Emma looked up at the tallish young man. Do you mind if I ask why you're here...I mean, if you hate it so much? She was confused as to why he would even bother living in America if he didn't like it. Emma looked up at Collin with an unfaltering gaze. There are plenty of good things about America, you just have to look for them. She smiled at him brightly. Jensen and I can show you around if you want. We'll skip by all of the bad things. You know, cemetaries, nuclear testing sites... She laughed softly. She leaned down, petting Farrow gently on the head. Amor was laying down now, looking like she wanted a nap. Emma grinned up at Jensen. Your dog is really sweet. She said to Collin, still stroking the wolfhound, What's his name?

Jensen couldn't help but laugh as she mentioned skipping the cemeteries and nuclear testing sites. Sure America did have some bad things, but it was better than most countries in some ways. Jensen now held a warm smile on his face though he would have rather had it locked up into a stiff frown.
Jensen's eyes turned down to the wolf hound and he smiled a bit bigger. Wolfhounds were interesting dogs, at least he thought so. He gave a light sigh then shoved his hands deep into his pockets and looked over at Emma momentarily taking mental notes then looked back at Collin

Collin kept his head down as the two spoke- feeling abnormaly shy. In england everyone knew him. They had lived in a small town where neighbors knew eachother realy well and they all knew who he was and what he did. He was a dressage competor- nothing less. Here he was a nothing. He had to find where he fit in for the next few years. Like it or not. "I'm here for college." He supplied without looking up "my family was.. not able to pay for it back home."
He hated to admit it but it was the truth. Truth hurt right? His wolfhound wagged his tail lightly and looked up with his large liquid brown eyes at Emma, as if she and her dog where already his best friends. "His name is Farrow" The young man said in a low voice- watching the ancient dog and almost smiling. "He's from england also" he said- remembering the day he had found the dog. A shivering lump under one of his horse blankets- guarded faithfuly by his black mare as if she where his mother.

Emma watched as Collin looked down at the grass. She hadn't assumed that he was a shy person. College, huh? That sounds like a good reason to me. You'll love it here eventually, you just have to get used to it. She smiled, leaning down to pet Farrow. She didn't want to push the subject. She smiled when Collin told her his dog's name, and that he was from England also. Farrow is a lovely name. She said to the dog, kissing him on the nose. Amor nudged Emma's hands, and she smiled, reaching over to pet her own dog. Amor crouched down playfully in front of Amor, looking like a puppy. Emma stood up, and she couldn't help but laugh. Amor looked up when Emma laughed, whining softly. What's wrong Amor? Emma asked. She looked over at the young man, who was still looking downward. She was a little bit worried about him. He seemed really homesick.
