She popped the lid of the alchohal ever-so slowly, cold clammy hands gripping onto the solution to her problems at this point. A deep breath was exhaled, followed by the sip, the taste stinging her tongue. It would make her feel better. Hopefully. Yet, she didn't want to forget. She didn't want to forget about it. In fact, she wouldn't ever forget it, no matter what she did. No solution or bottle of beer would ever make her feel the way she did with him. Another deep breath. In. Out. In. Out. Crying wouldn't help. No, not at all. She needed to be true to herself. It's not gonna happen again. Oh yes, it will. No. Never. Grasping what she still had, Gabrielle promised herself to never do it again. Never, ever let go someone or something you know you love. Never. Never ever ever.
hey there, it's good to see you again it never felt right calling this just friends i'm happy if you're happy with yourself
His words stung her like a bee, only without the pain. It was shocking, yet very legitimate. Opening her mouth, nothing came out. No words decided to go on out of her lips. And that, that exact moment, was when everything turned upside-down. The ringing of her phone startled her, it made her jump in her seat. Put the phone down I have to answer. It's my father. You can call him back No. It must be important. He never calls. "Um, one second." The words came out un-intentionally. Un-noticed, un-cared about.
"Your mother... she passed away. Silently. Out of the blue."
Her paranoid father rambled, Gabby almost caught a few sobs. After she hung up, the poor girl felt so stuck, no one could ever pull her out. She didn't even remember what happened. She remembered a few words to Jason, told him what happened, then left. Left him waiting on the edge of a cliff, running off and abandoning him. What a great friend she could be. She left for home, helped out her family, and now is back. And, the best part is, she didn't even leave any notice. Just left. For a whole month. You would never imagine how the girl felt. Awful. Liar. B*tch. A horrible friend.
i'm gonna break down these walls i've built around myself i wanna fall so in love with you and no one else could ever mean half as much to me as you do now
The tears fell, on and on. Never-ending. Always lingering until the previous fell. They built on and on, leaving her with all the water in her body. Chugging half of the bottle down, she slammed it on the side-table beside the ratted couch she was sitting on, face soaked in painful daggers dropping onto her lap. With every stab, she cried even more, heart broken in two. She didn't know where the other half was; all she knew was that it was nowhere in her sight range. No matter how hard she would look, she would never find it. Never find the love she used to have. Just another faded picture in a photo book. Just another friendship. Just another love.
together we'll move on just don't turn around let the walls break down.
Bottle smashing onto the floor, her bottle drained of all liquid, seeping through the wide crack; just like her empty, torn heart.
She didn't even get to call him and tell him her answer.
Yes.
The tears came more unceasingly, now.
word count; 646 lyrics; walls - all time low notes; apparently her mother died, and she had to leave. that explains my absence. do whatever you want; reject her, give her another chance. i deserve the rejecting! i'm a bad person for leaving for a while and not giving any notice, just like gabby!
Jason was confused. He has gone on a date with this girl..her name was Gabrielle. Well, he really liked her. She was not really girly but not to manly either.. she was just right. And all of a sudden she had to disapear. He didn't like the idea of her disapearing but it wasn't like he could stop her because he had no clue why she went or when. She just was gone. He felt like it was his fault though, like he has scared her away with the question he asked the last time he saw her. She never did anwser him.
It was bugging him, he wondered if he should call her. I mean he was at home, doing nothing since he has finished his work already at the barn. He had really liked Gabby. He could never get her off his mind. It was killing him. He was tempted to move on and find someone new, but he couldn't. Everytime he thought about it, Gabby popped into his head. He couldn't, even though they weren't going out or anything serious, he wanted another chance to show her he was a good guy.
He looked at his phone and finally decided to try calling her cell phone. He let it ring and almost hung up, but didn't. The rings seemed to last forever. One after the other. He hoped and prayed she would anwser. He didn't know where she was at, she could be in pinewood now... at the barn. But he didn't know, he was at home worried something had gone wrong and he wanted to be there to hold her and take her in his arms and make it all better. If only that was possible anyway. Four rings....and he prayed to God she would anwser.
[ooc: lol its ok. I understand. i will keep her :] no one could be better for him. ]

tell me that you love me and it'll be alright are you thinking of me? just come with me tonight
Her head found its place on the cushion, knees curled up in a tight little ball of nothing. The only thing on her mind was him. The only voice she could hear was his, and the only thing her eyes made clear was him. Him, him, him. If only, if only... if only. Trying desperately to pull herself together, she sat up, staring at the wall ahead of her. It was a quaint little loft, perfect for hanging with friends or relaxing after a ride. Yeah, if you had friends. Rolling her eyes at her negative thoughts, she sat up, swallowing down the tears. Yes. Yes! Good. Keep going. You can do it! A small smile lit up, and she opened the door. Two steps, and she'd be perfectly fine. She would get her horse, go on a nice, long trail ride, and come back. She would call her friends, they would have a nice little lunch, and she would go home and do--well, nothing. And then--
Ring, ring. Ring, ring. Ring, ring.
Quickly pulling out her phone, she looked at the caller I.--
Jason?
At first, she had no idea what to do. Whether to feel happy or sad. Whether to know if to answer or not. She didn't know. Not a thing. Troubled and shaky, she answered, slowly putting it up to her ear. Now or never. "Hello?" Should she tell him how much she missed him? Should she apologize for being a jerk? Should she? Should she? No. Pass, please. Her gut didn't even know what to do--it was helpless and motion-less. Sighing, she awaited the words that might just change her life.
What if he decided not to even talk to her anymore? She wouldn't blame him. If Gabby was in his position, she surely would. She was a jerk, a vulnerable little jerk. And that was definitely the last thing she wanted to be known to as him.
you know i need you just like you need me can't stop, won't stop; i must be dreaming.

Truth was that Jason loved this girl. They didnt' know each other really well but he had feelings for her like no other girl. The little time spent with her he had grown to love her. No he hadn't told her that, not yet. He wanted to take his time, but still. When she disappeared he had no reason why. He didnt' want to lose her. But he didn't want to nag her either so he never called her.
He had seen girls and just wasn't interested in them like he was Gabby. He wished he knew why but he didn't. She was perfect for him. She was his missing puzzle piece. Now that he finally decided to call her and see where she was, if she was coming back, if she hated him.. or whatever he was anxious to hear her voice and say that she was alright and that she missed him. Or something to that point. He would fight for her.
It seemed forever those four little rings. But every ring something on her face popped into hsi mind. First her eyes, then her smile, then her beautiful hair, then the freckles on her face. God he just plain missed her. Finally he heard someone pick up then a familiar voice came on. "Hello?" His heart about jumped out of his chest in excitement. She anwsered her phone. "Yes.. it's Jason. Oh my God! I missed you! Where have you been... I need to see you. Where you at?" He was just full of so many questions and he wanted to see her and talk to her in person and not over the phone. He wanted to just plain see her and hold her in his arms.
He paused a moment to breathe. "Sorry.. I was worried about you." He said truthfully and took deep breathes to calm his excitement. He was standing now heading out to his truck, not going to waste anytime that he could have to be with her sooner. He wanted to see her.. and right now.

my life in the rearview i'm running from jesus don't know where i'm going to
His sweet voice interrupted all thoughts of hers, like the caramel center of a chocolate bar. It made her heart stop, then go again. A few shaky breaths later, he spoke, surprising her so much, so jumped, landing on the couch. A loud groan of the furniture let her know that she was in reality, for sure. Something came out of his mouth, yet she didn't know if he was serious or just kidding around with one of his friends. "Yes.. it's Jason. Oh my God! I missed you! Where have you been... I need to see you. Where you at?" An O still formed on her face, she gasped, blinked a few times, and kept her mouth closed. Not knowing what to say, she leaned her head back, the stinging of pain not even being in feeling as she almost dropped the phone.
"Sorry.. I was worried about you." That was the moment when Gabby stopped gaping and smiled; he really meant it. She could hear it in his beautiful voice. The sound of truth; the sound of meaning. At first she didn't speak, she just tried to find the right words to come out of her mouth. Then, finally, it came to her exactly what she wanted to say. "I--I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I'll explain later. Oh, God--you do not know how much I've missed you." You could hear the smile in her voice; it was so obvious. And she meant it, too. Down to the last grain of sand out by the ocean. Then she remembered where she was, and blurted that out as well. "I'm at the barn--please come. I really need to talk to you." With a long-awaited sigh of happiness, she ran out the door of the loft and took out Twilight, starting to groom him. He was awfully dirty.
Trying to pass time, she thought about the conversation and how much Jason had said to her. Wow, it was breath-taking. She had been dreading that moment, but now, she hoped it had come sooner then it did. She kept exhaling, trying to calm herself down. Yet, she knew there would be a lot of tears when he walked through that doorway, just for her.
got nothing to lose i'm fighting my demons been looking for someone like you.

Jason didn't know how long he had been waiting for her to appear back in Pinewood. He never kept track but it seemed like eternity. He missed her alot. The twinkle in her eyes, the brightness in her smile.... he could name off a bunch of stuff but God.. he just missed it all. He missed her in general. He was excited to hear her pick up and he was out of breathe when he finished talking.. and he apologized for it.. with sincerity.
"I--I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I'll explain later. Oh, God--you do not know how much I've missed you." Finely her voice spoke up and he grinned to himself. This was like a dream.. something he had been waiting for. "It's ok.. " He started and was interupted. "I'm at the barn--please come. I really need to talk to you." She told him. He hoped everything was ok and that she wasn't in serious danger or anything. "It's ok. I'm on my way. I will see you in a few. Bye." He said and hung up.
He was already in his truck and he started it up. He drove quickly, but carefully to the barn. He needed to do chores anyway, but his mind was focussed on Gabby more then anything. He arrived and parked his truck out of the way of everything and got out and stuffed his phone in his pocket and walked toward the entry of the barn. He stepped in could smell the horses and he grinned. Then he spotted Gabby and walked up behind her and Twilight and he hugged her from behind. He kissed her cheek. "I missed you so much...don't do what he did ever again.." He said softly and then turned her around in his arms so he could see her face.
He studied her face...the twinkle in her eye.. the brightness in her smile. He smiled to himself then leaned down and kissed her lips gently. "What did you need to talk about?" He asks and reached over to patt Twilight's neck to let him know he was there and that he wasn't gonna hurt the horse. He looked back to Gabby, his heart racing. He was so happy to see her, but he was kinda worried what she wanted to talk to him about.. Did she find someone else? Was she pregnant? Was she in danger? Did she have to go back?
