Looking over at Aaron she nodded. "Yeah, Sun here would just love to go on a trail ride." Tilting her head to the side she considered his question. She hadn't been here long but she knew the stables pretty well. She was almost one hundred percent sure that they could get to the trail on horse back.
Glancing over toward the area she was sure they could go she lifted her hand a pointed. Turning her head she opened her mouth and answered "I think we can go that way" Guiding her horse softly by the reins she set off in the direction of the trails. Her mind wandering as she let Sun walk slowly. There was no need for speed currently. Once they were out on the trails maybe she could let Sun gallop. But for now her mount would just have to settle for a slow walk.
Upon reaching the trails she smiled. Well that clarified it she did know the stables like the back of her hand. Reaching down she patted her horse's neck affectionately. Her gaze skipped from the trees and shrubbery to the sky and the sun beating down on them. Let's just hope the trees give off enough shade from the sun Sandy mumbled to herself.

Aaron followed Sandra and Sun about 10 paces back, not wanting to spook Sun by riding too close. After a few minutes, Aaron noticed that they were no longer surronded by arenas and stalls, rather white fenced pastures lined their trail. Up ahead, Aaron saw that a mass of trees grew. That must be the beginning of the trail... thought Aaron.
Now that their current destination was in sight, Aaron clucked Marjorie into a swift trot to catch up and ride side by side with Sandra and Sun. Once he caught up, he slowed his mount to a walk again, keeping pace, noticing that both horses were pulling for more rein.
Reaching down, Aaron pat Marjories dappled neck firmly, Don't worry girl. We can run soon enough.. Turning to Sandra, he added, I am sure that Sun would like to run too, no? There must be some area ahead that we can let them loose...
A few paces ahead Aaron saw a large white billboard standing in the dirt. Upon closer inspection, Aaron saw that it was a generalized map of the area. It showed on the southern part where they were, with the stables behind them. There was a single trail ahead, which eventually branched out into 3 seperate areas. One led to the northwest, deeper into the forest. One led to the northeast, to a large lake, it appeared, while the third just led in a large circle around the entire path, continuing north for some time but eventually veering to the right.
Turning to Sandra, he said, So...which one do you want take?

As Sandy heard Aaron's words she gave a simple nod. Glancing over at him she smirked. "What racehorse doesn't want to run?" She asked him teasingly. She was positive he knew that Sun was a racehorse. Anyone who looked at her should know. Even the people who knew nothing about horses. Just the way she moved seemed to show it. The way she constantly asked and them demanded more rein so she could run faster. Yes, SUn was most definitely a racehorse.
As they walked toward the trails Sun started begging for more rein. Like she always did. Sandy slowly tightened her hold on the reins to keep Sun from bursting into a run out from under her. The last thing she needed was for her horse to run away from her. Now wouldn't that look great? The sarcastic thought drifted through her mind before she could clear her thoughts. She needed to focus. Even if they were going on a trail ride and they were supposed to be relaxed. Sun would take advantage of her wherever she could. It was just normal. Sandy had simply come to expect the tricks that her thoroughbred mare would pull.
When she and Aaron came up to a billboard she looked over at him in time to see him to to look at her. As she heard his question she looked back toward the white sign. Forest or lake? Sandy really didn't care all that much. Seeing as she hadn't been to the forest yet she decided on that. Turning her gaze back to Aaron she spoke "How about the trail to the forest?" She asked him. Usually she was pretty pushy in the sense of she would start walking toward the area she wanted to go to but today she decided to wait for Aaron.

Aaron nodded. Forest sounds good to me. Clucking gently, Aaron gave a small amount of rein to Marjorie and she immediatly went into a swift trot, her polished hooves making a low thumping noise on the hard dirt.
About 50 paces into the trail, Aaron noticed that the trees became more and more dense, until there was just enough room for Aaron and Sandra to ride side by side. The roots on either side of the large trees were massive, hinting that they had watched many a decade come and go. Sunlight dappled the forest floor, making the temperature cool but slightly humid with the dampness from all the plants. Aaron saw many species of flowers - there were the regulars like daisies and orchids, but then he saw large flowering red and yellow bulbs, circular purple flora dotting a hunter green bush, and even large leafy plants covered with hanging blue bells.
This area really is gorgeous, dont you think?

"Great" Sandy answered with a smirk. She hadn't even been pushy, yet she was able to get what she wanted. She was sure that would drive her sister nuts. Besides her sister was the one always covering up for her. Sandy seemed to almost always get what she wanted. The only thing she couldn't get was her home. She hadn't had a choice in moving to Virginia. To tell the truth she was still mad at her dad for making them move.
Sandra watched the trees whip by rapidly as they rode down the trail. A little ways into their ride she realized the trail had become wide enough for them to ride side by side. Her gaze wandered from the trees down to the flowers. Sandy wasn't one to appreciate beauty like others did but even she couldn't deny this area was beautiful. A small brown moving object caught her eye. A smile passed quickly over her features as she saw the small rabbit. She watched its little nose twitch rapidly back and forth and then stomp the ground with a back foot. Her gaze followed the bunny until it disappeared into the bushes.
At the sound of Aaron's voice she snapped out of her thoughts. Turning her head slightly so she could see him out of the corner of her eye she nodded. "Yeah it's nice" She agreed. He most likely wasn't going to get anymore out of her. The only time she used the word gorgeous was when she was talking about a horse or possibly a guy... "So how long have you had your own horse?" She asked curiously, trying to keep the conversation going.

Aaron sighed, relaxing and enjoying the trail ride. It was a nice change, after all of the moving and looking constantly for a home. Turning towards Sandra, he replied. Well I have grown up around horses my whole life. But the first horse I ever owned that was all mine and nobody elses was Ebony.
Aaron had been raised on a western ranching farm, where rodeo was every persons dream. All of his siblings were champions in the western arena, but after years of denying it, Aaron finally admitted to his father that English riding was his calling. His father then threw him out onto the streets, disgusted that one of his own liked the "sissy sports" of riding. But Aaron knew better, and continued to follow his dreams.
Turning back towards Sandra, he asked, And you? I know you said you had a horse before Sun, but were there any others?

Sandra nodded slowly as she listened to Aaron. "For your first horse he's amazing" She said offering his horse a compliment. Most peoples first horse was no where as good as the hanoverian stallion Aaron owned. Most horses people got were mixes. Not that mixes were a bad thing. They just weren't what Sandy would want.
Sun's ears pricked forward and she quickened her stride as if she wanted something exciting to happen. Slowly Sandy pulled harder on the reins to decrease her speed to continue walking alongside Majorie. With one hand still firmly holding the reins she praised her for slowing down with a pat on the neck and a few soft murmurs. Straightening back up she looked back over at Aaron.
"No, there weren't any others" She answered calmly. "I've had Sun for a little while" She said with a smile. There wasn't much to tell about her riding. She had done it since she was little and then she and her sister had gotten a horse for good grades. Can you imagine getting a horse because your grades in school were good? Well the horse was thanks to her sister. Seeing as Sandy herself didn't care about school and rarely did homework...
(wrong account, sorry. xD)

(ooc: From what I can tell...this is turning into more of a friendship btwn the two of them...is that cool with you?)
Aaron sighed again, enjoying the ride. It was so peaceful around here. Eyes flicking ahead, Aaron saw that the forest broke away for about a mile, into a wide open area covered in emerald grass. As the trotting duo approached the end of the forest, Aaron turned to Sandra, grinning. Race ya!
Kicking his heels into Marjories side, the mare grunted with exhileration and then flew right into a gallop, gaining speed with every stride. Her pistons flew beneath her, churning up the dirt behind her. But Aaron wasnt worried, he knew that Sun, being a race horse, would surely catch up. Marjorie, on the other hand, was intent on winning this sudden race. She hadn't had the chance to run like this in awhile, and was detirmined to win. She lowered her head, ears flattened on her head and neck extended, putting every drop of energy in her body towards racing. Her legs were a dappled blur of grey and white, if you stared long enough it might look as if she had eight legs instead of four. She was absolutly flying, and Aaron was loving every minute of it...

(That's fine with me ^-^)
A huge grin claimed Sandy's face as she heard his words. Laughing she urged her mare forward. Clucking softly to encourage. Not that she needed any encouragement. The mare happily lunged forward. Giving one playful buck out of her happiness.
Still laughing she urged the mare to go even faster. Majorie and Aaron were already ahead of them. Leaning down low on the mares neck she watched the ground in front of them. Legs wrapped securely around Sun's barrel as she ran still faster. Neck and body stretched out so far she looked like a greyhound running. The mare was still trying to gain speed because Majorie was still ahead of her. Putting on another burst of speed she easily caught up with the other mare. Legs moving swiftly so they looked like blurs. This was why Sandy loved racing. With a huge smile still on her face she glanced over at Aaron. Then back to look at where she was going. Sitting quietly astride Sun as she started pulling ahead of the other mare. Chuckling she kept the mare just a little bit in front of Majorie.
When they were nearing the end of the long stretch she started to tighten the reins. Pulling back softly inch by inch. Sun obediently slowed down into a smooth canter and then to a tired but still spring trot. She was a lot happier after the run.

Marjorie flicked her ears back, adding more effort into her run as she heard the other mare gain on her. But it was no use, Sun was too fast. Once Aaron saw Sandra start to slow Sun down, he did the same. Marjorie snapped her neck at him, begging for more rein now that the other mare wasn't running, but Aaron didn't relent until she finally slowed to a jolting canter and then a high stepping trot. Marjorie's ears flattened on her head momentarily, and she gave the mare an utter look of despise, but then raised her head back to normal. Marjorie wanted a rematch, that much was obvious to everyone. But she was tired nonetheless. Her chest was heaving, gulping in oxygen as her heart beat returned to normal.
Aaron pet Marjorie's neck firmly, praising her for doing a good job. She flicked her tail in annoyance, once again remembering that she lost the race. Aaron snapped one rein gently and her ears pricked up again - Aaron's horse wasn't going to be a sore looser for long, if he could prevent it.
Slowing Marjorie to a walk, he turned to Sandra. Want to start heading back now? I think we are almost outside of Pinewood territory...
(any ideas for more... or...??)

Sun was walking along quite happily now that she had gotten to race once. Though she hadn't needed to go full out. Reaching down with one hand she gave a calming pat on the thoroughbred mares neck. With a happy smile on her face she eased up on the reins. Sun dropped her head dramatically like she had been run to hard. "Silly girl" She murmured softly, chuckling. Glancing over she saw the irritation of losing written all of the other mare. Majorie's ears were back and she lashed her tail irritably. With a small smile she looked back at her horse. Maybe racing a race horse and a horse that was competitive wasn't such a good idea...
"We are" Sandy exclaimed in surprise. She hadn't realized that they had run so far. Well... maybe she had. She just didn't care. She was always getting into trouble anyways. There was really no reason to get back now anyway. Sure she had curfew but she never obeyed it. Sure her parents had rules, but who cared? However it looked like Aaron cared so Sandy consented. "Alright" She agreed. Easily she directed Sun back towards the barn
(I don't know >.< *thinks* we could have them hang out elsewhere?... we can decide through pms ^_^)
