Ah, there she stood, the lovely Indigo Blue. She was such a pretty thing, with her red and white painted coat and shining blue eyes. She stepped daintily from the trailer without being lead, letting out a sweet nicker towards anyone who happened to fall within her vision. She was a sight to behold that mare. She was well built as would be expected for a quarter horse, but very petite at the same time. How she pulled that off, he wasn't really sure, but she did. No one bothered to put a lead on her halter, she wouldn't be going anywhere she wasn't supposed to. In fact, the moment she saw the person waiting for her, she walked towards him, happily tossing her head as she did so. She was definitely a dream horse.
Well hey there Miss Indy. Charlie said as the mare walked up to him and pressed her head into his chest lovingly. She was such a people horse, he would put a five year old up on her without hesitating. She would see to it that they didn't fall off. The smaller the person, the better she liked them. Charlie felt a gentle tug on his shirt and looked down to see Indy with the material between her teeth. She was about the sweetest horse he'd ever met, and that was saying a lot considering he also owned Brig who was very well known for his social skills.
He smiled and patted her neck before turning and heading in to the barn. The thudding of Indy's hooves on the hard ground assured him that she was following. She answered each greeting from the other horses, whither friendly or not, with a happy whinny and toss of her head. There wasn't a horse alive that she didn't get along with. The most exuberant greeting though, came from Brig who was in the stall next to hers. She trotted up to the gentle giant, lipping at his neck when she reached him.
Here you are Indy. Charlie said, opening her stall and letting her walk in on her own. once she was in, she promptly turned around and grabbed hold of the shoulder of Charlie's shirt, stopping him in his tracks. He turned and looked at the horse who looked almost like she was laughing at him, and shook his head before pulling his shirt out of her teeth. She certainly had a heard ot gold, that was for sure.

Dustin
The SUV pulled into the stable's driveway and the two girls in teh backseat shrieked with joy. Dustin couldn't help but smile. He looked in the rearview mirror as the two five year olds strained in their booster seats. Their darling little faces pressed against the closed windows. Dustin parked as close to the barn as he could. There was a lot of stuff to carry. Melody fumbled with her seatbelt and Cassidy bounced up and down excitedly Open the door! Open the door! she screamed. Thank God for childlock Dustin chckled as he jumped from his own seat. Melody finally joined Cassidy banging madly on the window, asthough if they didn't make as much nise as possible, their Daddy might forget to let them out. Patience Ladies Dustin said as he opened the door and the terrible two came tumbling from the silver vehicle. He bent down to the five year olds' level and spoke slowly. Same rules appaly here at Pinewood as they did back home. No running, no screaming, no terrorizing. The two nodded in unison and hurried to the trunk Can we help? Melody asked? Cassidy pouted No fair! I was gonna ask first! Dustin shook his head and laughed You can both help
He opened the trunk and winced, wondering what would fall out of the ridculously full SUV. Suprisingly nothing did. Hmm he said c.ocking an eyebrow. He handed Melody a bridle and Cassidy three halters. One, draft sized and almost as long as Cass was tall, and two tiny pony sized, pink and purple. Dustin tugged a huge trunk full of winter blankets out again started towards the barn. He found his tack locker easily from what Ms. Kingery had shown him yesterday. The girls floowed in single file behind him. Whoa! Melody! Look at that horse! exclaimed Cassidy pointing to a beautiful paint mare. Melody immeadiatly reprimanded Cassie It's not polit to point Cass she said, but when she turned to look at the mare, her eyes widened considerably. Come along Girls chimed Dustin as he walked briskly back to the car. Next were the saddles, his wide tree and their two pony saddles. The girls carried brush kits along behind their father. The man that apparently owned the lovely paint mare was speaking fondly to her.
Dustin looked over and found that the other guy look strikingly like himself. He blinked and addressed the man Hello there he said, carrying on to his tack locker. He came back out and found the other man, standing before his two daughters. I love your horse Cassidy said with a darling smile. She's soo pretty Melody just stood and nodded along with Casidy, she was much to shy to say anything. Dustin chuckled and approached. Dustin Parker he said, holding out a hand to the young man. The other male appeared to be about the smae age as himself. He was actually the same hieght too. Dustin smiled charmingly and patted the girls on the head Melody and Cassidy... here's the part that suprises anyone they meet.... wait for it... My daughters there it is! Yeah, most people think their his baby sisters.

Chase Parker Chase was elated as he got out of his junky old pick-up. Today was the first day he'd get to see Illy since he got to Pinewood. He shut the door and walked over to the stall where his blue roan was placed. He had on a pair of old, beaut uf jeans with a slight hole in the knee from when he fell off Illy right when he got him. And his shirt, that used to be white, was know light brown white a big green spot where Illy had decided she wanted to nibble at after she had been grazing.
On his way to the stall he saw Charlie, and he stopped. Charlie was talking to a guy that looked peculiarly like himself. And what was that he heard him say? My name is Dustin Parker? It couldn't be. Chase thought him and Charlie where the only Parkers. Then again, Parker wasn't an uncommon name, but it was still interesting. So Chase made his way over to the two. Man, did they all look close. Sort of lke their dad. . . Chase cringed as he thought about their dad. Their poor dad. It was terrible when he died. With a curious look upon the 17 year olds face, he stood by Charlie, smiling.

He nodded to the guy who greeted him on his way past, he was a bit distracted by everything that was going on in his life at the moment. He was getting married, his fiance was pregnant with his kid, his brother just showed up in town and was apparently going to be living up here now, he just found out that his dad had died, and now Indy was here. It was a lot to take in all at once, and Charlie was kind of having a hard time with it. The paint mare's happy attitude though, seemed to lighten his mood a bit as well. It had been a while since he'd seen Indy, considering she'd been out at a "human therapy on horseback" clinic for a while since she was more than qualified to have disabled people up on her back.
Charlie turned towards two little girls, about five years old, that looked an awful lot like each other as one of them commented on Indy. He quite had to agree with them, she was a very pretty little thing...if little was the right word to describe her. In comparison to Brigadier, the giant Belgian Thoroughbred cross in the stall beside hers, she was tiny. Well thank you, He said with a bit of a smile, I'm sure miss Indy would thank you herself, but she's a bit shy about speaking in public. The mare was quite elated to see little people. She loved little people. She thrust her head out over the stall door towards the two little girls and nickered softly, slightly bobbing her head as she did so.
He then turned back towards the other guy, who had come in with them and was now introducing himself and the two little girls. He didn't even notice that this guy slightly resembled himself and his father...he wasn't so...observant that way. He did, however, notice that they had the same last name. He thought that was s bit odd, but you know how it is...Parker was an incredibly common name, and it wouldn't be the first time he'd run into somebody with the same last name. Just as he took the guy's hand, Chase showed up and stood next to Charlie.
He was slightly surprised that the two girls were his daughters, I mean really, he didn't look like he was older than Charlie, and if the girls were about five, that mean he would've had them at 16 or 17. God Charlie was 21 and he wasn't sure he was ready for a single kid, he couldn't imagine having twins at that age. Charlie...Parker. He said with a slight bit of hesitance between his first and last name, just for the fact that he, Chase, and Dustin, all had the same last name. That was life for ya, always had some sort of weird little thing like that waiting just around the corner. and my little brother, Chase. Yeah, he'd said little brother...not younger. He couldn't really call him little anymore, considering Charlie barely had an inch or two over him...but old habits die hard. Nice to meet you. He added, still not noticing what the other two had.
It was nothing short of a miracle that Charlie had even noticed that they had the same last name. He was pretty clueless at times when it came to things like that. A lot of times, people had to tell him directly instead of through subtle hints before he would finally catch on. That was one thing that made working as a cop difficult, he often failed to connect the dots. He'd worked hard on improving that while on the force, but he'd totally given up on it after he quit. There wasn't much point to it anyway.

Dustin
Cassidy and Melody nodded eagerly as the man spoke about Indy. Though Dustin was sure they didn't understand what in the world he was talking about. Dustin chuckled. He shook the other guy's hand and let his drop to his side. Melody immeadiatly latched onto it. There were too many people here, she was nervous. Cassidy was still enthralled with "Miss Indy" Good girl she cooed as the mare allowed the little girl to kiss her nose. Cassidy, I said no terrorizing! said Dustin with a chuckle. Cassie looked up at the man May I kiss your pony's nose Dustin couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous question. Better darling he said, tunring back to the other male just as another walked up behind him, him also resembling Dustin very much.
Charlie... Parker [/s] the man replied. Dustin's striking blue eyes widened. No.... No way.... he thought to himself. It couldn't be him. Oh c'mon! Like there's another Charlie Parker in this town who looks exactly like you! he thought to himself And this is my little brother Chase he explained of the guy beside him. Holy shit! it is them... both of them... On ym second day here.... just my damned luck He sighed deeply... Turning away slightly Excuse me for a moment. he said, an apologetic look upon his face. Cassie, Mel, theres one more box in the car, go get it he requested. She girls set off at a springy pace towards the SUV. that boght him some time... He ran a hand through his wavy chocolate hair. He turned to them Hometown? Father's Name? Is he... well.... past away? he asked. Immeadiatly realizing how strange this must've sounded. Forgive me... but I need to know.... he said softly....[/blockquote]

Chase Parker Chase was now sort of freaked out. This Dustin guy seemed freaked out when he learned the names of the brothers. Something was definitely up. "Hometown? Father's Name? Is he... well.... past away?" What kind of questions are these? Chase answered them anyway, though.
"Um, our dad's name is George. And we lived in New York, and yes, he'd dead. What's it to you?" even though it was unlike him, Chase was getting defensive. The subject of his father was still a sore one. He didn't apologize, though. It seemed like none of this guys business. Chase crossed his arms and moved a step nearer to Charlie. He didn't mind being called Charlie's little brother, as a matter of fact, he was proud.

Charlie smiled when the little girl asked if she could "kiss the pony's nose." He was quite certain that Indy wouldn't mind in the least. Of course. He said with a slight laugh. He could tell the two little girls were really into horses, and he hoped for their sake it stayed that way. He'd gone without a horse for a year after Brig died, and he was pretty sure that it was the lack of that companionship from a horse that had caused his depression. As soon as he bought Brigadier's Image, things had started looking up for him. There was just something about the gentle nature and forgiving attitude of horses that seemed to do something for him.
He was a bit surprised by the sudden fall of the guy's demeanor at the mention of their last name. Before he'd seemed like life couldn't be better, but as soon as he'd introduced himself and Chase, he seemed to get a bit...worried maybe? Then he started asking questions that were rather random about them. Charlie caught on to Chase's irritation at the sudden inquiries, and when his brother had stepped closer, he put his hand on his shoulder to keep him from blowing up at this guy. Charlie may not have been the most observant person in the world, but he certainly was one of the most calm people in the world. After being a cop, he sort of had to be a calm person.
He was slowly beginning to notice a few subtle differences between the three of them, but he still wasn't connecting the dots. He wondered if maybe this guy had known their dad or something like that from the way he seemed so eager to find out who he was. He was slightly confused, which wasn't helping the intense load already on his mind. He didn't feel like thinking about anything right now, and here was one more thing he had to think about. Is everything okay? Charlie asked the guy, not bothering to ask why he was asking those questions. Chase's reaction hadn't been the best and he was slightly concerned that this guy might not take to kindly to it.

Shit.... Dustin muttered under his breath Shit. Shit. Shit. This wasn't supposed to happen. Definatly not on his first day here! Dustin sighed deeply and hand a hand hough his hair again, he did that when he was nervous, along with his obessesive gum chewing habit... He looked over at Chase and Charlie. They stared back, their eyes full of confusion. I'm sorry... It's just Blast. He couldn't even bring himself to say it.... Dustin took a deep ragged breath and began slowly. I'm from Brooklyn... Born to a single mom.... She'd never been married, but she knew who my dad was... I didn't.... She phoned me the day I moved here. Told me my father had just past away..... His name was... George Parker. And she kindly informed me that my two half brothers, Charlie and Chase now lived within 50 miles of my new home.... he finished out of breath. His striking blue eyes searched his brother's faces, he hoped they wouldn't be angry, or upset...
Daddy! Daddy! Cassidy came bounding into the room, Melody following at a brisk walk. Dustin forgot all about reminding her not to run in the barn There was nothing in the truck Cassidy told him dubiosly, while tugging on his sleeve. Dustin rubbed his tired eyes. Okay honey, thanks anyways Cassidy turned around and stuck her tongue out at her sister. Hey! squealed Melody, reaching out and stamping on her sister's toe. Tears sprang to Cassie's face and Dustin picked her up, sighing Melody! before he could scold her, Cassidy took advantage of the fact that her foot was now eye-level with Mel's head, and kicked her sister in her her little blue eye. Cass! Dustin exclaimed. He rolled his eyes and scooped the other crying child into his free arm. He supposed the scene could've been comical, but he was just praying it would end. What a day.... What a day...

Chase Parker Click for Illiad Blu Chase stood there, totally shocked by what this stranger had just said. Then he began to tremble slightly underneath his brother's grip. After a second more he broke away from it, sort of rudely, but not rude on purpose. Then he stormed away to Illy's stall, and he even yelled, "Liar!" down the hall once. It was totally the opposite of his personality, he was normally the friendliest person you'd ever meet, but this was the opposite of the rest of his life!
He quickly unlocked Illliad's stall, and threw his arms around Illy's neck and buried his face in her wither's. Illy was the sweetest mare, and even though it was beyond anything a normal horse should understand, she undertood. She took her velvety muzzle and snuffled Chase's hair as he let a tear dampen her coat slightly. His father had been his role model since Charlie had left them, and there was no way he had been cheating on their mother. Chase lifted his head and stroked his face side lovingly as he wiped a few more tears from his eyes. This was unbelievable. No, it was impossible! This guy had to be some stupid, cruel imposter who like, stalked the two Parkers just so he could make them think thier father, their dead father, had had other kids. It was even before Chase was born! There was no wy this guy could be younger than seventeen year old Chase. He even had little kids.
[ooc;; heh, I wanted to be dramatic. It's one of those days, you know? Chase'll get over himself sometime, unless someone wants to force him over himself. xD ]

Charlie could hardly believe what he was hearing from this guy, but unlike Chase, he managed to remain just as cool and collected as before. He did stiffen a bit as Dustin continued on, his grip tightening slightly on Chase's shoulder. He really hadn't been on the best terms with his dad, but still...he hadn't imagined that he would have cheated on their mom...they always seemed so into each other. They made their retirement plans to spend the rest of their lives together, they rarely ever got in huge fights, and if they did, the both always ended up apologizing. It just didn't seem...right. But then again, that was often the case, no one ever suspected it. He'd had to break up more fights between a man and wife who had just discovered that the other had cheated than he cared to remember. Then of course he had to try to console whoever was cheated on...and more often than not they ended up bawling into his shoulder saying they thought he loved them and didn't ever think he would do that to her. A harsh reality, but a reality nevertheless.
Then Chase stormed off rather suddenly, and quite rudely too. Poor Chase, he'd been very close with their dad...looked up to him and everything. To find out that your hero wasn't quite so perfect as you thought was a very hard thing to deal with. He winced slightly as Chase yelled the word liar down the hall. At least the two girls hadn't come back yet. They would have been rather confused by that...maybe it was better that Chase had walked away so quickly so that they wouldn't be around to hear him say that. Sorry, Charlie said looking back up at Dustin, surprisingly still completely collected, and not appearing to be as shaken as he was. He took his passing kind of hard.
He paused for a minute, one question gnawing at the back of his mind. It was sort of a stupid question really, but Charlie just had to ask. Are you...sure? He said finally after a pause. Of course he was sure...he wouldn't have said it otherwise, but Charlie just absolutely had to ask. Just as he finished the question, the two girls returned, saying there was nothing in the car. This was one heck of a month. He proposes to the woman he loves, finds out she's pregnant, his little brother shows up in town, he finds out his dad is dead, and now it turns out he had a half brother that he never knew about. God this was stressful...weddings weren't supposed to be stressful for the groom...at least not like this.
