Deep in the heart of rural West Virginia lies a modest little horse town where everyone knows everyone and there's never an off season. But there's more to this place than meets the eye. A small stable nestled on the outskirts of town is where our story begins. It has history and more is being written every day. What used to be a small little farm has grown into a budding stable. There's drama, competition, bonds, and break ups. It's all or nothing, and hardly anything is what it seems. This is your chance to make a name for yourself. Think you can handle it? Come join the family down at Pinewood Stables; where everyone is welcome, but only the best survive.

Season: Temperature:
» Around 20 degrees. Conditions:
» Time to drag out those horse blankets, my friends: it's winter time again. The air is bitter cold and a thin layer of snow coats the ground. Thank goodness no one's snowed in yet. Small flurries are the only thing to look out for as of right now, but I'd still suggest checking the weather ahead of time before taking any of the back roads. Events: » Christmas Party coming soon!

Stable Yard (1 sub-board) Welcome to Pinewood Stables! A small painted sign welcomes you as you pull into the gravel parking lot. It looks innocent enough... straight ahead you'll see a door leading to the Stable Office and the front desk, where you can find all the info you need to begin boarding or riding here at Pinewood. Also ahead are the large wooden doors leading to the Stable Hall, where our resident horses reside and groomers work daily. If they're open, you may even be able to look right down the wide isle and catch a glimpse of our Lesson Rings where our Instructors give public lessons weekly. Congratulations, you've officially begun your journey here at Pinewood Stables. Good luck!
The Stable Hall Located in the center of the stable, this is where our resident horse's stay. Chances are that you'll find yourself here very often, wither bonding or caring for your horse. The stalls are clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing atmosphere for your horse. The large Tack Room is at the end of the long hall and to the left, where each boarder gets their own personal cubbies for holding their tack and horse supplies, as well as a locker for holding their personal things and other riding gear. A small shower and bathroom are also located there. A wash rack sits at the end of the hall to the right, where you can bathe and wash your equine, and out the large wooden doors lead you to our riding rings.
The Loft Located right above the Stable Hall, this fun and spacious little room holds a large TV, a radio, two couches and plenty of chairs; providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere to hang out with stable buddies (or maybe some other riffraff). A small fridge sits in the corner, serving as a great place to store your lunch, or grab a snack and a bottle of water. Have fun, but don't cause too much trouble; I'm sure the janitor wouldn't appreciate a mess. Pinewood meetings, gatherings, and inside events are also held here occasionally.
Practice Rings (2 sub-boards) These nice dirt rings are easily accessible from the stable hall, located just outside and to the right. You can come here to practice a few courses or simply warm-up your horse. Both English and Western Rings are available to our boarders 24/7 for whatever purpose they choose.
Lesson Rings (2 sub-boards) These two large rings are located just to the left of the Practice Rings and just as easily accessible from the Stable Hall. Western and English lessons are held in separate rings, taught by our Riding Instructors. If you would like to schedule a lesson, be sure to sign up for it at the Front Desk. Only Riding Instructors may start threads here.

Barrel arena If your like a lot of us here at Pinewood, you love some good old barrel racing. Here you can practice your barrel skills as well as work on your speed and endurance. We don’t really require any supervision with this particular sport, but as always you should ride with a helmet as it is always safer that way. Not just barrels are located in this out door arena, but poles for pole bending as well. Gymkhanas are sometimes held here when the occasion arises.
Jumping Arena Here is where all the jumps are located. The arena is large and well kept; surrounded by strong white vinyl fencing and containing a firm dirt base. On one side, you'll find the small jumps, which are best for beginning riders or horses, as well as warm up jumps. On the other side are the larger jumps, best suited for professional horse and riders (or perhaps if you're looking to step it up to the next level). Always make sure you wear your helmet out here.
Round pens Hardly anyone uses them any more, since most horses get along fine in the pasture... but these Round-pens are great if you want to keep your horse solitude for a while (or if they don't get along with other equines). In fact they are just calling your name! Any extra money found in the Pinewood budget is currently going towards an indoor riding ring, so we'd sure applicate if you'd fix these old pens up for us. Yes, they are certainly safe enough for turn out, but also not particularly a sight to behold... So it's all up to you.

The Pastures (1 sub-board) With 20 acres of rolling hills, shade, and even a small creek, you can turn you faithful equine companion out here to graze and relax after a long day's work. Boarders, feel free to lead your horses out here for a nice, long and relaxing ride in the open pastures. Our staff check the water troughs every morning to make sure they are filled with fresh, clean water, and we make sure they never freeze over in the winter, so no worries. If you wish to keep your horse(s) separate from the others, you may also put them in the Mare and Foal Pasture.

Pinewood Trail (1 sub-board) Sometimes you just need a nice relaxing trail ride... located on the west side of the stable yard, the Pinewood trail is a beautiful historic path that runs through Pinewood forest. On it you will pass Bentfield brook, the old cemetery (but I wouldn't stay long there), and the lake. Not to mention the breathtaking West Virginia scenery. If you're lucky enough, you might even stumble upon the old race track... enjoy!
Legendary Trail Here at Pinewood we annually give out a 3 hour trail ride across this beautiful and challenging trail. This legendary ride will take you though the farmer’s grassland, to the forests of Pinewood, to a local creek and a nice field that’s safe for good gallop. It’s a very nice trail and it absolutely breathtaking if you start out in the evening, just in time to see the sun set over the Virginia mountains. If you don't have a group to go with you, we suggest taking the Pinewood Trail, which is only about 20 minutes and a great place to relax and bond with your horse.
Pinewood Show Grounds Ah, show day. Just imagine the buzz of the riders preparing their mounts, the sound of the crackling loud speaker, the rush of mounting your horse and entering the ring, the feeling of being under the lights, the thrill of the crowd as you whip around that last barrel and race to the finish, or clear that last jump perfectly and stick the landing... you've worked all year, now go out there and prove that you're the best of the best! Are you ready? This is were the real competition begins... Moderator: Cheyenne Kings}

The Tack Shop Ahh, don't you just love the smell of a good old tack shop? Located a few miles from the stables on the outskirts of town (although still easily accessible), The Tack Shop contains all your tack, feed, and horse care needs. You can also find riding and work apparel; not to mention lots more horse-lover goodies.
Adams Veterinary Clinic With the highest rated large animal facility in the county, Adams Veterinary Clinic is guaranteed to offer 5 star health care for your pet. You can bring your horse here if they become ill or injured, but be sure to come here regularly for routine check-ups and vaccines as well. The clinic is run by Dr. Adams, who happens to be Pinewood's exclusive vet.

Pinewood General Hospital Ouch, so you found yourself at Pinewood General huh? Well it's just like any other hospital really: sterile white walls, bright lights, and the smell of alcohol. What, do they mop the floors with that stuff? Anyway, at least you can rest assured that Pinewood General is up-to-date on all the modern equipment. The rooms aren't very big but hey, at least you have one of those cool beds right? Open wide and say 'ahhh'... good luck getting out of here.

Old Fashioned Soda Shoppe The Old Fashioned Soda Shoppe is another great place to chill out with friends. Run by the kind old Mrs. Pewter, you will always feel at home. Most of Pinewood's Rider's come here after lessons to cool down and fulfill their sweet tooth. Wither you crave something different like a pineapple kiwi peanut butter and marshmallow slide (ewww) or just a plain bowl of vanilla ice-cream you're sure to find it with almost any combination available...
The Mall Who doesn't love to hang out at the mall? The local riffraff like to come here to stir up trouble, but you don't hang with that crowd, right? So you've got nothing to worry about. The mall isn't that big, but it offers you all your basic needs, as well as a few of your favorite stores. So go ahead and shop away! Don't forget to bring some extra money for the food court, or the movie theater maybe? Have fun!

Rumors Dance Club Welcome to Rumors; the new dance club in town. It's sure to be a big hit, and it's already stirring up controversy. A dance club in Pinewood? Scandalous! But you know you're curious... located appropriately at the edge of town, you can come here to dance the night away to some of the best music in town. Or maybe dancing isn't your thing. No worries, you can head over to the bar and try out the new drinks. Alright now who's ready to party? Time to break in those fake ID's...
Alleyway Your typical dark and spooky alleyway. Some pretty suspicious stuff happens around here, so be careful. Definitely don’t want to hang out here after dark.

Trailer homes (10 sub-boards) Sadly, not all of Pinewood is living up to the rich and fancy. The trailer park is where people who prefer to live in smaller homes, make their lives. It’s fairly close to the mall. The neighborhoods aren’t so safe, but luckily the police station is near by. The styles of the homes are your typical trailer, in various colors. The homeowners don’t really care about this place. Go ahead, paint your trailer pink.
Bella Vista (23 sub-boards) Bella vista is for all your normal folk. Yes, buy normal I mean it. These are all around nice houses, large and roomy. They have backyards and such for your house pets too. These are extremely safe, and are located near the park. It’s an all around big neighborhood, lots of areas to chill and even a public pool. They don’t live up to the Springwood houses, but are much better than the trailer homes.
Springwood (13 sub-boards) Want to be the richest kid in town? Your next stop is springwood. Located right next to the stables, these defiantly are the best mansions around. Rumors have it, the Paramore kids live here. So come on, you know you want to buy a home here. Where is my four million?
Studios Need a graphic made? Well, we aren't all talented in the art of image manipulation, but come here and you might just find someone willing to make it for you.
Archives This is where all the finished threads will go; to help clear up the boards. If there is a thread that you've finished, please PM to let me know and I will move it here! Thanks.
