"Ok" He said calmly. He glanced at Highwire who had not moved since he'd last looked at his horse. "Can't wait" He couldn't believe he just had said that. His heart thundered in his chest. He kept his eyes from getting wide and just took a few steps towards Highwire until he was next to his horse.
"You can have this ring. I'll probably just bring the brat to the practice ring." He glanced back at Highwire, or 'the brat' as he often called him. He loved his horse though, loved the horse with all his heat. It was the only living thing he had been able to love with his whole heart since his brother. He looked down at the thought of his brother.
Highwire looked at Indie when she stamped her foot but quickly lost interest. He pushed on Evan's shoulder and made him stumble back a step. "Luck is something you always need when your handling him" He said as she rubbed the gelding's neck. "He can be unpredictable but maybe that's why I love him so much" He flipped the reins over Highwire's neck, the gelding perked up, knowing that he was going to finally be ridden.
Evan placed his foot in the saddle and hoisted himself up effortlessly. Highwire stepped forward without being told to. "Stop it" Evan said quietly to the gelding who snorted in protest but listened. "It was nice talking" He said but paused before saying anything more. "One O'clock it is" He said with a smile and clicked Highwire forward. Only now out of sight did he let his eyes widen in surprise of his own actions.

Blair avoided looking at Evan's face, rubbing Indie's nose instead. Her palms were sweating underneath her black riding gloves, and she was suddenly aware of her dirty half-chaps. Indie's ears were flicking back and forth, and once she tossed her head. Blair didn't see it. Please, she was totally out of it.
She drew a line in the dirt with her foot while Evan talked about how much he loved his horse. Blair admired that. A sensitive guy. Yeah, she could handle that. Why did he have to be so darn perfect? She sighed quietly.
Blair finally turned around and looked at him when he heard a stirrup leather move against the saddle. She looked up at him, shielding her eyes from the sun. She nodded in agreement and watched Highwire walk away. He had the most gorgeous smile. "One o'clock it is." she whispered, probably to Indie. The old mare nickered in farwell.
Blair pulled her stirrups back down and pulled herself into the saddle. She patted Indie's neck and kicked her forward, not consentrating the best in the world. She ended up thinking of that clear lip ring and glittering smile the entire time. She ended up hoping time would fly by until one o'clock. (Thread done?)
