yea i would like IT to be easy
Wouldn't everyone. Yea sure, maybe she would have taken the easy road, the road more traveled. But nope, instead she had been forced down the road less traveled, bound and gagged, dragged over the sharp stones, run into ruts. She had taken the rougher road, the life of crime and terror, the life of hate and lies, but she had ripped off the gag, and torn loose the binds miles and miles ago. But yet she remained on this road less traveled, too far down to turn around, nothing left to do but keep going, keep traveling the hard road, the rough and rocky road.
Eyes rolled as she downed the bottle of beer, yes it was a light liquor, but it eased her mind, taking some of the pain away. She had taken a few aspirin with in the morning, that had been a mere twelve hours ago, allowing the pills to wear off. Sighing slightly she leaned back among the long grass, staring up into the cloudless sky, each star a small stone in the darkness. A small pebble of light. They would have been bright enough to supply enough light to see alone, but with the on coming of a full moon they were hardly noticed, lost in the bright glow. The night was cooling off nicely, the day had been bitterly hot, although sleeping through most of it had helped. Holding the cold glass of the bottle in her hand she watched it change colors in the light, then her eyes drifted to her pale hand. Her skin was naturally pale, a light ivory color her mother used to say, before she died, before her family became broken. Her knuckles were broken and scarred, the skin split. Bruises spread from the joints towards the back of her palm. Sighing she dropped the bottle and waved her fingers gently in the moonlight, letting the beams wash over her hand, changing the bruises to shadows and back again.
It had been a rough night, she had one of her anger problems and had ended up hitting a brick wall. Better that then a person, she guessed, but it would have felt better had it been a human. Her anger had built up over the years, memories of the past kept coming back, kept giving her strength away, falling to the weakness she hated. It had been one of those times, she had let it slip that she had a hard past, some ass holes wouldn't let up on the fact. She had ended up punching one in the gut, another in the face, but left the third alone, instead had hit the brick wall. Her right hand had swelled, bruises forming from the hits she had taken, nothing major, but add that to a hang over, it had been a rough morning to a rough night.
Sitting up she let out a low whistle, surprised when the grey mare actually lifted her head. Of course the horse didn't walk over but she had paused long enough to stop shoving the grass in her mouth and look up, a step in the right direction. Standing slowly the teen slowly walked over to the half arabian mare, laying a hand on her neck she ran her slim fingers through the long mare for a moment before hopping upon the mare's back. Standing a mere fifteen hands she was a short cross between arabian and thoroughbred, slimly built, the horse was elegant and powerful, graceful and yet some how dangerous and wild. Just a halter and lead rope controlled the mare, no saddle had been necessary for the ride out to the track, but it may have been usefully for the next few minutes of the ride.
Urging the grey mare to pick up a trot the pair floated down towards the track, the white fencing surrounding it long since deteriorated and fallen, but the track it's self was still in good condition. Stepping onto the dirt ground the mare instantly raised her head, her stride becoming tense and excited, limbs dancing sideways, pleading to be asked to run. The teen smiled, letting the lead rope snake through her aching fingers, grabbing on to the mare's snowy mane. No words were needed, no commands spoken, it was a mutual decision. The small mare exploded from the trot, her long limbs soaring across the dirt track, nothing more then a slight blur against the dark background, nothing more then a moonlight shadow. No one said life was easy, but everyone wanted it to be, wanted life to be just one simple ride.

It was Mel who happened to be riding nearby, and when she saw the two explode into a sprint, she couldn't help herself. She looked at Ty, and he had his ears pricked, and the muscles underneath him quivered in an easy seeing of need. It was his passion, he loved to race and he loved to jump. Mel smiled, and then he clicked her tongue. The muscles under Tys’ pelt, and he surged forward, muscles bunching in delight as he let it all out. The energy that had been underneath him was letting itself out, plowing through happily. Mel loved it too, the wind in her long hair, stinging her eyes but the cool wind felt good on her bare arms, her tank shielding at least her torso.
The boy of Tyler surged to the track, and he let it all out as he neared it. He was flying, soaring on the sand. Mel closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of freedom that surged through her, too. They had started their flight in the middle of the track, and when Mel opened her eyes again, she was startled to see another horse, it’s powerful legs flying underneath it’s grey pelt. Mel smiled, and her own body felt the need of competition. She felt her legs urge Ty faster, and she was flying herself. She went into the form of a real racer, and she moved with the horse as his own powerful legs bunched and let go with the muscles as he bolted on the soft sand.
As they flew, Mel was barely paying attention to the bodies moving next to her, or wherever they really were. She didn’t know if they were behind her, next to her, or even in front of her. She really hoped not, she just hoped that she was at least near her and not behind her. She didn’t care at the moment, though. She was just enjoying the ride. The feeling of freedom was amazing. She had never felt anything like it, it was so unlike anything she had ever felt. It was like letting all her troubles fall behind her, they just got lost in the sand as Tyler ran on the track, and she knew that she wasn’t the only one who was enjoying this. Tyler was loving it to, and she knew that, to him, it didn’t matter whether he won or lost. He didn’t care. He was just enjoying the feeling as he ran, making the sand fly underneath his ebony hooves.

The teen never noticed the other, equine and rider went completely unobserved until the grey mare slammed on the brakes. Haunches went down near the dirt, forelegs splayed out, coming to a rough yet graceful stop. Small flecks of dirt and sand were thrown into the air from the momentum, and fell back to earth, as did the teen's slight freedom from the past. She sat up straight on the mare's bare back, her fingers still entwined in the snowy mane, the single lead rope loosely held in her palm. Her right hand throbbed with the tension held on the threads of hair, but the teen didn't let go, the pain was nothing, it was not new, not odd or rare.
What the fuck?!?! Watch it asshole!!
She watched the other rider sprint ahead, no sign of envy portrayed in her eyes, no sign of loss, save the words she spat out. Each sound held the hatred and anger of her past, each holding the pain and sorrow of her future. They were thoughtless and heartless words, careless and feelingless.
Tossing her delicate head the small equine gave a slight rear, letting out a high pitch whinny of anger. The mare hated to be pushed around and beat by taller and faster horses, her bitchy attitude always made up for that in the pastures. But now she was usually turned out alone, leaving riding as the only way to show other horses her strength. It was something the teen admired in the horse, the way the mare never quit or gave up because something was too hard or too much. She'd run till her lungs gave out, jump until her legs broke. Maybe it was the arabian spirit, from the desert sands of a faraway country, her ancestors were the world to their owners. Taught never to back down, never to give up, but know the limits. That was something the rider herself lacked. She never stopped before reaching her limits, always going past them. Weather it was in riding or in a fight, she pushed the pain away and kept going.
Turning the mare around the teen gave a soft sigh and gently patted the muscular neck. Painfully and slowly she uncurled her fingers from around the mare's mane, winching as the fresh cuts rubbed she gave another sigh. There were days where she wished she had been raised as a normal kid, where she had actually had parents that had given a damn, but no instead here she was. Seventeen years old, high school drop out and already an alcoholic. She had been to juvie more then once, spent nights with men she didn't know. Sometimes she just wished her life had been easier, just an easier ride.

What the fuck?!?! Watch it asshole!![/b]
It was that Mel heard as she thundered past, and she slowly stopped Ty from his rampage. She trotted back to the girl and horse, a million apologies in her eyes. The girl seemed very...the only word she could summon was aggrestive. She was down-right harsh. Mel could see that just in her eyes. She seemed like a bad-ass girl, someone who didn't take any shit from anyone. Mels' eyes hardened a little, but the apologies stayed in them. She felt bad about her behavior, she thought this was a racetrack...so why not race? It just sounded like a thrill, not to mention Ty loved it, too.
She was frowning as she came to a stop about three or four yards away. She was cautious about the mare, she seemed just like her owner...aggressive. Mel wasn't afraid, not at all, she was just cautious. This pair didn't seem like the ones who were open and friendly, like Charlie. They seemed unforgiving and harsh. So she made sure she gave them their own space, not getting in her face. She didn't want to think of what she would do to her. She couldn't put on her usual smile, which was warm and kind when she was meeting someone new. She just couldn't put it on in these circumstances. So she just straitened her mouth up, bringing it out of the frown. Then, finally, she spoke in words that were nice, but weren't her usual warm happy words,
"I am really sorry about that..."
She said the words kindly, but as I said, not her sunny words. They meaned what they said, she always meant what she said. It was impossible not to be at least a little of herself. She swallowed, and she was suddenly worried about what the girls' response would be. She was pretty sure it wouldn't be the kindest words she would ever hear...
So she stood, well, sat her ground and waited for her to speak. She tried to imagine what she would say. "Shut up!" No, that looked too ordinary for this girl. "Shut the fuck up and leave me alone!" No, too emotional. She had no idea. And her worry wasn't helping. You couldn't tell she was worried or scared, though. She could compose that at the moment rather well. She just hoped it would stick.[/size]

Unsurprised, the teen heard the other rider slow to a stop and turn around. People these days wanted to please everyone, they actually felt bad about things they may or may not have caused, and wanted to fix it. People like this bothered the teen, people who were always trying too hard. Whether it was because these people always gave so much, while the teen never gave anything at all, or maybe they just bothered her, but whatever the reason people, like the one before the teen, were hated. Sighing she lifted her eyes off the ground and left them on the girl. The other's face appeared apologetic, like the whole thing was her fault, like she had caused the teen to swear and shout... okay then. She noticed that the girl was not smiling, wearing a small frown on her features, stopping a few yards away. The girl didn't look to be afraid or scared, just a little cautious, maybe overly cautious. As if she didn't want to be messing with the teen's type of people, as if she was better then the street people.
Yea, you should be sorry asshole. Goddamn, give a kid some fucking room to ride why don't cha eh?
She gave a slight smile, most likely invisible in the dark lighting of the night, but she smiled anyways. Crossing her arms loosely over her chest, the lead rope draped over the mare's arched neck. She gave another smile, perhaps smug and thingyy, overly confident maybe, but it was really who she was. She was born this way, molded and formed to be nasty and tough, to be carefree and feelingless. She was not a girl to worry over what others thought, she did not care to feel bad when she hurt others in her actions. Some might say all she cared for was her self, and maybe that true. she had no reason before to care for those around her as they had brought nothing but pain, so why care? She gave another smile waiting for the girl to reply, maybe the girl would have the guts to stand up for herself.

Mel’s anger boiled over then. Couldn’t this girl just get over herself and say it was OK? It just made Mel pissed. She wanted to growl almost. Too bad she couldn’t . She looked at the girl, and then a huge scowl covered her features. Who was this girl to judge her when she just met her? She practically glared at the girl, mean, harsh, and cold. She was pretty sure she would easily end up hating this girl. She was nothing like Charlie, whom was already her good friend. She wasn’t warm and kind, not even close. But her words just plain threw Mel off. It was stupid, and not called for. So icy words escaped her mouth,
“Why don’t you watch it?”
They were nothing close to her usual kind attitude. It was cold and harsh, and it was matched with her eyes. All the apologies were gone, because she didn’t care about it anyway. She just seemed like…well, now she just knew she was a bitch. She wanted to scream at her, to say what was her problem and she had no right to bug or judge her. It was evil. And she called her an asshole?! That was nice. It looked like this girl got her attitude crossed. Completely backwards. She seemed like the asshole, she seemed like the girl who should have watched it. Then a remark escaped her lips before she could hold them back,
“What? You’re afraid of a challenge?”

The teen gave a slight smile as the other girl's features changed, she looked pissed. Quite different from the girl who had previously been saying sorry. Of course some of them did turn, their so called sweet attitudes often changed rapidly when pressured to do so. The teen's features remained calm despite the growing tension between the two girls, features displaying nothing but a small smile, nothing but a mere smirk. She was used to bringing out the worst in people, bringing out the fighting side, the small side of rebellion that everyone held within them. It usually just took one person to release this, she was usually just the person to do so. Not one to be upset at other's reactions she sat, almost patiently, while the other girl spoke. A pretty sad comeback, but at least the kid was trying, at least she had the brains to try. Unlike some of the past people the teen had been confronted with, this one actually appeared to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
The kid's last comment made the teen's smile broaden, a challenge, no... this wasn't a challenge. This was nothing but a small talk, nothing more then a conversation. A challenge would have been a shoot out, a street race, maybe a fight, but this small talk was nothing more then a daily aspect of the teen's life.
Oh.. you think this is a fuckin' challenge? Shit kid, aparently you've never been on the street eh?
The words rolled smoothly off her tongue, cool and soft, they held something powerful and uncontrollable. The teen had never been controlled, something that was held in her voice, it was free and wild. Had never had the stern parents, the harsh rules of the modern day households, she had never been praised or had ever found herself looking for it. No, the teen had practically raised herself, wild and free. She was a teen that few would ever mess with, few that would ever stare her in the eyes until she looked away. They were always the ones looking away, they were the ones afraid to stare back, afraid of her wild, uncontrollable spirit.

When the words slithered from the girls’ mouth, and a sly smile came on her lips, Mel clenched her teeth. When the girl asked if she had ever been on the streets. She frowned, and then soon replaced it with a smirk of her own.
“No, I haven’t. That is because I’m not a stupid asshole who is an alcoholic and a junkie.”
Then her own evil smile played on her face. You have to understand Mel, once you get her boiled, it was really hard to cool her down. The only thing that controlled her now was her fury, pure and harsh. If she actually knew what she was doing, and not being consumed in her own self, then she would see how mean she was being. Then again, she was being eaten by her own feelings. And this time, they couldn’t be tamed. She was like a shark almost, once she smelt blood, she was in a frenzy. Mean and evil. Then, her own slick words came through her mouth, and only her devilish side was controlling it. Mel herself, well, she was gone.
“I’m not trash.”
She smirked, not knowing what she was doing. And she had no feeling of regret to hurting her feelings, no regret to saying what she did. She wasn’t there, she wasn’t feeling. She wasn’t Mel anymore.

The teen gave a slight smile, this was proving to be more fun then she had first thought. The other girl certainly had some various reactions, something few other people ever showed. Many people were too afraid to show what they were really thinking hen the teen provoked them, others just showed anger. This girl had anger, but it appeared as if the teen was embarrassed to be talking to trash like the girl. No big deal or anything, she almost found it slightly funny how the other girl thought she was this great big deal, laughter may have erupted if the other girl had not spoken first. Her words meant nothing to the teen, she had been called worse, much worse, so this little accusation of being an alcoholic, but no she wasn’t a junkie. She had only ever tried heroin once, never testing her fate with crack or weed, sticking to the harder drinks of gin and whiskey.
Oh, so you think that I wanted to live life on the streets? Maybe you’re right, the civilized life of pricks like your self isn’t really for me. I prefer freedom to rules. She gave a slight smile, almost breaking into laugher as she tried to picture herself as a civilized teen. The image wasn’t forming, she had never been in a home that belonged to herself. The teen had always lived in trailers, behind alleyways, never a real home. She had been born tamed and quiet, a true family, but as the foundation for this crumbled so did the walls around the small girl. As her family fell apart, the death of her mother, the birth of her step brother, she became more and more wild, more and more uncontrollable. The walls had soon become non-existent, leaving the teen with a sense of freedom and no respect for those who tried to tame her. Like a wild horse captured she fought until she could not fight no longer. The small girl who had been born to a family had grown up to an uncontrollable teen with no one.
Yea, you’re not trash, you’re just a prick, with the mind of a c~nt.
She gave another smile, more of an echo of laugher, yea the other girl was obvious not trash. But what made it funny was the way the other girl spoke as if she were the trash.

When the teen smiled, it almost threw Mel over the edge. She wanted to just go and rip this girl’s hair out. Every last, single strand. It was just plain making her pissed that she couldn’t. The girl’s voice seemed icy to Mel when she replied back,
“Oh, so you think that I wanted to live life on the streets? Maybe you’re right, the civilized life of pricks like your self isn’t really for me. I prefer freedom to rules.
Mel didn’t know what to say to that at first. But she frowned, and Mel, the real Mel, started to come back to her own body. She felt like her own words we a slice to her own wrist. She couldn’t believe she felt so horrible. How could she say such a thing. A frown went deep in her face, creasing her forehead. She spoke this time with a much calmer, more controlled tone,
“Everyone is who they are. They aren’t who they are born to be, but how they live it. You could be born on the streets, so what? But it is who you are that makes you you.”
She knew this was hard to believe coming from someone who just called you trash. It felt strange to not feel anger at this girl any more. Now she just seemed like a girl who had a lot of problems. Mel, of course, tried no to care. It was obvious the girl wanted no help. Mel grimaced as the girl spoke her next harsh words,
“Yea, you’re not trash, you’re just a prick, with the mind of a c~nt.”
Mel was embarrassed to say this, but she had no idea what any of the words meant. She hadn’t been taught these words, honestly. She was only taught the basics, and all along she had never had to worry about not knowing the worse words. She never really wanted to use them. She knew the words were harsh, and they meant that she was rich and had everything she wanted. Something of the sort, at least. Well did Mel have news for this girl.
“You are really quick to judge people, aren’t you? Have you ever thought that maybe I was born to really young parents? That they didn’t want me and decided to make me grow up with my Grandma? Maybe you never thought that I have had a harder past than you would think. But assholes like you only think of yourselves. There are more to people than you would think.”
Her rant just got a little angry at the end. This girl had no right to judge her! She didn’t even know her! She frowned, and started to deliberate whether she wanted to leave or not.

Rolling her eyes slightly the teen gave a small sigh, yea that was exactly what she needed. Just one more lecture on how she had done this to herself, how it wasn't how you were born it was what you did with your life. She had gotten lectures like this too many times, the officers had told her to clean up her act, the year she had spent in juvie, countless lectures on how she could change her life. She had been given speeches of people born on the streets who grew up to become millionaires, people who had gone to Harvard, Princeton, and other schools. The teen had been given more knowledge on the lower class people then she would have ever cared to know. The last thing she needed on this night was one more speech from a girl her own age. Letting out another sigh the teen stared down at her hands, on her right scars formed from the open wounds, on her left lay the intricate dragon tattoo. The red ink wound it's self towards her upper arm, starting it head on the back of her hand. It had been a dare, like the one on her lower back, but she had actually wanted this one. Returning her eyes to the other girl she gave a slight patronizing smile, before replying, words icy cold.
Oh great, just what I needed. One more person to tell me how I should fix up my life. One more fucked up ass telling me how I could actually become someone, how wonderful.
She gave another smile, laughing slightly as a confused look fell upon the other girl's face. Apparently little miss sunshine hadn't learned many words of the street. what a surprise she thought, the poor kid doesn't know what i'm talking about. Another eye roll was put into place as the other girl went off on another lecture on how she shouldn't judge people quickly. She had allowed a few people to pass her judgments, and that had not turned out so well. She had ended up unconscious and beaten one time, the other she had been shot at. The teen's experience had taught her to judge people fast and quick, if there was something about them she didn't like, she either turn away or, like the girl before her, prove them to a fight.
Oh wow big deal, young parents. Wow, surprisingly I've got something in common with you prick. I had young parents too. But did they send me off to my filthy rich grandparents? No, they just fucking raped and beat me. And yea, there probably is more people then I would think, but ya know what I don't really give a damn.
She ended up barely containing herself as her sentence ended, fingers clenched into a fist around the mare's grey mane. Her eyes were uncommonly cold, her voice even colder, yet there was a hint of sarcasm, a hint of laughter and below that a small stain of hurt and frustration.

Mel just rolled her eyes and shrugged it off. She didn’t care what this jerk thought anymore. She was horrible. There was no getting to her. She was cold, harsh, god. Why couldn’t she just for once try to listen?! It was so stupid, so dumb. She didn’t get it. She wanted to slap her, to try to get her head strait. She sighed instead, looking at her with annoyed eyes.
”Sorry to bug you so much.”
She rolled her eyes once again, shrugging. She didn’t get it. At all. All her life she had been taught to try to understand other people. This girl…she wouldn’t listen or even try. Just a little effort would be nice. Then she turned her head slightly to the side, and asked,
”If you have gotten this a thousand times then why don’t you for once listen to it?! It makes no sense, it is stupid!”
She shook her head, and just looked at her. She didn’t make sense! What kind of a girl WAS this? She looked at her, and she just felt sorry for her. She knew she wouldn’t appreciate it, but Mel didn’t care. This girl had some serious issues. And Mel couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. She shook her head again, attempting to clear it. She wasn’t going to fight her. She was just going to leave her alone. If she liked her life the way if was, then good for her. She could do whatever she wanted. Mel sighed, and then she had a big intake of breath as she commented on Mels’ and her own past. This girl was seriously disturbed.
”My grandma wasn’t rich! I wasn’t the one in a rich place, I was in a poor society. My grandma had the kindness to take me it. What the hell is your problem? And I understand that you had a hard past, but dammit! Why can’t you just fricken move on?! You were supposed to get over it. Seriously. You need to get over it and yourself. It is stupid!”

Giving the grey arabian a small pat on the neck, the teen gave a tired smile staring at the ground. She was tired of fighting with the world, but couldn't give it up. Like an addiction to drinking she couldn't get past the feeling of hate and anger, like the alcohol she downed daily, it was as if with out feeling hate she would forget the past. Forget the single person who had made her life worth living for the many years while in New York. She longed to forget the past and move on but she couldn't, it was stuck to her as were the scars and the bruises. Lifting her eyes towards the other girl her smile faded, and an exasperated look took it's place. Bored with the conversation she just smiled as the other girl spoke of an apology, sarcastic, yes, did it matter, no. She didn't care what the other girl thought, what she said or how she said it. The other girl's next sentence was one similar to the ones she had heard before, listen to what people had said, listen to the officers, they might actually have good advice. But she had chosen to ignore each and everyone of them, authority had always made her skin crawl, her heart beat a little faster, her mind a little more filled with hate and anger.
Stop worrying about my life, and start looking at yours.
The words were said surprisingly calm, not hint of anger that her previous thought had held. They were almost emotionless, dull, and some what tired. As if she was tired of answering to other's thoughts on how she could fix up her life. She had gone down the wrong road way too far to ever think about bringing it back, she was completely lost and broken off from the rest of the so-called civilized world. The teen had never experienced a civilized life, she had never had boundaries or rules that she was made to follow. Just freedom. Keeping her dark eyes on the other girl as she spoke, the teen just sat there. No emotion at all, despite how hard the words were stinging. She had tried for years to get over the past, she had tried to run, hide, drugs drinking, but it remained there every single time. Every night when she feel asleep it was there, every time she saw someone who looked like her family, every step she took, every breath she stole, it was there. Closing her eyes she tried to get rid of the thoughts and words that had entered her head, trying to clear her mind of the past, a past she had never told anyone about. Taking a deep, but ragged breath she spoke. Words low and soft, held with firm hate, a strong anger.
Fucking shut up, ok, just shut up. I don't want to remember, but I do. Everything I do or see reminds me of him ok? So just shut up. God damn.
She started to turn the arabian mare, wanted to fly. Escape from the stables, run from the law, from the officers from the past. But she knew it would never be possible, there would never be a place far enough to forget, she would never be able to go fast enough. So instead she fought it, it and everything that stood in her way.
ooc// ok i came up with an idea for sort of a plot type thingy... so annie kinda of spills some of her past to melanie, which i suppose could lead to a sorta friendship type of thing, where they aren't really friends but annie kinda trusts melanie with the little secret about her past. and maybe it could fit in here with this other plot>> pinewoodstable.proboards102.com/index.cgi?board=requests&action=display&thread=2020

Mel watched as her facial expression changed from bored, to annoyed, to even more anger. She seemed so troubled, so confused, she just seemed like a girl with a lot of problems. Mel felt really bad, she felt bad for yelling at the girl. This girl’s past was obviously horrible, someone who beat her, and as Mel looked closer she could somehow see that it went further than that. Deeper, deep as the ocean, where the currents we smashing into the rocks and it would drown anything that went into it. And she could tell that this girl had actually went deeper than just the surface, she was deep in it, almost to the bottom. Mel Raine could tell. This girl had a lot more that just a little bit of problems. She had horrors, she had nightmares because of this. She looked at the girl, and she sighed. She just wished she could help this girl. If only there was a way.
”OK, OK. I am sorry. But I think I have already got my life figured out. And if you want, I won’t worry about your life. But I think that you should…”
Mel didn’t know what to do. The words she had spoken we understandable; she just wanted to run from her past instead of confronting it. Mel Raine thought that perhaps it would help if she confronted her problems. You never really could know about these things. They were always a mystery. She had to admit, God worked in very mysterious ways, you could never think or guess what he would do next. She swallowed, she didn’t get it. How could things always be so confusing, so hard to understand?! It was just so frustrating, so annoying. She shook her head at herself. She would never understand it, ever.
”OK. I’ll shut up.”
She did what she was told, she stopped talking, and she just looked at the girl. She patted Tyler, and rubbed his neck gently. He nickered softly, and he could sense that she was having a hard time. She knew that horses would always understand what you were feeling. And she knew that Tyler would help her get through it. She sighed, and calmed a tad more, stroking his soft fur. She sighed again, and she started to really wonder what she was going to do. She wanted to help the girl. She really did, but she wondered really if this girl would actually let her help.
Word Count: 425 ooc; That sounds great! Mel really can be a good friend, and she can listen really easily. So if you really want to, that sounds great!

The teen had turned, her back towards the other girl. A fatal mistake made in the streets if one wasn't positively sure of who was in charge. She herself had gotten punched on the back a few times for this mistake, but had always been able to turn away in the end. She herself had thrown a few slugs for when people turned too quickly away, when they had the idea that they had the power, when they thought they could control her. She always had to remind them who really was in charge, this was no different. Her eyes on the sandy footing she waited for the other girl toe reply, one more smart ass comment was all she needed, one more bastard comment was all she needed to knock the other girl up a little. Just one more comment and blood would have been shared, but the girl didn't come back with a smart ass comment. Her words were understandable and caring, like she had actually wanted to help, like there was actually something in common, like it would do anything to help. The teen rolled her eyes, she was sick and tired of the daily shit she received and gave, but it was like an addiction.
Yea, you think I should what? Fix up my fucking life, great. What wonderful fucking news, tell me something I don't already know.
Words were spat out, as if they were too poisonous to even be contained. Their foulness casting into the darkened evening air, a spew of vile and hate. Words were saying leave me alone, but her body was screaming for help. She had run for so long, fought it every step of the way, people were hunting for her blood, her life. And yet all she could do was run from the past, she couldn't even stand up to it, instead falling apart at the mere thoughts of the past. Maybe her tough out look was to make up for the weak body she was contained in. Hard to imagine, but she was struggling to survive, despite the outer toughness. It was something she would never let anyone know, something she would never reveal, something maybe not even to her self.
Yea, I think that would be best.
She didn't even look back but quietly and quickly urged the grey mare into a lope, escape was her only option. Leaning over the mare's neck, after they had increased the distance, the teen once more asked the horse to fly. And once more the horse allowed the girl to forget her past, to forget everything for at least a few moments. Limbs raced across the ground, quickly out ran the sand footing and moved to the wild grasses of the surrounding field. Nothing more then a mere blur.
ooc// yea, but just to let you know, she will be slow to warm up to mel, so yep :] but sounds exciting
