A loud irritating noise filled the entire room. Slowly Sandra's eyes parted letting her have a blurry vision of her bedroom. Reaching out with one hand she whacked her alarm clock on the top. Pulling her hand back she rubbed her eyes trying desperately to wake up. She had been out late last night at a party and the last thing she wanted to do was wake up at seven a.m. to go to the stables. Flipping her sheets off of her self she rolled over to sitting position. Stretched her arms she let out a large yawn.
Finally awake enough to stand she did just that. Walking clumsily to her bathroom. Looking at herself in the mirror she quickly dragged her hairbrush through her wavy dirty blonde hair. Once she was done she examined herself quickly. She could use some make-up but at this moment she really didn't care. Walking out of the bathroom she opened her closet and quickly selected a form fitting white sleeveless shirt and some light faded blue jeans that clung to her thin muscular legs. Throwing the clothes on quickly she slipped on her riding boots and walked out of her bedroom.
Stopping in the kitchen just long enough to grab a banana and the car keys. Hurrying she stepped out and locked the door behind her before jogging to her car. Unlocking the door she hopped in and stuck the key in the ignition. Turning it to start the car and then backing the car out of the driveway. Once she was on the road headed toward the stables she relaxed. She was only 10 minutes behind which wasn't to bad for her she thought with a smirk.
A couple of minutes later she was driving into the parking lot of the stables. Finding a parking spot was easier than usual so she got one nearest to where her horse's stall was. Parking the car she hopped out and turned momentarily just long enough to press the automatic lock button on her key. Satisfied that she was done with her boring morning dailies she walked into the stables.
A loud nicker and a stamping of hooves greeted her as she neared her horse's stall. A sleek dark brown head popped out of the opening above the half door. As she neared the stall door her horse stuck her large light brown muzzle forward sniffing to see if she had brought treats. Laughing Sandra held out her empty hands and Sun snorted in disapproval. "Sorry girl" Sandra said chuckling. Reaching up she patted the thoroughbreds jaw before opening the stall door.
Clipping on the lead rope she led the attentive equine from the stall. "Ready to do some work?" At Sandy's question the mare snorted in what seemed like disbelief. Cross tying the mare Sandy quickly combed her coat and then set to work on her hooves. The hoof pick sent clumps of dirt flying before she was done. Stepping away she looked the mare over making sure she didn't miss anything. "Alright Sun" She murmured softly.
The dark chocolate brown colored thoroughbred stepped elegantly out of the stables. Sandy's small frame sat perched on top of her back. Guiding her gently with the reins towards the practice arena. Sandra wore not riding hat, as usual, though her instructors always told her it was dangerous. Of course being her she had just shrugged them off and continued in her usual habit. Confidently she sent the mare forward but kept a snug grip on the reins as the mare danced beneath her. When Sun's hooves hit the dirt of the practice arena she went wild. Constantly tossing her head and pulling at the reins trying to go faster. "Pure racehorse" Sandra mumbled sarcastically.

This guy seriously had no breaks what so ever. This guy basically works for a long time. The reason is because this guy has to do some stable work because he is a stable hand. On top of that he has to train a Hanoverian mare who is basically green in everything. This mare is beyond crazy because Jakob can easily fall off this horse if he does something completely stupid. However, this horse is not that bad, because of the amount of times Jakob actually spent with the horse. Now it is time for the real thing. Jakob is going to ride this mare and see how things go.
Jakob practically lives at the stables, because of the amount of times he is there. Plus he has no time right now to go searching for a house or some place to live in. He has to get enough money to do it. So there is no need for him to drive over to the stables when he can just walk two seconds to it. He basically sleeps in the loft, but he has his sheets that he sleeps on, because he has no idea if someone before him slept in it.
Once he got out he slipped on a pair of jeans, put on his paddock boots, and put on a crappy t-shirt. He really doesn't want to rip any of his clothes while he is riding a horse that could rip them. This horse can basically do anything to him if he is not paying close attention. Once he got himself dressed he walked over to where the stalls were. He then looked around and just saw someone leave the barn to go ride. He then went over to where his horse in training lives, and as usual the mare had her beautiful face out basically checking Jakob out. She knew that she is going to have to work, and this mare is so high in energy that she will manage. This horse is like a thoroughbred because of it's temperament. But this horse is indeed pure Hanoverian. Jakob grabbed the lead rope and clipped it on her halter, because this horse is not that good with the halter unless Jakob is there to watch whoever is putting the mare's halter on, because this mare is pure evil to everyone, except Jakob. But that is for putting on the halter only!
Once the mare was out of her stall, Jakob clipped her to the cross ties and started to groom her. Once the grooming was done, he grabbed her tack from the tack room. He gently placed the saddle pad, the foam riser, as well as the saddle on her back. He then placed the girth on the first hole before of the fact that it's a habit. He then went over to the other side and grabbed the girth and pulled it enough that he can tighten it on the other side so that the saddle won't look weird. Once the girth was set, Jakob placed the reins over her head, took the halter off, and put the bridle on.
He then grabbed his gloves that were in his back pocket and placed the gloves on. Since the horse doesn't need any crops or jumping boots, he is leading her to the outside of the stables so that he can get on and just ride to the ring. Since Jakob is experienced he really doesn't want a helmet, because he basically trains horses without proper head gear because he knows how to stop himself from falling. Once the horse and him were outside of the barn, Jakob just hoped on, because mounting blocks are over-rated. He then took the reins gently in his hand and clucked her softly so that she can start walking over to the ring. Since it is sunny out too, Jakob placed his sunglasses on, because his eyes are quite sensitive to the sun.

Sandra concentrated on controlling her hyper thoroughbred mare as she let Sun trot forwards. The mares gait was choppy, clearly showing how unhappy she was at the slow gait. Sandy tried desperately to flow with the motions of the horse but she kept bouncing up and down like she didn't know how to ride. Frustrated with her mount she pulled her to a stop. Sun started chomping on the bit and pawing the ground from boredom as she stood. Tightening the reins and pressing with her legs she signaled Sun to go backwards. Grumpily but obediently the mare did as she was instructed. Finally releasing a little bit of the reins she let the mare go back into a trot. Happily the mare obeyed and her trot was much smoother. She had decided that gait was better than not moving at all.
Sandy's gaze strayed towards a guy coming up on a beautiful mare. Sun quickly sensed that she wasn't getting all of her attention and gave a little buck of protest. Practically steaming with frustration she quickly got her mare back under control. Her gaze stayed firmly on her horse. However from the corner of her eye she was able to see the guy was coming up toward the practice ring.
It looked like the mare was a green broke. She didn't look utterly confident and she seemed a little skittish. From underneath Sandy, Sun tried to stretch her head out so she could get more rein to run. Taking in more rein she kept it snug enough her horse couldn't go any faster but it didn't hurt her neck. Keeping her body sitting up straight she continued to watch the guy from the corner of her eye.

Jakob led the mare over to the ring. Just a nice steady walk, nothing to fancy yet. Jakob really trust the mare at all yet when it comes to trotting over to the ring or cantering over to the ring. The reason why he doesn’t trust her is that De Luxe is still green. The poor thing doesn’t have enough confidence at all yet. But that will change. Jakob will make her be able to jump 6 feet. That is his goal with this horse because Jakob wants to represent the USA in the Olympics for show jumping. This guy loves to jump, and he seriously can’t stand flat work. Even though Jakob is basically training De Luxe to be able to participate in the 3 day eventing. Such a daredevil Jakob is.
He then looked around the practice ring as he just walked right on in. Of course he saw someone already in the ring, but with this horse he has no idea if he should make a sudden move, because De Luxe is still green. A beautiful Hanoverian mare, but one with an attitude. Jakob will be able to change that though. He is able to train a wild and crazy horse to go mellow and calm. Also, Jakob looks the same on every horse he rides. He has calm, gentle hands. A strong lower back, and abdominal muscles. Also, a nice posture and of course the legs.
Jakob let the mare take in the senses before they go to work. Plus, he wants to make sure that the horse won’t freak out on him over something small. Jakob then noticed that the mare’s ears were alert and basically telling him, let’s go already. However, maybe it’s because of the girl already in the ring, and De Luxe wants to make her rider look all sexy and all that. But who know’s, because Jakob isn’t the kind of guy that want’s to show off to girls to gain approval. But the mare thinks otherwise.

Sandra tried to refocus herself on the horse she was riding. One thing she learned was to never let your mind wander when you were riding a racehorse. But sometimes it was just so darn hard. Fixing her posture she sat up straighter and eased slightly on the reins. Happily Sun lengthened her stride and went in a steady slow canter. "Good girl" Sandy murmured softly to her horse. Sun was acting like a pro today. She was still a racehorse so she still pulled and asked for more rein but she wasn't acting up as much as she usually did. With one hand she gave Sun a firm pat on her dark chocolate colored neck.
Sandy sat easily in the small racing saddle as Sun moved steadily in the slow rocking canter. Her body rocked evenly with the smooth gait. Her wavy sandy blonde hair flew out behind her because it was unrestrained by any riding hat. When she was on her horse she always felt more free, more alive. Sounds sappy doesn't it? At that moment Sandy didn't care what anyone else thought. She was on her horse. Doing something she did well to the best of her ability.
A low nicker left Sun's muzzle and the gentle sound brought Sandy back to reality. She was in a riding ring, a practice ring. There was another horse and rider in there with her and she needed to pay attention. However despite switching her attention back to the present she couldn't stop a happy smile from claiming the features on her face. Slowly easing up on the reins she brought the thoroughbred mare to a steady faster paced walk. Glancing over at the guy that entered the ring she smiled.

Jakob was shocked to see that his mare was all ready to go. Usually this never happens, but what can he do? De Luxe is a mare with personality. Sometimes she wants to look her best and probably today was one of those days. Jakob already is aware of the other rider on a thoroughbred. But Jakob wants to work and get some things done before he goes into double work with the mare. After he warms his horse up he will be more then happy to talk and meet the girl that is also in the ring.
Jakob let De Luxe stretch out her legs by trotting. Yes Jakob really doesn't want to rush into things with this mare. He really doesn't want to jump into a canter, because he knows this horse inside and out. This horse once it canters, you will never have this horse stop when you want her to stop. She is basically full of energy that will never go away when you jump her into things. He then passed across the diagonal line, because he isn't sure about De Luxe being crazy about the other horses yet. Plus, De Luxe moved to Pinewood Stables a day after Jakob did, so he wants to be safe then sorry. Once he did a couple laps of trotting he gave the mare a signal to break into a nice steady canter, and so the mare obeyed. This horse's canter is so beautiful that basically almost everyone wants to ride De Luxe for her canter. Also, Jakob isn't wearing a helmet at all, because he knows how to decrease the risk of falling off a horse, any horse actually. So he just will let the power of the sun make his head really hot and cause him to sweat.
