I ' V E N E V E R T O L D A L I E BUT THAT MAKES ME A LIAR - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -"What'd you do all night? Take a mud bath?" Gabby asked her Paint horse gelding, Twilight, as he gave a short nicker as she entered his stall. He was filthy to the point where it might take all morning to get him clean. That scenario had "No Riding!" written all over it, unfortunately. She had barely slept the night before, and was feeling like she had already done all of the work and was needing some relaxation. Gabby had a lot of phone calls to make tonight concerning her hopeful career in horse training. And, on top of that, she had to give feedback to a lady that was selling this beautiful grullo Quarter horse that had high expectations. And, she was selling the mare for very little, which put her in availability of the five-year-old. As she walked to the tack room to grab her grooming utensils, she wondered about how amazing it would feel to ride her. According the lady and the videos she watched, the mare was a beautiful mover and had an awesome conformation; exactly what Gabrielle wanted.
As she ran over the black and white gelding with a curry comb, she started to mumble to Twilight about the grullo. He gave a snort or two, obviously jealous. You know, she started, I'll still love you if she comes. And, I heard that she was pretty fine looking.... Gabby winked at Twilight and he pawed at the ground. So, he wasn't interested. That was his own loss. As Gabby started on the hard brush, she got to thinking. What if this horse was a complete wreck, despite her appearances? Well, then she would have to see the horse in person. It seemed as though every question she had had an answer, and every answer she had to something had a question. Yet, it just filled her with more worries. Maybe thinking about the mare was a bad idea, after all. For one thing, she shouldn't even get her hopes up about this animal. She might be a total rip-off. Or, maybe someone was buying her at this very minute.... In the end, Gabby got so caught up with worrying, she forgot what she was doing and had finished her hard brush. Smiling to herself, she grabbed the soft brush and started up on that. Afterward, she would put moisturizer on her coat and put spray-on conditioner into his mane and tail, pull through that, and pick his hooves. Then she would braid his tail, put a tail bag on and let him out in the pasture for the day. With all her work set before her, she picked up the soft brush and bounced into action.
When she was finishing up tying the tail bag, she gave him a few treats for standing so still and turned him out. Extremely tired, she decided to sit down on a nearby log, watching her outstanding horse graze in the fresh, green grass that spring had brought with it. Deciding to close her eyes for a minute or two, she dozed, daydreaming about riding the grullo mare that was so close in her reach. All of a sudden, her cell phone vibrated and she picked it up, pressing the on button. Hello? Yep, this is Gabby Taylor. Yes... uh-huh...yep...I do...okay...I'll stop by Sunday then...okay, thanks! Yep.. buh-bye. Hanging up, she smiled, extravagantly tired. She was going to see the grullo on Sunday afternoon! A smile was still present on her face when she was cleaning Twilight's stall. Yet, she was unaware of anyone coming in and seeing her in that state. Who would be up at eight in the morning on a Friday, anyway? Not anyone normal. Yet, Gabby found herself far from normal at this state. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS // completed TAGS // anyone who would graciously reply :] WORDS // 657, baby! no, sorry. it sucks. Jason had just finished up riding his three horses. The first one being a buckskin paint stallion. The horse was gorgeous and his name was Bucking Jack of Dukes. Jason called him Jack though. But sometimes people called the horse Duke. But Jason didn't think it fit the horse. The horse was a roping horse and he produced beautiful horses that grew to love to chase cows as well. And he had some colts that were trained to do some other rodeo events like barrel racing, or just all around horses. Jack produced a paint horse everytime.. but sometimes he would only throw one or two white spots, but it was a paint. But the horse took Jason to finals every year that he had the horse, which was about 3 years now. The horse was only 6 and already had a great career in roping.
The second horse was a bay paint mare named Lucky's Gallantly Splashed. Jason called her Splash for the reason of her paint spots.. they looked like someone threw paint at her. She was a gorgeous filly. She was 3 years old this year and he was starting to train her into roping. The filly was very cowy. The filly was going to a great little horse. She was really tiny, but she had some really good speed on her so he was sure that he could even compete with steer wrestling with that horse. The filly wouldn't be bred though, he wasn't much for breeding mares, but maybe someday he would breed her just to see what he got. The filly had a great personality and really just kind of spunky.
The last horse was a two year old, just had about 10 rides on him now. The colt was someone elses horse. The colt was just getting started. He was a dark palomino horse and he was actually rather lazy. Jason didn't like the horse all that much. But it was giving him the money he needed. Jason was getting some other horses in from a ranch somewhere in Tennesee to train here soon, that would definitly keep him busy then. But the yellow horse was going to be a really good horse. He was going to be a kids safe horse for sure. The horse only tried to buck once but it wasn't even that bad. It was just one little buck. It didn't even get Jason off balance the tiniest bit.
Jason walked through the barn to head out to go get something to eat. But heard some voices.. sounded like it was from a girl. He smiled a little. He would just have to go and flirt a little. He hadn't been around a girl in a while. The last girl had kind of just disapeared from him. He had no idea where she was.. or what happened. She told him she was leaving and left. He wasn't sure if she was coming back or not. So he may as well start dating again, right? He looked out of the barn and saw in the distance a girl on a log by a beautiful black and white horse. He smiled and then took Jack from his stall and got on him bareback with just a halter and lead rope. He trotted out toward the girl then he got off and let Jack graze on the grass that was there. "Howdy ma'am." He says and smiled his crooked grin toward her. "How are you on this fine day?" He asks her then held out his hand toward her. "I'm Jason Aberdine. Somewhat new here. You dont' see me around since I rodeo alot." He says and looked at the black and white horse. "Nice looking horse there." He told her and looked to Jack who was grazing along, keeping to himself.

I ' V E N E V E R T O L D A L I E BUT THAT MAKES ME A LIAR - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Gabby was quickly interrupted from her day dreams and excitement by man that she had never really seen around the ranch. He was riding a beautiful buckskin paint, but dismounted and let the horse graze while he walked up towards her. Gabby bit her bottom lip shyly, blushing a little bit. He wasn't terribly bad-looking, and he seemed like a nice person, so what the heck? "Howdy," she started, a sweet smile appearing on her mouth. "I'm great, thanks. How 'bout you?" Gabby said sweetly. Pushing her hair back from her sparkly grey-blue eyes, she realized she wasn't even wearing any make-up. Oh well, at least this boy will get to see the real her.
"I'm Jason Aberdine. Somewhat new here. You don't see me around since I rodeo a lot." This Jason man said. She nodded and replied, taking his hand and shaking it. "Gabrielle Taylor. Everyone calls me Gabby, though. Somewhat new here as well. I think I was here before you came, though. I don't remember seeing you around when I first got here." After she shook his hand, she let go, then looked at her horse. He was grazing peacefully, munching with contentment. Twilight gave a whinny and Gabby rolled her eyes at her sometimes-obnoxious horse. "Nice looking horse there." Jason suddenly said. Gabby smiled, glancing at him but quickly resumed looking at her horse. "Thanks. Same to you. He's such a beauty.... What's his name?" Gabby asked. She wanted to get into conversation with this man, even if it took all morning. Gabrielle gave a slight grin as she sat up from the log and walked into the pasture. She walked up to the buckskin paint and looked him over. He sure was pretty. She ran her hands over him, giving him a pat. When she turned away from him, she gave a whistle and a smooch or two. Twilight ran up from the pasture, ears pricked and interested. Most people would be afraid of a horse as big as him running straight at you. But Gabby went through this every day, and most horse people wouldn't care a bit. He skidded to a halt as he neared, and trotted briskly, stopped to lip at her pockets. Pulling out a treat, she gave it to him, then rubbed his forehead as he chewed contently. Gabby smiled, looking back at Jason. Maybe they could go for a bareback ride around the pasture or something. Yet, she could only wish and hope. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS // completed TAGS // jason aberdine WORDS // 448. it TOTALLY sucks. sorry!!! Jason smiled to the girl. It almost looked like she had been in her own little world. He had those moments every now and then. He had said a kind word to her and her reply was, "Howdy...I'm great, thanks. How 'bout you?" He smiled to her and he tipped his hat a little bit toward her. "I'm a doing just fine. It's good to hear you are doing great." He told her and noticed for once, a girl in this town wasn't wearing make-up. He liked girls that didn't wear make-up... or the ones that didnt' wear much of it. He thought it was rather useless. Her hair was long and brown.. just like he liked. And her eyes were blue. He smiled, his eyes were a light blue-green color. He personally didn't like them. Under his cowboy hat was thick dark brown hair. His goat-tee had been trimmed yesterday and he had shaved yesterday too, so he had some stubble on his cheeks.
"Gabrielle Taylor. Everyone calls me Gabby, though. Somewhat new here as well. I think I was here before you came, though. I don't remember seeing you around when I first got here." She told him. He shook her rather small hand. He gave her a bright smile. Gabrielle.. hmm what a nice name. He listened to the rest and smiled more. She most likely hadn't seen him since he was always gone on weekends, and was here early in the morning. "That is a beautiful name." he started then paused a moment. "I don't think I have seen you before either." He told her and looked at her horse again, then back to her. He had commented on her horse and then she said, "Thanks. Same to you. He's such a beauty.... What's his name?" He nodded then looked to Jack. He smiled to her as he looked back to her from Jack. "That is Jack. Some people call him Duke. And thanks, he is really pretty." He told her and smiled. Jack was a good looking horse. Of course he had his flaws, his legs could be alot straighter, but hey, he got the job done.
He watched her get up from the log and walk to Jack. Jack nickered to her and nudged her arm as she petted him. He chewed on the grass that was in his mouth. Then she whistled and smooched. He looked over to see her horse coming up to her. He smiled and once the horse was next to her he rubbed her horses neck. "What's its name?" he asks her. The horse was beautiful too. He looked to Jack.. then smiled a little. "Hey, you wanna go for a little ride around here?" He asks her and took Jack's lead rope and tied it again, then went a head and jumped onto the horses back.

I ' V E N E V E R T O L D A L I E BUT THAT MAKES ME A LIAR - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Gabby smiled quickly at his remark, but her attention was totally on her horse. She slipped his halter on, then just held onto the lead rope as he rummaged through the grass for clover. Suddenly, she was surprised to hear a comment she really didn't get a lot. "That is a beautiful name." He commented. Gabby bit her lip in shock, surprised. "Thanks," She gave a slight smile then looked at her horse, playing with the ends of her naturally curly hair. "That is Jack. Some people call him Duke. And thanks, he is really pretty." Gabby fed the horse a spare carrot from her pocket in response to his nudging, and gave him a pat on his neck. "I'd rather call him Jack. Duke... Duke is way too formal." She gave a little laugh and looked at the two horses as one unit. Wow, talk about your Paint horses. Gabby smiled as Jason walked up to her gelding, asking for his name. "That's Twilight. He might not be the only one of mine, though. I'm going to check out this amazing grullo Quarter horse tomorrow. She's absolutely stunning." Gabby smiled. She had amazingly forgotten all about this dream horse. While furrowing through her thoughts about the mare, she was interrupted by Jason as he hopped on Jack. "Hey, you wanna go for a little ride around here?" He asked, and Gabby could've sworn he could read minds. She nodded, verbally letting out a "Sure!" Tying her lead rope, she hopped on as well, ready for the time of her life. She smiled in a rebel-ish way, slowly inching Twilight up to a lope. Looking back, she stuck out her tongue at Jason and high-tailed for the other end of the pasture. It was an easy game of "catch me if you can", and at Twilight's speed, it would be like racing a novice. She didn't want to make him go too fast, for then all the slow work she put into him would probably be erased. And that would suck, let me tell you! Smiling, her hat fell off and caught around her neck , and all her hair went up with the wind. She was fearless and a true cowgirl, for sure. They had both introduced themselves and introduced their horses. Yes, horse people seemed to always introduce the horses. It was like they were family or friends. "I'd rather call him Jack. Duke... Duke is way too formal." He chuckled at what the girl said. That was true. The horse was too colorful to look formal. "I agree with you there." He told her and rubbed his horses neck gently. Jason was pretty much full of comments.. and good ones at that. It was just the way he was. He seemed to know what to say at the right times.. most of the time anyway.
"That's Twilight. He might not be the only one of mine, though. I'm going to check out this amazing grullo Quarter horse tomorrow. She's absolutely stunning." She told him. He smiled. "Hello Twilight." He says and rubbed her horses head gently. The horse seemed quiet, very well mannered. That was always a plus in a horse. "Grulla's can be very pretty.. but there are some that can be extremely ugly.. in my opinion anyway." He told her and smiled. "Hope that deal works out for you." He smiled and then heard her response to him asking if she wanted to take a little ride. "Sure!" was the anwser he got.
Then all of a sudden she was up and on her horse in no time and speeding down the feild. He laughed and kicked up his horse to catch up. The horse being a rope horse caught up rather fast and he let out a small whinnie to Twilight. Jason smiled and saw that Gabby's hat had fallen down, good thing for the ties to keep it on. Jason's has was tight fitting on his head so it stayed on. He didn't like to have ties on his hats, it bugged him. He could tell this girl was a cowgirl, no doubt about it. She could ride very well. He let his horse run beside hers. The horse collected himself and his legs carried him across the grass with beauty and grace.
Jason was a cowboy. He roped and did alot of ranch work in his life. He wanted to own his own ranch but rodeo just wouldn't let him do so. And he much rather rodeo than stay at home on a ranch. He was happy where he was and where his horses were. Some people wouldn't call him a cowboy though, for one reason. He had earings. Yes, cowboy's usually didn't wear earings but this one did. He liked to stand out from a crowd a little bit. He personally thought he looked good with earings. And another thing, he didn't usually tuck in his shirts.

F E E L S L I K E I ' M F A L L I N G I N L O V EWHEN I'M FALLING TO THE BATHROOM FLOOR - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Gabrielle looked back at Jason, smiling at the intense amount of speed he was gaining on her with Jack. Twilight seemed to effortlessly carry his black and white legs, stretching and bringing them back with ease. His canter was a little rocky, since they usually were loping, but that didn't matter at all. Her face buried in the gelding's endless mane, She asked Twilight to go for a lope. After one final head toss, he gave in and obeyed her command. It was smooth under her now, and she liked it that way. She knew that Jason would probably get ahead of her, but she liked it that way. Sometimes, someone just wants to be alone, smiling and having fun while watching the other person have fun, too. Asking Twilight to bring his head down, she went down to a jog and then a walk, hoping Jason would understand. The gelding's nostrils were flaring and he was breathing pretty hard. She was kind of worried that he would get too tired. She was pretty exhausted herself!
Taking in the fact that he would, no doubt, be sore tomorrow, she asked him to walk on. He was walking kind of slow and looked like he needed some water. Her eyes widened to find the outcome of how far they galloped down. Knowing they had a long walk ahead of them, she called to Jason to tell him what was going on. "Twilight doesn't look so good, so I'm gonna take him back. I'm so sorry!" Sighing and realizing how sad Jason might be, she began her long walk back to the barn. Well, what else can you do besides think? And yes, that is exactly what she did. Thought. And thought.
She thought about Jason and how ironic it was to meet him. Jason was very nice and polite, and she liked everything about him. He loved horses, just like her, and was very fun to be with, in her perspective. And now? Now she just totally rejected him for her horse. She felt terrible, and really hoped that he didn't hate her. Gabby could imagine her with with Jason, but that was just crazy talk. Whose stupid idea was that? Well, obviously, hers. Like that would ever happen. A part of her was telling her to just be friends with him, for that was what it was now and probably forever will be. But, remembering the time she had seen him when she was with her friends at the club, she knew he was hooked with Sauvere. Oh well. Honestly, she'd rather be best friends with him than not know him at all. Even if he had a girlfriend. Feeling kind of down, she kept on walking, realizing she had covered one fourth of the terrain she covered earlier. Whoopee.

They had ran quite a ways. He kept Jack in line and didn't let him get too fast, not wanting him to get hurt. He kept him just a little ways ahead though. He looked back frequently to see how she was. The last time he looked back though, she had pulled her horse down to a trot. The horse seemed...out of breathe from where Jason was. He slowed Jack down to a trot. Then a walk as he turned him around to meet her. He understood that her horse was out of breathe and should cool down and get some rest.
"Twilight doesn't look so good, so I'm gonna take him back. I'm so sorry!" She said. He smiled and caught up to her trotting a little bit to catch up as she was walking her horse back. "He looks a little sore. Walk him back then let him get some rest. He might be a bit sore tomorrow." He told her and rubbed Jack's neck gently to let him know he was being good. He looked to Twilight then to Gabby. She was a pretty girl, very pretty. Wait no, she was beautiful. He sighed a little bit. He was in a bind now.
Yes, he was with Sauvere. But he hadn't seen her in so long. He had rescued her then she ran off and he hadn't seen or heard from her. It scared him. It had been about a month now. He was about ready to give up. He loved that girl, but he needed to move on if she wasn't going to come back. And how was he going to explain that to Gabby. He was sure that word got around in this little town and she probably knew he was going out with Sauvere. Or she saw them together. He though made a quick decision to ask Gabby on a date. If Sauvere ever came back...he might or might not get back with her. All depended. But he wasn't going to wait forever. You only had one life to live.
As ehtey walked he looked to Gabby. 'I know you probably know I was with a girl before. Well, she kind of left and I haven't heard or seen her in a month. So...I'm going to move on..." He said and paused a moment. He really liked this girl. She could ride like no other he had seen. "Would you like to go out sometime?" He asks her and lookd at Jack's mane nervously, then back to Gabby as they got closer and closer to the barn. He rubbed Jack's neck gently as he started to get a little hyper because he was so close to home. "Easy boy, calm down." He told him quietly and looked to Gabby once again.

I ' L L S T A Y W I T H Y O U F O R E V E RJUST AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME TOO - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Gabby gulped as she heard Jason come up behind her. Squeezing her eyes shut, she wished that she could just evaporate into the air and be invisible. But no. She just had to be translucent at the time. Sighing, she listened to his next words, ringing the word 'beautiful' into them. "He looks a little sore. Walk him back then let him get some rest. He might be a bit sore tomorrow." Gabby smiled for the help and spoke a simple "Thanks, and I kinda figured that would be the outcome tomorrow." Trying really hard to concentrate on the road ahead of her, she let Twilight trudge along through the grass, his legs a tiny bit shaky. "Maybe... maybe I should get off.... Gabby stopped and slid off of her horse delicately, and continued to walk him, two feet against four hooves. It was actually more calming, knowing that Jason couldn't really see her broken expression. Yet, what came next was what surprised her silly. "I know you probably know I was with a girl before. Well, she kind of left and I haven't heard or seen her in a month. So...I'm going to move on..."[/s] Gabby almost made her horse trip over her. She felt her stomach drop to the ground, and was in complete shock. Moving her hair so he couldn't see her expression, she kept quiet and tried to act like nothing big just really happened. "Would you like to go out sometime?" The eighteen, almost nineteen year old girl almost fainted as she heard those words. Taking a deep breath and taking it all in, she looked over at Jason, smiled and replied. "I'd like that," She simply replied. And, honestly, she meant that. Only with the words 'a lot' after it. Smiling to herself behind her waterfall of brown curly hair, she continued to walk Twilight, with much high hopes in being happy. Jason knew how it was when your horse wasn't feeling itself. He liked that she was worried about her horse. That meant that she cared for her horses like Jason did his. "Thanks, and I kinda figured that would be the outcome tomorrow." She said after his comment about the horse going to be a little sore tomorrow. He thought a moment then looked to Gabby. "Run hose water over him tomorrow and walk him around for about five or ten minutes to losen his muscles." He said. That always helped with his horses anyway. Maybe... maybe I should get off.... She said adn slipped off the horse and started walk him. He smiled watching them.
He told her that he had been seeing another girl right off, and said that he hadn't seen that girl in a long time. She seemed to be hiding her face from him. He smiled to himself, figuring maybe she was shocked or embarrassed. He wasn't sure. He finally asked if she would go out with him sometime. She took a breathe and looked at Jason and replied, "I'd like that," She said. He smiled and looked ahead then back patted Jack's neck. "Good boy." He told the horse and saw it was still quite a ways to the barn.
"If you want, you can hop on the back of my horse and lead Twilight that way. That way you don't have to walk a mile." He said and smiled. Jack road double easily. He was a pretty broke horse, he only got hyper every now and then. But he was doing just fine today. Gabby wasn't the only one that thought.. Jason tended to think quite a bit himself. He could see them dating, and being boyfriend and girlfriend. He also could see them married and living a happy life. But they would just have to take one step at a time before he could really find out if that would happen.

Y O U R E Y E S A R ETHE BRIGHTEST OF ALL THE COLORS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -"Run hose water over him tomorrow and walk him around for about five or ten minutes to loosen his muscles." Jason said, giving advice to take in for her horse. "Yeah, I was planning to... I hope he doesn't get lame, though." Rolling her eyes, she kept on walking through the tall prairie grass that they were going through, the green grass under her feet. There was silence, all except for the crickets and the buzz of the barn and horses. Content, Gabby glanced up at Jason for his expression. It was altogether the same one as hers. She was soon interrupted in her walking by the speaking of Jason. "If you want, you can hop on the back of my horse and lead Twilight that way. That way you don't have to walk a mile." Gabby smiled, her chocolate brown eyes sparkling in the summer sun. "Thanks," She simply said before she took hold of Jason's hand, stopping for a split second and felt her heart racing extremely fast. Pushing that all aside, she hoisted herself up, using her leg muscles, and swung over, right behind Jason. Leading Twilight in the other hand, she rode along with Jack and relaxed under the intense summer heat. Having forgotten all about her hat, she realized it was still off and slid it on her head, doing the world of a difference. As they walked along, she spoke up, trying to make conversation. "So... how many horses do you own?" Gabby asked, casually. Jack's legs carried on under her, she could feel it. Somehow, she felt safe by Jason, and she knew that Jack would take care of her. Sighing with content, she leaned over and patted Twilight on his neck, who was coming along fine so far. He was a little slow, but that didn't matter right now. Gabby had first gotten that horse for a birthday present when she was twelve, he was only a yearling and was pretty unwanted. She trained him and took care of him all by herself, well, with the help of a few other trainers to tell her what to do, and nurtured and cared for the yearling. As Twilight grew up, so did Gabby, and she made some life changing decisions along the way. And, one of them was coming to Pinewood. Twilight obviously had to come with, so she made truck ride here along with stopping a few times for the gelding. After she had gotten here, Twilight adjusted well and she was riding and doing everything she normally did on a regular basis. And, well, here she is, with her horse. Twilight really is a trooper and goes with pretty much everything (except for not having his breakfast; then he gets mad) and anything. He is a pretty satisfied horse, and that is why Gabby likes him so much. Still gripping on to the gelding's lead rope, she sat right behind Jason, enjoying the moment and scenery while it lasts. "Yeah, I was planning to... I hope he doesn't get lame, though." She told him. He just shrugged a little and gave her a reasuring smile. 'I'm sure he will be just fine if he does get a little lame." He told her. He looked down at teh tall grass then to Gabby. She had walked quite a ways now. So he offered her a ride on the back of Jack. "Thanks."
She told him and took his hand so he could help her up. She used some leg muscle to get up and she sat down comfortabley. He smiled and patted Jack's neck. "Good boy." He told him. "So... how many horses do you own?" She asks as they walked down the little meadow/prairie thing. He smiled to her. "Three. I have Jack, Frazzle, and Boony." he told her. "Frazzle is a sorrel mare. And Booney is a red roan stud horse." he told her and smiled. And they all did their job of roping. Jason was a ropign person, so all his horses learned to rope. And if they had no ability of roping, they were sold. He didn't want horses that couldnt' get the job done around when he had perfectly good horses that could. "How many do you have?" he asks her and watched as the barn got closer and closer. He had gotten Jack when Jack was a yearling. Jack would have gone for dog food. Frazzle was a two year old when he got her and she had been beat alot. And then there was Boony. He was actually starving. You could say Jason liked to take in the unfortunate horses and giving them what they needed then trained them to be great horses. Jason took pitty on the horses no one wanted and made them into something everybody wanted. Well, if the horse would let him. some horses just aren't meant to be trained to rope. S O M E T H I N G A B O U T Y O UIS SO ADDICTIVE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Gabby was very interested in what he had to say about his horses. And, soon enough, he replied to her. "Three. I have Jack, Frazzle, and Booney. Frazzle is a sorrel mare. And Booney is a red roan stud horse." Gabby nodded in response and replied, "Interesting..I think I've seen them around the barn before." After a few minutes, Jason asked her, "How many do you have?" [/s] After thinking of what to say, she finally replied. "Just one. Twilight." She paused. "I want another one, though. Preferably a mare. Maybe that grulla one will work out... if not, then I have this beautiful chestnut mare on eye. She's so expensive, though. Very trained horse." Her speech on different horses ended and she waited to see what Jason will say. Wanting to talk more, she asked Jason, "So, what do you like to do with your horses?" Waiting fora reply, she played with the ends of her hair with her free hand and thought about what was going on now. Well, she had a date and a horse... what could be better? Well, not really anything, actually. Gabby adjusted her seat in the saddle and looked on ahead and what lay ahead of her. There still was about twenty-five percent of the field to cover yet, so she just looked at Jason and smiled briefly, looking down again. She had no idea what to say. They got even closer, and they were soon to the gate... just a few more strides. When they reached the gate, Gabby hopped off, smiling at him. "Thanks for the ride. I'll see you around. Here's my number--" She scribbled out her number on a piece of paper and a pen that was in her pocket; she always carried around them just in case of importance. Handing it to him, she spoke up again. "Call me whenever... I'll be around." Then, as hard as it was to do, she walked away, leading Twilight to the wash rack to do his legs. Kind of hoping Jason would follow her, she did everything slowly--she had all the time in the world. "Interesting..I think I've seen them around the barn before." She said. He still had his smile on his face. He nodded. "Ya, they are all next to each other. I have a thing for rescue-ing horses and making them something great." He told her and smiled. It was true, every horse he had was neglected in some way or another. "Just one. Twilight...I want another one, though. Preferably a mare. Maybe that grulla one will work out... if not, then I have this beautiful chestnut mare on eye. She's so expensive, though. Very trained horse." She anwsered to his question on how many she had. He smiled a little. "Grulla's are pretty horses. Some of the good horses are expensive. That's why I rescue them and train them myself.. it's cheaper in my opinion." He said grinning a little. Some people just called him crazy.
"So, what do you like to do with your horses?" He looked back at her briefly. He smiled a little. "I'm a roper. I team rope and calf rope. I like roping.. it's my favorite. I have done some cutting and working cow horse stuff too. Pretty much anything dealing with cows." He told her and smiled. "But mostly roping. What do you do with Twilight?" He asks. He figured she did pleasure stuff with him, but he wasn't quite sure.
"Thanks for the ride. I'll see you around. Here's my number--" He took the paper and smiled and stood up in his stirrups and put the paper in his pocket. "I will either call you or text you. And you're welcome." he said and then looked at the barn. He needed to put Jack away, so he should get off too. "Call me whenever... I'll be around." she said and started to walk to the barn. He swung off Jack and walked him through the gate, shut it and walked toward the barn behind Gabby. He unsaddled Jack and brushed him then put him in his stall. He walked to Gabby. 'Hope you feels alright tomorrow." He told her.

Y O U ' V E G O T A S M I L ETHAT COULD LIGHT UP THIS WHOLE TOWN - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Ya, they are all next to each other. I have a thing for rescue-ing horses and making them something great." Jason told her. Gabby nodded in response and replied, "I see. Well, you sure do a great job at the 'making them something great' part!" She commented. Smiling, she looked down at the ground, thinking of what to say next. Jason already was talking, it turned out. Well, she did like a guy who isn't afraid to speak up and make conversation! "Grulla's are pretty horses. Some of the good horses are expensive. That's why I rescue them and train them myself.. it's cheaper in my opinion." Gabrielle nodded yet again and took that into consideration. "It must be... hmm.. I might just consider that." It was a really good idea. And, she was a trainer, so it must be a lot simpler... yet, you would have to take time to train it. Oh well. She didn't mind living at the barn one bit.
"I'm a roper. I team rope and calf rope. I like roping.. it's my favorite. I have done some cutting and working cow horse stuff too. Pretty much anything dealing with cows." Jason said next to her question. "But mostly roping. What do you do with Twilight?" He asked her. Smiling a little, she brushed back a few stray hairs and opened her mouth to speak. "Cool! I like to show Twilight... I usually do pleasure, horsemanship, and trail classes. Showmanship and halter I think are very pointless. Maybe you could come to a show with me sometime. We could trailer together." The soon-to-be nineteen year old said and suggested. Maybe he could... that would be really fun and entertaining. Wiping off any stray pieces of hay on her appearance of boot cut jeans and a plain old t-shirt, she though about what it would be like to go to a show with Jason. It would probably be tons of fun. Very hectic, but entertaining. Jason put his piece of paper into his pocket while Gabby looked at her boots, not knowing what to say. "I will either call you or text you. And you're welcome."[/s] He said before following her to go put his horse away. Gabby unsaddled the poor horse and soaked his legs before walking him around the yard once and putting him in his stall for some rest. She decided to feed him right away, so she grabbed three flakes of hay and threw it in his stall, filling his water. All of a sudden she heard a voice behind her, jumping a little. Turning around, she looked to find Jason standing behind her. "Hope he feels alright tomorrow." He said. "Yeah... I think he'll turn out positive." Gabby said, looking at him through the bars and analizing him. She was probably speaking the truth. Gabby was very experienced and could spot a horse being ill from a mile away. Well, not literally, but, you know. Figure of speech.
