-- && -- ok, then, your my man, and i'll be your girl. she blushed violently as she whispered those words. at his next words she couldnt even speak. she just nodded. she hoped it wasnt creepy, but she wouldnt mind letting him stay at her house for long times on end. he didnt seem like the kind of guy that would want to be in her pants 24/7 or anything, so she didnt even get the akward feeling at the thought. should she make him go home and get clothes first? cause she would make him stay there until her car arrived in the morning, and probably more. she was slightly worried about the deliverers of the car, being she had had a bad encounter with one once, and they were very perverted. one friend in CO had even told her that they tried to hold the friend down, but she called the police. she wouldnt want to be alone if such happened.
-- && -- she nodded again as he spoke of the trucks. his wasnt too bad in her eyes, but there might be more unnoticable problems with it. her eyes went to her truck, and she wondered that if she got her new car tomorrow, she may want to give her fathers truck to Dan while he was being her distraction. was she rushing things? she sure didnt hope. but all of it felt like the right thing to do. a large truck pulled up to the dinner with four men in it. it looked like a construction crew, but it was that time of day to be getting off work and getting a good meal. as the men stepped out she couldnt deny that one was attractive. he winked at her, as the three others walked toward her and Dan to enter the Diner. Mia opened the door, and one of the men grabbed it and held it open for her and Dan. the one burly man was looking Mia up and down and winked at her. Moss ignored them and reached back to grab Dan's hand, and gently pull him to the truck. she manually unlocked the door and pushed it open for Dan in the passenger seat. she got behind the wheel and revved the engine to life. mia smirked at Dan as she backed out of the parking lot and into the highway. then she pressed the pedal to the floor as the truck roared loudly and shot off toward her house. need to go to your house for anything? like clothes or anything. you could shower at my house if you need to. and yes, Dallas is 95lbs, and Alabama is 65lbs. you'll be able to pick out who's who easily. Alabama is the blue and Dallas is the burgundy. she wasnt saying he smelled, but he might be uncomfortable in the sweaty shirts. or his wet shirt. and as for her dogs, she called them blue and burgundy but Alabama was a Blue Merle and Dallas was a plain brown and white. but they were both special to her.

Dan nodded and followed easily. When the construction workers drew near, despite his lack of muscle and being shorter than most, he drew close to her. He was a man who handled wild horses for a living a human didn’t scare him when they weren’t holding weapons. It was one reason he didn’t like humans, they killed each other in ways that defied logic. If my knife is bigger I win but if I have a gun! The logic was ridiculous. He shot the one who had winked a dirty look and intertwined his fingers with hers. The idea of clothes was appealing seeing as his still clung damply to his chest. He nodded slowly. ”’ang a right and um, ‘ead down to the trailer park.” He glanced away a bit embarrassed by his situation but he wasn’t about to avoid home. She would want to see it eventually he figured. He just shrugged off his uneasiness and glanced back to her.
”It’s far from posh but it should be ok for you to come in and look about if you like. There isn’ much to it.” He shrugged and let her drive. He quickly found himself a little tense with her speeds but he realized, despite her fast pace she obviously thought things through while she was driving and slowly relaxed. ”This old thing can move.” He commented softly, more to himself then to her. He was happy with his truck, even if it was failing in more places than one. It fit him oddly. A bit broken but still worked well enough. He glanced around and smiled a bit. ”Just need another shirt.” he claimed as he pointed the way to his personal trailer.
When they got there it really was nothing special. It was painted a dull brown with dirty windows and very little appeal. He hopped out and glanced to her. ”Don’t have to come in if you don’t want to.”

as they arrived at the trailer home, Mia spent little time judging the home. she wasnt big on judging, and she didnt want Dan uncomfortable. so she pulled out her cell phone, about to make a phone call, and flashed a quick smile. Sorry, but ill stay in the truck. Gotta call the tow man. she hoped that he wouldnt stay by the truck so she could make the call in privacy. only because she wanted to surprise Dan. resting her forehead on the steering wheel, she dialed the number and called. hey dave?mia? hey babe! she ignored his flirting i got your text when i was at dinner. so its coming tomorrow morning? what time exactly? he huffed slightly but spoke. yeah its coming though im not getting any sleep tonight. it should be there about 8 am. ...and maybe if your not busy after i drop it off, we could go get breakfe--- mia cut him off. she never did trust his type. my boyfriend is going to be there. and i want to surprise him when it pulls up. so text me when your on my road. a muffled sigh from him. fine mia. will do. she heard the phone click off, and she slid her phone closed.
-- && -- she warily looked at the house. being away from Dan made her anxious. especially in this area. his house looked fine, but the one in the backyard looked slightly menacing. she eyed a guy standing out front of that house, but he hopefully hadnt noticed her. she glanced at the house, maybe she should go up and meet up with him in it. she didnt want to be mean, but she was slightly ready for it to be morning and her car to come. was it selfish to surprise Dan with the car? was it boasting? she sure hoped not. she'd even let him be the first to drive it. and she was slightly possesive so that was a big step. he must surely mean alot to her. she smiled as she saw his figure pass a window.

Dan nodded and closed his door. He hoped, internally, she would lock them not that it mattered that much. He disappeared and hurried around. He ignored the bit of a mess he lived in, when you spent more time with your horse then at home that happened. He hurried into his room and looked for something clean and ok looking. He noted he needed to make a trip to the Laundromat and soon. He had very little he could wear and be ok with. He tugged off his current shirt and pulled on a tight white wife beater. Glancing around he threw a light, short sleeved, button up over the top, he left it open in too big a hurry to get out of his cramped home to care too much. He paused by the mirror making sure he didn’t look totally off, he would defiantly take her offer of a shower, his face was dusty and so was his hair. For now he grabbed a washcloth, wet it down and whipped off his Face. He might as well get rid of most of the dirt.
Hurrying back out, oblivious to what had taken place, he locked the door and walked over to the truck. This was all whirling past him so fast he didn’t want to seem to anxious. He hopped into the truck and nodded. ”Back out the same way ya came in.” He said with a little grin. He was glad she hadn’t come inside with how messy it had been. He was a guy yes, but everyone straightened up for someone they liked. He wasn’t going to have her coming in when it was a pig pen. He glanced to his neighbor, who had seen them, and nodded. The guy wasn’t bad, in fact he was thinking about hiring dan on for a week or two of work with one of his horses. Dan couldn’t complain to money. The guy was a little bit of a creep but nothing worth being scared of to him.

-- && -- she did just as she was told and went out the same way she came in. she revved the engine slightly, but kept a steady pace of 60 mph on the way to her house. it was silent, and she was feeling slightly akward. when they touched, it seemed real, and easier for her to communicate, but when they were apart, she got uneasy. she glanced over at him as they pulled onto her road. there was only one other house on Indian Quarter rd. and that had a lane that went off to a whole other area. she had basically the whole dirt road to herself. she hadnt really finished with her house yet, but her master bedroom and master bath were completed, along with the computer room, the living room/ dining room, and the kitchen. she had spent the first day unpacking and making it look as old as possible. she wanted it to seem like she had lived there for a while.
-- && -- she parked the truck in the driveway, then motioned for Dan to follow her. she slid down from the truck, and made her way to the front door. barking was heard loudly, but with a sharp whistle it stopped. her dogs were trained extensively, even better than Rain. she spent alot of work with her dogs when they were young, and they came out great now with a few years on them. two soft thudding sounds could be heard. it had to be the dogs tails on the wood floor. she unlocked the door, and the dogs were sitting to the right of the dog, exactic to see her and Dan. and without any command, they couldnt contain themselves, and went straight to work sniffing Dan. Dallas took a few minutes then deemed him safe, and pranced to Moss's side. Alabama took much longer in investigating, and seemed to like him. Moss smiled. Make yourself at home. I'll be in the living room if you want to go check out the house. i might put on a movie later. if you want. she smiled and akwardly turned to make her way to the living room. everything was so open, it was hard to get lost. she sat on the couch, and Dallas immediately claimed his spot resting on her legs. the couch was huge, so she sorta spread out, but left plenty of room for Dan at her left. the dogs typically took the right side of the couch, while guests took the left. Mia sat in the middle with plently of room beside her for Dan. she kinda wanted to cuddle, but wouldnt push him to do anything. Alabama was no where to be found, so she was probably following Dan around. she loved company, and always wanted to have all attention on her.

Dan felt the same anxiety the quiet bothering him but he didn’t know what to say to end it. He heard the barking and grinned, she hadn’t lied about the size of her dogs. He stepped out of the truck and closed the door before following her up to the house. He let the dogs sniff him and took the time to pet each one before looking up, ”You got a nice pair of dogs here.” he said with a sheepish grin glad to have something to talk about to end the silence. He tugged at his over shirt and nodded. ”Alright I will take a short peek around. Feel free to pick out a movie.” He shot her a roguish grin and darted off with his canine shadow.
He peered about the main rooms before curiosity got the better of him. He looked like a little kid as he made sure she wasn’t coming and stole into her room. So he wasn’t a complete gentlemen. He poked around a moment pausing at an object every now and then before glancing to her bed. He couldn’t help the images that rolled though his head. So to prevent himself from needing a minute to calm down he turned and forced the mental pictures from his mind. ”Right none of that.” He shook his head and hurried back out into the hall deciding it was time to go back to Moss before she sent out a rescue party. He picked his way back to the living room and flopped down beside her glancing to the dog. ”Look like you already have a boyfriend. Why would you need me? I think he might get jealous.” He eyed the dog before he looked to his own shadow. ”Looks like you’re not the only one who likes me either.” he said cheekily and winked to Moss as he leaned down to ruffle Alabama’s ears. He sat up and leaned back again enjoying to soft couch, his was stiff and saggy making it doubly uncomfortable.
”So I need to know more about you. Ok?” before she could have a second to think it over he pointed to her. ”Favorite drink. Go.” it wasn’t a question it was a statement but she clearly was expected to respond. His British tone was playful even as he tried to keep his face serious. ”Tick Tock Moss.”

-- && -- as he spoke about her dog she giggled. yeah, dallas is my boy and he knows it. he's my showing and agility dog. and my best friend. he can share though. she poked him gently as her legs rested on the couch, her torso twisting so she could sit up normally. he hopped up and rested on her legs. alabama loves people. i love her to death, but she's a people dog, and my boy dallas is a one owner kind of dog. she smirked at Alabama. she was just a purebred puppy that Mia couldnt refuse. she did a few tricks, but nothing special like Dallas could do. mia took a risk, and leaned over, so her shoulder rested against his arm. in this process, she had to scoot a bit closer to Dan, which made Dallas crawl back onto mias legs. she petted him gently as he rested his head on her ankles.
-- && -- she grabbed the remote and flicked the DVD and TV on. The Illusionist was still in the DVD player, so she decided to just watch that. she hadnt seen it yet. as Dan spoke, she twisted her head to look up at him. Alcholic or Soda fountain drink? my favorite alcholic drink is Vodka or Cointreau, and my favorite soft drink is Coca Cola. she winked at him. she was too young to legally drink, but she was no alcholic. only testing her options of liquor. she preferred beer over wine also. how about i write you out a list later of all my favorite things, and you do the same? she emphasized later, not wanting to ruin any mood with simple questions like that. she playfully poked him in his ribs as she grinned up at him. alabama hopped up on the couch and tried to rest on Dan's legs. mia giggled silently. as mia rested against Dan, she could feel herself becoming more relaxed.

Daniel nodded and stroked the dog that rested at his feet a moment before looking to her in thought. Her gesture did not go unappreciated as she leaned closer. For a moment Dan panicked not quite knowing what to do. His body tensed a little before he forced himself to relax and did what felt natural. He wiggled his arm free and placed it over her shoulders. His eyes hit the screen, some film he had never seen before. He truly didn’t care that much as he shifted around so he sat at a thingyed angle his back to the corner of the couch instead of straight. If Moss stayed leaned against him it would tug her body around so her back would be against his chest. Dan wondered if he was being too presumptuous but didn’t comment just waited to see how she would react. He wanted to be in contact with her it just was comforting to his fragmented mind. He couldn’t help his like of her companionship, they both were a little bit broken and together they could form a whole.
He let his arm wrapped around her sit down at her stomach, not wanting to seem a pervert, he was one but that did not mean he had to behave it. He couldn’t help but look when he saw a pretty girl and his mind, as many tend to, wanders. He tries to prevent it a lot of the time but it causes a lot of his awkwardness. He just let his fingers rest for the moment his other hand staying at the couch side, unless he swung another leg up there would be no reason to wrap that other arm around her because it would cause discomfort on his part but he was not about to ask her to sit between his legs, he didn’t think he could handle that yet. ”A straight hard liquor kind of girl. I am impressed.” her next statement made him glance back to the tv and nod wondering if it would be best just to keep his mouth shut for a bit to avoid saying something stupid for the moment again.

-- && -- she immediately moved to lean against his chest as he repostitioned himself. this was very comfortable. she did feel a slight tension radiating off him, so she tried to relax as much as possible. her head sat on his collarbone, angled to the tv. she giggled softly as he said he was impressed but as he grew silent she panicked. had she offended him? quickly she looked up to his face, trying to understand the look on his face. sorry... she whispered immediatly as she rested on him. she didnt look back to the tv, merely watched his face. trying to comprehend his mood or understand what he was thinking. her arms, even though she was in this weird position with her face angled up to his, rested on his, and her fingers entwined with his, but it was too akward at the level. she gently pushed them down till they were just above her hip. she continued looking at his face, bewildered by his last reaction. oh how she didnt want to offend him. she didnt want him to leave. how could she fix this?
-- && -- she had never intended to watch the movie. honestly, she wasnt sure what she intended. but she didnt want it to be akward so she felt it was a normal thing to do. she looked down at dallas, who had noticed attention was not on him and left. as he wandered glumly away, alabama chased after her companion. mia shifted slowly, trying to make herself as soft and not in an akward position. this was difficult for her, cause she was a slightly bony girl. her elbows were like daggers to some, so she tried to keep them on the couch. mia brought her legs up against the one he had on the couch, but left room if he wanted to bring his other leg up. this was the most comfortable she had been. i kinda ruined everything didnt i? she sheepishly giggled in a whisper. she didnt feel akward at the moment though, surprisingly. as she looked back up to Dans face, she blushed. this was the closest she'd been to a guy without it being terribly akward. she felt at home with him. like she meant to be. like this was right, and the best part was, they were officially dating. she grabbed the remote without looking, and turned the movie down. so, i guess we want to know more about each other, aye? she was unaware of her tiny mimick of his accent. when she said it, it held a very southern tune. she was trying to talk about what he wanted to talk about. she felt selfish now that she had stopped him. she was even alittle angry at herself for ruining the moment. whatever moment was there. she softly giggled at that thought. she needed to lighten up a bit. she was worrying too much.

Dan caught her expression and stare and tipped his head quite unsure what she was going on about his brow furrowed and those icy blues focused into her own. He thingyed his head from one side to the other trying to puzzle through this. ”you didn’ ruin anything‘… wha’ are you talking about‘?” still she went on and he looked a little frustrated with his own lack of understanding. He decided quickly he needed to get her to clam down and be quiet and so with out thinking he pulled one of his hands free, angled her chin a bit more and planted a kiss on her lips quite suddenly. The moment their lips met he realized this probably wasn’t the best plan. Most people didn’t kiss on the first date. Then again most people didn’t take you home on the first date. So he pulled back and turned a rather wonderful shade of red.
”Sorry tha’ migh‘ ‘ave been a bit much but I needed you to calm down. I am alright see?” he rose his eyebrows trying to make sure she understood. Soon as he was sure she wasn’t going to start talking again, ”I only asked things because I wan’ ta know more about ya alrigh’? Now no more workin’ yourself into a mad craze like that its not ‘ealthy alright?” He prodded her side as he released her chin and nodded. ”Now if you don’t wan’ to watch this movie we can just sit ‘ere and talk but I got a feelin’ that was your plan all along, righ’?” he winked at her and let his hand drop down to hold hers again. ”The only reason I got quiet was because I am bad at conversations moss. Better with ‘orses then people ya see. And my accent is cute on you, but I prefer your normal tones.”

-- && -- at his first comment, she tensed again slightly, now doubting herself. what was the moment? she didnt know. but that "moment" didnt involve this conversation. she slowly relaxed again, just noticing that his hand was coming to her face. it all happened quickly but clearly. as soon as their lips touched, she was completely relaxed. and she started to kiss him back, neck straining itself so she could kiss him back. it happened too quickly. and her stomach fluttered as soon as he returned to his previous position. as he flushed red, she could feel her cheeks go just as red. one hand wriggled free from his to reach up to his face, and trace the lines of his cheekbones before she returned it back into his grasps. she laid her head against his neck gently. as he spoke she frowned, but made sure to hide it from him. she was confused. had he been so sensitive to the emotions of others around him that he picked up on her quick mental break down and piece together? she would have to make sure not to do that again. she wrote that on a mental list, as she continued to listen.
-- && -- as he said mad craze, she flinched. she really hadnt meant to overreact, and this was definitely not what she thought they should be talking about. it wasn't romantic at all. she chuckled softly to herself. as he spoke about the movie she snuck a quick glance up at his face, searching for any sign of anger. she caught his wink and she relaxed again. she was screwing up big time she figured. she wanted to be so close to him, but if she was that ran the risk of ruining things with her slight mental disarray. she hadnt held up well mentally since Oli's death. and now that she had fallen....in love....she was feeling like only thin strings were holding her together. and without Dan, there were no strings. she sighed, hopefully unnoticed. as he spoke about the accent she debated momentarily about her reply. she was going to make a joke about her slip and his accent, but she didnt know if he was the type that would joke about such things. sorry. i wasnt paying attention. she smirked. she didnt mind slipping up like that, it made her feel closer to him, but if he didnt like it, she would do it. she stared up to his face. she had maneuvered herself so her head was far below his. she leaned up, high enough to give a soft kiss to his jawbone, and then sunk lower into his arms again. and by the way, i didnt mind it she giggled hoping he'd understand what she didnt mind. she wasnt looking at him, actually her focus was on the entwined fingers.
-- && -- she sat wishing that she could read his mind then she wouldnt have to ask any questions. she was tempted to ask him if he was mad or disappointed or anything in her. she knew certain people hated that questions, and she wasnt ready to find out which kind of person Dan was. cause if he had a temper it would show through that question. and tempers were one thing she didnt deal with greatly. instead, she mumbled something completely random. want anything to drink? i could go get you something. she waited silently for his answer. this was her turn to not be good with words. she stared continuously at their hand, and every minute or so, she moved the slightly, looking over Dans hands. and her hands. and them together. she was trying to focus on one certain thing so her mild case of ADD wouldnt be able to take over. brow furrowed as she concentrated, not wanting to move from her spot by a distraction. Dan didnt know it but if she went somewhere, she was dragging him along with her. she was worrying slightly in the back of her head that if she let go of him, she may never get him back. so she was holding on tight. she couldnt lose her missing puzzle piece. he was the only piece that fit her wounded heart. she began to wonder how he felt. how could she coax that out of him? how could she get his feelings out.but it was only the first date. was she rushing things? was she falling in love to quickly? she didnt know if she could stop herself now though, because she already was in love.

Dan was not so much good at picking up peoples emotions he was just good at sensing panic. With horses it was the single thing that told him when it was time to get out of the ring. He could judge people ok and all but he seemed to hone in on her feelings more then others. She was like a beacon for him and he couldn’t help but help her. It seemed almost necessary for him to fix her world. She wasn’t broken but he wanted to hold her together. It seemed they had, had bad lives and needed each other. Two halves of the same whole. He tipped his head at his own thinking then shook it off mentally looking back to her. Even though she did not look at him he observed the gentle curve of her jaw, that subtle line that made him smile. He liked how her hair fell about her face in that sloping curl in her hair. He wanted to reach up and touch it but seeing her grip on his hands he refrained. He felt silly for such wants never really having had them before. Sure he had had girlfriends in the past but feelings never came on like this, and very little of it was lust. He could not lie he couldn’t help his wandering mind but he wasn’t about to act on such thoughts, no something told him this was too big for that.
His mind wandered back at her words and he looked down to her face focusing a small smile still dancing on his lips, ”It is more then fine Moss. Promise I am not gonna to smite you for stealin’ it. Means you’re listenin’ to it which makes me ‘appy.” He nodded slowly and lifted a hand to stroke her hair running his fingers gently through it. He smiled at the way the dim flickering light of the tv hit it. Perhaps he was a sap but he didn’t care he wanted to remember every trace of her. That way if something happened he could map her face with his mind. Knowing his life, and his usual behavior something was bound to go wrong. He had already upset her and it bothered him. Well he would have to work harder to make sure he did it less, a rather stupid goal but one he made none the less.
He smirked at her talk of not minding it, ”Well I am more then ’appy to give those out whenever ya like alrigh’?” He sat up a bit straighter as she mentioned a drink, ”Well why don’t we go to the kitchen and see what you ’ave. I am more then content to come and look if you don’t mind my company. Then again I might make your pets jealous how I am hogging you.” he grinned sheepishly. ”I mean the big bad guy stealing kisses, taking her to dinner, working with her horse, st-” he cut himself off turning bright red again as he looked off to pretend nothing was going to be said. The boy was nothing if not a bad liar. He pushed her up as he stood then used the hand he still held to pull her up to her feet before she could complain. He wrapped his arms quite suddenly around her and stared down smiling.

-- && -- mia smiled as he spoke the second time. she hadnt ignored his sentence about stealing his accent, she just hadn't replied. as he spoke about the free kisses she giggled. but then a thought clicked. and made her laugh. she could have worried about it, but she felt like he wasn't going to leave her yet, so she'd just laugh. Whenever i like? You dont have to ask for one, or wait for me to want one. she blushed violently red, and looked down. she decided adding the part about she loved them might be alittle out of the question. it may make her sound alittle greedy. this thought made mia smirk a smirk that a little kid would do getting caught doing not so good, but when the child thought it was funny. yes, off to the kitchen. and you can hog me all you'd like. i dont mind. she laughed softly as he pulled her up and suddenly clung to her. she reluctantly leaned away from him, and for a moment only stared at him with her crooked smile.
-- && -- after a moment of admiring him, she turned away. one of her hands snatched his gently, and dragged him along behind her. she went the long way to the kitchen, with took them through the dining room, the hall and into the kitchen. as they got into the kitchen she reluctantly let his hand go. she wasnt sure if he wanted to have his own space or anything, so if he still wanted to cling to her, he'd have to go to her. she slipped a hair tie off her wrist and pulled her hair up into a sloppy bun. everyone called them sloppy buns but her's were actually pretty neat. when she looked down at her clothes, she noticed they were pretty dirty from her day at the barn. she shot dan a quick unreadable glance, and then softly spoke you can have whatever you find. i dont have any beer or liquor or anything, but i think there should be some options in there. im going to get a shower real quick. only be a few minutes i promised. she didnt ever have beer or liquor at her house. she only drank when at parties or with friends. and she hadnt drank since colorado. she walked to his side in a flash, and kissed him softly. then she turned around and started her way to her room.
-- && -- as soon as she hit the stairs she was running. she ripped her hairtie out of her hair on the way up. the stairs were carpeted so its not like you could hear her stomping up every second stair. she darted in her room and gently shut the door. she tore the clothes of herself, grabbed a t-shirt and some shorts and other appropriate attire, and darted into the bathroom. she was trying to hurry as fast as possible. she had a quiet fear that if she took too long he'd disappear. when she got in the shower the water was very hot, but not scalding. she shampooed and conditioned her hair, used her berry smelling body wash, and hopped out. she dried off quickly and got dressed. her hair was a sloppy mess, nearly black from being wet. she wasnt going to make him wait for her to blow dry her hair, so she brushed it, and through it up in another sloppy bun. she took a quick minute to compose herself then wandered downstairs. her long legs let her skip a few stairs on the way down gracefully. she wandered back into the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of water, and sat on the counter, watching dan with an intent smirk. did you miss me? she chuckled. it had only been about ten minutes but for her it felt like too long.

Dan smiled at the little kiss and lifted a hand to pull her closer and keep it as he pressed gently back into her lips but she whirled out of his grasp and was gone. He closed his eyes but just nodded as she hurried off. He wasn’t used to Having anyone else around so it surprised him when he deflated a bit when she left. He stood still for a moment, staring at the place where she had vanished to and thingyed her head slowly. Well it was not a horrid thing that she was getting some alone time. He knew he reeked of the barn still, smelled of horses and hay, not that he found it a bad smell and given mosses life style he wasn’t so sure she minded either. He eyed the fridge and then made his way calmly over peering at things she happened to leave there, many people had magnets or pictures of things they liked to had done so he found it interesting to look. Deciding he probably shouldn’t snoop too much he let himself into the fridge, Dan didn’t drink booze that often so he was more then content when he found a can of coke and he popped it open and took a sip. Swinging the door to the fridge closed he leaned on the counter to wait it out.
He peered about taking in the room and was actually a little intimidated by the size of the place. After a couple weeks in his tiny trailer he was used to the claustrophobia and Moss had quite the nice house. He wondered what she thought of him, besides her good feelings. She had seen the area he lived in, she had met his psycho stallion and all for what? Would she realize he wasn’t anything special and move on. He hoped not. Dan took another draw from his soda and looked down as one of the dogs wandered in Alabama he thought he was bad with names so he just bent down and rubbed the dogs ears contently., ”’allo girl. Nice to see your ‘ere to keep me company.” glancing about again he nodded, ”Your mum has quite the good woman aye?” He stood up again as she seemed content to go back to find Dallas. Sweet dog indeed coming to check up on him.
He did not have to wait long for Mia as she came hurrying back into the room. Parts of her skin still glimmered with dampness from the shower and her hair clumped in wet chunks making him chuckle as he looked her over a minute, ”’ardly ‘ad time to miss ya. You didn’t need to ‘urry so much on my behalf I am not going anywhere. Remember we left my truck at the diner.” his tone was joking and playful for the last sentence as he walked over and leaned on the counter beside her. He noted she smelled of berries now and he smiled inwardly, the smell fit her. Fruity but wild. He reached out and grabbed a lock of her wet hair and looked to her. ”You’re all wet still see this?” It was clear he was teasing her and he hoped she wouldn’t take it wrong. He was trying to be flirty, but he wondered how badly he was failing. Flirting was not his strong point.

-- && -- as he spoke she smiled. your right. your stuck now. i better go hide my truck keys in case i scared you off. she chuckled only being funny. she flashed another crooked smile as he spoke again. ok, then ill be gone for a half an hour just to do my hair. she giggled only kidding. but as she thought over what she said she sighed. she wouldnt last that far away from him for that long. she slipped off the counter to cling to him. her arms folded in against his chest, and her head rested on his shoulder. she was very content around him, considering her air conditioning had just turned on, and the breeze on her damp skin chilled her. she glanced down at her legs, which were nearly touching his. she had a few bruises on them, but nothing too bad. the worse bruise was on her back. from one of rains fits. rain was playing in the field with mia, and when mia went to leave, rain had shoved mia into the fence post with her head. the bruise didnt hurt too much, unless something poked it roughly. that had been a few days ago, so it was healing up.
-- && -- reluctantly she pulled away again to grab her water bottle. after a few swigs of it, she looked at him with a smile. im not saying you stink or anything, because you smell rather good, but if you want to get a shower, or clean up you can use my bathroom. im sure you already know where my bedroom is, so its the door in the corner of my room. she chuckled at her little joke. she had figured he went in her room, as she heard a few creaks in the house from that way when he went browsing the house. she wasnt bothered that he went up there. she would have done the same if the roles were reversed. she crossed the kitchen again but this time to stand beside him. her shoulder touched his, but she was really wondering if he wanted his own space. im a cuddle monster if you havent noticed, babe she spoke fast so the end word wouldnt sound akward. she flushed red and wondered if he had picked up on it.
