming in front of everyone who is her fan that she needed to cry or anything they ere there for her. She jaw was tight and she was back stage now, her parents had dragged her back and she could hear the crowd cheering for her to come back and even some boos, which made her even more furious. "What the h.ell! Why don't you just get on top of Mount Everest with a microphone and scream everything about me to the world!" Hr parents looked confused because they didn't sarcastic comments and replied slowly back, "No one would hear us, honey. Everest is this second highest mountain in the world." Her mother pointed out with a proud look on her face, able to remember these things. Avril stood there her mouth almost dropped open. "I hate you." Avril said her teeth clenched together and crossed her arms tears springing in her eyes. Avril didn't even wait to see their faces and whipped around and rushed back on her stage and started singing the rest of her songs without even telling the crowd that was part of the show, or that it was nothing, she acted like nothing had happened. The whole I'm she sang everything become more clear to her. She wasn't mad at her parents, she was letting her anger out on her parents, the anger coming from her grandpa dying. He had taught her a lot of her singing stuff and this was just so...sudden. He wasn't sick he wasn't in the hospital and he wasn't extremely old and it hit her, maybe it just hit her a little to hard. Plus, her parents made it dramatic in front of all her crowd and said it into her microphone she would have to deal with deal with critics little about her crazy lunatic parents. Avril was out o breath by the time she hit her last song and she was so confused and she wanted to just leave the face of the Earth and come to a time where everything seemed to be perfect. Avril went into her hanging room and shimmied off her stage clothes and looked at the wardrobe. Her had was still spinning and she decided on going out of town and getting a drink. She had a fake id card and they fell for it every time and she couldn't handle her parents right now and still felt guilty for swearing at them and telling she hated them. Avril grabbed a black dress that wasn't fancy but nor was it to casual. Just right for going to a bar where there is drinking and dancing. The teen grabbed her silver cross necklace and hung that around her neck now feeling a little better having some real fun, escaping the stress, would be a nice change. Avril slipped some flat, but nice, shoes on lifted her toes up and down getting the feel of them as she excited her dressing room. Like after all concerts she wore her hat out so none of the crowd would recognize her and she went out the back where there were only a few people. Avril popped into her car and started the engine on ready to get going. Avril drove into she saw the night club and was already feeling her whole body realize and she hadn't even had a sip of beer. Avril let herself slid out of the car after she had parked it and made her hips sway as she walked toward the entrance trying to get herself warmed up. Avril looked at the two huge men compared to her, since she only stood five foot four, and they looked down at her holding out their hands wanting her id cards. She shuffled around until she found it and then delicately slipped into into their hands a small grin on her face. They checked it over and looked at the picture and shrugged at each other giving it back. "Go right ahead miss."Avril gave a nod of thanks and the second her hit inside she saw it was more crowded ten before and felt the need for a drink right away. Avril headed over to the bar tender and swayed her head and pointed toward the beer and nodded. Yeah, she loved beer unlike most girls. For some reason she always saw more guys drinking beer then girls, just one of those thing you notice when your bored and lost in thoughts. Avril didn't really plan on getting drunk or anything, she just wanted enough to ease her pain inside. Avril leaned back into her chair and glanced around seeing some guys in the corner of the dance club looking at her and she forgot to put her hat back on when she got out of her car, which meant everyone here must know who she was. Avril didn't care anymore though, most people looked to drunk and to busy half striping half dancing, to notice anyhow. Avril stopped the mug fulled with bar as the tender slid it down the counter and she flicked some money back across and let her soft lips reach the glass taking a small sip. Beer was one of the best damn things.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Yeah, so what if he wasn't much of a party/club sort of person? There was nothing, whatsoever wrong with getting a lay of the land was there? Besides, he'd already been here for two weeks, and at some point he was going to HAVE to make a public appearance. He was hoping there weren't many soccer fans in Pinewood so that he could go mostly unnoticed...though that would be a slightly difficult task. Luckily, most people had forgotten about him when he had taken a year off due to injury and come back to the States. Before, he had been a pretty big sensation, after all, not every 18 year old got to play professional soccer right out of high school. But now that he was 21, and starting his career all over again, there weren't throngs of people flocking around him everywhere he went. You guessed it, he hates the limelight.
In the short time he'd been here, he hadn't met a soul, which was just fine by him. He was perfectly happy to just have his horse, who regularly tried to kill him, and his Great Dane, who was the most affectionate animal on the planet, as his only companions. A couple of "the guys," though, had shown up, unexpectedly, and were dying to see the town...in other words, were dying to go to the local club and meet some girls. Most professional athletes were like that, and his teammates were no exception. They actually liked the fame that came with being in professional sports, they reveled in it, and everywhere they went, they were determined to let everyone out there know that they were famous.
Normally, Santiago would have just let them go on their own, and stayed home, but none of them had driven down here...meaning that if they went anywhere they would need a car, and Santiago knew better than to let them drive his. No, both of the guys were well known for getting drunk, attempting to drive home, and destroying the vehicle they were driving. At first Santiago had insisted that they just stay there and not go to the club, but they were basically addicts, and their drug was clubbing and partying and drinking...there was no stopping them once they got started, and tonight they were particularly insistent, to the point that Santiago gave up and agreed to go.
It wasn't far, from Santiago's house to the club, and it had only taken about half an hour to get there. Unfortunately for Santiago, there were a lot of people there...though his teammates couldn't be more pleased with the situation. Before even an hour had passed, both of them had at least two girls completely enthralled with them. Santiago just shook his head, and took a seat outside of the main action. He wasn't like most people in his genre of life, he rarely, if ever, drank, he didn't smoke, very few clubs knew he even existed, and he didn't throw himself all over the first pretty girl he saw when he stepped into a room.
Santiago was interrupted from his thoughts, when the other two momentarily left their "dates" and came over to where he was. "Hey Santi!" one of them said, "you need to find yourself a girl!" He just smiled and shook his head...they'd been drinking. "No really!" his teammate insisted, "We found the perfect one! Right over there!" He turned and pointed towards a girl sitting at the bar, one anyone in their right mind would recognize as Avril Lavigne. "Her name's Avril Lavigne," his teammate said, too drunk to realize who she really was, "Carmen told me that."
Santiago shook his head again, "Your dates are waiting for you." He said, noticing the girls calling their names. The other two probably didn't even remember who they were, and wouldn't have recognized their names if they'd been shouted over a loud speaker. Typical. They turned back to their girls, and left Santi to his thoughts again. He wasn't going to wait around here for too much longer, and he probably wouldn't have to. The guys would probably either get thrown out, or get totally wasted and pass out within the next two hours. When that happened, he'd just take them back home, and leave them to wake up with massive migraines the next morning. The same thing happened every time.

Music was pounding hard and the floor even seemed to be shaking from everyone dancing so wildly and she almost wanted to go join them. Half her beer was gone and she could no longer feel her toes. Not that it was weird or anything, just when she drank she got really loosened up, whether she was drunk or not. Avril wasn't a huge fun of getting drunk but acting like she was drunk was a whole different story. Avril was a hard girl to understand... she had so many different sides to her, it all depended on how you looked upon her. People who only saw her on television thought she was some snob who was just another one of those filthy million-airs, big deal, sort of way. Some people saw her as a party animal who acted drunk within one sip of beer, but yet she still seemed self conscious of herself. Then, some could see her soft side where she understood everything they said and they trusted her fully, but that hadn't happened yet.
Avril let her optics shift around the room catching a small group of guys walk in who looked...hot. She smiled silently to herself as she watched one guy take a seat more off to the side, more out of the action and then the other two seemed to already dash off to some two girls who were of course, beautiful, and they just sort of went from there. It was odd to her how the other man didn't join his friends, but it already reminded her of herself. She should be out dancing and finding some gorgeous dream guy to party it out with, but she rarely even attempted that. Because every man that has looked at her only saw her as another doll to play with and with bonus points, she was famous. It happened once to Avril when she was in her sophomore year in high school and her boyfriend cheated on her, then bam, they were over. Still Avril has dated many guys and thought of them all the same... cheaters and lier's, but this man seemed different for some reason.
Avril brought her mug to her lips again and then felt someone's hand being brought down on her arm and she whipped around to face the man. He wasn't half bad looking, but Avril couldn't hate a man more who was full of himself. He gave a crooked smile, obviously drunk out of his mind and pecked her cheek with his lips. Avril shot out of her chair, but didn't say anything, she found herself calmer then what she thought. This guy was drunk and probably didn't have a clue who he even was so Avril pushed her beer glass back to the tender and gave passed another one to her. With that Avril moved down a couple seats away from the man who now looked confused and ready to pass out. She now found herself closer to the man she had seen a few minutes again, the one who was sitting out of the action.
Avril took a deep breath before swallowing half her beer in one huge gulp and gave a small cough after she swallowed it, that was one strong taste. Avril leaned back in her chair before she heard her name and her ears pinpointed where it came from and she saw the two guys again, they must of left their dates for a moment. Plus, they now looked completely drunk and ready to do anything and the man glanced at her, the other must of mentioned her or something. Avril had only one and a half beers ad had already forgotten she was here to get rid of the thought of her grandpa dying. Her mind rushed as the tow left him alone again and Avril decided to make her move. Why not? Maybe she could bring a little excitement to his night. Plus he didn't look like those other guys she had dated.
Avril let her feet hit the ground as she slipped out her her bar chair still holding her beer mug with only little left in it. She walked over to the man and wasn't even aware of the small grin come out of its hiding spot behind her lips. She knew he hadn't even taken a sip of anything the whole, so whatever he did he was completely aware of. Avril was surprised how fast her feet had carried her Ive to him and she slipped into a seat beside him and gave her head a slight tilt. "May I sit here... I just heard my name and decided to come see." A smile was already lit on her face as she spoke. It wasn't flirty or weird, the way she had said it, it just seemed like she was an average girl. Avril carefully waited to see how he responded.

Santiago forced himself to not laugh as one of the two tripped over the air and nearly fell on his face in front of the whole world. They were exceedingly lucky that there weren't any sports reporters here, otherwise, they'd both be on the front page of some sporting magazine, totally wasted, and not even able to walk straight. Their coach would kill them if that happened. He didn't like his players to make them selves look like idiots in front of the world. Santiago had just about done that at the end of last season when his horse had about killed him, and a picture of him lying face up on the ground with the horse charging towards him, as well as a picture of his arm dripping with blood from the horse biting him, had spread like wildfire across the internet and sports magazines. Luckily for Santiago, his coach liked him, and had laughed more than gotten upset about the ordeal.
These next two hours were going to be long ones, and boring too. He supposed he could just leave for a while, maybe go check and make sure his horse hadn't broken out and attacked someone...again...and come back later to pick them up. Then again, if they kept drinking at the rate they were going, they could pass out or get kicked out sooner than he expected. No, he would have to wait here for them. He knew better than to try to convince them to leave "early" aka before either of those two things happened, so he might as well just settle in and wait.
He glanced up as he caught a motion in the corner of his eye. Peripheral vision was a gift, one that he'd developed quite well while playing soccer. It wasn't exactly easy to sneak up on him because of it. This person, though, wasn't exactly sneaking. It was the same girl his teammates had tried to get him to go hook up with, Avril Lavigne. He couldn't say he exactly expected the rock star to live in Pinewood, although, he didn't exactly read up on what the latest celebrities were doing and where they lived and whatnot, so he wasn't exactly surprised that he didn't know that.
He was slightly confused as to why she was coming his way though...he wasn't exactly the "party animal" most celebrities were interested in. But once again, what did he know? It was entirely possible that she wasn't like most celebrities, she could actually be quite nice. People were too stereotypical these days, he wasn't going to judge her before he'd even said so much as one word to her. In fact, he probably wouldn't judge her at all, he wasn't that sort of person. He liked to get to know people, and unless they were pompous jerks, homosexual, or all around freaks, he generally got along well with them.
He returned the smile as she asked her question and slid into the seat next to him. "I believe you already are." He said, not unkindly or rudely. He was still unsure if that was her real reason for coming over here or not, but that wasn't a big concern at the moment, and so what if it wasn't? He wasn't going to go delving into her mind to try to figure it out. "Their 'dates' were apparently telling them about you." he said in reference to her last comment, "but they're probably too drunk to know what they were saying." Okay, so he knew they were too drunk to know what they were saying, but he wasn't going to just go out and say it.
Out of the corner of his eye, he could see one of the two giving him a thumbs up, but he chose to ignore it and not even look that way. He was all too used to being around those guys, and about thirty others all at the same time. He'd been in more...interesting to say the least...situations with them than this one, and he wasn't too worried about it. It could be worse, he knew, it could always be worse.

The day had been long, working with Cherokee for an hour on dressage work, teaching some lessons at another barn and also doing many other daily barn chores there, kept the day busy. The work had started early in the morning around 9am and didn't end until 4pm in the afternoon. There had been a lunch break for all of the staff around 12pm staff and then the work continued. Once done at that farm, Liz drove her silver Ford Tarus to Pinewood Stable. There, she tacked up Cherokee around 3pm and then rode for the next hour. She untacked him, put him away, and then headed home to clean up.
A few days earlier, She and Logan had been out on a trail ride and it had been wonderful. They spent time really talking to each other and getting to know each other. They even agreed to go to the Pinewood dance together. The dance was coming up soon and Liz was starting to get extremely excited. She had finally found a guy that she liked and that she thought liked her back. She sighed happily as she pulled into her gravel driveway. She parked the car and then got out. She closed the door and then walked into her house, after unlocking it. She immediately headed for the shower and cleaned up. She had one place in mind to chill out and relax the rest of the evening, the local club.
After finishing, she found a black satin shirt that revealed some skin, but not too much. She definitely didn't want to seem trampy. Anyway, she found some tighter jeans and slipped them on. Her outfit was perfect and it outlined her curves very well. She slipped a pair of fancy flats on and then grabbed her purse. The last thing she wanted was be dancing on heels the whole time. She headed out the door and within 2 hours she had cleaned up. Her hair was tied back in a messy bun, with parts of her grown out bangs in her face. She quietly hopped in her car and drove off, heading into town for the club.
Upon arriving to the club, she parked and then got out. She grabbed her purse and fixed her shirt, that was now slightly wrinkly. She played with her hair and made it look a little more messy. She then walked into the club, once showing her ID to the guys at the door. This place is packed, she thought. She sighed, the heat was already starting to reach her. She looked around at all of the hot guys, but before she got involved she went to get a drink. She sat next to a girl, who she thought she recognized as a famous singer and then another guy, whom she didn't know at all. She got a beer and then started to drink it. She turned her head and looked around in the club. There were lots of guys that were all over other girls, she rolled her eyes and just decided to dance alone, unless asked by someone.
She watched quietly as some guys who knew the guy close to her came over. She tried to avoid their eyes, seeing that they were drunk. She hated guys like that, ones that went to clubs purely for the fun of getting drunk and then becoming very intimate with other girls. She rolled her beautiful eyes and then continued to drink her beer. Soon she started to feel the stress of her working day melt away. She sighed happily and then thought back to her date with Logan. She dreamed he could be here right now, so she'd have someone to dance with, but she put the thought in the back of her mind and returned to reality.
She thought more about who the girl next to her could be and she soon found an answer, Avril Lavigne. Liz was a fan, but she decided not to go bombarding her with questions and conversation, guessing that she probably came to get away from all of the fame and press chasing her. Liz flicked some hair in her face over her shoulders and then once again turned her chair around watching everyone dancing. She looked at Avril and then the guy next to her, her gazed turned absently to the dance floor and all of the people on it. Some hip-hop song that she'd never heard of was on, but she did like the beat it had, her fingers moving along with the thumps it was giving off.
She smiled as a few guys checked her out, some seeming sober, others totally drunk. She watched a few of the sober guys dance and smirked to herself. She'd have to dance with a few of them, maybe even the once closest to her, not as a date or to hit on, but to just dance. She loved to dance, especially to songs she loved. She seemed to have a certain presence on the dance floor that she really didn't have anywhere else. To some people, she had seemed more confident dancing. She watched carefully and picked up some new moves before returning to her unfinished beer.

Avril crossed her legs in her seat and closed her eyes for only a second. She found herself growing comfortable beside this man and she could swear she knew who he was... she was running ideas where he could be from. He didn't look much like a singer and looked a lot like he was athletic. Then her mind snapped and realized he was Santiago Perez who played on the soccer team, but had gotten hurt for year in a horse accident and had to take one year off, it had been all over the papers. She opened her eyes and smiled at him, she couldn't help it. Avril didn't' want to be like a tramp or anything, it was just a small grin toward a great looking guy. She let her eyes drift very quickly seeing one of the two guys who had said her name trip and almost slam is face into the ground, which made her chuckle. Some guys...
Avril tilted her head seeing a girl sit beside her and Avril could already guess she knew who she was. She liked how the girl didn't jump on her though, with questions or anything... like most people did, it did get annoying. At least some people understood her and cared about how she might actually feel. Avril took another small sip of her beer and glanced back at Santiago and gave a slight nod as he spoke, what he said was true, she was already sitting there. "Oh, sorry I'm just a little out of it tonight." Avril said gesturing more toward her drink, but the truth was she was barely out of it at all. Not that she was lying, she was out of it inside... finding out someone who you grew up with, like it or not, died... hurts.
Avril nodded her head toward them, "More like their tramps." She giggled watching the girls they were dancing with and for some reason they just reminded her of some girls who just couldn't live life without having some boy drooling at their sides. "Probably? I watched them come in and I have never seen anyone get drunk so fast." Avril smirked and her tone was pleasant only a slight hunt of teasing in it. Then she looked at the man then at her beer and lifted one eyebrow. "You need some beer. Let yourself go." Avril winked at him and held out her mug, but she wasn't being rude at all. She was saying it in a very temping way and raising her eyebrow almost like a challenge, but somehow at the same time she looked so innocent.
Avril glanced one more time at the girl still with her hand out with the mug filled with beer in it. She didn't want to ignore the girl and right now she looked like she wanted someone to dance with too. Avril's face lit up and maybe after she got Santiago to a little something to drink, they could all go out on the dance floor and party it up a little. Avril let her butt sink into her chair trying to make herself even more comfortable and then slapped her hand against the counter and the tender already knew what they meant. She smiled as another beer was slid toward her and this time she switched hands gesturing the full beer to Santiago and tilted her head back slightly and took the last few sips of her beer she had already started. Avril smiled and said, "It makes you feel a hell of lot better."

"You'd be surprised." Santi said in relation to her having never seen anyone get drunk as fast as his teammates. He was currently not exactly wanting to be affiliated with them at all, but seeing as how they kept looking towards him and pointing and whatnot, he figured in a matter of minutes, everyone in the whole club would know that he was with them. It was slightly embarrassing, but he was pretty used to it by now. "In England I swear they'd get drunk off the smell of alcohol." It was true. Down in Europe, just about everyone drank to their heart's content...which was a lot. You didn't even need an ID down there, they didn't care if you were eleven or one hundred and two. If you wanted it, you got it. Unfortunate, but true.
Santiago also noticed the girl who came and sat next to them, and wasn't exactly sure what to think of her either. There were dozens of people out on the dance floor who she could probably get to dance with her, but she wasn't going out there. Ah well, her life, none of his business really. Although, this was honestly the first place he'd seen two girls drinking straight beer...that wasn't exactly common. Most women had their fruity little alcoholic drinks, not hard core beer. He guessed Pinewood wasn't like most places in relation to that.
He turned his attention back to Avril as she gestured towards the new beer she'd ordered. "Thanks," he said with a smile, "but I've gotta drive those two idiots home tonight, and I don't think it'd be a good idea if all three of us were wasted." He could see the headlines now. Three men from MLS killed in crash. The article to follow would probably say something along the lines of, they were speeding, all three intoxicated, none of them wearing seat belts...and so on and so forth. No, he definitely wasn't going to be drinking tonight. It was bad enough that he was still riding that "crazy horse with an intent to kill." He doubted if his coach and employer would appreciate it if he decided to drive while under the influence as well.
Sure, the season was currently not in session, but still, he was employed by the team, and as such, he had to keep in mind that they had standards, and one of them was to always have a designated driver. Since Santi had rejoined the team, that hadn't been a problem. He was always more than willing to be the one who didn't drink...if they could convince him to come that is. He was much more conservative than most professional athletes. It was possible that it was because of that accident when he was playing for Britain and got the cleats to the knee and had to take a year off, that he'd realized that he wasn't invincible. Or possibly because he knew that in the morning he had an insane horse who hated him and every other human being that he would have to deal with, and the last thing he needed was a hangover. Liz had been watching the guys point and act like stupid idiots while being drunk. She didn't want to drink too much or else she'd look like that. She'd make herself look idiotic and completely irresponsible while drinking, if drinking too much that is. She definitely liked to drink, but not to the point where she was totally wasted. She did it to relax and one drink wouldn't affect her as much. She sighed and finished off her beer and then listened to Avril's conversation with the guy.
Liz laughed a little bit as she heard what Avril was saying and then, she chimed in. She didn't want to be intruding, but she didn't want to seem like she was just sitting there being a stalker and listening to their conversations. She looked over toward Avril's way and then said, Yep, they're making themselves look like complete scumbags. Why would any girl want to hang all over them? She thought out loud. Liz agreed with Avril and looked towards the guy, You really should. I just worked all day, and it's helped me. She looked at him sweetly and had an encouraging voice. Even if you don't drink much, you could at least try some. Once again Liz's voice was sweet and ecouraging.
Liz thought for a few moments before introducinging herself to the both of them. By the way, I'm Liz and you two are? And I didn't mean to butt in or anything, but I couldn't help at making fun of those two guys. Liz laughed a little and then smiled at the both of them. She turned her attention back to the two guys and watched them stumble and not keep their balance while playing around with the girls they were "dating." Liz moved tapped her fingers along with the beat again and continued to watch the guys try to dance with the beat, but once again their coordination was off due to the amount of beers they had.
Yes, Liz liked to drink straight beer. It might've been unusual to the guy that was sitting near her and Avril, but to her, the fruity coctails just didn't do it. They were too, impure, to say the least. She liked the taste of the raw beer running down her throat. She was less of a girly girl and more of a tom boy, even though now, she looked beautiful. She liked to get dressed up once in a while, while still being tom boyish otherwise. She turned her attention back to the two and then waited for a response, especially from the guy.

Avril looked at Santiago again and tried to read his expression from his face. She had always been good at that even with the most stubborn people you will ever meet, she liked to know what people really thought. Avril always spoke her real feelings and thoughts, not understanding why some people tried to hide them from their friends and family... the world. Sometimes she wouldn't share something that hugely bothered her but that was it, everything else came right out from the heart. Avril focused only for a second and it didn't look like he was here for any sad or angry reason, probably just to drive his partying drunk friends here. That would make sense, usually with her though it was the other way around and one of her friends would have to drive her back.
Avril listened and nodded, she had been to Europe on tour before and she knew the law about drinking. She didn't really encourage it, but here she was now sitting with a fake id card i her pocket who had just drank two beers and working on her third. Though, for Avril to get drunk she needed at the least five and she couldn't really get that far because she still had to drive home... and she was sure her mother wouldn't like the fact she would come home with her jeep being towed because her daughter had broken the law by getting drunk... but isn't that what teens did? Avril eyes drifted again, they did this offend and did it even more as she drank. She noticed some guys looking at her but they looked wasted and she saw some girls pointing at Santiago which almost made her feel a little jealous, but you couldn't tell unless you were studying her carefully.
Avril laughed, his friends did look like the kind of people who would die just for the tiniest sip of alcohol or maybe even a beer. She took her finger tips an brushed her hair behind her ears and took her hand back for a moment, the one that had been offering the beer. When the other girl chimed in, a grin delicately graced on her features and she nodded. "She is right, you know... One little tiny sip won't effect your driving." It then hit Avril she still had to drive home and deiced to make that a point too, "Look, I'm half drunk and I still have to drive myself home." Avril pointed out still with a small smile lifted on her face and she tilted her head slightly. Avril didn't want him to get in trouble, she more wanted to know who he really was.
Avril shook her head in agreement to what the Liz said felt a little bit of a tease. "I know, I rather hang out with the ones who won't take a sip of beer or maybe one who would dance with me on my favorite song." She flashed Santiago a smile and lifted a brow, she was pretty sure he got what she just said. Her favorite song was up next and Avril wasn't about to sit there and let the song go to waste Maybe even Liz would get someone to dance with her and if not, she could always join us. " I'm Avril Lavigne, by the way." She said not wanting to sound like she was famous, she made herself sound like that normal girl who lived next door.

It might make people feel better when they were drinking, but he'd seen and felt the after effects of drinking and he knew it wasn't pretty. Sure, one sip wouldn't hurt, but he really saw no point to drinking if it was only a sip. Besides, in his opinion, anything alcohol really wasn't all that great anyway. It was an acquired taste really, and he wasn't too keen on acquiring it. He didn't really have time to devote to drinking anyway, so he saw no point in getting addicted.
"I think I'll pass." he said, still smiling. "Last thing I need is to get myself killed." He knew that if he was even a tiny bit off his game in the morning when he went to work his horse, he'd undoubtedly get thrown and trampled. It was hard enough to stay on him and get out of his way when he did get thrown when he was totally alert. And that's saying a lot. Professional athletes obviously had fast reactions, but dang, that black horse could run, and he could trample people too. If he wasn't totally aware and whatnot, he'd probably end up dead by tomorrow afternoon. He was no stranger to that horse, and he wasn't going to try his luck. Last time he'd done that, he'd ended up with iron cleats in his knee and had to completely start his career over.
He did catch what Avril meant and was relatively surprised. One minute she was trying to convince him to drink, and the next she was saying she'd like him better if he didn't drink and danced with her. Okay...so, which was it. From the look she gave him, he was guessing it was the second thing, but he wasn't too sure. Ah well...he wasn't too worried about it. He was about the most laid back person in the world, and didn't worry about things much...unless it involved the press...he hated them, and felt like they hated him too cause everything he did, they turned it around and made him look like the moron.
He wasn't exactly sure which of the two she was introducing herself to...but then again, it was probably both, so he figured he should probably do the same. He didn't exactly expect a rock star celebrity and a young woman from Pinewood to know who he was. After all, he hadn't been back in soccer for that long, and he was guessing they probably didn't keep up with sports that much. "Santiago Perez." He replied. Yeah, it was a Spanish name. Strange for a white American to have that sort of name, but his father was Mexican, so he'd been given a Mexican name...who knows why, he just did.

Logan there will be no rules tonight, if there were we'd break them; - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Logan fell into the couch with a sigh. His eyelids flickered close as he reflected on his day. He had met the cutest and most amazing girl, and couldn't stop thinking about the trail ride they went on. He felt he could really connect with Liz, and was more than glad to have met her.
He let a small smile flicker across his lips as he imaged her face again, relishing every smile she had directed towards him. Sitting up, he decided to wash up and check out the 'local scene' so to speak. He had heard that the new dance club in town was great, and a drink would be nice after his long day.
He hurried and washed up, quickly brushing back his dark hair to make it look slightly spiked. He slapped some light cologne on and threw on a casual but sophisticated blue collared shirt and a comfy dark denim jacket with jeans. He shrugged, not really caring how he looked, as well as he was clean and comfortable. Grabbing his keys, he stuffed them in his pocket and jogged out the door towards his truck.
Once he reached the dance club and walked in, he though about turning back and going back home. It was so crowded! He quickly scanned the room of strangers, most of them half-drunk, before landing on the familiar form of Liz. He smiled suddenly, even though she had not seen him yet. Pushing his way though the crowd, he slowly moved towards her, hardly believing that she was really there.
Soon he sat down a few seats down from her, as some other guy was sitting next to her. He smirked as he saw that she didn't look very interested. He actually found himself glad, and relieved. He smiled to himself before showing his I.D and ordering a beer, still keeping his eyes on Liz and hopping she would see him.
Glancing further down, he noticed a blonde-haired girl. She seemed strikingly familiar... maybe a singer? He never really was one for being up-to-date on all the music trends, but he finally recognized her as Avril Lavigne. He smiled, wondering what she was doing in a small town like this. Shaking it off, he moved his glance back to Liz, wondering if she had saw him yet...

Liz laughed some at the way Avril asked Santiago to the dance floor. She also laughed at the way Santiago looked. He seemed happy with the decision, but slightly confused. She sighed and then turned her attention back to the dance floor. She found herself oddly getting into the beat of each song, which could be a good or bad thing, either way she didn't mind. She looked around the room to see who she could possibly dance with. She spotted a few hot guys and then smirked. She'd have to make her move quickly if she were to get a guy to dance with her before another, girl took them. She sighed and focused her eyes on one paticularly hot guy. Before she got up, she politely turned to Avril and Santiago, "Excuse me, but I think I'm going to go and try and find a guy to dance with." Liz shot both of them a smile. She walked out onto the dance floor, looking for the guy she had spotted earlier. She couldn't find him in the mass at the moment, but she'd keep looking.
Before she could get any farther though, another guy walked into the club. She looked over her shoulder a couple times and then smiled happily. Yes! She thought to herself. She continued on into the crowd, but then when unsuccessfully finding the original guy, she returned to her seat at the bar. She figured out that she had spotted just the person she was hoping would be there, Logan. She had had such a great time on the trail ride earlier and had gotten to really like him. She sighed happily and then shot him a glance. Her eyes met his for a moment, before glancing in another direction. She fixed her hair and her shirt, making sure everything was looking great and then she found a seat next to Logan. She tried as hard as she could to conceal the smile that was forming at the edge of her mouth. She casually sat down and then said, Hey, What a coincidence! I didn't think you'd be here. Liz didn't want to sound corny, but that's all that she could come up with.
She quickly checked him over and to her please, he was even hotter than earlier. His hair was some what spiked and he had a nice looking shirt on. She sighed happily to herself and then looked down a few seats to see how Avril was hitting it off with Santiago. She then returned her gaze back to Logan. She smiled at him a little bit and then waited for what he had to say. Yes, this might've been the start of a flirt, but it didn't hurt for her to show a little interest in the guy. The least she could was smile and that's exactly what she did.

Avril took the last sip of beer from her mug and decided that was enough. She didn't want to get drunk because like Santiago had pointed out, she still did have to drive herself home and the last thing she wanted to deal with was coming back wih her mom's jeep being towed while she sat inthe hostpital wishing she never got drunk. Plus, then she would have to explain to her parents how she got into the night club being under age and why she had done it in the first place... which would not be a very pretty convertsation. Avril placed her mug gentlely on the counter top and waved at the tender saying she didn't want anymore and he shrugged turning away to look for someone else to serve up some wine or beer too.
Avril gave a slight nod to Liz as she popped out of her chair and watched her look around for some guys to dance with. She seemed like a happy nice girl and Avril only watched Liz until she looked pleased seeing someone that she looked like she already knew or has met before. Avril would give it too her, the guy was hot. Avril turned in her chair facing Santiago for a moment, he looked like he would go dance with her, but also seemed a little confused as well. Avril knew she could get confusing, but that ws what she found amusing... most guys would never understand her, while others just got her. Her optics shifted once more around the room and her ears were listening intensely waiting for a good song to reallly dance too... Avril sat back into her chair and glanced at Santiago again, how could you not stop looking at him? Avril shook her head, her thoughts would never stop coming.
Finally the DJ called out from somewhere in the mass of the crowd the song title of 'Paraliyzer' by Finger Eleven and she thought that song was good enough. Avril stood up and raised an eye brow with a small grin graced up her lips as she held out her hand. "May I have this dance?" She teased a little bit. She knew most of the time it was the the men asking the ladies for the dance, not the other way around because that was just the traditional way. Screw traditions, Avril just wanted to have a little fun, make life worth it while you have it. She knew maybe through his eyes she could be a party animal who was a tramp or maybe something else, but right now Avril didn't care... Someone could walk right up to her and swear at her, she still wouldn't care. This was her night to speak outoud.

Tyler watched Liz as she walked away for a moment or two, then turned his attention back to Avril. She was a pretty girl, no doubt about it, add that to her apparent ability to sing, and yeah...you'd get impressive success. To be perfectly honest though, he couldn't exactly say he'd ever listened to Avril Lavigne music...wasn't exactly his type. I mean really, professional athlete + Avril Lavigne music...it just didn't add up very well. Although, he didn't really listen to any music anyway, so it wasn't like he was singling that particular style out to not listen to.
He glanced up at the clock on the wall, 1:05. Hm, surprising he was still here. He figured that the other two would have gotten them kicked out or at least passed out by now. Maybe they were a bit more...enduring...than he had expected. It was quite impressive really. Although, he hadn't seen them in a while, it was entirely possible that they were passed out somewhere...it was also quite probable that they were passed out somewhere, completely wasted and unable to so much as move a single muscle.
He suddenly realized that he wasn't exactly being very social, and turned back towards Avril. This place wasn't exactly his scene, and it sort of put him out of his usual outgoing and friendly demeanor. Just as he turned back, she stood, and offered him her hand, asking him to come dance with her. He wasn't usually inclined to go out on the dance floor anymore...not since the accident. It had changed him a lot, finding out that he wasn't invincible and was entirely susceptible to the pains and life thereof. Before that, he'd been a lot like the other guys. Not nearly so extreme as the other two that he had come here with, but still very different than he was now. Ah, but what the heck? There was nothing wrong with breaking out of the mold every once in a while. Besides, he found Avril somewhat charming...she was different from most girls it seemed, somewhat like he was different from most pro athletes...even if it was the only thing they had in common...who cared? It was still something.
Santi stepped down from his seat and to the lower part of the floor, since the area they'd been sitting at was slightly elevated above the rest of the flooring. This put her slightly more at his head level. At 5' 10," and she being in the 5'2"-5'4" range, he was quite a bit taller than she was, though that didn't particularly make any difference to him. "Of course," he said, with a smile as he closed his hand around hers, and waited for her to come with him. The two of them were hitting off pretty well, which was slightly surprising when you considered the differences in their worlds.

((OOC: Sorry it's so short!)) Logan nothing's gonna stop us now, let's get down to it; - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Logan smiled as she made eyes contact. He was glad that she seemed pleased to see him. He played it cool as she sat down next to him. He smiled, amused, as she spoke. "Yeah, I know! It's great to see you" He looked over her quickly, noting that she looked cuter than even that last time he had seen her, which amazed him to be truthfully. "You look great by the way" He added in a smooth tone, just loud enough to be heard over the noise around them. He gave her a charming smile and went back to his drink for a moment.
Turning back to Liz, he followed her gaze to the dance floor. It was crowded with half-tipsy couples laughing and dancing even as the song that was playing came to an end. Another beat began, and Logan recognized it as Our Time Now by Plain White T's. He smirked, and returned to Liz, who's fingers were tapping to the beat. "This is a good song" He noted, then added "Would you like to dance?" He asked, tilting his head to the side slightly, as he always did when asking a question. His chocolate eyes twinkled amusement as he waited patiently for her answer.
