Elfie could look like the average sort of women at first, but if you look close enough you will see she is isn't. She had always been the girl who blended into the crowd ever since she started going to school, even in kindergarten and the teacher would forget she was even there. Then Elfie had one of those brake-throughs and decided enough was enough and started to pretty herself up a little. She is now quite gorgeous and athletic starting from the age of thirteen.
When she was thirteen that is when she wanted to be popular and wear things that showed more skin that wasn't needed, well that actually depended on whether you think a tank top shows too much skin. Elfie had a very nice build but never really used it to her advantage after she realized she could. So instead of sitting in the corner all day she came out out of her shell in her sophomore year in high school. Her legs turned out to be shorter then what she wanted; making her stand up at five foot four. Then she stopped growing, which she hadn't been thankful for not wanting to be a freakishly short teen. Elfie has little hips but she can work that to an advantage now wearing tight shorts and can easily brag about what size she was, if she was that sort of person... but never really was.
Elfie grew older and her skin turn a little darker getting tans much easier. So, most of the time she will have a tan whether it is the beginning of summer or the middle of winter. Some people may mistake her heritage from her tans though because they can turn out to become more of a carmel color... but she does have white skin. Along with her skin is her blazing watery hazel eyes that really show against red brown hair that she will sometimes dye. Though, Sophie always found her hair just to plain, but didn't let it bug her since she wasn't the type to flip on a bad hair day. Most the time now, Elfie will just pull it back into a loose pony tail to keep it out of her face.
Next would be Elf's heritage. Like mentioned before, she people mess up her heritage because of her tans like almost like a carmel color... so they think she may be part Asian or something around there. Really though, she is part French, Irish and American. Nothing else that is proven in the family tree has been in her blood and even though she doesn't look French at all being a short height, she has some freckles around her nose if you look close... and most people with an Irish heritage do.
Like most girls do, she has her style of clothing she wears. She sort of makes up her own kind of style though and now being a young adult she dresses more confident. Usually you can find her, on a normal day, with a pair of jeans if it is cold or else a pair of white, navy, gray, soft colors... shorts and then a tank top on. If it is chilly outside she will throw on a sweatshirt and her favorite sweatshirt of all time reads 'drama is overrated' because not only is it warm, but it proves a good point. Very, very Elfie like.
For riding you will find her with a low pony tail and her navy blue helmet pulled over. Normally rides in her riding pants because she is a serious horseback rider and a big time competitor, so she wants to look her best. Then riding out in general she will wear a tank top or a short sleeve shirt, but nothing really baggy because it makes her feel uncomfortable... which is usually the opposite of most people. Elfie is just one of a kind.

Elfie is a nice girl with high hopes for herself. She is extremely out-spoken and isn't afraid to speak her thoughts. Through-out school she would always have to be sent out of her classroom and out to the halls because she would be caught talking during a test, or fighting with the teacher if she been cheating on quizzes. She will talk to anyone, she isn't the sort of girl who is in the cliches or believe to be cool you have to hang out the 'the right people',but screw that Elfie would be happy enough to talk to a freakin hobo for all she cares.
Elfie can also act younger then what her real age is, but when people tell her that her reply is simple and quick, 'Live life to the fullest, right?' and that is that. She can defiantly knows how to pump up a party and is sort of bold when it comes down to expressing herself. It isn't hard to see if she is in rage, depressed, happy, or shocked... you can see it all straight in her eyes. Which makes it hard for her to lie because you can see the guilt. So, she doesn't tend to lie much, unless she feels she is protecting a friend or family member.
Elfie can also be quite competitive, especially when it comes down to horseback riding. She loves to win, duh... but she isn't a huge sore loser like a lot of people are. She does it for fun, but when she wants to be serious and really win, she will get down to business. Elfie can be sweet too. Just because she is out-spoken and can be a little wild, she can also be very soft and gentle. She can also be quiet and when she feels nervous or sympathetic she is like a whole different person.
Her whole image can change if someone needs helps and she turns into Mother Elf in a snap. She has only been like that is is very trustworthy and you never have to worry about her spilling any secret you have exposed to her. She would let you cry on her shoulder and she would gently cradle you in her arms and make you close her eyes, she would cry along with you, but at the same time sooth you. Elfie isn't afraid to suffer with people she loves or hates.

This Is Who I was
Everyone has some drama in there life and some parts of your past can be good and some of it may be bad, but you always get through in the end. Elfie was a sweet little girl and when she was four years old she was the little star in a commercial for pampers. She wasn't really the type to do something like that but her Mom convinced her too. In fact, Elfie was quite close to her mom growing up when she was young. They lived out on a ranch and every night she and her mother would go outside on the porch and sit on the little bench that would swing back and forth as she rocked her daughter to sleep. Her mother would hum soft tunes and lullaby's until her eyes were closed and each breath deepened.
Since her family did live on a ranch in Kentucky they had a few horses. Victoria, her mother, taught Elphaba all she knows about the horse world, counting her riding skills. She started riding at the age of four even though that meant she had to be led around on a lunge line... that didn't matter much to her, she loved it anyway. At the age of seven she could canter off a small pony named Fudge and Elfie just never stopped loving it. Victoria pushed her up to her limit and her daughter started jumping at the age of nine and soon she could jump higher and higher. Her father, James, had always supported her riding in every way and he loved horses as well as his daughter and wife.
They would all go out on trails and of course, they had their fights, but most of the time things were good. Then Elfie begged her mother the age of thirteen to have a riding lesson and try riding a different horse. That was a fatal day all close to the Rhodes family... Victoria had agreed and drove her daughter there but they never quite made it. A drunk driver was on the road and smashed into them on the highway where there was a ditch of to the side. The car had spun and went straight down with Elfie and her mother still inside the car. Her mother died from the impact and somehow Elfie had survived but when she was found she was in horrid shape and knocked out cold.
Elfie went into coma for only two days and when she woke her father nor mother was standing at her side. The nurse told had explained everything and Elfie had, of course, burst out into tears and cried herself to sleep many nights. Her father was still alive, but he ran off... he had left her hearing about the death. Two weeks later they released her out of the hospital and to her Uncle Charlie, her guardian, and she lived with him. She was a very depressed soul, she felt it was all her fault her mother died. If she hadn't wanted to go to a stupid horse lesson, it would of never of happened. Or even if she had just mentioned it a day later...
James wasn't gone forever though, he came back two years later and when Elf heard the news, she practically leaped out the door to go see him. Her uncle warned her not too, but she was never the girl who listened to everything. That evening she arrived on his door-steps he swore at her and yelled at her about how it was all her fault, everything was her fault... no comforting words coming from his harsh lips. You would think Elfie now hated him, but she wanted nothing more then his love, his approval. Elfie couldn't live with him though, she grew up with her uncle trying to forget about her father... but she just never did.
On the age of fifteen Charlie decided they should move to Paris, it would be a good experience for both of them. Elfie agreed, but now didn't have any horses... when her mother died and she was on the hospital her father had sold there horses wanting nothing to do with them anymore. Elf moved to Paris leaving her past behind her. Charlie even got her to take some horseback riding lessons after her short break from riding and she fell in love with horses all over again. She rode and rode and when you couldn't find her she was at the barn.
The age of seventeen she got her own horse and she boarded it. Her uncle had bought it for her after what she has been through, but Elfie was almost over it... the only thing was she couldn't let go. Maybe, god had forgiven her, but her father never answered her calls and he would never forgive her, so Elfie could never forgive herself. As she grew older she learned to control her feelings easily. She had kept her grades up and still lived at Charlie's, but she pulled through. After collage she had taken classes on animals deciding to be a vet. So, now she works as an assistant vet, part time, and she loves it almost as much as riding.
Then Charlie decided to get on the move again. So, they moved off from Paris... but Elfie took her accent she had perfected with her. She could now speak a fluent French and had a pretty strong accent from living there for a few years. She has looked and looked for the perfect place to board her horse and Charlie had also looked. Then when searching on-line she found a stable called Pinewood Stables and decided it was perfect. So, now she rides there and is pushing through life.
Elfie is now eighteen and has her own car. It is pretty beat up since she had to buy it with her own money and Elfie is now looking for her house in newspapers and anything else with sales. She has worked hard to have what she has now and the only thing she could wish for would be her fathers love... but over the years she has mostly forgiven herself and prays to her mother every night and blesses everything she has. Elfie isn't very religious, but when she was scared from her loss, god was the only thing she thought understood. Plus, the fact her uncle forced her to church and made her take the silver ring. It is a small ceremony and once you accept the piece of jewelry it means you can't have sex before marriage.

The clear fluid reached up toward to heavens, unable to see ahead Sophie pushed Solder into a faster paced hoping to outrun the wave of water. Water jumps could be tricky, unless you knew how to miss your splash. The big black gelding flung his legs, out-stretched, making long graceful strides. The black haired women then gave small half halts and pulling her horse into a medium sized circle, detaining his speed. The stallion rolled his optics looking insane, but Sophie sat easily in the saddle, showing this was normal action for the Irish Warmblood. The newborn air whipped around the women's face turning her cheeks a soft pink from the frigid breeze. Her mind had to work fast as the pair aimed for the next jump, three huge logs stacked with two flags off to the side.
Solder's muscles tensed and Sophie's feet dug down into her stirrups as her back was ready to lift into her jumping position. Everything seemed to stop, the world stopped spinning, Solder stopped moving, but really everything was just happening fast. Solder thrusted himself the second Sophie hoisted herself from her jumping saddle and leaned forward pressing her rough skin hands into his mane and slanting her heels down deeper into her stirrups for balance. Solder's hooves picked up spraying dirt behind them as his hind legs bounced almost effortlessly off the ground. The women stayed in her position without flinching as the stallion's hooves smashed the ground. Solder had landed gracefully without a trip or knocking against the jump.
The reigns seemed to slip through her fingers, instantly Sophie gathered them back up and rotated her head to the side while Solder flexed his head outward trying to snatch the reigns, while going at a hand gallop. Sophie could see no more jumps up ahead and the pair had been out doing cross country for about fifty minutes now, that would be enough. Sophie knew this was the biggest challenge with the warmblood, the one thing he hated, halting. The black haired women gathered her reigns up even more and Solder already knew what was coming. He threw his head up and picked stepped up his tempo and flexed his muscles as he started to rebel. Sophie caved in deep in her leather seat and gave a small warning tug on the reigns. Solder didn't even respond still kicking dust behind him as he bolted.
She wasn't about to take no as an answer and she gave a harder tug this time forcing her hands back to her slim hips. The horse wouldn't give up as he just tucked his head under, but she at least knew he couldn't rear with his running martingale placed from his bit, across his chest, and to his girth. Sophie gave her head a little shake putting herself in complete balance and focus knowing now she had to really mean it. Sophie thrusted her hands up the reign, about five inches away from the bit and yanked. She bought her hands up a little higher and was about to yank out his teeth, if he decided to keep going. Instead, this time, Solder skited and went up on two hooves like he was bouncing for a few strides. Sophie then slacked the reign and Solder was give an extended trot with his optics shifting around seeing if he was supposed to be heading for any others obstacles.
To get him calmed Sophie let her reigns go until her finger tips were at the buckle of the reign. Solder seemed to get the idea and you didn't even have to pull him back as he lowered his head and walk into a slow, western sort of, walk. "Hush mon petite ange," (hush my little angel) Sophie coaxed her horse, whispering in his ear. Solder seemed to respond better when she spoke softly in French, since most of his life and her life, they lived in Paris. Sophie had an accent when she talks and it just soothes the black stallion. Her butt moved along with each stride of her horse and her whole body relaxed, who said jumping wasn't tenseful? Sophie legs started to burn slightly like they did after each course she rode, it was hard work, even if she had been riding all her life. Sophie dropped her stirrups and stretched out her legs just like Solder was stretching out his neck letting his nose almost drag against the ground.
The black haired women twisted her weight in the saddle telling Solder to head toward to stable, they should be heading back and the stallion was now comfortable and not loaded with sweat. Sophie let her hair be carried by another breeze as she started to silently drift into her thoughts. She had only zoned out for a mil second before Solder darted his ears forward and took a spooked side step as a rabbit flung itself from the bushes. Immediately Sophie burst with pride at Solder, he hadn't bolted and didn't buck... she had been with him for about four years now and every time something spooked him she would usually end up on the solid ground. "Bon garçon! Vous obtenez les festins supplémentaires pour cela!" (good boy! you get extra treats for that!) Sophie exclaimed leaning down wrapping her hands around the warmblood's neck.
The stable was now in view and Solder started to get a little skittish, so Sophie decided it wouldn't hurt if she got the tad bit of energy left inside him out. She was about to squeeze her horse onward, but then a vibration came from her pocket. Solder twitched his shoulder but kept on walking focusing on the pasture, waiting for some of his friends to call out. Sophie took the reigns in one hand keeping slack still on them only hoping Solder could be trustworthy for five seconds. She slipped her phone open and brought it up to her ear. "Bonjour?" (hello?) Her accent flower through the line and Sophie realized it was silent on the other end and she quickly corrected herself, "Hello?" Sophie spoke. She could speak both languages living half her life in Paris with her uncle and a little less then half her life in America.
"Sophie! I finally reached you! God, were you lost in Sophie world for the last two hours or something? I have been trying to reach you forever." It was Sophie's best friend who went to middle school with her when she lived in Lexington, Kentucky. Sophie chuckled remembering how Becca could a drama queen. After all these years they had stayed friends somehow and called each other all the time. "More like horse land... you know I'm usually out riding around this time, so I turned my cell off so I could concentrate. You out of everyone should know that when your cell is ringing right before you take off over a jump, your horse will flip... I prefer not falling off and breaking my arms." Sophie teased Becca. When Sophie lived near Becca, she had fallen off her horse because her cell phone started ringing right before the take off over a jump and she had landed on the jump breaking both of her arms... what are the odds of that?
"Yeah whatever Soph, I just needed to tell you that I have a date tonight with Nate... the Nate!" Becca seemed ready to pass out now and Sophie could feel her excitement through the phone. Sophie could share her enthusiasm and out of all people Sophie knew how much her friend has had a crush forever on this guy. Yes, the both be may nineteen, but they both still acted like twelve year olds to each other. "l'OH mon dieu foutu!"(oh my fucking god!) her friend went silent again and then Sophie didn't realize Solder was standing still in front of the stable waiting for a signal, what a good boy. "Shoot! Got to go Becca." Sophie said about to turn off her phone but then her friend called back, "Wait, what did you say? You know I suck at French!" Sophie rolled her eyes and replied, "Look it up, it'll do you some good." Then flipped her phone down.
Sophie had already dismounted and put Solder away in his pasture. He had seemed pleased to be released with a gelding owned by another boarder and somehow Solder still had enough energy to do one lap around the pasture with his friend. Sophie had laughed and headed toward the stable aisle to get his tack put away into the stallion's tack box. Sophie was just walking in as she grabbed her ipod on a shelf on her way down and quickly stuck the two ipod buds in her ears and pushed play. One of her favorite songs started blasting through her ears drums.
