Liz stopped moving her hand for sometime, hearing that Logan had been moving around. She heard him walk closer to her and then she felt his warm, comforting hand on hers. His sweet voice registered in her head and she was instantly comforted. She didn't know what it was, but she was comforted whenever he spoke. She felt closer than ever to him, this whole horrible experience bringing them closer together, even if Liz was in a coma. The words he spoke relieved her and made her feel...well, loved. A smiled crept on her face as Logan spoke, "I'm still here. I'll be here when you wake up." She wanted to take him in her arms and, well...love him. He always seemed to come to her rescue, even when she couldn't be rescued. She could still be comforted during hard times and that's what he was here for. She was happy he had stayed all this time. She didn't want him to have to be here that whole time, but he stayed anyway, even when she wasn't responding to anything.
"I'll always be there for you" These words struck at her heart like no other words had. They had so much meaning and so much possible future. He sounded tired, but even so, he sounded like he meant them, and really meant them. Another slight smile crept on her face, even though she hadn't been able to clearly hear his words she could make out just enough to understand what he meant. She definintely got the message too. She was starting to think she was really starting to love him. Even though they hadn't really known each other for long, he was pretty much everywhere Liz was and happened to be there and save her from difficult times. She could, once more sense he was tired and noticed that it had become dead quiet. She sighed peacefully and then got some more rest herself.

Logan && if I could do it again I would trade, give away, all the words that I saved in my heart; that I left unspoken; - - - - - - - - - -
Logan found his heavy eyes fall close, his hand still resting gently over Liz's. Logan heard her voice in his mind, and he saw her smile. He wanted more than anything for her to wake up and recover so he could tell her that he needed her to stay with him. Yes, he found himself loving her more and more. He had never intended to. In fact, he wasn't even looking for a girlfriend when he met her; but everything just seemed so right. Now he couldn't imagine life without her. That's why he nearly panicked when he had heard about what happened.
Anyone could see that Logan was protective over Liz; even if he told himself he wasn't. It killed him that he couldn't save her from this predicament, and he would have given anything to be laying in that hospital bed in place of her. He hated the fact that he wasn't there when it happened, even though he knew it was just a freak accident. Of course the image of her laying there, helpless, shot of such emotion, he would have most likely gone mad. Sighing, he opened his eyes once more to check on her.
She lay there still, the only movement was the shallow, up and down motion of her chest. There was something different though, almost as if she wasn't in a false sleep anymore, but rather a real sleep. Logan smiled. She looked so peaceful... he hopped that she really was. Closing his heavy eyes once more, he began to drift to sleep himself. It must have been late, but there was no way he was going home tonight. He had to be here when she woke up; he just had to be.

Liz I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me I still feel your touch in my dreams Forgive me, my weakness, but I don't know why Without you it's hard to survive
Comforted by Logan's warm hand on hers, Liz continued to sleep peacefully. Her sleep was dreamless, which was always a good thing. She inhaled and exhaled slowly and somewhat shallowly, but other than that. She was returning to normal. She slept for hours on end, even into the next morning and day. Her body had been so strained by all of the past day's events. It just wanted rest and wouldn't stop resting until she had totally regained her energy, which would take a while. It was about 2pm in the afternoon the next day, when Liz was able to hear and mindlessly observe her surroudings. She wasn't sure if Logan was still there, but deep down, somehow, she could tell that he most possibly was still around... somewhere.
Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky They wipe away tears that I cry The good and the bad times, we've been through them all You make me rise when I fall
Getting frustrated with not being able to do anything, Liz tried to open her eyes. At first, she failed but sooner or later, she was able to keep them open for at least a few seconds. She hadn't lasted long before her body kept her eyes close for a while. She didn't want that to happen, but her eyes seemed to grow heavier and heavier as she continued to open them. She gave a little sigh, but then accepted the fact that that was all she was able to do for now. She didn't want to push it either and make herself stay in the hospital even longer. So, she just stayed in the light rest she had been in before.
'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling And everytime we kiss, I swear I could fly Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last Need you by my side
Her mind swirled with thoughts. She barely remembered something about getting drunk in a bar, but she couldn't make out exactly what happened. She knew she had done something bad though and Logan had been there. She remembered, most vividly, how Logan's face clearly showed disapproval. He could've walked out on her that night, left her with some guy and let him take advantage of her, but he didn't. He stuck up for her and protected her, even when she was completely wrong. No matter where she was, he was and he was there, protecting her. Was it coincidental or did Logan... love her? She couldn't think straight about what happened than night and her mind wouldn't let her conclude anything about Logan loving her. It just let her be active enough to do small signals, telling everyone she was going to fight through this. She wasn't going to let her spirit die and she certainly wasn't going to leave her friends or especially Logan.
Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky They wipe away tears that I cry The good and the bad times, we've been through them all You make me rise when I fall

Logan && I never want to leave your side cause baby it's your love that gets me through the day; - - - - - - - - - -
Logan must have slept for hours, and when he woke up it was daylight already. He rubbed his stiff neck and looked around. The afternoon sun streamed through the shades of the hospital window and landed in small yellow pools on the tile floors. It took him a moment to realize where he was, then everything came flooding back to his memory, and he sat up quickly. His quick glance landed on Liz’s still figure, and then a nurse who was standing near her and re-adjusting tubes and wires and such.
”How is she?” He asked anxiously, suddenly worried that something might be wrong. How long had he slept? The nurse smiled warmly. ”It’s about time you woke up” She said kindly, giving him a gentle smile. ”She’s coming along” she added reassuringly. ”In fact, she opened her eyes for a bit a little while ago. I didn’t have the heart to wake you up; you’ve been here all night you know” The nurse added, almost motherly. Logan didn’t know wither to frown or smile, so his face contorted oddly, still almost half out of it. ”Thanks” He managed, switching his gaze to Liz.
Now he did smile, reaching out to caress her forehead. ”Did you hear that? You’re coming along great. Just keep resting now” He whispered, almost as a mother talking to her child. He looked back to the nurse and smiled softly, somewhat embarrassed. She returned the smile knowingly and turned to leave. ”I’ll be back to check on her in about an hour” The nurse said softly, standing in the door frame. Logan nodded, and switched his attention back to Liz, getting lost in thought as he sat down again with a sigh.
What would he say when she woke up? He could tell her how scared he was. He could tell her he was sorry... but sorry for what? That he wasn’t there? He shook his head. He knew she would think that was ridiculous. Probably because it was. Could he tell her that he never wanted to leave again? Could he tell her he loved her? He sat back, analyzing the thought for what seemed like the 50th time. Was it really that simple?
He buried his head in his hands, taking a deep breath. Why were there so many questions? He had always been one to make u his mind right away, so why was this so different? After everything, he knew one thing; he wouldn’t give up on her. He had to be there for her when and after she woke up. He knew he could never give up on her.

Liz
Dreaming of what could be And if I'd end up happy I would pray
Liz had soon found herself drifting back into sleep. She slept peacefully and quietly, her breathing once again a little bit shallow. She was unaware of the nurse and Logan conversing together. The last thing her body wanted to do was work harder than it had to and if that meant missing the sweet and smooth sound of Logan's voice... that's what it came to. Right now, her body's health came before her love. They hadn't exactly determined that they were going out, but they were always hanging out or watching out for each other. It certainly did seem like they were together because of that. Now, here Logan was, staying with Liz and sleeping in the hospital, not leaving her side at all. The nurse must have thought that they were in fact dating or even more than just dating, but really serious about each other. The thought of that would've excited Liz immensely, but as previously stated, her body was too weak to continue responding as she did.
Trying hard to reach out But when I'd try to speak out Felt like no one could hear me Wanted to belong here But something felt so wrong here So I'd pray I could breakaway
Not long before Liz fell asleep, She heard Logan's voice once again. It was a comforting sound to her ears. She felt she could finally rest peacefully and know that Logan wouldn't leave her side. If he had actually spent all night with her, deep down, she knew he would stay with her through it all. She missed being able to speak, to respond, or to convey her true emotions at all. She missed her normal life and missed being able to be around the smelly, dirty barn, spending days with Cherokee and doing nothing, but dreaming what could be. She missed everything that her life had been... before the accident. Of course she wouldn't blame it on anybody, but it seemed to turn her whole life around.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky And I'll make a wish Take a chance Make a change And breakaway
It had been a few more hours before Liz's body was anywhere near ready to work and really think again. She felt somewhat better, but still exhausted. She could last for a little while, but the few hours her body had gotten only provided her with not even an hour's time of activity. Anyway, she hoped Logan had been watching her because she wanted him to see that she was truly coming around. She had heard the conversation between the nurse and him earlier and how he had been asleep. Well, she didn't want him asleep again. She worked to try and open her eyes again. They seemed to stay open for longer and she was just barely able to see the things in the room. Her vision was slightly blurry as her eyes opened, but they soon focused a little more. They were still blurry, but better than they originally had been. She kept them open for longer this time too. She kept her eyes opened for what seemed like eternity, but really was on a minute or two. The doctor who had taken care of her when she first came in, stopped by. His expression was bright and he seemed pleased that she was finally coming around. It's good to see you're trying to wake up. He said, happily, knowing that she would hear what he said. Just don't do it too much, you don't want to strain your body any more than it is. Liz made a mental note of that and then started to close her eyes, the heaviness in them becoming to overwhelming for her. She tried again and kept them open for even longer, before closing them once again for a long while.
Out of the darkness and into the sun But I won't forget all the ones that I loved I'll take a risk Take a chance Make a change And breakaway
(lol, I had no muse at first and struggled, but I finally got the flow back. It may be because of the fact that I was at a horse show most of the day xD.)

Logan && I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you and I don't wanna miss a thing; - - - - - - - - - -
Logan's eyes drifted around the room a few times as he thought. No, nothing important, just whatever he could think about to keep his mind of the worry that seemed to overwhelm his still tired mind. The doctors assured him that she would be okay, but as the minutes and hours ticked by, he couldn't help but start to stress out. His attempts to switch his mind to other things, however, were to no avail. It wasn't long before his eyes stopped landing on random things around the room and landed back on Liz. But there was something different this time. Logan felt his heart skip a beat. Were her eyes open?
He leaned forward in his chair and took her hand again. Yes, her eyes wore opened. He smiled, letting a small, sigh-like, laugh emit from his throat. "Liz?" He asked, running his eyes over her face for a any sign of a response as he brushed his hand along her cheek. "Can you hear me?" He asked fervently but softly, not wanting to startle or scare her. She seemed dazed, and not quite awake, but none of that mattered to Logan at that moment, except for the fact that he worried a little that she would strain herself. Just seeing that little sign of progress was enough to momentarily put his still tired mind at ease.
He looked up as the doctor came in and talked to her. It's good to see you're trying to wake up. Just don't do it too much, you don't want to strain your body any more than it is. He heard him say. Logan looked back to Liz and nodded himself, making a mental note to keep an eye on her and make sure she didn't hurt herself more. "Thanks doctor" He said with a smile. The doctor wrote something down on her chart, nodded to Logan with a smile and left. Logan looked back to Liz and bit his lip, debating wither to do what he was thinking about doing or not. He eyes were closed now, so he slowly leaned forward and brushed his lips across her forehead tenderly. "You're doing good Liz, now get some more rest" He whispered before sitting back against the chair and trying to get some more rest himself.
- - - - - - - - - - 'Cause even when I dream of you, the sweetest dream will never do I'd still miss you and I don't wanna miss a thing;

Liz But a part of me is dead and in the ground. This love is killin me But your the only one It's not over.
Liz hated that her body was still weak and couldn't handle what she wanted to do. She really wanted to just be better and enjoy Logan's real company. She took some deep breaths and then sighed a little bit. She was still aware of everything around her, but she had to keep her eyes closed. She figured that she'd be able to open them later again. It was just going to take a while. Whatever it took, she was going to fight through this hard time. She wasn't going to give up and wasn't going to give in. When she heard Logan's voice she was comforted again. She now completely and confidently knew that he was never going to leave her side until she was much, much better. It was nice knowing that someone was going to always be there for you.
I've taken all I can take And I cannot wait We're wastin too much time Bein strong, holdin on Can't let it bring us down
Liz had heard the doctor walk by her bed and then Logan thank him. Hopefully she could get out of the hospital soon. She really wanted to get out and do stuff with the horses, but even so. She might not be able to do anything strenuous for weeks even after she got out. The thought hurt her emotionally somewhat, but she pushed it aside and would save it for later. It wasn't the best time to be thinking about stuff like that. She just had to think about the next few days, most likely being spent in the hospital. Liz had heard Logan's question and she nodded. It wasn't too obvious because it hurt her head, but she nodded slightly. Her lips gave way to a small smile and she rested quietly in her bed.
My life with you means everything So I won't give up that easily Blowin away blowin away Can make this something good? Cause it's all misunderstood?
Liz soon felt Logan's had on her cheek and she turned happy. All thoughts besides Logan vanishing from her thought process for the moment. She soon felt his breath on her forehead and even sooner his lips. They were warm and inviting. Her heart skipped and shivers ran down her back. She wanted to kiss him back so badly, but there just wasn't anyway she could right now. Another small smile gave way. Soon, above all odds, she was trying to say something. She could bare hear herself, but soon she finally got it out a little louder. She wasn't sure if this was the right time or not or if their relationship was ready for it, but she finally just got it out. I love you, Logan. She said. It was sincere, but quiet and a little bit hoarse.
But a part of me is dead and in the ground. This love is killin me But your the only one It's not over.

Logan I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away dreaming; - - - - - - - - - - - -
Logan was glad to see that Liz seemed happy and at peace. The small smiles that appeared on her features ever so often meant everything to him and he wondered what she was thinking. The sound of her steady breathing kept him awake; but in a good way. The faintest of smiles played on his own features as he sighed and continued to rest his eyes, his thoughts consumed with her.
His eyes were still closed lightly when he heard something. At first it was quiet, but then it was louder, more distinctive. His eyes flew open, and he sat up immediately. Was she talking? It took him a second to put the words together and his heart skipped a beat. "I love you, Logan" He wasn't sure if it was because she spoke, or because of what she said, but he could barely think straight
At a loss for words, he managed to smile and reach out to gently brush his fingers along her cheekbone. He knew it was quite possible that she was delirious, but she sounded so sincere, and he wanted more than anything to believe what she had said. "I love you too" He whispered softly, just loud enough for her to hear. He meant it with all his heart, and they formed effortlessly on his tongue.
Now the words she had spoke played over and over in his head "I love you, Logan" His eyes were soft as he thought. Yes, the more he heard it the more he believed what she had said. Right now he knew he had to focus on getting Liz better, but still; the thought of being with her made him incredibly happy. He almost wished he could stay like this forever in this sweet moment where he could finally speak the words that had been on his mind since they first met. "I love you Liz".
- - - - - - - - - - - - I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Cause every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure; ((OOC: eh, still not really the best, but it's long-ish! lol))

Liz You are all I can remember after all that we've been through forever in my heart
All was quiet in her hospital room. The tv had been turned off and it was just Logan and Liz there together. It was peaceful, but not too peaceful. The hospital smells and sounds invaded the peacefulness with their constant beeping and all too clean smells. Liz soon started to fade, but kept herself aware and waiting for Logan's response. She really did love him and this only brought her closer to him. So much she regretted that this was in a hospital, but she couldn't help it. She didn't ask for that horse to attack her. It just happened. She breathed in and out slowly. Her breathing was more controlled than it had been the day before, which was always a good sign.
As she heard Logan speak, she listened carefully. Her heart soon swelled with happiness when she heard his words. I love you too. He also seemed sincere, like those words had been playing at his heart all the times that they had hung out. She was ready for sleep soon and ready to rest the whole entire day. She had made progress, but she could feel her body ache and scream for rest that it really needed. Soon, she felt his smooth and warm finger run over her somewhat pale cheek. Once again, a small smile crept along her cool lips. She was forever at comfort with Logan and would always be. She had liked him the first time they met and hasn't stopped liking or even more, loving him.
She soon heard his voice again and his words ran through her head many times. I love you Liz It was the end of a good day. It wasn't perfect because she was in the hospital, but it was a good day. With his last words, she fell into a deep sleep with nothing but the image of Logan running through her head. She was in a pleasant sleep and she would most likely not come out for a while.
one more night i wanna be with you where i wanna hold you tight it feels so right tonight so leave it up to you and i think the time is right to stop the fight
